Howmhow - Platin
When it comes to converting measurements, understanding the relationship between different units is essential. One common conversion is from ounces to gallons. To convert ounces to gallons, it's important to know that 1 gallon is equivalent to 128 fluid ounces. Therefore, to convert any how many ounces in a gallon, simply divide the number of ounces by 128. For example, 2.67 ounces is equal to approximately 0.0208594 gallon [liquid]. This conversion is particularly useful when dealing with liquid volumes, such as in cooking or measuring liquids for various purposes. Having a conversion chart or cheat sheet can also be handy for quick reference. Another conversion that may come in handy is weeks to years. How many weeks in a year? To convert a measurement in weeks to a measurement in years, multiply the number of weeks by the conversion ratio of 0.019165 years/week. This conversion is useful when calculating time spans or determining someone's age in years based on the number of weeks. For example, if someone is 52 weeks old, they would be approximately 1 year old. Understanding this conversion can be helpful in various contexts, such as planning projects or tracking milestones. As the holiday season approaches, many people may wonder how many days until Christmas. The countdown to Christmas can be calculated by determining the number of days between the current date and Christmas Day. For example, if today is December 1st, there are 24 days until Christmas. Online calculators or countdown clocks can provide an accurate count of the remaining days. This countdown is often used to build excitement and anticipation for the holiday season, especially among children. It allows individuals to plan and prepare for festive celebrations and gift-giving. Additionally, knowing the exact number of days until Christmas can help with organizing schedules and completing tasks before the holiday arrives.

Scaretober Day 1: 10/1/24
Melodical Murder
La Habanera  erupted from an ancient record player, bouncing off the concrete walls, each increase in volume of the song a scream followed. As if a symphony reverberated through the ears of a rather jolly woman slinging a knife across the chest of a very unfortunate thug. Her face covered by an opal crescent mask, her eyes widened with glee.
“Oh dear, you’re already passing out?” Pulling his slouching form up from his hair it was matted. Reeking of blood and sweat.” Placing the blood stained knife onto a tray beside her, she sits right before her victim. Crossing her leg over her other, they were slender as most of her body was. An awfully weak looking thing, however her ferocity was not to be undermined. “Please…just kill me…I'm begging you.” Placing a gorgeously painted nail under her chin, her only visible eye looked up at the rafters of the warehouse they were in. “No…no not yet.”
“The best part of the song has yet to come on.” She hissed
Rising up from her chair, she trots over to her surgical stand and matching tray on top. She hesitates, puzzled which instrument of torment to pick. Her hand draws over her knife once more, deciding not too she reaches over.  A lovely pair of stainless steel pliers, picking them up she whips around swaying to the enchanting sound of her vinyl. “No…no please, get away from me.” She slams a heeled foot onto his knee, the very knee rapidly vibrating underneath her. Digging harder into his knee, the resistance ending she cups his head. Snatching up the matts in his hair, and pulling him back until his neck rested uncomfortably on the rusted metal chair.
Peering down she sways the set of pliers to the sway of the melody before ordering, “Open your mouth.”He stared up, her face ice cold with not a single ounce of all that joy from the music, he peered into the hole of the mask, the covered eye. “Fuck…You…YOU…CRAZY…FUCKING BITCH!” Stabbing the cold metal into his mouth she rubs the cold steel across his teeth, a few already missing probably from a few bar fights, or squabbles during adolescence.  She hovers over an incisor she waits for, the record skips, and skips until…
“Prends garde à toi”
Clasping to the tooth, she corscrews the plier back and forth slowly but with a tremendous amount of force. She grins, while he attempts to murmur sweet prayers to himself as she works. With the turns she could feel the flesh, its soft and tense meat worked against her.
“Si je t'aime, prends garde à toi”
She pulls away, his periodontal ligament stretching and stretching until it splits in two. The blood spurting from his wound splatters against her pencil skirt . It did not matter she ogled her prize, its blood soaked form was its own art, the mangled ligaments swayed with the few gusts that blew through.
The music came to a symphonious end and his end was following right after.
Reaching over, she snatches up a 1911 her fingers playfull caressing its woodgrain. She raises it up and fights back, but she elevates it regardless. Her smile, faded away “Au revoir.”
BANG!
His legs spring out, and his head goes slack over his shoulder, the crimson fluid cascading off his shoulder landing in an aggressive pattern against the cement floor.
“I didn’t realize you stained my favorite blouse.”

