1. wow the phillies really crumbled didn't they. i think i'd be more upset about it if the writing hadn't been on the wall, the bye was never gonna work for us. a team that struggled batting and pitching the first two weeks and the two weeks after all stars was never gonna survive having a pre-post-season break. post-season doesn't give you two weeks to adjust. i hustled to get the clinch fic out because i could feel it in my stomach, and there was no scenario where i would finish writing it now, you know? oh well. now it's time to switch gears, the san jose sharks would never do this to me. (a team that can't make the playoffs also can't lose in the playoffs)

2. i've been thinking about making another ao3 account. for visual stuff. in my grand dreams i recommit to my old more traditional hobbies but realistically i suppose it would be a way to post moodboards or edits or whatever to ao3 collections. i think relearning how to draw and paint and whatever would be nice, but it feels far out to me. i should start closer. more realistic. either way i wanna do more visually creative stuff, i've been doing other things lately and i'd hate to get really rusty.

3. changed my phone bg from bryson and trea to 2ne1. you know, for the winter. trying to convince myself it's not a reactionary move, the baseball bgs were just really summery and i wanted change for the fall and winter, but didn't wanna change them before the season was over. love just my girls. tomorrow i'm gonna watch a bunch of fancams from the concert i think. remember when fancam meant a fan recorded video of a performance? i don't know what the fuck happened. i don't know what fandom took a thing the kpop fans were doing and changed the definition of it entirely. baffles me to this day.

4. i've been fiddling with the 52 weeks sequel a lot again, i think working on something that i know where it's going and i have a lot of plans and notes for but no concrete deadline or pressing need to get out there is really nice. im trying to figure out what the scope is, if i wanna go over the original timeline. because i do have scenes past it, i have notes spanning years past it, but i don't know how far i'm trying to get with the sequel and if it's something that's gonna get a third and fourth and fifth parts. i haven't really thought about it that hard. and if i decide it's the sequel, for the original "duration" and nothing else, what am i gonna do with all the stuff i've already written and planned out? i don't know.

Introduction of Sorts + Interests

This page will really be for me to get back into writing, develop my writing and indulge myself. I’m open to requests though but ask people to definitely contextualize your Bias (person you’re requesting for—yes I’m gonna use K-pop lingo oh well) and/or the scenario cause otherwise I’d simply write for myself. **the long story short and overall caveat of why I’ve fallen out of love for groups and K-pop are the fact that yeah as a Black person I genuinely started getting pissed off with colorism, n-word usage, appropriation, and mockery. The shit gets old and as a poor old super fan I’m happy I didn’t spend the money people do for folks who would literally refuse my hand…🫤 be fr. Likewise, the deaths of idols who were literally my biases really (of course) bothered me and took a toll on my enjoyment of the genre too. The more you love it the more you learn and that’s usually where the fun ends and now it’s numbers charts and placements. Lame 😭. I let the time I was fan be that but otherwise ? 2022 kpop recap

in light of the new year I've decided to talk all by favourite releases/groups that either came out this year ( I've also included songs i discovered  this year), i won’t be  including  any releases I've already reviewed. in no particular order.

catch & release-H1 KEY: i found this song like a couple months ago and i love it so much, the only way i can describe is if ITZY released flip a coin by BILLIE, it’s so good.

shakalaka - dal shabat: this song is sooo good i love the instrumental it  sounds glittery. i wish there were performance videos because i really wanna see the choreography.

forever 1 - SNSD: this song is so amazing, i already have a soft spot for group reunions but this song slaps, i feel like if you enjoyed queendom by red velvet or scientist and TTT by twice this song is right up your alley. also whoever was responsible for the final chorus deserves a raise for  the pure amount of emotion in her voice.

designer nct 127: i love this song so much it’s so nice, i love R&B so much anyway but SM’s producers  really understand the genre.

copycat - APINK CHOBOM: the vibes this song have are immaculate, there's something so nostalgic about it.

AOA: I've listened to AOA casually  but i recently decided to check out their Bsides and they have so many good ones, my recommendations are: cherry pop, super duper, 10 seconds and short hair(which isn’t a b side but still bangs)

to be honest it is older than blackpink

like YG always had a strong identity and the groups always seems like a carbon copy of each other - and they sell it like that too

like how bobby and mino are alike, how blackpink is the next 2ne1 (back then) and it is just not hitting

they dont build a new identity or a new concept out of laziness, in ikon case hanbin managed to create a different sound for the group once in a while esp love scenario but really the company is just the worst example of the idea of manufacturing an idol group

which is like very :/ because i only saw the debut and all the members are so well trained, and they even have a strong presence/charisma, which is something i always nitpick with debut groups

anyway black pink have a strong fanbase mainly because they love the members bc yg just do not give the music and promotions and i am afraid the same will happen to babymonster :/

Soooo, YG finally debut BabyMonster...

