#365SketchChallenge 156-162/365 - 6/2 - 6/8/18 - Shoulder Nibbles I would have liked to have made this post a smidgen sooner, but I came down with a terrible flu Sunday night and have been bedridden since. I have a bit energy right now, so I’ll share these feelings. This past weekend was absolutely unforgettable, and here’s why... Exactly two years ago, Robbie and I met at the Maryland Faerie Festival by sheer chance through our love of making and sharing music. Shortly after, we fell in love and began making music together as the Sweet Maple Singers. The following year, like an answered prayer, this magickal festival booked us to play! Words cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am to the @mdfaeriefest for inviting us back again to share our songs with all the wonderful human, faerie, elf, wizard, merfolk, and elemental folk alike - all while Robbie and I get to celebrate the anniversary of our union and love. It really is a dream come true. As I walked the labyrinth, I thanked the magical folk of the OtherRealm for helping to guide our souls back together in this life time. After I met Robbie, I finally understood what the love written in folklore and faerie tales is really all about. I love you, Robbie, to the moon and beyond. 365SketchChallenge 19/365 - A Prayer for Healing Although this sketch is a couple weeks old, I feel it still applies to some of what I’ve been going through in the past couple days. The slow process of healing from the problems caused by the Mirena IUD as well as the triggered late stage #Epsteinbarrvirus has been one of the hardest experiences of my entire life. Since the conditions have been coupled with severe tendinitis, sometimes I feel incredibly overwhelmed. I pray every day for healing. I pray for the pain to leave my arms so I can easily make music, paint (both digitally and traditionally), tattoo, write, and type. I pray to stop getting random illnesses such as the flu and sinus infections back to back and for digestive health. I pray for the depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, seizures, hallucinations, and brain fog to lift. If there’s anyone out there who can spare a prayer, it would mean so much if you could say a few words. I need to postpone full tattoo rescheduling until my arms are fully healed. I will be reaching out to my list of clientiel little bits at a time to fill the limited time I’m physically able to tattoo at the point in time. I’m hoping with enough prayers, a miracle will take place, and my overall well-being as well as my injuries will be fully healed. Thank you my dearest friends. Brightest Blessings to all of you. I have a few random sketches inspired by the dryads from #worldofwarcraft and then all the progress from a #painting I started of Robbie and I. I was inspired by the thought that he’s plays the “devil’s instrument,” and I play the “instrument of angels.” Haha!! I’m leaning towards working this piece up on illustration board and creating a watercolor painting out of it. To prepare, I cleaned up the #linework and created a rough #colorcomposition to help me solidly the direction I would like the #illustration to go.
