Ahoy!

Today I made this, which is my first dip into 3d art, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I haven't had this much fun making something since I was like 10 building with Lego.

I didn't make art of my oc this time, because I wanted a little break from that (might make a little model of her eventually though), because this time I wanted something more chill and more important to me, so I made this, a *new* 3ds with animal crossing New leaf ready to play.

The new 3ds was my first ever console, and new leaf is one of my favorite games of all time, so it felt fitting for a nostalgia-based piece.

I worked on this for about like 14-15 hours, and I absolutely love the result!

Needless to say, I'll be making more low-poly.

Trying to force my butt through learning Blockbench. It is easier than Blender in a lot of ways but there’s some things I don’t even know how to articulate that irritate me. Either way this is my first complete model.

Learning of the Soul Reaver remakes incoming made me revisit the first and finally complete it after never managing to in my childhood. I’m ngl I loved the block puzzles so much, but I have the feeling that they were probably hated by most others, especially since I’ve heard they were ditched in the second game? I shall find out soon I guess.

Been trying to figure out Blockbench animation but it’s honestly driving me insane. I don’t understand it at all. I’ve fiddled for hours and watched tuts but none of it makes any sense to me. Idk. Hopefully it clicks at some point.
