I had someone try to argue with me when I said that I think Bulma is a powerful character in Dragon Ball. They tried to argue and say she’s not a fighter, has weak chi, etc. so therefore she’s not powerful. And I was just thinking; are they not aware that power comes in many different forms?

Power isn’t just based by one’s strength, it can also be determined by the person’s intelligence/knowledge, mastery in certain skills, influence, wealth, social status/ranking, connections, position in politics, etc. and Bulma has many of these characteristics:

Bulma is INFLUENTIAL

She is apart of a very influential family, the Capsule Corporation family! She’s the heiress of her father’s business, a business that creates a device that can shrink any object into small capsules. A device we see EVERYONE in the series use.

Not to mention her own existence influencing the story. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have Dragon Ball. She’s the one who built the dragon radar, she’s the one who found Goku and convinced him to join her on her adventure. Without her, Goku wouldn’t have left his house and met characters like Roshi, Krillin and his own wife, Chichi.

And of course, her influence on Vegeta. Bulma played a big part in Vegeta’s character development in DBZ, with him starting as a villainous irredeemable planet destroyer, and turning him into a hero/protector of earth and a loving husband/father. She took one good look at him, thought “I can fix him” AND DID. Her influence and even love for him made him a better person.

I can go on and on about how big of a role Bulma plays in Vegeta’s arc but I assume yall already know the story. 

Bulma is RICH

First off, look how freaking huge her house is! Capsule Corp is a multi milllion (possibly billion) dollar company. 

She’s so rich she has used her own money to fulfill her friends wishes that it got Shenron himself sweating. When promised prize money for everyone if they win the Tournament of Power, it was Bulma that provided the cash to anyone who wants it.

For her birthday party she took everyone her own cruise ship and hosted a Bingo game where the prizes consisted of: a brand new car, a jet, a giant diamond and a literal castle.

AND THOSE WERE JUST 2ND AND 3RD PLACE PRIZES!!!

Bulma has CONNECTIONS

She has frequent lunches with Whis who’s a literal Angel, made Beerus the God of Destruction her FREE babysitter and she’s close friends with Jaco the Galactic Patrolmen thanks to her sister, Tights.

And not to mention the that she’s married to the Vegeta the Saiyan Prince, giving her a royal status, and is also childhood friends with Goku, another Saiyan. And her two children are also Half Saiyans!

Bulma is SMART

I’m just going to go over a list of things she’s invented/done throughout the series:

- The Dragon Radar and the Super Dragon Radar

- A device that can make herself shrink and grow at her own will

- She fixed Radtiz’s scouter, and even rewired it to be in a non alien language so she can properly read it

- Helped her dad rebuild the Namekien space ship that got her, Krillin and Gohan to Namek

- An translator for Ginyu when he was trapped in a Namekian frog body (an animal that she did not know the biology of mind you)

- Helped her dad fix Android 16’s damages

- Saiyan armor, she was able to find a way to perfectly duplicate the material that Saiyans/the Frieza force use. Reminder that all armor Vegeta wears from Android saga and onward was made by her.

- A freaking Time Machine!! (Yes I know that was her future self who built it but it still says so much as to what Bulma is capable of creating)

In conclusion, Bulma may not be a fighter like the others, but she has so many other qualities that make her powerful. She’s strong willed character, a helpful ally to Goku and friends, and an important member of the team thanks to her influence, connections, wealth and intelligence.

Bulma is POWERFUL because of who she is and what she does!

My small collection of Dragon Ball OCs! Well, most of them. I still got Relish to do a full drawing of.

Saibon is my modified Saibaman OC. He's a short lil guy who speaks like a normal dude, but has a habit of letting loose his screeching during a fight. He was created by my Saiyan guy Bean! Bean worked for Frieza, prioritizing science above battle. His story is a bit more complicated but his project of creating Saibon was disapproved of and that resulted in him being hunted shortly before Saibon was planted.

My first DBZ OC was Jean, my namekian!!! :DDDD

Jean is a heroic type who travels around protecting planets from external (and sometimes internal) threats. He's not super powerful and he's still learning how to do his job right, but he's very good at diplomacy.

