Depth:

I am so glad to have meditated three different times yesterday. It has taken me the first two meditations from yesterday and a few more from the days before yesterday to return to my regular way of meditating. Last night’s meditation was my return to regularity of depth.

In the handful of sessions that weren’t of great quality, I was completing each of my routine meditational exercises. It is the strangest thing. When one begins one’s meditation journey, the only goal is to conduct one’s chosen routine without distraction.

Till a point in one’s inward journey, the goal to complete the meditation routine is aspirational. After one finds one’s attention in the subconscious mind, the aspirational value of the sincere goal begins reducing. By the time one arrives at experiencing meditation phenomenon in the intuitive mind, achieving the goal of routine becomes a clear sign of shallow depth of mind during meditation.

In the shallow, there is restlessness. The deeper one gets inward, the greater is the experience of stilling Peace. As a result of experiencing rising Peaceful life energies, one’s mind can be stilled to the point one can hear sounds in the head.

During last night’s meditation, I heard a new sound. Since it is just one meditation that I have heard it in, I don’t feel too confident about writing about it. I’ll have to experience the new sound repeatedly in my new phase of phenomenon-meditation, for me to begin talking about it.

With the new meditation sound heard, I am sure that I am in a growing phase of my practice. No matter how subtle the growth, I know now that I will now advance some more. There is still so much ground for me to cover as a meditator.

Today's update: My mother, not only have throat cancer, it has also spread to her brain. Throat and brain cancers. Going to see her tomorrow for further update, plans and comfort.

I hate this. I am going to spend more time with my mother because she may have not long to live. And thank you for listening guys.

It's shit knowing that feeling that me and my children are likes the only ones that are not sick, jabbed or cancer-ridden in any way, and I don't know about the extended families - cos they're indoctrinated, and still believes with medicial experts advices and whatnot (most of my family members are from head nurse, nurses, doctors to paramedics.) Näyttelyn pehmeät veistokset, seinäkankaat ja kierrätysmateriaalia yhdistelevät teokset tarkastelevat humoristisella tavalla miehisyyttä, suomalaisuutta ja luontosuhdetta. Näyttelyn teokset on toteutettu pääasiassa villahuovuttamalla. Näyttely on esillä kesäkuun loppuun.

Ilai Elias Lehto (s.1988, Joensuu) on pohjoiskarjalainen kuvanveistäjärunoilija. Hän asuu Kangasalla ja työskentelee Tampereella.

Lehto toteuttaa veistoksellisia teoksia pääasiassa pehmeistä ja kierrätetyistä materiaaleista, sekoittaen kuvataiteen ja tekstiilikäsityön perinteitä ja tekniikoita. Hylättyjen tilojen ja poisheitetyn poetiikka, sekä kulutusyhteiskunnan laitamilla tapahtuva roskittuminen kiinnostavat häntä.