Congrats to the girls, they did great BUT

YG could have made so much more out of this debut song...

To me the track sounds bland, empty, the beat is the same through the entire song and way to much like blackpink in some parts...

“A morning coffee in my own home, nothing sounds better than that.”

You leaned across and pressed a kiss against the tip of her nose before pushing the duvet off of your body, standing up from the bed. Chaerin watched you closely as you grabbed your shirt and placed it over your head, feeling the chill as soon as you left the bed.

“Splash of milk and two sugars,” she called out as you made your way out of the room, winking as she caught your eye as you left the room.

In just a matter of moments, you returned to the bedroom with two steaming mugs of coffee in your hands, handing one across to Chaerin as she sat up in the bed, placing the other one on your bedside table as you slid back in underneath the duvet beside her too.

“It feels nice to just spend the day in bed,” you spoke as you laid back against the frame of the bed, “we could literally do nothing all day.”

Her head nodded in agreement with you as she tucked herself into your side, with your arm moving to wrap around her shoulders. A sigh of content came from Chaerin as she got comfortable, relaxing against your shoulder as her eyes slowly closed again.

“I’ve missed just being here with you,” she whispered, snuggling further into your side, “I never realise how much I miss mornings like these until I have one, I just wish that they came about a little more often than they have done recently, this comeback has taken it out of me.”

Your hand moved through her hair once again, “you’ve worked so hard, and the success of it all just proves that. The early mornings have definitely been worth it, although I’m not complaining about having you home.”

You could only admire the effort that Chaerin went to when it came to her recent comeback, even if you were by yourself for most of the time. You were constantly waking up alone, or coming home to an empty house, with her appearing right at the end of your evening.

She hated being away from you too and feeling as if she wasn’t a good enough partner when you needed her to be around. The most important thing for her was your support though, even if she wasn’t able to always see you in person.

“I just want to lay here forever, I’ve made up my mind,” she informed you with a chuckle.

Your head shook back down at Chaerin as she spoke, pressing a kiss against the top of her head. Although eventually something would interrupt you both, just like it always did, you were glad to enjoy the moment, even if it was just for the day.

“Is there anything else that you want to do today?” You asked her softly.

“Spend time with you,” Chaerin instantly responded, “there’s nothing else that I want to do other finally be able to just spend a day with you with nothing else to do too.”

“That sounds good to me,” you encouraged, “it’s been a while since we had time like this together.”

Chaerin’s head slowly tilted back so that her eyes could look up at you, slowly opening them up. “I bet it must feel nice for you to wake up with some company too, I can’t begin to imagine how lonely mornings must have been for you recently.”

Although you didn’t mind being by yourself in the mornings when Chaerin was so busy, you couldn’t deny that you adored having her with you. It was the little things you missed, the conversation, the warmth, and above all else, the smile that woke you up.

“I’ve got the whole week off, and I don’t plan on getting out of bed before midday on all seven of those days,” Chaerin added.

“I’ve got no complaints about that suggestion,” you smiled back at her, reaching across to pick up your mug, taking a small sip from it to check how warm it was.

When you nodded, Chaerin reached across to pick her mug up too, resting back into your side once again whilst also making sure that she was upright enough to be able to drink her coffee. Her hands were tight around the mug, embracing the chance to even be able to drink her coffee in the comfort of her own home, rather than in the back of a car on the way to the studio.

“Everything about this just feels so right,” Chaerin whispered after taking a few sips of her coffee, “there really is no place quite like home, is there?”

Despite all of the places that she travelled to, the wonders of the world that she got to see, no place compared to home with you. Although she’d been to some incredible spots, her favourite was only ever being tucked up in bed with you.

“I don’t think there is any place better than being here, with the rest of the world just shut out,” you mused in reply, “we’re the only people that matter here.”

“I love it that way,” Chaerin agreed, “I’d like to keep it that way.”

You smiled down at her as she settled back into your side with her coffee finished, “if only we could really keep things that way, just the two of us.”

“Don’t tempt me,” she sniggered as your hand moved back through her hair, “some mornings I wanted to just ring up management and tell them to cancel my schedule because I just wanted to stay in bed, tucked up with you.”

“And now you get the chance to do that,” you reminded her.

