1930 Ford Highboy Coupe
There’s always lots of detail work with any build and this ’30 Ford highboy coupe is no exception. Look closely and you will find Craftworks Fabrication handmade steel motor mounts. The license plate and valve covers were painted by Jeremy Seanor of Luckystrike Designs. He also painted all the accompanying engine and tranny parts. The powdercoat was handled by Pittsburgh Powder Coat while the chrome plating was conducted by Jon Wright’s Custom Chrome Plating.
The chassis is comprised of a Roadster Shop custom frame that was stepped, stretched, and features contoured ’32 Ford-style framerails. It was also then boxed, capped, and has hole punch flared front framehorns. From here the frame is outfitted with a Super Bell 4-inch drop, drilled and plated I-beam axle, low-profile monoleaf spring with Ridetech tubular shocks paired to custom-made drilled billet radius rods from Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. Steering falls to the Flaming River box and a LimeWorks Hot Rod column topped with a four-spoke Billet Specialties Sprint Car–style leather-wrapped wheel. In back there’s a Currie 9-inch rearend outfitted with 3.70 gears, 31-spline axles, QA1 coilovers, a Pete & Jakes Panhard bar, and a parallel four-link setup. Braking is a combination of disc/drum front to rear. The forward braking dark gray–painted Wilwood Dynalite calipers are neatly hidden behind the Pete & Jakes finned backing plates. While in back the 9-inch is outfitted with 11-inch brakes, this time hidden beneath the SO-CAL Speed Shop finned drums all the while the chassis rides on a full set of 16-inch Dayton wire wheels wrapped with Coker/Excelsior rubber measuring 5.50R16 in front and 7.00R18 in the back.
All hot rods have something fun settled between the ’rails and beneath the hood (well if they have a hood). In the case of our ’30 Ford highboy coupe it sure appears to be a vintage Ford Y-block but after more than a cursory look we begin to see the telltale signs that there’s something more. Indeed, while it may look like a Ford it truly is a 376-inch LSX iron block, with aluminum heads and ARP studs, plus adapter-equipped small-block Ford (Windsor) valve covers all from Don Hardy Race Cars and then assembled by Talik and Marc Mullin. The intake is an Edelbrock LS dual quad with a pair of Thunder AVS EnduraShine carbs dressed in OTB air cleaners. Delivering the gas from the Tanks stainless reservoir is an Earl’s Performance billet fuel pump. More engine accessories include an MSD 6AL box to go along with the MSD billet Ford small-block distributor that functions through a timing cover adapter from Chevrolet Performance all the while using an MSD coil and Lokar vintage plug wires. Powermaster also supplied the alternator and starter, the battery is an XS Power AGM, and a Wegner Motorsports water pump is used as well as a Wegner front accessory drive unit. This 500-plus hp V-8 utilizes custom headers made at Craftworks Fabrication based on Ultimate Headers LS header flanges. The pseudo-Ford small-block is backed up to a TCI StreetFighter 700-R4 with a 2,800-stall speed converter operated by a Lokar shifter. The trans cooler comes by way of Derale Performance and moves the power through a 3-inch-diameter custom-made driveshaft.

4Stroke Rumen
Anyway, Roumen Antonov claims to have successfully completed the certification tests for his Rumen. Ranked in the "small series" category (less than 500 copies), the Rumen did not have recourse to a destructive crash test. On the other hand, pollution tests are an obligation. They were passed with flying colors thanks to the original PSA/Toyota powertrain. The Rumen has the 3 "legs" with 4 valves per cylinder developing 68 hp at 6000 rpm and 93 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm. He is in the rear central position and the car becomes a propulsion. This engine is equipped with a VVT variable valve timing which contributes to the very good performance of the engine. Its consumption of 4.6 l/100 km recorded on the Citroën C1 weighing around 800 kg will be significantly improved on the Rumen which will not exceed 600 kg on the scale. The running gear derives closely from the Peugeot 107 with a few adaptations, in particular the design of the rear axle taken from the brain of Roumen Antonov. Like everything else! Surprisingly, the front track much wider than the rear accentuates the curiosity of passers-by inevitably attracted by the Rumen. The advantage of a large series mechanics is to be able to have all the electronic fittings that go with it. Thus the Rumen offers ABS (for the record, R.Antonov mocks knowing that a Spyker of more than 200,000 euros is not equipped with it!) But also the electronic brake force distribution EBS. Anyway, with 4 disc brakes and only 600 kg, the car will never be faulted in this area. As on the trio of original Franco-Japanese city cars, the 5-speed manual gearbox will be available.
