Why Do The Catholic And Christian Parishioners Look The Other Way When T... All Praises to the Highest!! Haya Haya!! I am that I am!! Selah!! and May Peace be with you Family!! 2 Ne 2:2 "...he shall consecrate thine afflictions for thy gain". Most members of the church are all too familiar with this principle. It seems if there is one concept that is well appreciated it is this one-that the trials and tribulations of mortality serve God's purpose because they become the refining fire which purifies the soul and gives us experience. Some of the better quotes on this subject are included, Therefore, he giveth this promise unto you, with an immutable covenant that they shall be fulfilled; and all things wherewith you have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name's glory, saith the Lord." (DC 98:3)."If thou art called to pass through tribulation...if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good." (DC 122:5-7)My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes. (DC 121:7-8) (DC 98:3).2 Nephi 8:25 "Shake thyself from the dust; arise, sit down, O Jerusalem (Y'arashelum); loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion (Sion). 2 Nephi 6:11 "Wherefore, after they are driven to and fro, for thus saith the angel, many shall be afflicted in the flesh, and shall not be suffered to perish, because of the prayers of the faithful; they shall be scattered, and smitten, and hated; nevertheless, the lord (Ishii Eloha) will be merciful unto them, that when they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer, they shall be gathered together again to the lands of their inheritance." 1 Nephi 13:9 "And also for the praise of the world do they destroy the saints of God, (The Highest), and bring them down into captivity." Mormon 8:38, "O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God (Anokeseed)? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ (Yahawashi)? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of the endless happiness than the misery which never dies-because of the praise of the world?" Wisdom OF Solomon 2: 22-24 "They didn’t know of God’s secret plan. They didn’t hope for the reward that holiness brings. They didn’t consider the prize they would win if they kept their whole beings free from stain. 23God created humans to live forever. He made them as a perfect representation of his own unique identity. 24Death entered the universe only through the devil’s envy. Those who belong to the devil’s party experience death.""I saw among the nations of the Gentiles the formation of a great church. And the angel said unto me, “Behold the formation of a church which is most abominable above all other churches, which slayed the saints of God, yea, and tortured them and bindeth them down, and yoked them with a yoke of iron, and bringeth them down into captivity.” What is the Great and Abominable Church? www.whatdomormonsbelieve.com/18/03/2012/what-is-the-great-and-abominable-church/ www.whatdomormonsbelieve.com/18/03/20…Jeremiah 16:12 "And ye have done worse than your fathers Not only committed the same sins, but greater, or, however, attended with more aggravating circumstances; they were wilfully and impudently done, and obstinately persisted in; and therefore deserving of the great evil of punishment pronounced against them." The Perfect Series Resumes. Part 11.2: Purgation.
Illumination tells us why we want to be involved with life, it explains how and when to open and also to harden our hearts.
Purgation tells us what to leave behind when we finally make our moves. Both are products of the Suggestive Powers of the Holy Spirit.
From the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi Chapter 33.
Nephi’s words are true—They testify of Christ—Those who believe in Christ will believe Nephi’s words, which will stand as a witness before the judgment bar. About 559–545 B.C.
1 And now I, Nephi, cannot write all the things which were taught among my people; neither am I amighty in writing, like unto speaking; for when a man bspeaketh by the power of the Holy Ghost the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts of the children of men.
2 But behold, there are many that aharden their bhearts against the cHoly Spirit, that it hath no place in them; wherefore, they cast many things away which are written and esteem them as things of naught.
3 But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great aworth, and especially unto my people. For I bpray continually for them by day, and mine ceyes water my pillow by night, because of them; and I cry unto my God in faith, and I know that he will hear my cry.
4 And I know that the Lord God will consecrate my prayers for the gain of my people. And the words which I have written in weakness will be made strong unto them; for it apersuadeth them to do good; it maketh known unto them of their fathers; and it speaketh of Jesus, and persuadeth them to believe in him, and to endure to the end, which is life beternal.
5 And it speaketh aharshly against sin, according to the bplainness of the truth; wherefore, no man will be angry at the words which I have written save he shall be of the spirit of the devil.
6 I aglory in bplainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath credeemed my soul from hell.
7 I have acharity for my people, and great faith in Christ that I shall meet many souls spotless at his judgment-seat.
8 I have charity for the aJew—I say Jew, because I mean them from whence I came.
9 I also have charity for the Gentiles. But behold, for none of athese can I hope except they shall be breconciled unto Christ, and enter into the cnarrow dgate, and ewalk in the fstrait path which leads to life, and continue in the path until the end of the day of gprobation.
10 And now, my beloved brethren, and also aJew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and bbelieve in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall cbelieve in Christ ye will believe in these dwords, for they are the ewords of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they fteach all men that they should do good.
11 And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with apower and great bglory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness.
12 And I pray the Father in the name of Christ that many of us, if not all, may be saved in his akingdom at that great and last day.
13 And now, my beloved brethren, all those who are of the house of Israel, and all ye ends of the earth, I speak unto you as the voice of one acrying from the dust: Farewell until that great day shall come.
14 And you that will not partake of the goodness of God, and respect the words of the aJews, and also my bwords, and the words which shall proceed forth out of the mouth of the Lamb of God, behold, I bid you an everlasting farewell, for these words shall ccondemn you at the last day.
15 For what I seal on earth, shall be brought against you at the ajudgment bar; for thus hath the Lord commanded me, and I must bobey. Amen.

Not to be Mormon on main, but I'm gonna be Mormon on main for a lil here...
This may be radical of me, but neither I nor the Book of Mormon believe that anyone is truly alive until the point of birth. In 3rd Nephi, Christ speaks to Nephi, saying that "on the morrow come I into the world"(3 Nephi 1:13). Christ's spirit was not inhabiting the cells in Mary's body until it was time for Him to come to earth.