The smile on her face instantly grew, “remind me of one thing Y/N, never let me take for granted my mornings with you ever again.”

Your head nodded in reply, “it’s not even just the morning that we get to spend together today, we’ve got the whole day just to do absolutely nothing.”

“I’ve waited for the chance to do this for so long,” she whispered, moving her arm around your waist, “I’m determined to make the most of it.”

You leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of her head, “we’ll have the best day doing absolutely nothing, how does that sound?”

“Perfect, it sounds absolutely perfect.”

"I can’t believe it... Unnie!" Minah said as soon as she opened the door of the small cafeteria. 

CL got up with a huge smile and opened her arms so she could give Minah a big and warm hug, just like the old times.  

"You're looking so beautiful and grown." CL said caressing Minah's hair. "What are they feeding you on that jail?" 

Laughing, Minha sat on the chair next to her. 

When CL messaged Minah inviting her to their traditional coffee time on the same cafe they used to go when Minah was still a trainee, Minah didn't think twice about accepting it. 

CL was Minah's biggest inspiration inside YGE, and since when she left, even though Minha knew about everything, she was sad that they wouldn't be able to meet as much as they did. 

But with the news that she was finally back in Korea, Minah couldn't reject the call.  

"So, what are we having?" Minah asked, looking at the menu. 

"Are you allowed to drink?" CL asked, and Minah nodded. "Never mind, I'm not ready to see you drinking yet." 

"Oh, unnie!" Minah whined fakely. "Not even wine?" 

"You drink wine?" CL exclaimed. "You can't drink wine. You're fifteen." 

Minah laughed and called the waiter. Once he noted their order and took the menu, he left the place, leaving the two alone again. 

"I've heard the news." Minah said. "I got goosebumps when I saw the Post Up video." 

CL smiled at Minah, shrugging her shoulders and cleaning some unexistent dust on it. 

"I only do my job, Minah." she said convinced, and Minah giggled. "But talking about comebacks, you guys are on fire! I loved the 'Monalisa kinda Minah' thing." 

Minah felt her cheeks blushing and hide her face with her hands, whining. CL laughed with her action and caressed Minah's arm. 

"Ya, don't be shy!" CL teased her. "Now, tell me, how's life going?"

"Stressed." Minah said in a breathe. "Stressed and busy. That's my life right now." 

"It must suck be one of the greatest idols in the world, uh?" CL said, and Minah laughed.

"I should be the one saying this to you, Chaelin." she said. 

The waiter came in again, placing their dishes and wine glasses in front of them. As he poured the wine, Minah took her polaroid camera off her purse and put it on the table. 

"Should we take a picture before eating?" Minah suggested, and CL nodded. 

Asking the man to do this favour to them, CL got up and went closer to Minah, hugging her torso behind the chair as Minah leaned back on her chest. The man took the picture and handed the camera back to CL - who gasped when she saw the result. 

"What?" Minah frowned thinking that was something wrong with the picture. 

"We have a picture exactly like this one." CL said showing Minah the picture and Minah smiled, knowing the picture she was talking about, the picture they took just a couple weeks before Minah's debut, in that same cafe. 

The only difference is that now even though it didn't seem like, they were two completely different people. 

"Minah-ssi," CL called Minah's attention. "before I get too drunk, can I say something to you?" 

"Of course, unnie." Minah said, cutting a piece of her meat and eating it. 

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm really proud of the woman you became." CL started with a weak smile. "I always believed in you, even when everything started to fall apart, I had high hopes they would do things right with you." 

"Unnie, we don't have to talk about this." Minah said, trying not to ruin the mood. 

"No, that's okay..." Chaelin said. "I know it's really awkward for me to say this, but don't let them do with you and your members what they did to me and my girls. You deserve the world. All of you." 

Minah pressed CL's hand and beamed at her, looking into her eyes. There was nothing Minah could say to her, so she was happy when CL took the lead and took a whole glass of wine at once.

Again the alcohol did its thing and both ended up in the girl's office fucking on her desk. The two began a friendship after multiple outings in which Yifan taught her his origin country or reviewed their lines for the series. As soon as she saw him, Dara found him attractive so she didn’t complain when one day they had to practice a kiss and he touched her ass, it was accidentally and the boy apologized multiple times with his face redder than a tomato, breaking his image of bad boy, though his face turned two shades darker when she took his hand and placed it back on her ass and then kissed him. He had grown up listening to her songs and being a fan of hers, in fact it was her who had given him the idea of ​​being an idol so when he met her in Mix & Match he almost fainted but that was a silly celebrity crush.
