Football on Film

At the start of the football season I had the opportunity to join Keltin on the sidelines for the Tarleton versus Baylor game. Yes, unfortunately Tarleton did loose this game. That being said, the photos came out pretty awesome. I shot these on our Pentax K1000 using black and white Kodak 3200ISO film, shot at box speed, with a fixed 50mm lens. I love a fixed 50mm lens, yeah I don’t have a zoom…

The quickest of updates since I need to sleep.

I’m official - getting my first ever photo pass for Alesana 🤘🏻 ~*’I curse the day my dream became my descent, suddenly I long for you, my only love’*~ 🥀

Will be renting a lens up to 200 or 300 mm & about f4 (more light, high compression, blurry background aka bokeh)

Bringing my Nikon F80 too. I bought 3200iso film from work so it shouldn’t be black this time! Still haven’t picked up my last roll haha.

Now on Luvox & I feel really hopeful after reading about it 🤞🏻 should help with rumination & compulsion, as well as not f*ck up my sacral energy & help me lose weight.

Therapy went really well today. Different than how it’s been. I told her about the love & hate episodes & how I can’t think or feel logically about him. She gave me a coin to ground myself when I lose myself in Dr Jekyll (devastated by my love for him & wanting to plead) & Mr. Hyde (agonized & angry with insult & hate wanting to confront). She put an emphasis on needing to realize needs changed & were not met & how someone his age goes through self-discovery by serial dating (absolutely disgusting to me but whatever, not my person & will never be my loving partner.)

… talking to a very beautiful multilingual Swedish guy. So far so good. Which scares me… he comes off as this worldly arthaus eclectic guy… he likes Berlin era Bowie so that’s common ground. I’m trying not to romanticize the idea of us speaking French together. I’m still so awful, it’s been 4 years without daily practice.

Another BYOB cookout tomorrow after work tomorrow so I’ll be there from 9am to 11pm haha. Oh, sh*t I didn’t buy more banquet today… photos from last party are really cute, love them. Don’t think I’ll look great tomorrow though

Impulsively chopped 3 inches of hair this morning. Not good.

Work was mental today. Hope it’s not as overwhelming tomorrow. “Do you have a gun, I could use it” slipped when I was frantically organizing for a transfer to my mate. Both managers heard. My boss joked, & the gm I usually slag off & b*tch about looked at me with a deep caring concern & said “no”. I needed that. My mate hugged me & I went to the bathroom to cry for a minute & then got my sh*t together.

First time shooting #3200iso film, and shooting at night too. Was a great challenge as it’s all new to me and was very skeptical that I would even get a usable image shooting as low as 20th - 80th/sec using only available light and tripod. This was taken at the silo district around 9pm.