If that's not the case, then let's look at Moroni 8:8,12 "little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin...little children are alive in Christ...if not so, God is a partial God, and also a changeable God, and a respecter to persons". Cross-reference that with Doctrine and Covenants 137:10 "all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven". Should the soul enter the body while still in the womb, and then that mother undergo an abortion, the soul would immediately be in the Celestial Kingdom. You'd be doing our Heavenly Parents a favor because that would be one less soul that They would need to worry about choosing to not repent had they lived a full life on earth.
Theologically speaking, it is unfounded for any Latter-day Saint to be pleased about the overturn of Roe v Wade. We should be mourning the loss of agency and the furtherance of Satan's plan.
Personally, I believe if my mother had gotten an abortion/miscarried/had an ectopic pregnancy during 1993-1994, my Heavenly Parents and I would have waited until her body was actually going to be prepared to bring me to earth, or otherwise I would have been part of another family. Anything else is claiming short-sightedness onto our Heavenly Parents, and I refuse to limit God's power.

I just found out a girl i follow is "lds" what is that? There is a latter day saint church in my town but are they mormans? Why do people have to be apart of a denomination? it just seems confusing and divisive, isn't there only one bible?
LDS = Latter Day Saints = Mormons.
Mormonism is a cult. Yes, there is only one Bible - the inspired word of God. This is also why Roman Catholicism is so wrong - we are not to add human teaching/"revelation" to Scripture. LDS breakdown:
The following from this link: The Mormon religion (Mormonism), whose followers are known as Mormons and Latter-day Saints (LDS), was founded less than two hundred years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ (Articles of Faith, p. 35) who told him that all churches and their creeds were an abomination (1 Nephi 13:28; Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith – History 1:18, 19). Joseph Smith then set out to "restore true Christianity" and claimed his church to be the “only true church on earth” (Mormon Doctrine, p. 670; 1 Nephi 14:10). The problem with Mormonism is that it contradicts, modifies, and expands on the Bible. Christians do not have a reason to believe that the Bible is untrue or inadequate. To truly believe in and trust God means to believe in His Word, and all Scripture is inspired by God, which means it comes from Him (2 Timothy 3:16).
Mormons believe that there are in fact four sources of divinely inspired words, not just one: 1) the Bible “as far as it is translated correctly” (8th Article of Faith). Which verses are considered incorrectly translated is not always made clear. 2) The Book of Mormon, which was “translated” by Smith and published in 1830. Smith claimed it is the “most correct book” on earth and that a person can get closer to God by following its precepts “than by any other book” (History of the Church 4:461). 3) Doctrine and Covenants, containing a collection of modern revelations regarding the “Church of Jesus Christ as it has been restored.” 4) The Pearl of Great Price, which is considered by Mormons to “clarify” doctrines and teachings that were lost from the Bible (Articles of Faith, p. 182–185) and adds its own information about the earth’s creation.
Mormons believe the following about God: He has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321) but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345). They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s” (Doctrine and Covenants 130:22). Brigham Young taught that Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ—although this teaching has been abandoned by modern Mormon leaders.
In contrast, Christians know this about God: there is only one true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; 44:6–8). He always has existed and always will exist (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2; 1 Timothy 1:17). He was not created but is the Creator (Genesis 1; Psalm 24:1; Isaiah 37:16). He is perfect, and no one else is equal to Him (Psalm 86:8; Isaiah 40:25). God the Father is not a man, nor was He ever (Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Hosea 11:9). He is Spirit (John 4:24), and Spirit is not made of flesh and bone (Luke 24:39).
Mormons believe that there are different levels or kingdoms in the afterlife: the celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, the telestial kingdom, and outer darkness (Mormon Doctrine, p. 348). Where mankind will end up depends on what they believe and do in this life (2 Nephi 25:23; Articles of Faith, p.79).
In contrast, the Bible tells us that after death we go to heaven or hell based on whether or not we had faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. To be absent from our bodies means, as believers, we are with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6–8). Unbelievers are sent to hell or the place of the dead (Luke 16:22–23). When Jesus comes the second time, we will receive resurrected, glorified bodies (1 Corinthians 15:50–54). There will be a new heaven and new earth for believers (Revelation 21:1), and unbelievers will be thrown into an everlasting lake of fire (Revelation 20:11–15). There is no second chance for redemption after death (Hebrews 9:27).
Mormon leaders have taught that Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary (Journal of Discourses, vol. 8, p. 115; Mormon Doctrine, p. 547). Mormons believe Jesus is a god, but that any human can also become a god (Doctrine and Covenants 132:20; Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345–354). Mormonism teaches that salvation can be earned by a combination of faith and good works (LDS Bible Dictionary, p. 697).
Contrary to this, Christians historically have taught that no one can achieve the status of God—only He is holy (1 Samuel 2:2). We can only be made holy in God’s sight through faith in Him (1 Corinthians 1:2). Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16), is the only one ever to have lived a sinless life, and now has the highest place of honor in heaven (Hebrews 7:26). Jesus and God are one in essence, Jesus being the only man who existed before physical birth (John 1:1–8; 8:56). Jesus gave Himself to us as a sacrifice, God raised Him from the dead, and one day everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:6–11). Jesus tells us it is impossible to get to heaven by our own works and that only by faith in Him is it possible (Matthew 19:26). We all deserve eternal punishment for our sins, but God’s infinite love and grace have allowed us a way out. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Clearly, there is only one way to receive salvation and that is to know God and His Son, Jesus (John 17:3). Receiving salvation is not done by works but by faith (Romans 1:17; 3:28). We can receive this gift no matter who we are or what we have done (Romans 3:22). “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Although Mormons are usually friendly, loving, and kind people, they are deceived by a false religion that distorts the nature of God, the Person of Jesus Christ, and the means of salvation.
(Editor’s note: many of the references in our articles on Mormonism are Mormon publications, such as Mormon Doctrine, Articles of Faith, Doctrines of Salvation, History of the Church, Doctrine and Covenants, and so forth. Others are from the Book of Mormon itself, e.g., books such as 1 Nephi, 2 Nephi, and Alma.)

