I won a round of yarn chicken! Technically the pattern wanted me to get another repeat out, but the length is to what I want it to be and I'm out of this color, so.

Regarding this session, there is nothing to write about. I had an after holiday belly related energy imbalance to deal with. So, all the life energy that was gathering due to meditation was heading towards resolving the imbalance in the belly region. Not an ounce of energy reached the head or even close to the head.

It was a shallow meditation. The level of shallow was from the time I began meditating back in 1999. The big difference is the constant presence of peace. Through all my moments including bloated belly nightly dreams, peace is non negotiable since the end of year 2022. That’s when the stream of life energy rising up the spine had breached the head and has been rearranging the contents of my head ever since.

Thank God. Thank my Blesser.

BLESSED WITH SOUL SWEETNESS

Last night’s meditation ended with strong spinal vibrations and not much depth of mind. I had better depth of mind meditating on 25 June 2024 in Los Angeles.

The only reason LA was considered as one of the cities for our month long US trip was because I insisted on visiting the Self Realisation Fellowship International Headquarters situated at 3880 San Rafael Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90065, United States.

The writing in the SRF website yogananda.org describes the international headquarters best and as follows:

“Paramahansa Yogananda established the international headquarters, the Mother Center, of Self-Realization Fellowship in 1925. It is located on the crest of Mt. Washington, five miles from downtown Los Angeles. Here he lived and worked for more than twenty years, and from this center his lectures, writings, and recorded talks are published and made available worldwide.”

Prior to taking His first trip to the US, Paramahansa Yogananda had already established a ‘how-to-live’ boy’s school in Ranchi in 1917. Meditating in the chapel at the US headquarters left me with an experience I hadn’t anticipated. I have never before had a meditation that I have left with the feeling of soul sweetness.

I remained with that sense of sweetness through the rest of the day and was able to recall the feeling in the day after. It was a sweetness bubbling from the soul. I wasn’t feeling it when my thoughts were outward. I also attempted thinking about while I felt that sweetness. The thoughts would go to one very specific aspect of all my meditations since ~1999.

He is elsewhere. Paramahansa Yogananda is elsewhere even while I begin my meditations with a prayer directed to Him. Even if He is a just a portal away, I am nowhere near such a portal. So I should simply carry on meditating even if it is sans devotion towards Him and the others I hope to connect with, through my meditations. And I am aiming high consistently. I hope to make a realtime connection with saintly folk who have passed like the Christ and Krishna, through my prayers.

Over the decades, I have been blessed with meditational milestones. I know that I have been blessed for my efforts to meditate. I have made no real effort to know my Blesser. To have experienced sweetness while meditating in the chapel at Mt Washington changes my understanding of my Blesser.