The beige leather interior, embellished with chrome, aluminum and wood is a model of visual warmth. The large “old era” wooden steering wheel makes you unconsciously hold it at 8:20. It's automotive imagery from the 1930s to 1950s stuck in a corner of your cortex that suddenly resurfaces. The interior space equivalent to that of an Audi A3 does not yet have the exemplary finish of a production model, but nothing is really open to criticism. You will just be criticized for ergonomics to be refined to prevent the right knee from bumping into the gear lever in curves on the left and black stalks which denote a little in this warm universe.
The body made of polyester inserted in a tubular frame does not yet meet the final specifications and the soundproofing has not yet been the subject of a study. The small 3-cylinder rests in a box covered in red leather behind the seats. Not enough for it to be forgotten or appreciated. Either it will be necessary to work on the sound to "ennoble it", or it will have to be completely soundproofed.
Even if an option can increase the power to almost 110 hp thanks to a compressor, the Rumen should not be considered as a sports car but as a Grand Touring in miniature. The suspension settings adopted are very flexible and offer quite surprising comfort on the rutted portions. The reduced weight of the machine also prevents it from "lying down" in curves, which in the end is not far from being the perfect compromise.

HOW TO MAKE APPLE PIE FROM SCRATCH
1. Peel, core and slice the apples. In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the apple slices, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon zest and lemon juice until well combined and set aside. Place the oven rack in the center position and preheat your oven to 400°F.
2. Remove the discs of pie crust from the fridge and let set at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll one of the discs into a 12" circle that is ⅛" thick. Place the crust into the bottom of the deep dish pie plate.
3. A pie crust being placed into a pie dish.
Spoon the apple pie filling into the crust, discarding any liquid at the bottom of the mixing bowl. Spread the apple slices evenly.
4. Apple slices in the bottom of the pie crust.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the second disc of pie dough into a 12" circle that is ⅛" thick. Place the crust over the apple pie filling.
5. Use a sharp knife to trim the excess dough from around the edge of the pie plate. Use your fingers to pull both the bottom and top pie crust up and slightly away from the edge of the pie dish. Fold the edge under itself and press down to seal the edge in place. Rotate the pie a quarter turn and repeat until edges are neatly tucked in.
6. Place the pie dish onto a baking sheet and gently brush the surface of the dough with the egg wash and sprinkle sanding sugar on top. Use a sharp knife to cut vents in the crust.
7. In order to protect the edges of the pie from over-browning, use a long strip of aluminum foil (about 38" long) by folding it in half lengthwise and then folding in half again, lengthwise. Wrap it around the edges of the pie plate and over the edges of the crust. This is referred to as a "pie shield".
8. A strip of foil around the edges of the pie keeps them from over-browning while baking.
Bake the pie at 400°F for 25 minutes. Remove the pie shield, lower the oven temperature to 375°F and bake an additional 30-35 minutes.
You'll know the apple pie is done when the crust is a lovely golden brown and the juice is bubbling up the sides of the pan.
TIP: use a pie shield during the first 25 minutes of baking instead the second half of baking to prevent burning yourself when placing the shield onto the pie dish. 🥧
Thank you for the recipe. I have no idea what you want me to do with it.

Modifying a TE27 Sprinter Trueno
The secret is "simple" rather than "plain"
'72 model TE27 SprinterTrueno that respects the atmosphere with the standard parts of the time
Last year and this year, the TE27 Trueno won prizes in the Modify Co Contest two years in a row. Isn't it a dot?
Photo: Ito
●Modification part '83 final model 2T-G replacement Unmeasured initial model genuine car
Breathtaking finish

The engine is the final 2T-G with Solex 40 for 18R-G and the cam for the initial model. The silver head cover seems to be the color of the group, and the owner's car has a red border. Barnacle octopus legs can be installed almost with bolts from TE27 to TE37. The plug cord is made by TRD and the oil catch tank is 2ℓ of Carrosse. The interior of the engine room is in show condition, with almost everything including the fenders, struts, and bulkheads polished to a shine.