The Fear of God
Different from but related to the fears we often experience is what the scriptures describe as “godly fear” (Hebrews 12:28) or “the fear of the Lord” (Job 28:28; Proverbs 16:6; Isaiah 11:2–3). Unlike worldly fear that creates alarm and anxiety, godly fear is a source of peace, assurance, and confidence.
But how can anything associated with fear be edifying or spiritually helpful?
The righteous fear I am attempting to describe encompasses a deep feeling of reverence, respect, and awe for the Lord Jesus Christ (see Psalm 33:8; 96:4), obedience to His commandments (see Deuteronomy 5:29; 8:6; 10:12; 13:4; Psalm 112:1), and anticipation of the Final Judgment and justice at His hand. Thus, godly fear grows out of a correct understanding of the divine nature and mission of the Lord Jesus Christ, a willingness to submit our will to His will, and a knowledge that every man and woman will be accountable for his or her own sins in the Day of Judgment (see D&C 101:78; Articles of Faith 1:2).
As the scriptures certify, godly fear “is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7), “the instruction of wisdom” (Proverbs 15:33), a “strong confidence” (Proverbs 14:26), and “a fountain of life” (Proverbs 14:27).
Please note that godly fear is linked inextricably to an understanding of the Final Judgment and our individual accountability for our desires, thoughts, words, and acts (see Mosiah 4:30). The fear of the Lord is not a reluctant apprehension about coming into His presence to be judged. I do not believe we will be afraid of Him at all. Rather, it is the prospect in His presence of facing things as they really are about ourselves and having “a perfect knowledge” (2 Nephi 9:14; see also Alma 11:43) of all our rationalizations, pretenses, and self-deceptions. Ultimately, we will be left without excuse.
Every person who has lived or will yet live upon the earth “shall be brought to stand before the bar of God, to be judged of him according to [his or her] works whether they be good or whether they be evil” (Mosiah 16:10). If our desires have been for righteousness and our works good, then the judgment bar will be pleasing (see Jacob 6:13; Enos 1:27; Moroni 10:34). And at the last day we will “be rewarded unto righteousness” (Alma 41:6).
Conversely, if our desires have been for evil and our works wicked, then the judgment bar will be a cause of dread. “We shall not dare to look up to our God; and we would fain be glad if we could command the rocks and the mountains to fall upon us to hide us from his presence” (Alma 12:14). And at the last day we will “have [our] reward of evil” (Alma 41:5).
As summarized in Ecclesiastes:
“Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13–14).
My beloved brothers and sisters, godly fear dispels mortal fears. It even subdues the haunting concern that we never can be good enough spiritually and never will measure up to the Lord’s requirements and expectations. In truth, we cannot be good enough or measure up relying solely upon our own capacity and performance. Our works and desires alone do not and cannot save us. “After all we can do” (2 Nephi 25:23), we are made whole only through the mercy and grace available through the Savior’s infinite and eternal atoning sacrifice (see Alma 34:10, 14). Certainly, “we believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel” (Articles of Faith 1:3).
Godly fear is loving and trusting in Him. As we fear God more completely, we love Him more perfectly. And “perfect love casteth out all fear” (Moroni 8:16). I promise the bright light of godly fear will chase away the dark shadows of mortal fears (see D&C 50:25) as we look to the Savior, build upon Him as our foundation, and press forward on His covenant path with consecrated commitment.

I almost missed this, thank you so much to @gaeadene for tagging me!
I tag @believerindaydreams and @suppuration
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Well, currently I only have three. Once upon a time I had ten, but most of those were because Learnin’ the Blues was broken up into multiple parts. Actual total now is 12
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
Currently the total for all the fics I ever posted (before purge and after) is 311,595, but as soon as I finished posting the current book it’ll be 365,124!
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
This is almost like cheating since most of these are from the same story
1. No Light (122)
2. Which Way Are You Going (86)
3. Talking In Your Sleep (83)
4. Arizona and How Did You Love (61)
5. Twisted (54)
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! Sometimes I get busy and honestly just overwhelmed, because a comment will be so touching that I don’t know what to say. I can only send so many pictures of people weeping into their hands with love and gratitude!
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
No Light, hands down. Everyone loses!
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
as I pause to debate whether any of my fics can actually be considered to have a happy ending Jokes aside, I do think it’s Learnin’ the Blues. It’s a dark ending, but everyone got what they earned, and in the end, mercy and forgiveness won out over hate.
7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Nah, my hyperfixations tend to be monogamous
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
ha ha ha ha haaaah ahahahaahaha
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes and it’s the bad kind
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Many, many times!
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope!
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nah, I work alone, too invested in my own vision and seeing it through exactly the way I want it. I prefer to do art for collaborations
13. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
The Ever Given
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I don’t really have one. I think about the No Light sequel a lot because I love the ideas for it, like Joshua ghoulifying and the lives of Nephi and Jerusha, but I know I’m never going to have it in me to sit and write it because it would most likely be a 500k word doorstop of a novel.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I’ve been told that my writing is concise and evocative, that it tends to make people feel like they’re really living it, which is tremendously huge praise <3
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
According to my beta, it’s overuse of the phrase “once more” and too many loving descriptions of Joshua Graham’s pale blue eyes
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Fantastic if it’s done well and not some weird parody/mockery of whatever language is being used.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Fallout!
19. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
You can’t ask me to choose between my children! My three books mean more to me than just about anything, because they cover so many different challenges and struggles I’ve had in my life, as well as finally achieving my dream of writing. But, if I had to choose one that isn’t those three, it would be Twisted. For a one shot, that hit harder and more emotional than I thought it would, and looking back on it with the perspective from coming out as a trans man, that fic just SCREAMS closeted transsexual, so it too has a lot of significance to me. It was also pretty hot 😌

For the first time since the record began, it is not handed to a successor to be the custodian of it but is hidden to come forth at a later time. The reason for this becomes apparent as one examines the details of Mormon’s life. When Mormon emerges from his role as editor to tell about himself, one finds that, in many ways, his life parallels that of Joseph Smith.