Finally, my guy Pyron is a volcano beast that enjoys completely ruining planets with heat. I'll post more about him sometime, as he and his species aren't just plucked from dragon ball like all the rest of them are. I'd like to get his 2nd form drawn for that.

For now I will say he is THE bad guy of my friend group's characters. The rest are more or less on the same side and would team up against Pyron!

I have a massive 2GB canvas of doodles of these guys and my friend's OCs that I could share eventually should the moment call for it! :D

"Why am I even here...?" You mumbled to yourself, leaning back in your seat. The spot next to you filled, causing you to look over. The Lord and Empire of the Universe himself sat beside you. 'What the hell is Lord Frieza doing here?!'. You blinked and looked at him as he drank from his cup.

"Not much of a party person, are you (y/n)?" Frieza asked, looking into his cup. You stared at him. He turned his head, his piercing red eyes looked back at you. "Well?"

You quickly looked away and nodded your head. He was right, you weren't much of a "party person". All you did was do your work, keep your head down, and go back to your quarters to repeat the next day. Frieza watched your body language and chuckled to himself.

"My, aren't you a nervous one? Don't worry, unwind a little. It is a party after all. Not a party for me, but you should still have fun." He hummed and took another sip. You nodded your head and looked back at him. Before you could ask a question, a large shadow loomed over you both.

Frieza's eyes looked up. His nose scrunched at the figure in front of you both. "Cell…" He choked out in disgust, "And what do I owe the unplease..?" The figure chuckled deeply. "No pleasure at all? That's a little rude of you, Frieza?" You looked up, nearly hurting your neck. The figure was an odd one. He looked like a large cicada but had a gorgeous face and pale hands. You couldn't keep your eyes off of him, and he noticed. Cell crouched down and took your hand, gently kissing it. "Well, are you cute enough to eat.." He purred, "I'm Perfect Cell, little one…but you can just call me Cell." He said, his charming yet deep voice almost threw you into a trance.

Frieza clicked his tongue, clearing his throat. "This is my acquaintance that works for me, (y/n). Isn't that right?" You nod, not losing eye contact with Cell. His deep, hungry gaze switched over from you to Frieza. "Oh? And how come they couldn't say their own name??" Cell questioned the smaller tyrant. Frieza smirked, nearly wanting to rip Cell apart. "Maybe if you stop staring at my workers like some kind of five-course meal, they can speak." Cell laughed and nodded his head. "You think that's the reason? Fine." He looked back at you and smiled, "Tell me your name, little one."

You looked at him then back at Frieza. His face was covered in hidden anger. "Go on. Anwser the rouch." Cell growled at the insult, but then quickly changed back to his charming self. "Um…I'm (y/n)." You answered with a warm smile. Cell chuckled and gently rubbed your cheek. "There we go..~" Your breath nearly got stuck in your throat. Frieza leaned over and swatted his hand away. "Enough of that, Cell. Don't you have more people to absorb?" He hissed. Cell chuckled and grabbed your wrist, "Sure, you could say that…and thanks to you, I found the next person I want to taste." He said, looking at you. Quickly, Cell stood up and looked in the direction of Zarbon. "Hey, Zar. I found my closet buddy!" You were completely lost. Closet buddy?

Zarbon walked over and looked down at you, his towering figure along with Cell's was something truly beautiful to look at. Zarbon's face changed and looked at Cell, "Them? Really?" Cell proudly nodded and held you up by your wrist. "Why yes. Is there a problem?" Zarbon scoffed and shook his head, "Of course not… just didn't take you as the type of person to be into lower life forms. You are a kinky bastard." He softly pushed Cell, causing him to chuckle too. "Now, make your way to the closet -" Before Zarbon could finish his sentence, Frieza shot up from his seat. "You aren't taking them, without me!" Cell and Zarbon both looked down at the tyrant. Zarbon was shocked and nearly dropped to the floor. "My Lord, are you…are you serious about this?" Frieza grabbed your other hand and held it up. "I was going to have them in the closet with me when it was my turn. If Cell takes them now, I want them as well." Cell rolled his eyes and huffed. Zarbon looked at all three of you, nodding his head. Of course, he couldn't say no to his boss.

