NGC7380/SH2-142 aka "The Wizard Nebula". An active Star forming region with an open Starcluster. Its around 7200 light-years away from us in the constellation Cepheus and has a total radius of around 100 light-years.

Reworked Version, new picture post processing workflow! Hope you enjoy 😁👍🔭

That object is hard to get and it took us 6.5 Hrs total integration time. (300sec single frames plus darks, flats and bias frames).

We made that picture with an 8"F5 Newton telescope and an astromodified DSLR camera.

オリオン座 M42 & M78星雲

月明かりが強くなってきたので、通常撮影はあきらめ、光害カットフィルターを使っていくつかテストをしています。

一つ目は、初分子雲です。

The molecular cloud is a collective term for debris or gas floating in outer space between stars. I took a picture of the great Orion nebula Messie42 and molecular clouds surrounding M42. The molecular clouds are faintly visible. Messie42, the great Orion nebula is realy beautiful. It looks like ＨＡＧＯＲＯＭＯ、a costume worn by a heavenly woman in Japanese folk tales.

オリオン座M42大星雲周囲の分子雲を狙いました。淡いですが、M42の周囲を分子雲が取り巻いていました。

分子雲は、星と星の間の宇宙空間に漂う星間ガスの総称です。ここからあらたに星が誕生すると言われ、星のゆりかごみたいなものでしょうか。

分子雲を撮影するには、光害のない暗い空でないと難しいと思っていて、これまで手を出したことはありませんでしたが、雑誌などで比較的空が明るいところでもきちんと撮影すれば撮れると書いてあって、今回初挑戦してみました。

画像処理の段階でかなり暗い部分を強調するので、フラット補整の勉強もし直しました。最終の画像処理で、Color Efex Pro4の30日無料体験版も使ってみました。難しい画像処理ソフトですが、使いこなせるようになりたいです。

もう一つのテストは、まだ十分に使えていない冷却CMOSカメラ。これから撮る予定の系外銀河の準備です。

I took Messier78, refractory nevil of Orion. M78 is the hometown of Ultraman, the hero of Japanease special effects movie and TV.

真ん中の青い星雲がM78。左上の赤い部分は三ツ星を取り巻くバーナードループの一部。右下は三ツ星の一番左の星からの光条です。ダーク・フラット補整ができていないこと、最終処理でこれもColor Efex Proを使ったのでノイズがひどいのですが、冷却CMOSは何とか使えそうです。

M78星雲、ウルトラマンの生まれ故��。始めて撮影できました。

ウルトラマンシリーズの中では、M78は銀河系から300万光年離れた星雲と言われたそうですが、本物のM78は地球から1600光年離れていて、もっと近くにあります。

星雲だと、いくらウルトラマンでも住めないですよね。
