The Gift of the Word (A Christmas Gift for You!)

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. (John 17:14)

How would you like to receive a gift from Jesus? Included in all that He has given us (forgiveness, reconciliation, promises, the Spirit, etc.) is the gift of the Word. This most precious gift reveals all of the other gifts, just like the key to the front door of a new house opens the way to see all that is in the house. Without the key, you will always be on the outside looking in!

Jesus is the Word made flesh, the Word that was sent to heal, deliver and save us. He manifested the Word, taught the Word and demonstrated the Word for three and a half years. At the end of His ministry He prayed to the Father and said, ‘I have given them Thy Word.’ His life before them was the Word made flesh.

He also revealed Himself in the Old Testament.

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. (Luke 24:27)

And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. (Luke 24:45)

The Word of God is Jesus’ gift to you! He wants you to comprehend the Scriptures and know Him. In the Bible you will find all of the blessings, promises and keys to the abundant life. Not only is Jesus the true revelation of God to man, the Word of God is the revelation of Jesus. You cannot know Jesus apart from His Word.

“these are WRITTEN that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” (John 20:30-31)

The mysteries of the Kingdom are revealed in the Word. The principles of abundant life are explained. The revelation of God’s love for you is unlocked. The Word is spiritual. It is alive with God’s life, authority, faith, healing power, grace and love. Don’t neglect the gift of the Word.

  Hammond Report December 25 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about playing my annual Christmas gig inside SF County Jail on 7th Street. I did it 12 years in a row, we can't do it nowadays unfortunately. I had the cooperation of SF Sheriff Michael Hennessey back in the day when Sheriff Hennessey was working with my friend District Attorney Terence Hallinan. It was great to bring music in for the folks there, progressive programs! A lot of bad news out there at this time, and today started off with an act of domestic terrorism with a bomb vehicle set off in Downton Nashville. Stay safe out there folks, remember to mask up in public, I'll be back tomorrow with another Hammond Report, wishing everybody a Merry Christmas!

Masjid ini merupakan sebuah masjid berumur sangat tua yang didirikan pada tahun 1480 oleh Syarif Abdurrahman atau Pangeran Panjunan. Ia adalah seorang keturunan Arab yang memimpin sekelompok imigran dari Baghdad, dan kemudian menjadi murid Sunan Gunung Jati. Masjid Merah Panjunan terletak di sebuah sudut jalan di Kampung Panjunan, kampung dimana terdapat banyak pengrajin tembikar atau jun. Masjid Panjunan semula bernama mushala Al-Athya namun karena pagarnya yang terbuat dari bata merah menjadikan masjid ini lebih terkenal dengan sebutan Masjid Merah Panjunan. Awalnya masjid ini merupakan tajug atau Mushola sederhana, karena lingkungan tersebut adalah tempat bertemunya pedagang dari berbagai suku bangsa, Pangeran Panjunan berinisiatif membangun Mushola tersebut menjadi masjid dengan perpaduan budaya dan agama sejak sebelum Islam, yaitu Hindu – Budha. Masjid Merah Panjunan ini telah dimasukkan sebagai benda cagar budaya. ..... Menurut Carub Kandha dan beberapa catatan dari Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon Taman Air Goa Sunyaragi dibangun karena Pesanggarahan Nur Giri Saptarengga berubah fungsi menjadi tempat pemakaman Rajja-raja Cirebon yang kita kenal sekarang menjadi Astana Gunung Jati atau Gunung Sembung. Pada abad 15 berdiri pesanggrahan yang terletak disebelah barat bukit Amparan Jati bernama Nur Giri Saptarengga yang kemudian dikenal dengan sebutan Gunung Jati atau Gunung Sembung. Pesanggarahan ini juga dipergunakan untuk tempat memperdalam ilmu Agama Islam bahkan juga digunakan untuk penggemblengan fisik dan mental. Pada sekitar tahun 1483 Putri Ong Tien Nio salah seorang istri Sunan Gunung Jati dari Negeri Cina wafat dan dimakamkan di Gunung Sembung dekat dengan Pesanggrahan Nur Giri Saptarengga dan disebut Nyai Mas Laras Sumanding maksudnya tersanding oleh Sunan Gunung Jati. Pada sekitar tahun 1529 M Pangeran Cakrabuana wafat dan dimakamkan dekat makam Nyai Mas Laras Sumanding kemudian pada tahun 1586 M Sunan Gunung Jati juga wafat dan dimakamkan di Gunung Sembung sejajar dengan makam istrinya, terakhir raja-raja Cirebon dan keturunan Sunan Gunung Jati wafat dimakamkan di Gunung Sembung maka dengan demikian Nur Giri Saptarengga benar-benar berubah fungsi dan berubah sebutan menjadi Astana Gunung Jati atau Gunung Sembung dan resmi menjadi tempat pemakaman raja-raja Cirebon turun temurun hingga sekarang. Begitu pula dengan Syekh Syarief Hidayatullah mendapat sebutan Sunan Gunung Jati. Dengan keadaan seperti ini Cicit Sunan Gunung Jati yang bernama Pangeran Emas Zainul Arifin berinisiatif untuk membangun sebuah pesanggrahan baru untuk menggantikan Nur Giri Saptarengga yang sudah menjadi komplek pemakaman. Ide Pemikiran ini kemudian dirundingkan dengan Raden Sepat yang berasal dari Demak dan kepada Pangeran Losari sebagai arsitek pada jaman itu, kemudian sekitar abad 16 atas prakarsa Pangeran Emas Zainul Arifin atau Panembahan Ratu I dibangun pesanggrahan baru yang kemudian dinamai Taman Air Goa Sunyaragi. ........