Mormon was named after his father (Morm. 1:5), and when Mormon was about ten years old, Ammaron came to him and told him where the plates were located, giving him instructions about them. “I perceive that thou art a sober child, and art quick to observe,” Ammaron says to Mormon. “Therefore, when ye are about twenty and four years old I would that ye should … go to the land Antum, unto a hill which shall be called Shim; and there have I deposited unto the Lord all the sacred engravings concerning this people. And behold, ye shall take the plates of Nephi unto yourself, and the remainder shall ye leave in the place where they are; and ye shall engrave on the plates of Nephi all the things that ye have observed concerning this people” (vv. 2-4).7 While Smith was a different age than Mormon when he retrieved the record (Mormon was “about” twenty-four, Smith twenty-one), the similarity in storyline is apparent.
Meanwhile, “I, being eleven years old,” Mormon reports, “was carried by my father into the land southward, even to the land of Zarahemla” (1:6). Although Smith’s father was not the one who conveyed him southward, Joseph Jr. was ten or eleven when his family moved south from Norwich, Vermont, to Palmyra, New York. Considering the pain Joseph Jr. suffered during the trip due to being forced to walk on an injured leg, he may have wished that his father had been there to help carry him.
Mormon arrives in the south in time to witness a war between the Nephites and Lamanites “in the borders of Zarahemla, by the waters of Sidon” (1:8-10). In this war involving more than 30,000 Nephite soldiers, the Lamanites are defeated (v. 11). Perhaps Smith had in mind the war with the Seminoles, 1817-18, and their defeat by Jackson’s army. Following the Lamanites’ defeat, the Nephites enjoy four years of peace (v. 12).
Like Smith, Mormon lives in an era of apostasy: “And there were no gifts from the Lord, and the Holy Ghost did not come upon any, because of their wickedness and unbelief” (1:14). The prevalence of apostasy and disbelief is such that “the Lord did take away his beloved disciples, and the work of miracles did cease because of the iniquity of the people” (v. 13). Even so, Mormon has previously informed readers that he is a “disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” (3 Ne. 5:13). Like the apostle Paul, Mormon has become a disciple charismatically: “I, being fifteen years of age and being somewhat of a sober mind, therefore I was visited of the Lord, and tasted and knew of the goodness of Jesus” (1:15). In his 1832 history, Smith said his first vision occurred in 1821 when he was fifteen.8 If based on Smith’s visionary experience, Mormon’s description may be assumed to contain the core of the experience that Smith later expanded and made more concrete.
Like Smith, Mormon lives at a time of “secret combinations” and slippery treasures: “These Gadianton robbers, who were among the Lamanites, did infest the land, insomuch that the inhabitants thereof began to hide up their treasures in the earth; and they became slippery, because the Lord had cursed the land, that they could not hold them, nor retain them again” (1:18). Mormon may well be describing Smith’s day when he writes, “And it came to pass that there were sorceries, and witchcrafts, and magics; and the power of the evil one was wrought upon all the face of the land, even unto the fulfilling of all the words of Abinadi, and also Samuel the Lamanite” (v. 19).9
At the tender age of sixteen, Mormon, who is “large in stature,” is appointed general of all the Nephite armies (2:1-2). Smith was large for his age but of course had no military experience at age sixteen. The reason Mormon is so prematurely commissioned is probably the need to get him back into the northern land where the plates are hidden, the pretext being a flight from the Lamanites in a final struggle. Despite the difference in timing, Mormon’s military career probably reflects the author’s own aspiration to become an apostle-general to lead Indian-gentile forces against America and establish the government of the New Jerusalem.
i think i may be having some sort of stroke
#BROOOOOOOOO WHAT IN THE GODDAMN HELL#this is what ive been preaching and saying the entire damn book of mormon feels like some sort of adolescent male self insert power fantasy#also because that last line hits like a truck i think the relationship of early mormonism/joseph smith to the us government is a complicated#one because he's partially like omg freedom! god bless america! bald eagle! and partially 'fuck the government i wanna install a breakaway#theocracy. it's um. inch resting#mormonposting tag

Biblical Women Named in the Book of Mormon
Eve gets mentioned twice. First she’s mentioned along with Adam (see 1 Ne. 5:10–11). Second in a passage about the forbidden fruit, being kicked out of Eden, which ends with the moral “Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy” (see 2 Ne. 2:18–25).
Mary is named twice as the mother of Christ (Mosiah 3:8; Alma 7:10.) Plus twice she is talked about but not by name (1 Ne. 11:14–21, Alma 19:13.)
Sarah, wife of Abraham, is mentioned once (2 Ne. 8:2.)
Non-Biblical Women Named in the Book of Mormon
Sariah is the first, she’s the wife of Lehi and mother of Nephi. It seems that Lehi wouldn’t be successful without her and that she had a job of trying to temper him (1 Ne. 5:1–9)
Isabel, who you mentioned, is the first Lamanite woman to be discussed in the Book of Mormon. She’s described as a harlot (Alma 39:3–4, 11).
