AITA for giving my friend the means to die?

I (???NB) am (was?) good friends with an unspecified other person (???M), who we'll call P. We had dedicated our lives to working on the same problem, although I am older than him, and as such acted as a bit of a mentor figure for quite a while. Not too long ago an event crucial to our task (I'll spare you the details) suddenly occurred--yet left us with more questions than answers.

Many theories formed following this event. P, however, firmly believed just one--that this was evidence that the solution to our problem was death itself.

Now, I do not believe there is much of a solution. We're just bugs in mazes, after all, running around until we potentially stumble on something by chance, which I doubt we will. But P was so firm in his belief and seemed so desperate... I will be the first to admit that even before the... incidents, I enabled and even encouraged him.

People like us are not designed to die. It is not in our nature. But eventually, I did find a way--or, not to die, but to remove that which prevents us from dying. I did not attempt it myself, of course; it is a dangerous and intensive process. But I did create a messenger (approx. 2NB) to deliver the instructions to P--I could not send them online, due to the nature of the information, and I could not deliver them myself, due to my own nature. The information was delivered safely, and I thought little of it--until it came out that P had shut off all communications and was using the vast majority of the resources shared between him and his sister, M (???F), and a certain someone (???unspecified) leaked images of his state. He had clearly attempted the process and made a terrible mistake--a mistake that I fear will be the death of both him and M. I sent my messenger after him again, but he--he was so angry...

I have lost sight of my messenger, and I cannot help but wonder: AITA?

Hi! Just out of curiousity, how many bombshells will be added?

The ratio as it starts seems to be 4F (5 in my playthrough with MC), 2NB, 3M, with adding Vanessa, that brings it to 5F, 2NB, and 3M not including MC. Is this ratio something that will be addressed?

I don't personally care that much, as I'll have characters to romance regardless, but just seems like something I'd be confused about as a viewer of a reality show, if it doesn't get addressed at all.

There will be 19 ROs, 10 total bombshells. Without including MC, it'll be 9 women, 7 men and 3 non-binary people.

In regards to the rest of your ask, I'm not actually sure what you'd be confused about or how you'd want it to be addressed - none of these characters care that much about who they're with, so they're not really going to bring it up except as a passing comment.

(I get if you're a straight woman, this might affect how much you want to play this game, but 7 ROs is still quite a bit of choice)

🐾 I will be honest, writing descriptions for all of these songs is taxing and I'm running out of interesting details to talk about, so, probably until later on, these descriptions will likely be sparse for a while (if you're following the uploading of this album, that is). 🐾 For example, this song: The main focus for this song was the pan flute line that I'd created years ago, back when I was still working on my iPod Touch on Xewton Music Studio because that program had a good pan flute sound. Unfortunately, past the melody, I had no clue what I should do with it, so the melodic line actually went through a few different songs before landing on this, what I can only describe as world music-style song. There's a song on my SoundCloud named "Change" that uses the same melodic line and I believe was made in Music Studio but wasn't as fully developed as this one. "Expedition" was included in this album because it's been through years of development before I could consider it completed. So, here it is. Something completely different from what I would usually do. A "change", if you will.
