A couple are missing here cause every time I call there’s some sort of shenanigans or chaos going on at the ranch. And with 6 of these little monsters they’re never in one place for too long. Day 12: I have so many issues with the beauty industry, but today I'm thankful for sparkly makeup. Yes, I love it, but why do I love it? Was I told I had to? Why do I feel obligated to wear some makeup, but not "too much makeup," and why does performing my gender require so much more time and products than performing masculinity does? I have questions and concerns and heaps of cognitive dissonance, but...I love sparkly makeup. It makes me feel lovely, and I appreciate that feeling, even if it is entangled in other, less pleasant feelings.