And finally, Abish, who is a servant to a Lamanite queen and has a role in helping Ammon convert a large group of Lamanites. (by the way, the Faithful Feminist podcast joined the Beyond the Block podcast this past week for episode 60 titled Transgressive Heroes and they discuss Abish at the 37 minute mark and it’s really good)
Individual Women in the Book of Mormon without Name
The unnamed wife of Nephi, she is distraught and tries to save her husband’s life (1 Ne. 18:19) and she may have been the daughter of Ishmael who earlier had pleaded for Nephi’s life (1 Ne. 7:19 )
A maidservant of Morianton who was beat by him. She escaped and ran to Moroni’s camp with information that helped Moroni defeat Morianton’s plans (Alma 50:31–36)
Three different Lamanite queens get a spot. The first being the queen to King Lamoni and Abish was her servant (Alma 19:1–11; Alma 19:28–30)
The second queen is wife to Lamoni’s father (Alma 22:19–23)
The third is a widowed Lamanite queen whose husband was killed because Amalickiah, a Nephite, ordered him killed. Amalickiah tries to get her to marry him as a way to lend credibility to him as the new Lamanite king (See Alma 47:32–35). She was widowed again when the Teancum killed the sleeping Amalickiah. (Alma 51:34)
The only Jaredite woman identified is a daughter of Jared. To help her dad get to be king, she agrees to marry Akish if he kills her grandfather (Ether 8:8–12.) She was quite influential in that she got her father & her husband both to create secret combinations (Ether 8:16–18). Akish later has her father murdered and imprisons their son (Ether 9:4–7)
Groups of Women in the Book of Mormon
Nephi had sisters (2 Ne. 5:6)
The daughters of Ishmael
The 24 Lamanite young women kidnapped by the priests of King Noah, and who later married them (Mosiah 20:1–5; Mosiah 23:33–34)
The Ammonite mothers of Helaman’s 2,000 young warriors (Alma 56:47–48)
Women as part of the General Population
Beyond these specific groups, there are times when women are mentioned as part of a larger group of people. For example, 5,400 men, their wives and children migrated north from Zarahemla or Hagoth’s boats included women and children on board.

3 Nephi Chapter 23. "Many Saints."
Jesus approves the words of Isaiah—He commands the people to search the prophets—The words of Samuel the Lamanite concerning the Resurrection are added to their records. About A.D. 34.
Samuel the Lamanite appears again. His means "Who has heard of God but has no expertise with understanding Him."
La=no
Aman=expertise
Ite=with her
Jesus explains the scripture from Isaiah 54 with a question: Why is the world troubled? Because people were not teaching about it to the world, that's why:
1 And now, behold, I say unto you, that ye ought to search these things. Yea, a commandment I give unto you that ye search these things diligently; for great are the words of Isaiah.
2 For surely he spake as touching all things concerning my people which are of the house of Israel; therefore it must needs be that he must speak also to the Gentiles.
3 And all things that he spake have been and shall be, even according to the words which he spake.
4 Therefore give heed to my words; write the things which I have told you; and according to the time and the will of the Father they shall go forth unto the Gentiles.
5 And whosoever will hearken unto my words and repenteth and is baptized, the same shall be saved. Search the prophets, for many there be that testify of these things.
6 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had said these words he said unto them again, after he had expounded all the scriptures unto them which they had received, he said unto them: Behold, other scriptures I would that ye should write, that ye have not.
7 And it came to pass that he said unto Nephi: Bring forth the record which ye have kept.
8 And when Nephi had brought forth the records, and laid them before him, he cast his eyes upon them and said:
9 Verily I say unto you, I commanded my servant Samuel, the Lamanite, that he should testify unto this people, that at the day that the Father should glorify his name in me that there were many saints who should arise from the dead, and should appear unto many, and should minister unto them. And he said unto them: Was it not so?
10 And his disciples answered him and said: Yea, Lord, Samuel did prophesy according to thy words, and they were all fulfilled.
11 And Jesus said unto them: How be it that ye have not written this thing, that many saints did arise and appear unto many and did minister unto them?
12 And it came to pass that Nephi remembered that this thing had not been written.
13 And it came to pass that Jesus commanded that it should be written; therefore it was written according as he commanded.
14 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had expounded all the scriptures in one, which they had written, he commanded them that they should teach the things which he had expounded unto them.
In verse 9 Jesus wants to know what happened to His Teachings from the Book of Isaiah. The dIsciples all said they had done this, but not one saint had appeared in their midst. The Disciples reply the teachings were not written down and therefore the record was not being properly kept.
So Jesus teaches about them again, which explains why the God of Israel in the flesh appeared-then appeared again- to re-establish His Faith.
The second time, AKA this Book of Mormon saved the lives of millions upon millions of Africans from slavery in America. Perhaps by reading it today, we can save the entire world from the Republicans and their allies, who show not a care about what is happening in this world nor do they demonstate the acumen necessary to do all that much about it.
How can it be that we did not mininster unto the people?
The Values in Gematria for the last four verses explain:
v. 11: the Value in Gematria is 9147, טאדז , tadez, "you will know the Seventh."
v. 12: the Value in Gematria is 3230, גבג אֶפֶס "zero cieling."
v. 13: the Value in Gematria is 7017, זאֶפֶסאז, Zephysz. "the cluster of words that cause the fire to light."
This noun is a loan-word from Persian (probably yashupu which also became ιασπις in Greek, iaspis in Latin and thus jasper in English), but in Hebrew the spelling is the same as an active form of the verbs שפה (a form which would mean "it glows conspicuously").
v. 14: the Value in Gematria is 12161, יבאוא, "will come."
As I have said, Jesus came to reclaim the world back from the hands of losers and slavers and reinstate Shabbat just as the Torah and the Gospels state are mandatory if one wants to enter into the Company of Heaven. First one must do it here on earth.
It is not healthy for our humanity to have discussions that pertain to anything else- i.e. why we should be allowed to use guns, discriminate against anyone for any reason, or wage war without end without repurcussions, or abuse the surface, oceans, and atmosphere of this world. But that conversation- needed between the White House and the rest of the world as to why certain entities and organizations have been permitted to push life on earth to the brink instead of ushering it to a state of Shabbat has to take place.

Alma 30. From the Book of Mormon.
In Alma 29 we learn the nation needs to be led by a man who understands how to channel the efforts of persons who speak different languages, observe different religions, have unique body shapes and levels of development towards fulfillment of their common basic needs.
Upon successful conclusion of his efforts, he gives the Glory to God not before; otherwise, prayer and sacrament are idle chatter. Nothing but levity.
Chapter 30 continues to explains societies duties in this regard. Brace yourself for the twisty turney, delectable and delicious story of Korihor, Hebrew for kor, "caller" and "hor" "the highest" = "Caller to the Heights".
