Day 40 of 365 I last saw him in 2016 when I went to Jiaganj and I took this picture. Who knew that it would be the last time I would see nanu. And who knew that this picture would be needed for his obituary. I bummed my first cigarette as a young teen from him and a cousin and I hid on the terrace and smoked it. I remember him peeling mangoes and talkun, going to the market to get fresh veggies and lotus seeds. It feels sad to lose my last living grandparent but he lived a good long life on his terms, never interfering with anyone elses's. RIP Bhanu Babu. (I usually called him that like all his friends did)

Day 39 of 365 @shivmenon88 totally made my evening with his rendition of Khamaaj at @tabularasa.thebar! That’s the third time this year that I have gone to Tabula Rasa just because of the good music and the beautiful ambience! Total de-stresser! They didn’t do well with their cocktails though - the quantity of alcohol in each drink was different and though I usually can’t make out... I could this time.

Day 38 of 365 The last week has been insanely crazy busy. I had these two cuties stay over and it was so much fun hosting them. Ross’s sister is marrying an Indian and he wanted an Indian outfit so we went and got a dhoti from Ramraj and kurta, stole and juttis from @manyavar_kharghar. They had so much fun trying on these clothes and looked great too

Day 34 of 365 Am so fried that posting a picture or writing feels like too much work. So a half hearted attempt to post something! I am envious of those people who are always so full of life and bursting with energy... But I am not that person and I can't wear a mask :(

Day 35 of 365 Another long day of work ( Yes, I worked on a Sunday evening though it's against my religion to work on the weekend!) But the good part was the work day was lightened by a lovely long drive and this tree with red flowers I saw on the wayside. And because I left late and made these steps I reached the church at exactly 6PM and they had closed 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️!! It was a great day nevertheless which ended with a box of delicious chocolate brownies from @euphoriabakers that @faisaltayabali dropped off for me! Yay! Day 32 of 365 Time's flying! It was just the new year like a second ago and we are already into the first day of the second month... Day 29 of 365 A tragi-comic day where I spent the first half of the day with my hands on my ears and my eyes on my Kindle while they played graphic / gory videos about driving safe and also not drinking and driving as part of a counselling session that a friend had to attend after getting into trouble with the cops!! Day 28 of 365 A nasty migraine had me down but a hungry tummy had to be fed. So I made any old time favourite... Semolina puris with nigella seeds and tomato chutney. They both don't take much time and it's just what I needed. The edges of the puris aren't perfect... My mother can make it so it doesn't crack but these tasted just as good! The puris aren't too crisp and they don't absorb much oil... In fact even less than the regular flour puris and they last at least two days and they stay fluffed up too!