With all the fighting slightly subsiding, Zarbon leads you and the other two to a large closet. "Seven minutes is all you have. Not a minute over…unless Lord Frieza says so." Zarbon nodded down at the smaller alien. Cell nodded quickly and shoved you into the closet. "Yes, yes. Unless the purple brat says otherwise. We get it, now let's get a move on. I'm hungry…~" He hummed, ducking into the closet. His ominous chuckle slightly echos. Frieza cringed at his disgusting wording and sighed. "Zarbon, if I knock twice before the time is up. Open the door." Zarbon blinked and slowly nodded, not understanding the meaning of that.

In the closet, you sat on the floor. Once the door closed, everything was eerily quiet and dark. You looked around, catching a glimpse of Cell's and Frieza's eyes. They both looked at each other, but Cell's was the one that moved closer to you. He held you up and pinned you to the wall, leaning over to gently place soft kisses around your neck. He wasted no time. You, on the other hand, tried to push him away. This was happening way too fast. You grunted and gasped, moaned, and begged for him to slow down. He only chuckled and exhaled against your skin causing you to shudder.

"Frieza never told me you smelled so good when you're scared…~ But there is no reason for that, I won't hurt you or do anything to harm you unless you want me to…~ I'm here to only have fun.~" He growled in his chest, feeling a strong hand touch his shoulder. Once he turned his head, the figure behind him didn't look like Frieza. It looked more like his father, but it was Frieza; just his second form. "You're enjoying yourself too much. You'll ruin your appetite that way.." Frieza's deeper voice shocked you both. Cell smirked and chuckled at the sentence. "Fine, then come and share this with me." Frieza scoffed at the proposal and pulled you away from the wall. Gently placing you against his bigger and broader chest.

Cell continued to kiss along your neck, gently grinding up against you. Your head started to feel light and you nearly yelped when Cell bites down. Frieza growled at this, slowly guiding his hands to your chest. You mewled out, trying to keep quiet. Frieza leaned over to kiss the shell of your ear, "You don't have to be quiet. If they hear you, I'll deal with them…~" He huffed, licking along your ear. You nodded and started to moan softly. Cell looked over at Frieza, who had the same idea in mind. They both nodded and laid you on the ground.

You opened your eyes and looked up, seeing both of these large figures towering over you. You felt so small, weak…yet, you wanted to have both of them. "H-hurry up.." You said softly. They both looked down at you, their eyes seeming to glow brighter once you said that. "I want to..keep going." Cell crouched down to you and cocked his head to the side. "Well, aren't you impatient? Fine, we'll get on with it. Frieza?" He said, looking back up at the larger alien. Frieza chuckled and got on his knees. "I hope you don't mind us both having our way then." You shook your head, signaling that everything was okay for you. Frieza smirked and quickly got to it, taking off your bottoms and undergarments. Cell did the same to your top. Once you lay nude on the floor, Frieza got to work. Quickly placing cold kisses on your thighs, dragging his tongue along them also. You shudder and meet the soft lips of Cell. Frieza raised your legs, pulling you closer to him. He leaned back down, slowly eating you out. You moaned loudly into the kiss, causing Cell to grunt. The sudden spark of pleasure nearly drove you wild. Cell couldn't take much longer of this. He pulled away, gently pawing at this black codpiece, and growled.

Frieza's analysis #1: Frieza's transformations.

Frieza, our dearest lizard tyrant, is well known for his transformations, one of the most in count. I wanted to look closer to them and determine, why exactly those forms look like such and their functionality.

This post will include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Final, 100%, Golden/5th, Black, some notes about Cold, Cooler, Frost and even Kuriza.

Lets start with Final form. Frieza's and the others' true form, excluding Cold (questionable). Final form is simple and slick in design, compact, covered with durable layer of bio armor all over the body from birth. Frieza technically is not naked, but rather an armored knight from birth. Colors of said bio armor is usually white, with slightly bluish tint on Frost, and more colorful appearances, like Black on Frost, black and metallic black on Black Frieza, two colors of gold on Golden, possibly purple on Cooler.