FINAL FANTASY XVI
Finished August 24
Tumblr media
This game is quite something. What is that something? I'm not really sure. This is how I generally feel about the game. Final Fantasy XVI is a game that doesn't do things terribly wrong, but is filled with weird choices in direction and is filled with missed potential. Or maybe not even that? They didn't shoot for the moon, but maybe for something much easier, like for the clouds.
The biggest oddity here is the extremely pointless 5 year time jump. It's weird. The time skip served absolutely no purpose to the narrative, gameplay, characters, or anything else. Developing characters off screen would've been bad, but somehow we're meant to believe they havent changed at all in the five years. That super apparent romantic tension between Clive and Jill? That completely stagnated in place in those five years. Everything stagnated in those five years.
Gameplay wise, missed potential. Absolute missed potential in points, but in some other aspects they never shot far anyway. The combat is the biggest case for missed potential. It's good, its good, but I cannot say much else. It doesn't evolve much during the game. Your base combo never ever changes or gets upgraded or anything else. So the only way the combat ever changes is the Eikon abilities you get from each of the Dominants. Yeah they all also kinda suck. Your Phoenix/Ifrit and Garuda skills actually work really well together, theres synergy there. But aside from Titan, the others absolutely do not. None of these skills work well together to form a fluid combat experience. It's still fun enough, but this really could've been more.
The level design is horribly bland and uninteresting. The dungeons are not good. They took FFXIV dungeons, put them in a single player action game, and then further simplified and dumbed them down. You move so awfully slow in this game which makes these areas even more of a drag to get around. I don't see why this couldn't have more involved dungeons when something like Stranger of Paradise had incredible dungeons.
The quests are so mind numbing too. Go here, get item, fight wave of easy enemies, ok now fight enemy with a really big healthbar, go back, quest over. This even applies to the main story. There is just so much uninteresting filler. Not horribly bad, but just passable.
Now for the positives. I really like these characters! They're all so good, with Dion becoming a surprise favorite. The writing is pretty good, the voice acting is top notch, and I really cared for everyone. Clive is an absolute legend, I love him and he deserves the best.
The music?? Especially for the Eikon fights, its incredible! I found myself humming quite often when a track came on. Cid's theme is an absolute classic to me now. I knew the music was in good hands when I found out it shares the same composer(s) as Final Fantasy XIV.
I really enjoyed this story. For each arc, they did a great job at giving you a new big bad to fear and want to take down. They even did a solid job at making you feel some ounce of sympathy for them. Their only fumble to me was actually Ultima. I'm sorry but I just do not give a fuck about Ultima. I knew from his first appearance that I would not like him, but still kept an open mind. Yet, they never gave me a reason to care about him.
Overall, I liked this game. I did every side quest (which actually did have interesting stories in them!! they are worth doing) every hunt, and I finished this game at the 50 hour mark. I wouldn't have done all this if I didn't like it, but this could've been more. This is the definition of a solid 7.0/10 game. An exact 7. A high C on a tier list, maybe very bottom of B, depends on what it's up against. I still recommend this to everyone, because everyone can have a good time. They don't do anything egregious that would turn people off here, you'd only be fighting your own boredom at times.

Lol!
I work in vet med and every day we have what I call " barfing hour". It's usually between four and six pm, right around the time people start coming home from work, and discover that Fido has gotten into something he shouldn't have.
Those are the lucky ones. Sometimes owners don't know their dog has eaten something until it gets sick. Sometimes it can resolve with outpatient care, sometimes it requires hospitalization or surgery.
An incomplete list of things I have seen dogs and cats eat to their detriment:
Grapes, chocolate, raw dough, butter, medication, lilies, string, marijuana, underwear, air pods, tennis ball, blankets, electrical cords, trash, a curtain rod, bones, half a shoe, tampons, rocks, toys, aluminum foil, shaving razor, socks, kitty litter, toilet paper, christmas ornaments, sewing needles, fish hooks, hair pins, compost, rat bait, corn cobs, a guitar pick, bees, wood, coins, onions, foam, hair ties, hair, anti freeze, beer, paper towels, bacon grease, house plants, and just too much goddamn food.
We have been been taking care of dogs (and cats!) for so long that most of their survival instincts are gone. Replaced unfortunately by something dangerous that their wild cousins don't usually have to worry about: occasional boredom.
Keep your pets safe. Puts toys away when you're not around. Keep medication out of reach. Get a locking trash can or keep your trash behind a door fluffy can't get into. Be careful with food, don't leave it unwatched on the counter. Consider crating or confining your dog to a safe room when you're not at home.
And find an emergency 24 hour vet *before* you need one. Call when you're uncertain if that thing your pet ate is okay.
Also: accidents happen sometimes. No matter how careful you are, a curious or determined pet will sometimes get into trouble. When that happens please don't wait it out. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Maybe your creature will be unscathed after a dietary indiscretion, or have only minor gastrointestinal upset, but maybe it'll cause pancreatitis, or an obstruction, or lead to kidney failure.
A vet visit involving vomiting, sub-Q fluids, and charcoal is a lot cheaper than days of hospitalization or surgery, and a hell of a lot less traumatic than losing a loved animal.

