Is it just me or is copaganda in movies getting worse? I don't watch it often, but in 21 Bridges from 2019 cops are shoving their guns into everyone's faces all the time, even if they're unarmed bleeding out on the ground, even random bystanders. Shooting like they are in a video game with an infinite ammo glitch at everyone and everything. I thought copaganda is suppost to make cops look good.

Frost teaching Torbek to drive and taking Gricko along for the ride
Frost: That's a pothole. To the left!
Torbek: Take it back now y'all *Drives into pothole*
Gricko, sticking his face into the front over the center console: Cha Cha real smooth.
Torbek: Torbek doesn’t think that's how the song goes.
Frost, crying and gripping the handle: Please just take me home.
Torbek: Country Roads.
Gricko: To the place.
Torbek and Gricko in unison: I Belong!
Frost, crying harder: What the fuck?

what makes mama such a good debut performance is that you could never rival (and now never replicate) the visual impact of a bunch of teenage boys with emo ass hair screaming at each other in the most outrageous outfits the early 2010s had to offer that’s the kind of drama you really don’t come across nowadays

Steel had that line where she said Suvi isn't a child anymore. And I just. I wonder how much she really believes that.
As my mom has told me many times, to a parent their child is always a child, no matter the age. Suvi said "that's my mom" so that's her mom.
When she was discussing the goals of the citadel, refuting Suvi's claim that the citadel wants to subjugate and take advantage of spirits, she was saying what she thinks. Suvi called her out on it, and she agreed - she does not speak for the citadel.
Steel's spent 13 years trying to raise her best friend's sister's child into a smart, confident, good young woman with an understanding of morals and of the world. I'm sure she's had many conversations where she's needed to explain the citadel, impress a respect for spirits, justify the goals of the empire. So I don't think that those refutes, those claims that the empire doesn't want to warp spirits to their own gain, necessarily came from a place of her believing it. I think she was being a mother, explaining and trying to influence this child.