Why i assume Frieza is covered in armor and isnt nude? Its based on Frieza's other forms, where same white skin appears as bracelets and chestplate. It is also worth noting that body gems Frieza is known for only do grow on said bio armor as it is case with devolved forms of Frieza and Kuriza, also with Cold and Cooler. Frieza does shown posessinv pink skin underneath the armor so id only naturally assume white skin is second layer. Tho, it is also worth noting that when Friexa transforms from previous forms to 4th, he shatters into pieces, as if true form is sealed within devolved forms, assuming, that pink skin is most likely an outer layer on its own.

It is still unknown what purpose gems serve. More about it on planet deepdive.

Now! Onto other forms, starting with 100%. No. Its not a form, but rather a body state high ki fighters can achieve, including Super saiyan grade 3 and Cell.

Golden form/5th evolution. From Golden Frieza arc we learn that Frieza did picked golden form to show who is superior, assuming, he indeed designed form itself. It also explains why Cooler' 5th form looks so vastly different. Why is that?

Its mostly due to their mentality. Cooler always had an inferiority complex, disliking his brother's achievements, as his father does acknowledge Frieza as superior. Unlike Frieza, Cooler did trained, since he acknowledges the instant transmission technique, using it himself, assuming he unlocked form after training on various planets. His form is massive and probably was plannet to be used on Frieza, since Cooler never shown it to anyone else and probably had before Frieza' defeat. It also shows his desire to be stronger, more intimitading and bigger, showing his inferiority side. Unlike Frieza, who only shown off himself more with golden form, who wasnt much different from his true state, mimicking one color he could not defeat. Who was stronger than strongest. Super saiyan. Frieza probably took gold to own it, to show that this color of defeat will be his color of victory. Only negative trait he got rid off with Black form, accepting his true self. Same acceptance also appears during first form.

Now to lesser forms.

Third, being the first, was the very first time Frieza sealed onto in itself, sealing his power. It is wild, beastlike, probably done in earlier ages. Instinctive vile nature manifested into monsterlike appearance, to scare off and look more imposing. It could also be due to Frieza' complex of being short, which he himself hates due to mocking. Looking scarier and bigger only makes sense. It is also possibly a trait shared with Frost, since Frost do mirror Frieza and probably as well needed sealing his power. But , unlike Frieza, Frost lacks it, probably never needing it or trained enough to control himself. It is also lacks on Kuriza, who may have been less peaceful kid or never let allowed to have said form. Or maybe never uses it, not liking.

It is also possible third form is Frieza specific, due to how maliceful he was. Frost could simply mirror him.

Second form, second seal. Probably based off Cold, since Frieza does admire his papa, who was leader of strongest army before Frieza, someone most feared. Frieza mimimcking him and basing off power on Cold makes sense, since he does mimicking with superior also with gold.

Now, about Cold. Its highly unlikely Cold has a form stronger than his existing state. We cannot be sure if Cold even has other forms. It may be simply decorative to look bigger and above everyone, since it is tremendously strong. 40 million power level, unlike 1 million of second form. And yet, he still acknowledges Frieza at 60 milliion (true form) to be stronger than him. And when mecha Frieza died at 120 million, Cold simply cowarded and was ready to adopt Trunks for being strong only to sneak attack with blade. Its more of a bluff form with Cold and i doubt he has stronger form. Frost on other hand, lacks this form, probably either skipping it or lacking Cold figure to based it off, only having third under "assault form" name.

As for first form, third seal, Frieza probably accepted his own identity and based it off himself, saving traits he inherited from Cold form. So he is admired and be feared of for being himself, rather than being father's shadow. It is also shared by Kuriza and Frost. Kuriza probably based it off Frieza, his daddy, while Frost probly wanted to be a face of a hero that would br like him himself.

As for mecha, it is just mechanically updated Frieza that uses his full power without powering up.

And no. Metal cooler is not a form. It is an avatar Cooler built after becoming one with Big Gete Star.

I'm hyped for this game!

(I was supposed to post this like 2 weeks ago & didn't. Gonna post it now even tho some new information has came out.)

I wanted a game where there are what-if scenarios. But my idea was that it completely altered the story. Idk if Sparking Zero will do that tho. Probably to a lesser extreme than what I thought.

