Our National Heroes have looked after us as a Bajan nation and we need to do the same for them. This monument, by artist Ricky George, commemorates our “Father of Independence” and is located in Independence Square in Bridgetown. The statue of the Right Honorable Errol Walton Barrow (1920 – 1987) was erected in 2006 and is one of several national monuments that have been commissioned over the years and are under the care of the National Conservation Commission (NCC).

These monuments are significant in the landscape of our cultural heritage and symbols of our self-determination as Barbadians, and as such need to be preserved and conserved for future generations. Outdoor sculptures of metal in the tropics and near the sea have to be maintained regularly to avoid damage from the elements.

These types of projects require a range of specialists, skills, resources and planning. This project brought together not only different departments within the NCC but also the Barbados Museum & Historical Society, a specialist sculpture Conservation Consultant from Puerto Rico, as well as the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., Barbados Tourism Investment Inc and the Barbados National Art Gallery. 

Firstly, the national team assesses and inspects any deterioration, then they document the sculpture and come up with a treatment plan, which is then steered by the specialist within that particular field.

Üzülüyorum bitmesine ama ağlamıyorum. Bitmesinin sebebi güzel bir sebep çünkü. Ama yüreğim acımıyor desem yalan olur, aklıma gelmediğinden soramadığım sorular var onları sorsaydım ne güzel olurdu. Bittiği akşam var ya hani, o sabah fotoğraflar çekmiştim sana atmak için ama atamadım bende kaldı onlar. Sana atamadığım fotoğraflarım, mesajlaşmalar, sesin, fotoğrafların, kedinle olan videon kaldı bana sadece bir de hissettirdiklerin. Çarşamba akşamı sesli konuşuruz demiştik, onun hevesi de kursağımda kaldı. O gelip duruyor aklıma, numaran var bende ama aramaya elim gitmez. Bilmiyorum, çelişkide kaldığımız şeyde diğer şeyi seçseydik olur muydu ama belli ki hayırlısı böyleymiş. Seni tanımak güzeldi, tanıdığıma pişman olmayacağım birinin hayatıma girmesi güzeldi. Hayatımda bazı faydalı değişikliklerin olmasını sağladın, umarım bende sana faydalı olabilmişimdir. O sabah söylediğin şarkıyı yine tüm gün dinledim. İnşallah, ben olmadan da o hedeflerini gerçekleştirirsin. Ben burda seni bekliyor olucam, her zaman...

I woke up thinking about vestige Katsuki casually having a chat with vestige All Might. WHAT THE DUCK was happening there if not something seriously fruity and why did we not circle back to it once we’d got over the fact that his heart had exploded?!

What must non-bkdks think is going on? I’m not even sure if we’ve fully discussed what is going on? Whyyy would he have a vestige if he doesn’t have OFA?

It’s not ghosts because a) ghosts haven’t been introduced as a concept in-universe and b) AM is there and he ain’t dead.

SO WHAT IS HAPPENING? Did we just totally overlook the fact that Hori made it canon that Katsuki either has OFA or just has access to the vestige realm for reasons unknown?

Also why is he fully clothed and able to speak, when poor Izuku spent every vestige scene nude and mute? And why is the background white not black? Vestige purgatory? A vestige waiting room?

I feel like when you suddenly realise you haven’t studied and the class has all moved on to new topics and you’ve somehow missed a key, fundamental part of how The Whole Thing works.

If anyone has meta on this please point me towards it because at this point I’m—