Exterior parts group full of commitment
According to the owner, who values the atmosphere of that era more than anything else, “Cars are easier to drive than motorcycles because there are many things that cannot be seen.” In other words, the parts that can be seen are the parts that must be thoroughly adhered to in the car, and Niinana's enthusiasm is strongly felt. According to the owner, he likes the Napoleon mirror that he got from a friend the most. Also, I chose the tail lens for the early 20 series Corolla Coupe (KE25) and installed it nine years ago when I got it. However, the simplicity of the red color without amber matches the side markers for export that are installed in the set, and he likes it. If you replace it with the frame, you can install it with bolt-on. The Cibie 100/90W bulb of the headlamp that changes the look of your eyes is a classic. In addition, the black accent lines around the headlamps give it a completely different image and a fearless look. The front chin spoiler is a custom order.
Commitment to modification
“I changed cars with the B110, KP, and Hachiroku, and my fourth car, the Niinana, was bought nine years ago for 100,000 yen. It's become an item.Mine is terrible considering the price. It must have been used for dirt tracks.
Before I knew it, I had become like that. Custom is important to the atmosphere that fits the era of the car. I like to make it simple rather than the earth. I also like customizing motorcycles. It was the RD, the predecessor of the Yamaha RZ. Since there are many visible parts of a motorcycle, it is not so easy to cheat. Cars are fun in that respect. Invisible parts are solidified with the latest parts. However, the appearance that can be seen is particular about what fits the atmosphere of Niinana. As expected, there are many things that are difficult to find, but it's also one of the pleasures to look for such parts again. In baht, I can be proud of the Tosco wheels, Napoleon mirrors, and Autolook seats.
Satisfaction while driving!
It's something only the driver can see, but I definitely want to be particular about the meters. This Niinana was equipped with a 11,000 rpm full-scale TRD racing tachometer (manufactured by Nippondenso). It is the benefit of the independent 3 meters of this era that it can be neatly put together because it is installed in the normal position. The point that it is replaced with an aluminum panel is also lacy. Also center hydraulic
As for the engine, I tried tuning the 1750 and 2000 that can be thought of in Niinana. But when I was restoring it, a friend took me a 2-liter engine, and now it's a 1.6-liter engine. There are still many things I want to do. I would like to work on my legs a little more. Also the engine. I want to add a special crank. It would cost about 500,000 yen to make one-off, so I'm looking for TRD or the one that was used in the F3 that was made overseas at the time. It may take a lifetime to find it, but that hardship is part of the fun.”
Wheels are 13 inches of TOSCO (the predecessor of TRD of Toyopet Sports Corner). At that time, the racing design was a perfect match for the TE27. 7" is installed in the front and 8J is installed in the rear, but 7" is especially difficult to obtain now. Of course, TRD seems to have some in stock, but it is a gem that I would like to see reprinted and resold. The tire to be combined is ADVAN Type D. The size is 185/55 VR13 at the front and 195/55 VR13 at the rear, and it clears the basics of difficulty with over fenders.
hard to get now

How are rectifier diodes manufactured?
Understanding how these diodes are manufactured provides insight into their functionality and quality.
1. Semiconductor Material Selection
Rectifier diodes are typically made from silicon or germanium, chosen for their semiconductor properties. Silicon is the most common due to its higher temperature tolerance and lower leakage current. Germanium, while less common, has a lower forward voltage drop, making it suitable for certain applications.
2. Crystal Growth
The first step in manufacturing rectifier diodes involves growing a silicon crystal through the Czochralski process. This process involves melting high-purity silicon in a crucible and slowly pulling a seed crystal from the melt. As the seed crystal is pulled, it forms a single crystal ingot.
3. Ingot Processing
The silicon ingot is then processed into wafers. This involves slicing the ingot into thin discs using a diamond saw. These wafers undergo several treatments to remove impurities and create a uniform surface for the next steps.
4. Wafer Doping
Doping is the process of introducing impurities into the silicon wafer to create regions with different conductivity. For rectifier diodes, the wafer is doped with a material that introduces extra electrons (n-type doping) or holes (p-type doping) into the silicon lattice.
5. Photolithography
Photolithography is used to define the patterns on the wafer that will form the diode's structure. A layer of photoresist is applied to the wafer, exposed to ultraviolet light through a mask, and then developed to create a pattern on the wafer.
6. Etching
Etching is used to remove the exposed parts of the silicon wafer not protected by the photoresist. This process creates the structure of the diode, including the anode and cathode regions.
7. Metallization
Metallization involves depositing a metal layer, usually aluminum or copper, onto the wafer's surface. This metal layer forms the diode's contacts, allowing for electrical connections to be made.
8. Passivation
Passivation is the final step in manufacturing rectifier diodes. It involves applying a thin layer of material, such as silicon dioxide, to protect the diode from environmental factors and improve its performance.