WHAT IF SCENARIOS:

I made this and didn't post it. Then more info came out that kinda confirmed some of what I speculated.

But with scenarios like this??? Goku refuses help from Piccolo so Krillin follows Goku to fight Raditz (Battle of Z did that scenario too). Krillin was gonna go help Goku too even tho he knew he sould likely die. And if Goku refused Piccolo's help, of course Krillin would go help his bro save Gohan.

Krillin fought Freeza in his 1st, 2nd, & final forms. Final Form Freeza was far stronger than Krillin. Goku was closer to Freeza in strength but still weaker. Yet Krillin hung in there against Freeza & even almost killed 2nd form Freeza with a Kienzan. Goku & Krillin could realistically team-up against Raditz & win (with help from Gohan) if they outsmart him along with outmaneuvering him with their synchronized Turtle School style.

I watched Dotodoya's videos & without spoiling too much... I was right, but with extra steps. And the characters were implemented well & the dialogue was interesting.

Then, we have a scenario where Krillin dies fighting against Oozaru Vegeta (he probably saved Goku from getting crushed) which makes Goku turns Super Saiyan during the Saiyan Saga.

Is this a result of Goku not dying against Raditz because Krillin helped defeat Raditz without Goku dying? If so, this means Goku never trained with King Kai, so Goku doesn't know the Kaio-Ken nor the Genki Dama. Krillin dies helping a weaker Goku sho doesn't have King Kai's techniques, then Goku gets more than enough power to defeat Vegeta by turning Super Saiyan. So, some scenarios may actually change the story more than we think.

How would this effect the Freeza Saga? @dragon-ball-meta has a good answer.

My thoughts are that changes in one saga have to be course corrected in the next saga.

Oozaru Vegeta kills Krillin

Goku turns SSJ & defeats Vegeta

SSJ Goku spares Vegeta & mocks him by saying Vegeta lost to a low-class Saiyan (like how SSJ Goku spared then mocked Freeza for being defeated by a Saiyan)

Krillin, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, & Yamcha go train with King Kai (maybe they learn Kaio-Ken & the Genki Dama instead since Goku has SSJ)

Depending on if Piccolo survived the battle against the Saiyans, perhaps he & Gohan accompany Goku to Namek

Vegeta is on Namek too and tries to become a Super Saiyan by trying to be like Goku (and trying to be more like Goku what Vegeta does after the Cell Saga & is why Vegeta became a kinder person)

The Namekian Dragon Balls are used to wish Krillin back to life, Chaotzu back to life, then Namekian Dragon Balls become inert before they can make a 3rd wish (or Piccolo is wished back if he is dead)

Over the battles, Goku gets stronger and learns how to turn SSJ when facing Freeza instead of using Kaio-Ken & Goku believes he killed Freeza

Once back on Earth, the Dragon Balls are used to resurrect Yamcha & Tien along with those killed on the day the Saiyans attacked

Now at the start of the Cell Saga, everything is pretty much reset to how it was supposed to be, but Goku might fight Mecha Freeza & King Cold on Earth as Future Trunks watches then delivers a grave warning

This outcome may even result in Vegeta being a kinder person earlier than in canon & him teaching Trunks his new technique, then we get a Father-Son Final Flash

(The arena is still there, so maybe Vegeta takes Goku's offer to fight Cell first, then Trunks hops in to help Vegeta survive against Cell)

Goku sacrifices himself when Cell is about to self-destruct, thus the Saga ends how it did canonically & then we go into the Buu Saga. Then Goku can learn the Kaio-Ken & Genki Dama from King Kai during the 7 years between the Cell Saga & the Buu Saga

So, if there were major alterations in the Cell Saga, the Buu Saga would restore things back to "normal" depending on the altered scenarios. Or at least those are my thoughts/hopes. This game could have tons of replay value. The type of DB game that I always wanted!

CHARACTER POV:

There is also something about the story following from the pov of 8 characters.

More info came out. You can watch scenes normally or switch to watch them from the POV of the character available for the scene. We see this in a trailer when Goku is using Instant Transmission to move Cell from Earth. We also see this 1st person POV when Piccolo uses a Special Beam Cannon on Raditz & Goku.

