Don't do overtime. don't do extra shifts. don't cover for others. say no. you will find another job/gig you will find a less stressful environment do not attach your self to the idea of being constantly busy and stressed because once you step out of that you'll see how much unnecessary pressure you've built for yourself. Immediately lose that colleague/friend who is always always always bitching about how much they hate the job/how stressed they are but won't quit. Negativity breeds negativity. Unless there is a guaranteed promotion/salary hike do not get pressured into going the extra mile because you see colleagues sending emails/working etc outside of work hours. They're inefficient - not hardworking. Make calculated moves only. That's being intelligent with your time and resources - not cunning. do not think everything will fall apart if you don't work your ass off because it won't. You ARE replaceable and so is the job that you think is indispensable