CHAPTER 30
Korihor, the anti-Christ, ridicules Christ, the Atonement, and the spirit of prophecy—He teaches that there is no God, no fall of man, no penalty for sin, and no Christ—Alma testifies that Christ will come and that all things denote there is a God—Korihor demands a sign and is struck dumb—The devil had appeared to Korihor as an angel and taught him what to say—Korihor is trodden down and dies. About 76–74 B.C.
1 Behold, now it came to pass that after the apeople of Ammon were established in the land of Jershon, yea, and also after the Lamanites were bdriven out of the land, and their dead were buried by the people of the land—
2 Now their dead were not numbered because of the greatness of their numbers; neither were the dead of the Nephites numbered—but it came to pass after they had buried their dead, and also after the days of afasting, and bmourning, and prayer, (and it was in the sixteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi) there began to be continual peace throughout all the land.
3 Yea, and the people did observe to keep the commandments of the Lord; and they were strict in observing the aordinances of God, according to the law of Moses; for they were taught to bkeep the law of Moses until it should be fulfilled.
4 And thus the people did have no disturbance in all the sixteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi.
5 And it came to pass that in the commencement of the seventeenth year of the reign of the judges, there was continual peace.
6 But it came to pass in the latter end of the seventeenth year, there came a man into the land of Zarahemla, and he was aAnti-Christ, for he began to preach unto the people bagainst the prophecies which had been spoken by the prophets, concerning the coming of Christ.
7 Now there was no law against a aman’s bbelief; for it was strictly contrary to the commands of God that there should be a law which should bring men on to unequal grounds.
8 For thus saith the scripture: aChoose ye this day, whom ye will serve.
9 Now if a man desired to serve God, it was his privilege; or rather, if he believed in God it was his privilege to serve him; but if he did not believe in him there was no law to punish him.
10 But if he amurdered he was punished unto bdeath; and if he crobbed he was also punished; and if he stole he was also punished; and if he committed dadultery he was also punished; yea, for all this wickedness they were punished.
11 For there was a law that men should be judged according to their crimes. Nevertheless, there was no law against a man’s belief; therefore, a man was punished only for the crimes which he had done; therefore all men were on aequal grounds.
12 And this aAnti-Christ, whose name was Korihor, (and the law could have no hold upon him) began to preach unto the people that there should be bno Christ. And after this manner did he preach, saying:
13 O ye that are bound down under a afoolish and a vain hope, why do ye yoke yourselves with such foolish things? Why do ye look for a Christ? For no man can bknow of anything which is to come.
14 Behold, these things which ye call prophecies, which ye say are handed down by holy prophets, behold, they are foolish traditions of your fathers.
15 How do ye know of their surety? Behold, ye cannot know of things which ye do not asee; therefore ye cannot know that there shall be a Christ.
16 Ye look forward and say that ye see a remission of your sins. But behold, it is the effect of a afrenzied mind; and this derangement of your minds comes because of the traditions of your fathers, which lead you away into a belief of things which are not so.
17 And many more such things did he say unto them, telling them that there could be no atonement made for the sins of men, but every man afared in this life according to the management of the creature; therefore every man prospered according to his genius, and that every man conquered according to his strength; and bwhatsoever a man did was cno crime.
18 And thus he did preach unto them, leading away the hearts of many, causing them to lift up their heads in their wickedness, yea, leading away many women, and also men, to commit whoredoms—telling them that when a man was dead, that was the end thereof.
19 Now this man went over to the land of aJershon also, to preach these things among the people of Ammon, who were once the people of the Lamanites.
20 But behold they were more wise than many of the Nephites; for they took him, and bound him, and carried him before Ammon, who was a ahigh priest over that people.
21 And it came to pass that he caused that he should be carried out of the land. And he came over into the land of Gideon, and began to preach unto them also; and here he did not have much success, for he was taken and bound and carried before the high priest, and also the chief judge over the land.
22 And it came to pass that the high priest said unto him: Why do ye go about perverting the ways of the Lord? Why do ye teach this people that there shall be no Christ, to interrupt their rejoicings? Why do ye speak against all the prophecies of the holy prophets?
23 Now the high priest’s name was Giddonah. And Korihor said unto him: Because I do not teach the foolish traditions of your fathers, and because I do not teach this people to bind themselves down under the foolish ordinances and performances which are laid down by ancient priests, to usurp power and authority over them, to keep them in ignorance, that they may not lift up their heads, but be brought down according to thy words.
24 Ye say that this people is a free people. Behold, I say they are in bondage. Ye say that those ancient prophecies are true. Behold, I say that ye do not know that they are true.
25 Ye say that this people is a guilty and a fallen people, because of the transgression of a parent. Behold, I say that a child is not guilty because of its parents.
26 And ye also say that Christ shall come. But behold, I say that ye do not know that there shall be a Christ. And ye say also that he shall be slain for the asins of the world—
27 And thus ye lead away this people after the foolish traditions of your fathers, and according to your own desires; and ye keep them down, even as it were in bondage, that ye may glut yourselves with the labors of their hands, that they durst not look up with boldness, and that they durst not enjoy their rights and privileges.
28 Yea, they durst not make use of that which is their own lest they should offend their priests, who do yoke them according to their desires, and have brought them to believe, by their traditions and their dreams and their whims and their visions and their pretended mysteries, that they should, if they did not do according to their words, offend some unknown being, who they say is God—a being who anever has been seen or known, who bnever was nor ever will be.
29 Now when the high priest and the achief judge saw the hardness of his heart, yea, when they saw that he would brevile even against God, they would not make any reply to his words; but they caused that he should be bound; and they delivered him up into the hands of the officers, and sent him to the land of Zarahemla, that he might be brought before Alma, and the chief judge who was governor over all the land.
30 And it came to pass that when he was brought before Alma and the chief judge, he did go on in the same manner as he did in the land of Gideon; yea, he went on to ablaspheme.
31 And he did rise up in great aswelling words before Alma, and did revile against the bpriests and teachers, accusing them of leading away the people after the silly traditions of their fathers, for the sake of glutting on the labors of the people.