I think it will be, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Future Trunks, Tien, Yamcha. We already saw some events from Goku's POV during the Saiyan Saga & Cell Saga.

However, there are two POVs I want to see... 👀

I'm joking lol 😅 (kinda 👀). But, I bet we could see everyone get defeated from Krillin's perspective, then when 18 kisses him.

OTHER THINGS I WONDER ABOUT & HOPE FOR:

The story for Super Hero will be fun. That will mainly be a Piccolo POV. I wonder what changes could be made too. Will there be an option to request the help of 17? What will the fight against Cell Max be like? Can you choose who to play as during the battle between Gohan & Piccolo?

And the unlockable costumes? All the different costumes from DB to DBS plus the Super Hero & Daima DLC will be so cool! I wonder if you can mix some costumes up. Like give Krillin his DBS hair while he is in his Buu Saga outfit.

I'm excited for certain team attacks too. The main one being K18's team attack they did during the Tournament of Power. And interesting enough, 18 didn't form this pink energy attack, Krillin did. So maybe he would have to be on her team for there to be this special team attack.

I hope we get other cool team attacks. Like Roshi performing a Kamehameha with his students, a 17 & Krillin team attack, Videl & Gohan, Vegeta DBS & Future Trunks DBS, Goku & Krillin spiral Kamehameha (from DBS EP 76). And I hope we get get special animations for finishers like 18 vs Giant Ribrianne.

So why not add other things from the DBS anime continuity? Most of the character designs & techniques of the characters are from the DBS anime continuity.

Full Power Jiren who is shirtless aint in the manga

Kakunsa's attacks aren't in the manga, I don't recall Max Power Roshi being in the manga

SSBK isn't in the manga

Certain orb attacks that Beerus has is anime exclusive

God of Destruction Toppo is anime exclusive (I'm sure that will get a reveal too)

Bergamo & his team attack with his brothers is anime exclusive

SSJ2 Kefla's attack is anime exclusive

Spirit Sword Future Trunks is anime exclusive

The halo behind Fused Zamasu & the ki bird thing he creates is anime exclusive

Corrupted Fused Zamasu is anime exclusive

Alot of the supers and ultimate come from the DBS anime (like DBS 17's attacks).

The Gamma Burst Flash for SSB Vegeta is from the DBS manga continuity.

The very end of Krillin's Ultimate Attack is the Super Destructo Disk & to me it resembles the big Kienzan he uses against Cell Max. (This move will look so cool on Cell Max!)

I'd like to see an option to give Krillin his attacks from DBS as interchangeable supers; Solar Flare ×100 which would blind the opponent & make it so that they cannot lock on to Krillin for a few seconds even is they turn the camera to see him. An attack where he throws his stinky shoe at his opponent then blasts them with a Kamehameha. And I would really love it if they give Krillin his Non-Self State power as a power-up similar to Kaio-Ken for base Goku (early & mid), Kaio-Ken for Super Saiyan Blue Goku, & Golden Freeza powering up to True Golden Freeza. They could call it "Dormant Potential" or something & it gives Krillin a buff, a different aura, & slightly changes his combat.

So, there is a chance Krillin could get his power-up from DBS EP 76 as a sort of Kaio-Ken type of techniques. I just hope it happens since I'm a huge Krillin fan 🤞

DBS MANGA CHARACTERS:

It's probably unlikely for DBS manga exclusive characters to make the roster. Unless its a DLC then maybe we could get Moro, Merus, Gas, Granolah. Which would be the first time they make an appearance in a game. We already have Vegeta's Gamma Burst Flash from the manga's Tournament of Power Saga & Future Trunks using Solar Flare like he did in the nanga. So these characters could be on the way if they aren't on the main roster.

I doubt there will be a "True Ultra Instinct" because that is just convoluted & pointless. Probably no susanoo Ultra Instinct Goku either. If it is in the game, maybe its a DLC super move to give Goku a Giant form. Then ppl could do Susanoo Goku vs Oozaru Vegeta.