Circooter 800W Off-Road Escooter Review: Smooth Riding Adult Off-Road Scooter
The Circooter 800W Off-Road Escooter embraces its strengths to provide stellar off-road performance without sacrificing a smooth ride. Comfort, safety, customization, and reliability highlight the Raptor’s appealing build. From the sporty design of the ultra-high-strength aluminum alloy frame to the power of the 800W motor, this all-terrain electric scooter delivers chill and thrill in equal measures. The best part is, it grants top-of-class user control, allowing riders to create a customized performance profile that feels tailor-made for any rider in any situation.
Circooter Specs
Motor: 800 W brushless hub motor Battery: 48V 15Ah Peak Range: 21-25 miles (34-40 km) Weight: 52 lbs (26 kg) Peak Load Capacity: 440 lbs (200 kg) Brakes: Dual mechanical disc brakes with an electronic braking system (EBS) Tires: 10-inchoff-road tubeless tires Suspension: Dual shock suspension Charge Time: 3-4 hours Extras: 3 ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, Circooter Smart App, intuitive LCD dashboard display, ultra-fast dual charging, flat-resistant tires, IPX4 waterproof resistance, 8-inch clearance; and a 360-degree lighting system that includes dual headlights, double side moonlights, front and rear turn signals, and brake lights.
All-Terrain Comfort and Performance
Equipped with flat-resistant and rugged 10-inch off-road tires, 8-inch clearance, and high water resistance out of the box, this scooter can crash through puddles or climb over obstacles with the best of them. The dual shock suspension system bears loads up to 440 lbs — nearly twice the capacity of the comparably-priced Splach Twin. The sleek and durable frame dazzles while still holding up to the rigors of off-road riding. On top of that, it weighs in at a manageable 52 lbs, making it one of the more wieldy models in its class.
Unbeatable Customization
The true functionality of this scooter reveals itself when paired with the Circooter Smart App. Intuitive and user-friendly, this free app connects to the scooter via Bluetooth to put the control in the user’s hands. Manage functions like locks, lights, gears, and start mode with the swipe of a finger. Run diagnostics and testing, and track performance. Customize the performance profile to tailor-fit any riding style or terrain with ease and simplicity.
Long Range, High Performance
The Raptor’s 800W hub motor provides dynamic acceleration and packs enough power to crawl a 30% grade with ease — all without sacrificing range. It doesn’t top the off-road electric scooter charts with its max speed, but it has all the necessary get-up-and-go to make road cruises a blast while still returning a handsome 25-mile peak range on a single charge.
Circooter offers up three distinct and functional ride modes to afford peak performance in a multitude of riding conditions. Drive mode provides smooth cruising around town, giving riders the best of both worlds — power and range. ECO mode parses back performance to increase range, an ideal option for those times you just don’t want your ride to end. And, if you’re looking for thrills on hills, sport mode ramps up the power so you can hit the trail with confidence.
Quick Charge
Perhaps the feature that sets the Circooter’s Off-Road Scooter apart more than any, this scooter boasts a unique and useful dual charging capability. While other scooters make a nine-to-five job out of charging, the Raptor removes the hassle of waiting to ride by utilizing two charger ports to cut charge time down to a brisk three to four hours.
Superior Safety
As much as the Raptor’s design delivers performance, it still makes no bones about keeping riders safe. The 360-degree lighting system provides necessary visibility for riders and bystanders alike regardless of condition. Dual disc brakes with an electronic braking system give the scooter peak stopping power and improved handling. The Circooter Smart App allows users to set a max drive speed to ensure the good time doesn’t go too far. And the remote diagnostic testing feature ensures that riders always know their Raptor is in working order before hitting the road or trail.
Hit the Trail With Comfort and Confidence
The Circooter Raptor Off-Road Scooter takes all the safety, reliability, and customization scooter aficionados expect from a passenger scooter and delivers it in a built-to-last package that can tackle the most daunting terrain imaginable for an electric scooter, all while remaining versatile enough to give you a smooth cruise around town. At an affordable price, the Raptor is the choice for riders who long for the open trail but don’t want to sacrifice a smooth ride — or stop to charge — on the way.
Take it on the road in sport mode and watch as the rpm leap up like frogs in a dynamite pond. Or put it in ECO mode to see just how far this scooter can take you on one charge. With this scooter, the choice is yours and you can’t go wrong with whatever decision you make.