Understanding the Link between Dehydration and Back Pain: Causes and Solutions
Staying hydrated is often emphasized for its myriad health benefits, but did you know that dehydration can actually lead to back pain? For those living in Woodbridge and Scotch Plains, it’s crucial to understand this connection and take steps to prevent it. This blog post will explore the relationship between Dehydration and back pain scotch plains, provide helpful tips to stay hydrated, and offer insights into local resources that can help you maintain optimal health.
Tumblr media
Understanding Dehydration
Dehydration occurs when your body loses more fluids than it takes in. This can happen through sweating, urination, or even breathing. When you’re dehydrated, your body lacks the necessary fluids to perform essential functions.
Symptoms of Dehydration
Common symptoms include dry mouth, dizziness, and fatigue. However, many people don’t realize that back pain can also be a symptom of dehydration. When your body is dehydrated, it affects various systems, including your musculoskeletal system.
The Science behind Dehydration and Back Pain
Your spine consists of 24 vertebrae cushioned by intervertebral discs, which are filled with a gel-like substance composed mainly of water. These discs act as shock absorbers and provide flexibility to your spine. When you’re dehydrated, these discs lose water and become less effective at cushioning your vertebrae, leading to pain and discomfort.
The Connection between Dehydration and Back Pain
Impact on Intervertebral Discs
When you’re dehydrated, the intervertebral discs in your spine can shrink and lose their ability to cushion your vertebrae effectively. This can lead to pain not just in your back but also in other parts of your body, as misalignment can cause a chain reaction of discomfort.
Muscle Cramps and Spasms
Dehydration can also lead to muscle cramps and spasms, which can exacerbate back pain. Muscles need adequate hydration to function properly, and when they’re dehydrated, they can contract uncontrollably, causing pain and stiffness.
Reduced Blood Flow
Dehydration reduces blood flow, which can affect the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles and tissues. Poor circulation can lead to muscle fatigue and increased pain levels, particularly in the back.
Risk Factors for Dehydration and Back Pain
Age
Older adults are more susceptible to Dehydration and back pain Woodbridge due to the natural aging process, which decreases the body’s ability to conserve water.
Physical Activity
People who engage in strenuous physical activities, especially those who live in Woodbridge and Scotch Plains, are at a higher risk of dehydration, which can lead to back pain.
Climate
Hot and humid climates can increase the risk of dehydration, making it essential for residents of Woodbridge and Scotch Plains to stay hydrated, especially during the summer months.
How to Stay Hydrated
Drink Plenty of Water
The most straightforward way to stay hydrated is to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Aim for at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily.
Consume Hydrating Foods
Foods like cucumbers, watermelon, and oranges have high water content and can help keep you hydrated.
Avoid Dehydrating Beverages
Limit your intake of caffeinated and alcoholic beverages, as they can contribute to dehydration.
Tips for Preventing Back Pain
Maintain Proper Posture
Good posture can alleviate pressure on your spine and reduce back pain. Make sure to sit and stand up straight.
Exercise Regularly
Regular exercise can strengthen your back muscles and improve your overall posture. Incorporate activities like walking, swimming, and yoga into your routine.
Take Breaks
If you have a desk job, take frequent breaks to stand up, stretch, and walk around. This can help prevent stiffness and discomfort in your back.
When to Seek Professional Help
Persistent Pain
If you experience persistent back pain despite staying hydrated and following preventive measures, it’s time to consult a healthcare professional.
Severe Symptoms
If your back pain is accompanied by severe symptoms like numbness, tingling, or weakness, seek medical attention immediately.