I feel like Ultra Ego could be possible IF they do a manga DLC or make a poll for characters that players want to have in the game. I personally dislike the design of UE, but that's just me. I dislike the lack of eyebrows that SSJ3 has. I like the design of Ultra Supervillain Vegeta from Xenoverse 2 better than Ultra Ego. Anyway, what would Ultra Ego Vegeta's moveset be? His Ultimate would be a giant Hakai ball, a technique that is similar to super armor where getting his amplifies his strength... Stuff like that I guess. Some melee attacks from the manga as a super too.

GT & DBZ MOVIE CHARACTERS:

Idk if there will be GT & Z Movie characters this time in the base roster. But I feel like GT has to be included at some point. I just believe DBZ through DBS will be the main focus for characters & story. The Main Continuity is DB, DBZ, & DBS (and probably Daima too) while GT is a separate continuity that includes Z Movie characters. But I feel like they have to include SSJ4 Gogeta & Z Broly at some point. They are too iconic to the series and to the Budokai games.

Part XI(Finale) - Evolution

(Gohan & Sym Part XI[Finale])

Part IX(Finale) - Sym's Evolution:

In Sym's mind, only one bit of Cell remained, who is back to his Perfect Cell form because Sym was born from him, not Almighty Cell who had his memories & was created with the remains of the Larve & Cell Jr pieces. Perfect Cell aimed to take over his body & tried to use Sym's Obsidian form to fight him, but Sym is beyond that.

There was no fight. Sym had 2 choices, either destroy Cell once & for all, or absorb him. Either way he'd be completely gone from his consciousness. Sym chose to absorb him, telling his father that he'll never be like him.

Meanwhile, Sym's body starts to be covered in an orb(like Frieza during his transformations in Budokai 3), it cracks & he emerges. Sym evolved.

Just like Omni-Cell, no more insect features, Sym looks more like a Saiyan but with his father's resemblance, but he has bird-like features(because of Toriyama. His last name partly means bird). The battle is done, Sym is a new ally to the Z-Fighters & the battle inspired Gohan to keep up with his training.

Sym does the same under Piccolo, their dynamic truly becomes like father & son. Sym took on the purple Gi, but Piccolo gave him the weighted armor. Sym wants to gain his own power. He still has SSJ, but forms after that are similar, but with bird puns(including Platinum, which he currently can't use again). He even sparred with Tien & Yamcha, seeing Ultra Riyō for the 2nd time and realized they couldve jumped & killed him if he was evil.

Before that, he feels like he owes 17 & 18. He went to Capsule Corp, asked(politely. Uub & Cabba are polite & Gohan before them, that seems to be a thing with these students) Bulma for a place to rebuild 16.

Sym has Cell's memories & Gero's but partly. One ability that stood out was Sym reading minds far beyond what Goku could do. He sees memories, which is how he was caught up on the Earth's DB Super events(up to the Moro Saga) & God Ki. He saw Andriod 21's memories when she was Vomi, and he saw 17 & 18's memories of 16.

So Sym pieced together 16's memories enough. The body he made for him is BioMechanical like him, Cell and 17 & 18. Not fully machine like before & it also has Sym's Saiyan & Namekian genes.

It took 2 days for 16 to wake up & he was pissed because he remembers everything. Including the Cell Jrs. Sym had to talk him down & stop a fight from happening in Bulma's lab. After everything's explained, 16 calms down & let Sym finish making his new armor. Which comes from data on Vegeta's RoF armor that Bulma made.

Sym gives 16 an actual name, Shin Gevo. They go to see 18, Gevo's reunited with Krillin & 18, and he basically becomes an Uncle to Marron. The two visit MVP 17 next, and Gevo's proud of 17 becoming a Park Ranger, which he intends to help him with. But he definitely has to train, test his new strengths.

(Also, when it comes to this What-If, Super Hero doesn't change much. Except Cell Max had more time to cook, Sym didn't know Gero had other Kin, Sym & Gevo meet Dr Hado, see that he isn't evil, and Cell Max whoops Sym, who tried to use his Platinum form again but cant. And Sym called Cell Max a cheap knock-off of his father).

Sym will return in Rakshasa's Reincarnation(where Cell & 21 will also return, in Hell), and after that, The Cold King's Fury.

No joke, I got other What-Ifs planned. Earthlings Rise will keep going, and I'll finish Namek Prime first. Just three characters though, not tons of transformations. So that shouldnt be a huge project like this one, but it might.

