It's the 25th of May, meaning today marks the 17th year of when I went from a casual 30STM listener to an official fan. They opened for Linkin Park and they were amazing. And my old crush on Jared was revived a hundred times stronger than ever before.

I have so many great memories of the band. Going to Manchester & Liverpool in 2008 to experience two of the best shows I've ever been to was like, yeah, really fucking good. Biggest regret is that I didn't have the funds to follow them on the whole UK tour, or at least the London show of that year where it probably was one of the very last times they played so many S/T songs.

I've lost count of how many times i've seen them. 8? 9? i know it's 3 in the uk in total because i went back there for them in 09.

They're coming to stockholm soon. i haven't bought any tickets and i'm not gonna. i really don't feel like going all the way there to see them, because last time i did, the show was so fucking bad it makes me wanna cry thinking about it. there's no way this was the same band. and the new fans are so off-putting, there's no community like it was with the old Echelon. now it's just "i've met them x times more than you" or worse, "i've been on stage x more times than you". and those fans are more important to pander to than the ones who were there from the s/t and abl eras.

anyway. Thanks for all the good times, i will love and treasure S/T and ABL and the old shows forever. 💙💙💙💙