Nutritional Value Of banana Chips
In this article there are many information regarding the nutritional value of banana chips because it has become all time favorite snacks all time .
A Detailed Insight
Banana chips are a popular snack choice made by frying or dehydrating thin slices of bananas. While they offer a unique crunchy texture and sweet taste, their nutritional profile is influenced by how they are prepared. This blog explores the nutritional value of banana chips, considering both their health benefits and drawbacks, and providing tips on how to make healthier choices when consuming them.
What Are Banana Chips?
Banana chips are typically made from ripe or slightly unripe bananas that are thinly sliced and then fried in oil or baked to achieve a crispy texture. They can also be seasoned with various flavors such as salt, sugar, or cinnamon. Commercially available banana chips are often fried and sweetened, making them higher in fat and sugar compared to fresh bananas. However, baked or dehydrated versions are also available, which tend to be lower in fat.
Nutritional Breakdown of Banana Chips
The nutritional content of banana chips varies significantly based on the method of preparation. Below is a typical breakdown of the nutritional content for a one-ounce (28g) serving of commercially fried banana chips:
Calories: 147–160 kcal
Carbohydrates: 20–24 g
Sugar: 8–10 g
Fiber: 2–3 g
Fat: 9–10 g
Protein: 1 g
Sodium: 2–5 mg
Potassium: 150–170 mg
Vitamin C: 1% of Daily Value (DV)
Iron: 2% of DV
Tumblr media
Let’s break down the nutritional aspects of banana chips into their key components:
1. Calories and Macronutrients
Banana chips are calorie-dense due to the oil used during frying. A small serving of banana chips provides around 150–160 calories, with a substantial portion coming from fats. This makes them a highly energy-dense food, and consuming large amounts can lead to excessive calorie intake, which may contribute to weight gain if not balanced with physical activity.
2. Carbohydrates and Sugars
Banana chips are rich in carbohydrates, particularly natural sugars from the banana itself. However, most commercial versions also add refined sugars to enhance their sweetness, significantly increasing their sugar content. A serving contains approximately 20–24 grams of carbs, with around 8–10 grams being sugar. This high sugar content may lead to quick spikes in blood glucose levels, which can be concerning for people with diabetes or those watching their sugar intake.
3. Fats
A major concern with banana chips is their fat content. Due to the frying process, a one-ounce serving can contain up to 10 grams of fat, with most of it being saturated fat (around 8 grams). Excessive intake of saturated fats can raise LDL cholesterol levels, which increases the risk of heart disease. For those looking for healthier options, baked or dehydrated banana chips, which are significantly lower in fat, are a better choice.
4. Fiber
Banana chips contain around 2–3 grams of dietary fiber per serving, which is beneficial for digestive health. Although they don’t offer as much fiber as fresh bananas, they still contribute to the daily fiber requirement, aiding in digestion and helping regulate blood sugar levels.
5. Micronutrients
Banana chips retain some of the key nutrients found in fresh bananas, including potassium and small amounts of vitamin C. Potassium is crucial for heart health and maintaining fluid balance in the body. A serving of banana chips provides about 150–170 mg of potassium, though this is significantly lower than what is found in a fresh banana. The process of frying and adding preservatives also reduces the overall vitamin content, especially water-soluble vitamins like vitamin C.
Health Benefits of Banana Chips
Despite their drawbacks, banana chips do offer some health benefits, particularly if consumed in moderation and chosen wisely.
Source of Quick Energy: The high carbohydrate content makes banana chips a good source of quick energy, which can be beneficial for athletes or individuals needing a quick energy boost.
Fiber Content: The fiber in banana chips, though lower than in fresh bananas, still promotes digestive health and can aid in maintaining a healthy digestive system.
Mineral Content: Banana chips contain potassium and iron, both of which are important for maintaining heart health and blood oxygen levels.
Convenience: As a non-perishable snack, banana chips are easy to carry and store, making them a convenient snack option for those on the go.
Tumblr media
Eating chips as a snacks is all time favorite .

Healthier Alternatives
For those who enjoy banana chips but want to avoid the negative aspects, there are healthier alternatives:
Baked Banana Chips: Instead of frying, opt for baked banana chips, which are lower in fat and calories.
Dehydrated Banana Chips: These are made by drying banana slices without any added oils or sugars, preserving most of the banana’s nutrients while keeping calorie and fat content low.
Homemade Banana Chips: You can make your own banana chips at home by slicing bananas thinly and baking or dehydrating them without added sugars or oils.
Conclusion
Banana chips are a tasty and convenient snack but should be consumed in moderation due to their high calorie, fat, and sugar content. When choosing banana chips, opt for baked or dehydrated versions to reduce the intake of unhealthy fats and added sugars. For a more nutritious option, fresh bananas offer a better balance of fiber, vitamins, and minerals with fewer calories and sugars.