Specifically, the points about Complexity and Arcs of Transformation.

Framing this advice as this post does, specifically "Gone are the days of one-dimensional villains twirling mustaches and cackling maniacally", either fundamentally misunderstands or just chooses to completely ignore the value in writing a flat-arc villain.

(Flat arc protagonists are valuable as well, but that's a different discussion)

What is a flat arc, you might ask? To put it simply (and to paraphrase K. M. Weiland), a flat arc character is not one whose purpose is to change and evolve over the course of the story. They are a character who has already learned "the truth" at the start of the story.

Now, Weiland talks in this article about flat character arcs as applied to protagonists, but villains can just as easily benefit from such an arc. The point of a flat-arc character is not for them to change, it is for them to use their Truth to effect change in the world around them.

To keep it super simple (and to paraphrase TotallyNotMark's great video analyzing Frieza), Frieza is an amazing and memorable villain largely because he is gleefully, unsympathetically evil. He knows that what he's doing is "wrong" by the standards of the people he harms or kills, and not only does he not care, he delights in rubbing his power and untouchability in the faces of those he oppresses.

As such, he is an amazing catalyst for growth in the characters around him. It's been a while since I went through Dragon Ball, but off the top of my head:

Nail fights and loses, and as a result realizes that he stands no chance. He chooses to give up his life and sync with Piccolo to grant him more power.

Gohan (who, admittedly, was already on a bit of a change arc to begin with) finds himself pushed into a corner and courageously rises to the occasion, going toe-to-toe with 2nd form Frieza where just one arc ago, he was frozen with fear when he had a chance to attack Nappa

Vegeta pushed himself to his limits to gain more power in an attempt to defeat Frieza, and then was left broken and defeated when he learned there were greater depths to Frieza's power

And there are certainly more to be unpacked in his various other appearances in the series (King Vegeta going from a haughty warrior king to subservient lackey, for example), but that should suffice.

Essentially, the flat-arc villain is simple to allow for greater complexity elsewhere in the story, in the characters they interact with. While there is certainly a place for complex villains who undergo change arcs, to dismiss the flat-arc villain as simply a cartoonish, childish construct is foolish.

The Villain Checklist!

Creating a villain is a delicate art, much like crafting a masterpiece. To ensure your antagonist leaps off the page with depth, consider these essential elements for your villain checklist:

Motivation: Every great villain is driven by a potent motivation, one that fuels their actions and sets them on their dark path. Explore their backstory and unearth the core reason behind their villainy. Are they seeking power, revenge, redemption, or something more sinister?

Complexity: Gone are the days of one-dimensional villains twirling mustaches and cackling maniacally. Infuse your antagonist with layers of complexity and nuance. Perhaps they possess redeeming qualities or wrestle with inner conflicts that humanize their actions.

Flaws and Vulnerabilities: Despite their nefarious intentions, villains should be flawed beings with vulnerabilities. These weaknesses not only add depth to their character but also create opportunities for conflict and growth throughout your story.

Backstory: Delve into your villain's past to uncover formative experiences that shaped their present disposition. Trauma, betrayal, or societal pressures can all contribute to their descent into villainy, providing rich narrative fodder for exploration.

Goals and Ambitions: Just as heroes strive for noble objectives, villains pursue their own twisted goals with fervor and determination. Define what your antagonist hopes to achieve and the lengths they're willing to go to attain it, even if it means sacrificing everything in their path.

Antagonistic Traits: From cunning intellect to ruthless brutality, equip your villain with traits that make them a formidable adversary for your protagonist. Consider how their strengths and weaknesses complement each other, creating dynamic conflicts that propel your story forward.

Relationships and Alliances: Villains don't operate in isolation; they forge alliances, manipulate allies, and cultivate relationships to further their agendas. Develop the connections your antagonist shares with other characters, be they loyal minions or reluctant collaborators, to add depth to their character dynamics.

Moral Justification (from their perspective): While their actions may be abhorrent to society, villains often believe they're justified in their pursuits. Explore your antagonist's moral code and the twisted logic that rationalizes their behavior, offering readers insight into their twisted worldview.
