Days 11 & 12 yes I missed one...

Day 11.... I'm grateful for a man who loves to surprise me I came home to a dozen red roses, with crab legs and shrimp for supper! It's my favorite meal and it was worth the wait! He had a rough day because I messed up my schedule but that didn't stop him from making my day special! Day 12.... days off.... I'm grateful for days off during the week! I find myself sometimes feeling like I'm always at work when in all reality I work three days per week.... sometimes those night shifts cross into the next day which make you feel like you e been there too many days! Here's to days off and being a nurse with four days off per week!

Day 30 of 365 Guess who's having a party at home tonight?!! One of the yummiest things I have ever had! @thenebulousone introduced me to it and my awesome SIL got me a bottle (sorry, rb... I am not good at this with night shifts!

Day 27: I'm grateful for home cooked meals! Tonight I made supper for my boyfriend and myself! There is nothing better then having a meal together! Day 28: Today is my mother's birthday! I'm grateful to her! She taught me how to be strong and how to keep my head up even when things are tough! She raised me into the woman I am today! I don't know what I'd do without her! Day 29: I'm grateful for breakfast in bed. I had gotten sent home early from work! I was woken up about 1130 this morning to breakfast in bed! Cooked by my handsome man! I have never had anyone do that for me in all my 26 years! It was the sweetest most romantic gesture I've ever seen! I'm lucky to have this man!

Night shift....

Working rotating shifts really screws things up for me sometimes! I failed epically at posting! Day 24: I was grateful for our amazing team work at work. A night shift at an ER when it is blizzarding outside (SD weather) usually means a fairly slow night, however Tuesday this wasn't the case. And most of the patients that came in had nothing to do with the blizzard more so fevers and coughs. But when it is super busy and patients keep coming it helps to work together and get things done! That's exactly what happened! So I am grateful for amazing team work. Day 25: I am grateful for my boyfriend's truck! When there is a lot of snow in the ground my focus doesn't handle the roads the greatest! My boyfriend had dropped me off at work the night before and brought the truck back to work! I was able to drive it home and be safe the entire time without sliding all over. Plus I look real good while driving it 😍! Day 26: I'm grateful for gears of war. Yes I know it is a video game that you play on the Xbox but it is something my man and I love to do together! I've gotten fairly decent at it and the best part is he is patient enough to teach me! It is our nightly bonding time after the little man is asleep and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Day 23

Days off of work! I'm grateful I get days off work where I can be at home and work on the house! Today o got cleaning done and bills paid and still managed to hang out with my boys! I love my days off!

Anniversaries

On this day one year ago my boyfriend convinced me to go on a date with him... if you would have asked me then if we'd still be together today I'll be honest, I probably would have laughed at you! I was the girl that was finding herself and was enjoying being able to do what I wanted when I wanted. Then Sam came along. He showed me what it truly is like to love somebody! I will be honest I didn't know what it felt like, I thought I had but I was wrong! Here is two one year of being with the most amazing man! I'm grateful for this anniversary!

Family time😍

Today was a lazy day! We spent the day at home and in pajamas watched movies and just hung around as a family! It is so nice getting to do that with my boys! Makes me happy! I'm grateful for lazy family days!

Day 20

Good friends... I'm grateful for good friends! My boyfriend and I went to our friends house had some beers and played Xbox! It's always nice to just hang out with friends in a low key atmosphere!

Flexibility

And no I don't mean yoga poses! I mean the ability to adapt and change! Today in the ER we tried something new with outlet staffing module. Some people hated it and complained all day! Me? I didn't really care.... it was a change and that's hard to adjust to but it went fine and worked well for the most part! Here's to being flexible!

Daddy

I'm grateful for my dad and the fact I can call him anytime and just talk about random things! I love being a daddy's girl and I love that we have the same interests and that he loves hearing about my life!

Dreams

I'm grateful for dreams. Since I began on this nursing career path I have dreamt one day of becoming a flight nurse. This dream has given me the drive to push through the tough days and to work hard at achieving this dream! I have also had the dream of raising a big family. I never thought about it though and it's hard to have both. I'm realizing that the three 12 hour shifts aren't always ideal as you miss a lot of the evening family time. My dream of flight nursing has kept my chin up but I'm starting to feel more and more defeated. Just curious if anyone has advice or tips. Do I just have to pick between dreams? I'm grateful for the ones I have and how they give me desire and drive... until those fade I'll keep pushing forward!

Day 16

Today was a good day. I got to work at a job in which I love and then was sent home early due to low census in the ER. I was able to surprise the little man by picking him up and bringing him home! We had a wonderful afternoon all three of us and it makes you appreciate the little things. I'm grateful for free afternoons with the family!