How Many Calories Are in Cold Brew Coffee?
Cold brew coffee is a popular drink, especially during the hot months. It offers a smooth, refreshing taste that coffee lovers enjoy. Many people are concerned about calorie intake, especially when it comes to beverages. Understanding the calorie content in cold brew coffee can help you make informed choices.
What Is Cold Brew Coffee?
Cold brew coffee is made by steeping coarsely ground coffee beans in cold water for an extended period, usually 12 to 24 hours. This process extracts flavors from the coffee beans without the bitterness often associated with hot brewing methods. The result is a smooth and less acidic coffee that can be served over ice or diluted with water or milk.
Tumblr media
How Is Cold Brew Made?
To make cold brew coffee, you will need:
Coarsely ground coffee beans
Cold or room temperature water
A large container (like a jar or pitcher)
A filter or fine mesh strainer
Steps to Make Cold Brew:
Combine Coffee and Water: Mix one part coffee to four parts water in the container.
Steep: Let the mixture steep for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature or in the fridge.
Strain: After steeping, strain the coffee through a filter or mesh strainer to remove the grounds.
Serve: Pour the cold brew concentrate into a glass filled with ice. You can dilute it with water or milk if desired.
Caloric Content of Cold Brew Coffee
Basic Cold Brew
Plain cold brew coffee, made without any added ingredients, is low in calories. A standard 8-ounce serving typically contains around 5 calories. This low calorie count comes from the fact that coffee itself contains very few calories.
Nutritional Breakdown
The calorie content in cold brew coffee can be broken down as follows:
Water: 0 calories
Coffee Beans: Approximately 2 calories per ounce, depending on the type of coffee bean
Brewing Method: Cold brewing does not add calories since no sugar or cream is involved.
Additives Increase Caloric Content
The calorie count increases when you add other ingredients to cold brew coffee. Common additions include:
Milk or Cream: Dairy or non-dairy milk adds calories. For example, 1 ounce of whole milk adds about 18 calories.
Sugar or Sweeteners: Adding sugar can significantly increase calories. One teaspoon of sugar contains 16 calories.
Flavored Syrups: These can add anywhere from 50 to 150 calories per serving.

Comparing Cold Brew to Other Coffee Types
Hot Brewed Coffee
Hot brewed coffee also contains around 2 to 5 calories per 8-ounce serving. Cold brew has a smoother taste but similar calorie content.
Iced Coffee
Iced coffee is made by brewing hot coffee and then cooling it down. Its calorie content can be higher than cold brew, especially if cream and sugar are added.
Espresso
Espresso is concentrated coffee that typically has around 1 calorie per shot (1 ounce). It is much denser than cold brew.
Why Choose Cold Brew?
Cold brew coffee has several advantages:
Less Acidic: Cold brew is generally less acidic, making it easier on the stomach for some people.
Smoother Taste: Many find cold brew to be smoother and less bitter than hot coffee.
Versatile: Cold brew can be enjoyed plain, with milk, or as a base for various coffee drinks.
Health Benefits of Cold Brew Coffee
Antioxidants
Cold brew coffee is rich in antioxidants. These compounds help fight free radicals in the body, which can reduce the risk of certain diseases.
Boosts Metabolism
Caffeine, a natural stimulant found in coffee, can boost metabolism. Drinking cold brew may help increase fat burning and improve exercise performance.
Hydration
Although coffee is a diuretic, cold brew can contribute to your daily fluid intake. Staying hydrated is essential for overall health.

The Role of Hydration in Running Recovery: Why It Matters
Hydration is not only important while you are running but equally during recovery, too. Recovery post-run requires proper hydration that allows your body to recover better and prevents much of the muscle soreness associated with such activities. In this way, one can also deal with dehydration.
Fluid Replacement After a Run: Replenish fluids immediately after your run. A general guideline is to consume at least 16-24 ounces of fluid within the first half hour. If you have finished a very long or challenging workout, help your body replace lost minerals with an electrolyte-enhanced drink.
Hydrate for Optimum Recovery: Hydrate and do not stop immediately after your post-run drink. Keep sipping water throughout the day to make sure you are fully rehydrated. Regular hydration supports muscle recovery and keeps one healthy in general.
Electrolytes play an important role: Over the course of a long run, you begin to perspire out electrolytes, which are lost and must, therefore, be replenished. In that regard, electrolyte drinks or supplements help maintain sodium, potassium, and other key minerals necessary for proper muscle function and cramp prevention.
Habitual Hydration: Make hydration a part of your everyday routine and not just an after-run activity. Hydrating regularly throughout the day keeps your body at sustained levels of water intake and preps it for the next workout.
Customize Your Hydration: Everyone's fluid needs are individual and based on factors such as sweat rate, run intensity, and the weather. Listen to your body and adjust accordingly. If you're unsure, seek advice from a sports dietitian about how to individualize it.
Staying focused on your hydration before, during, and after your runs will help in performing better and recovering faster. Make sure to prioritize hydration when training so that each run goes as smoothly as possible.