32 Now Alma said unto him: Thou knowest that we do not glut ourselves upon the labors of this people; for behold I have alabored even from the commencement of the reign of the judges until now, with mine bown hands for my support, notwithstanding my many travels round about the land to declare the word of God unto my people.
33 And notwithstanding the many labors which I have performed in the church, I have never received so much as even one asenine for my labor; neither has any of my brethren, save it were in the judgment-seat; and then we have received only according to law for our time.
34 And now, if we do not receive anything for our labors in the church, what doth it profit us to labor in the church save it were to declare the truth, that we may have rejoicings in the ajoy of our brethren?
35 Then why sayest thou that we preach unto this people to get gain, when thou, of thyself, knowest that we receive no gain? And now, believest thou that we deceive this people, that acauses such joy in their hearts?
36 And Korihor answered him, Yea.
37 And then Alma said unto him: Believest thou that there is a God?
38 And he answered, Nay.
39 Now Alma said unto him: Will ye deny again that there is a God, and also deny the Christ? For behold, I say unto you, I know there is a God, and also that Christ shall come.
40 And now what evidence have ye that there is no aGod, or that Christ cometh not? I say unto you that ye have none, save it be your word only.
41 But, behold, I have all things as a atestimony that these things are true; and ye also have all things as a testimony unto you that they are true; and will ye deny them? Believest thou that these things are true?
42 Behold, I know that thou abelievest, but thou art possessed with a blying spirit, and ye have put coff the Spirit of God that it may have no place in you; but the devil has power over you, and he doth carry you about, working devices that he may destroy the children of God.
43 And now Korihor said unto Alma: If thou wilt show me a asign, that I may be convinced that there is a God, yea, show unto me that he hath power, and then will I be convinced of the truth of thy words.
44 But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of aall these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the bearth, and call things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its dmotion, yea, and also all the eplanets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.
45 And yet do ye go about, leading away the hearts of this people, testifying unto them there is no God? And yet will ye deny against all these awitnesses? And he said: Yea, I will deny, except ye shall show me a sign.
46 And now it came to pass that Alma said unto him: Behold, I am grieved because of the hardness of your heart, yea, that ye will still resist the spirit of the truth, that thy soul may be destroyed.
47 But behold, it is abetter that thy soul should be blost than that thou shouldst be the means of bringing many souls down to destruction, by thy lying and by thy flattering words; therefore if thou shalt deny again, behold God shall smite thee, that thou shalt become dumb, that thou shalt never open thy mouth any more, that thou shalt not deceive this people any more.
48 Now Korihor said unto him: I do not deny the existence of a God, but I do not believe that there is a God; and I say also, that ye do not know that there is a God; and except ye show me a sign, I will not believe.
49 Now Alma said unto him: This will I give unto thee for a sign, that thou shalt be astruck dumb, according to my words; and I say, that in the name of God, ye shall be struck dumb, that ye shall no more have utterance.
50 Now when Alma had said these words, Korihor was struck dumb, that he could not have utterance, according to the words of Alma.
51 And now when the chief judge saw this, he put forth his hand and wrote unto Korihor, saying: Art thou convinced of the power of God? In whom did ye desire that Alma should show forth his sign? Would ye that he should afflict others, to show unto thee a sign? Behold, he has showed unto you a sign; and now will ye dispute more?
52 And Korihor put forth his hand and wrote, saying: I know that I am dumb, for I cannot speak; and I know that nothing save it were the apower of God could bring this upon me; yea, and I always bknew that there was a God.
53 But behold, the devil hath adeceived me; for he bappeared unto me in the cform of an angel, and said unto me: Go and reclaim this people, for they have all gone astray after an unknown God. And he said unto me: There is dno God; yea, and he taught me that which I should say. And I have taught his words; and I taught them because they were pleasing unto the ecarnal mind; and I taught them, even until I had much success, insomuch that I verily believed that they were true; and for this cause I withstood the truth, even until I have brought this great fcurse upon me.
54 Now when he had said this, he besought that Alma should pray unto God, that the acurse might be taken from him.
55 But Alma said unto him: If this curse should be taken from thee thou wouldst again lead away the hearts of this people; therefore, it shall be unto thee even as the Lord will.
56 And it came to pass that the curse was not taken off of Korihor; but he was acast out, and went about from house to house begging for his food.
57 Now the knowledge of what had happened unto Korihor was immediately published throughout all the land; yea, the proclamation was sent forth by the chief judge to all the people in the land, declaring unto those who had believed in the words of Korihor that they must speedily repent, alest the same judgments would come unto them.
58 And it came to pass that they were all convinced of the wickedness of Korihor; therefore they were all converted again unto the Lord; and this put an end to the iniquity after the manner of Korihor. And Korihor did go about from house to house, begging food for his support.
59 And it came to pass that as he went forth among the people, yea, among a people who had separated themselves from the Nephites and called themselves aZoramites, [Zor = wealth, am= to be] being led by a man whose name was Zoram—and as he went forth amongst them, behold, he was run upon and trodden down, even until he was bdead.
60 And thus we see the end of him who aperverteth the ways of the Lord; and thus we see that the devil will not bsupport his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to chell.
=A man who was calling to the people to the heights greatly offended them, they called Alma, the Man of Purpose who cross-examined him, and lo and behold the things he needed to find answers to were on the inside. They could not come from food, sound, sight, water, wealth or comfort.
The Zoramites, people who lust for wealth, had a fit about having to deal with a person who was not extroverted in his search for the Spirit of God ran him over in traffic.
Now read Alma 31 next: Alma and the Judge have to minister to people that didn't quite get it, as you will find out, and the Chapter ends explaining how food for the mind and soul are provided to the eager....for heaven and also for hell.

Can you please explain the Mormon religion
The Mormon religion was founded by Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ who told him that all churches and their creeds were an abomination (1 Nephi 13:28; Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith – History 1:18, 19). Joseph Smith then set out to "restore true Christianity" and claimed his church to be the “only true church on earth” (Mormon Doctrine, p. 670; 1 Nephi 14:10).
