Lolol sometimes it’s so funny reading peoples posts about “Mormon” theology that is based on Exmo stories, tradition/culture but not doctrine, and like random statements by some church leader 200 years ago that was not put into doctrine/canonized, or that he was corrected/reprimanded on, and all of us look back on like “well that guy was racist/sexist. Anyways moving on…” like tbh it just makes me laugh. Like I know our theology is a bit different than mainstream Christianity but y’all don’t need to make it sound like we are out here truly believing half the stuff you say about us.

You know, Joseph Smith revealed the name of the brother of Jared in a revelation outside of the Book of Mormon; I think we're long overdue for revelations of the names of, like, Nephi's sisters, the wives of the BoM prophets, and the women that aren't Abish or Sariah that still played an important role in how everything went down.

So it was Helena laughing at the Kier forest masturbating story. Because it's not real and, as an Eagan, she knows that? Because laughing is what she knew Helly R. would do? She laughs at the story but the next morning, thinking she's alone, she goes to appreciate and show reverence to the Hollow and the waterfall. Because she thinks the story is actually true? Because she knows the story is just fantasy but still believes in the meaning and the symbolism?

#5, in which i drink the blood
The wine, she says, is red.
It’s the notes of black cherries and kiss of late June.
My second taste of alcohol is bitter, thick, brief --
So unlike the sweet touch of honeyed mead in ash winter.
We did love, in our way. I did.
I loved like bees to pollen.
She loved like vultures to carrion.
Pick something, do it to me.
Desire me. The gin to your alcoholic,
The lighter, spoon, and tar to your syringe.
We boiled water to warm our shared skin, while I exposed myself and you despised watching.
What pores bled filth, I never asked.
What pores held the bitter chill, I never asked --
Winter settled and Last Supper came late.
The question was answered wordlessly,
One of you shall betray me.

Responding to Michelle Grim and Life After Ministry's Post "LDS: Jesus Prophesied of Joseph Smith"
ABSTRACT: In a recent post on Life After Ministry, Michelle Grim critiques Joseph Smith’s prophetic role and foreordination in the Restoration of the Gospel, referencing biblical passages such as 2 Corinthians 11:13-14 and Matthew 24:24. Grim questions the validity of Joseph Smith’s prophetic claims, suggesting that Jesus’ warnings about false prophets apply to him. She challenges readers to…