The Mormons teach:
God has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe but attained that status through righteous living. (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321)
That there are different levels or kingdoms in the afterlife: the celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, the telestial kingdom, and outer darkness. Where mankind will end up depends on what they believe and do in this life. (Mormon Doctrine, p. 348)
That Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary. (Mormon Doctrine, p. 547)
They believe Jesus is a god, but that any human can also become a god (Doctrine and Covenants 132:20; Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345–354)
Mormonism teaches that salvation can be earned by a combination of faith and good works (LDS Bible Dictionary, p. 697).
Sadly what Mormonism teaches is all false. God has always and always will be God. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2; 1 Timothy 1:17) The Bible also tells us that after death we go to heaven or hell based on whether or not we had faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. (John 3:16-18) Jesus is the only man who existed before physical birth (John 1:1–8; 8:56) and no one can achieve the status of God, only God is holy (1 Samuel 2:2). and clearly, there is only one way to receive salvation and that is to know God and His Son, Jesus (John 17:3). Receiving salvation is not done by works but by faith (Romans 1:17; 3:28). Sadly Mormons are deceived by a false religion that distorts the nature of God, the Person of Jesus Christ, and the means of salvation. I pray that they repent and come to know the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A group of people in the Book of Mormon, many of whom were descendants of the prophet Nephi, son of Lehi. They separated from the Lamanites and were generally more righteous than the Lamanites. However, they were eventually destroyed by the Lamanites because of wickedness.
The Nephites separated from the Lamanites, 2 Ne. 5:5–17.
All those who were not Lamanites were Nephites, Jacob 1:13.
The Nephites were inspired by a better cause, Alma 43:6–9, 45.
The Nephites had never been happier than at the time of Moroni, Alma 50:23.
The Nephites were saved because of the prayers of the righteous, Alma 62:40.
The Nephites did begin to dwindle in unbelief, Hel. 6:34–35.
Jesus taught and ministered among the Nephites, 3 Ne. 11:1–28:12.
All were converted to the Lord and had all things in common, 4 Ne. 1:2–3.
There was no contention, the love of God dwelt in their hearts, and they were the happiest of people, 4 Ne. 1:15–16.
The Nephites began to be proud and vain, 4 Ne. 1:43.
Blood and carnage spread throughout all the face of the land, Morm. 2:8.
The Nephites increased in wickedness and Mormon refused to lead them, Morm. 3:9–11.
All the Nephites, except for twenty-four, were killed, Morm. 6:7–15.
Every Nephite who would not deny Christ was put to death, Moro. 1:2.
The Nephites were destroyed because of their wickedness and sins, D&C 3:18.
Beware of pride for fear you become as the Nephites, D&C 38:39.
( debunking Mormons, did that, you know spiel anyway as to polygamy, the belief that the devinizing of the flesh was an act of embodiment-some believe in abstinence ,for others it was polygamy, everyone wants to controll sexuality, with the same promise of escaping the quotidian. Mormons were demonized and set upon ,after all, they hadn’t earned better, being duplicitous by nature, remember Spring Meadows....so how did they make it from bad religion to good religion, with the seal of approval from the secular beliefs ...instead of secular versus religion, perhaps we should be asking good or bad religion, secularism is a belief system, imposed from above.

Jésus-Christ
Preuves de l'existence historique de Jésus-Christ. Jésus-Christ a-t-il vraiment existé? Jésus est il un personnage historique? Que dit l'histoire de Jésus?
youtube
a. Justin Martyr (100 - 165)
" (Apologie I, 35.7-9)

Opposition In All Things
11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my first-born in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility. 12 Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore there would have been no purpose in the end of its creation. Wherefore, this thing must needs destroy the wisdom of God and his eternal purposes, and also the power, and the mercy, and the justice of God. 13 And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away. 14 And now, my sons, I speak unto you these things for your profit and learning; for there is a God, and he hath created all things, both the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are, both things to act and things to be acted upon. 2 Nephi 2:11-14 Today is Election Day We have a choice to make choices and vote for the Presidential Election. One can make a choice to choose the candidates they desire for their local state and federal candidates. Doing so brings power, but there is a lot of “choosing by not choosing” which is also a choice. Choosing by Not Choosing = Fence Sitting There was first two choices. Two trees to choose from. 15 And to bring about his eternal purposes in the end of man, after he had created our first parents, and the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and in fine, all things which are created, it must needs be that there was an opposition; even the forbidden fruit in opposition to the tree of life; the one being sweet and the other bitter. 2 Nephi 2:15 I’m guessing the forbidden fruit was sweet and the tree of life fruit was bitter. What forbidden thing would be tempestuous if it were a bitter fruit? Nobody would want the fruit and cast it out being good for nothing. Some individuals are trying to blur the lines between forbidden fruit versus fruit from the tree of life. 8 And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God. 2 Nephi 28:8 “There is no harm in this.” The problem with fence sitting is one doesn’t have power in themselves to act but rather be acted upon. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/media/video/2012-03-0014-acting-and-not-being-acted-upon?lang=eng The disseminator of information. Inviting learners to act. Inviting learners to act upon that which they are learning to disassemble. Having the moral agency to act rather than be acted upon. To act to willfully rebel in the middle of the fence by making that choice one does not receive granted blessings, but to be spued out of the Lord’s mouth. 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16 Why does God want one to choose a side rather than just fence sit? Because people who blur the lines upon fence sitters have the direction to pervert the right ways of the Lord, and not for His righteousness. 27 And all this have they done that they might pervert the right ways of the Lord, that they might blind the eyes and harden the hearts of the children of men. 28 Wherefore, thou seest that after the book hath gone forth through the hands of the great and abominable church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which is the book of the Lamb of God. 1 Nephi 13:27-28 There judgement is to sway the righteous ways of the Lord and pervert His paths by making them not straight.
