Huevember 2023 Day 24

I've been playing A Wonderful Life for the first time ever lately, I'm really enjoying it!

People have listed a lot of good moments. +1 to all that! Some other things: *Remembering Adam Johnson. Obviously his death was horrific, but I liked how the Penguins paid tribute to him, and I liked how the guys he was very close to (who are on another team) talked about how much they cried. It's great that they felt they could be open about their grief. And some guys have started wearing neck guards. *Sid's 19th season at more than a point per game. At game 69 he only had 69 points, and we were legitimately concerned that he wouldn't get there. But he did, and it wasn't close. And yeah there are guys at 140 and whatever, but, you know, call me when they've done it for 19 years. McDavid might, if he plays that long; he has been point-per-game every season. MacKinnon and Kucherov both have seven point-per-game seasons but they've played 11 and 10 seasons, respectively. *The thrill of getting Erik Karlsson and getting rid of Granlund and Petry. Heck, even the thrill of getting rid of Hextall and landing Dubas! Let's not forget Dubas's whirlwind visit to Pittsburgh and Sid just happened to be in town to meet him. *All the Connor Bedard-Sidney Crosby content we got at the start of the season and every time someone called Sid "old" and he said "older." *That time that Sid raced from one end of the rink to the other in the final seconds to prevent an icing call and everyone talked about it like the greatest feat of athleticism and commitment they had ever seen. *When they scored on the powerplay after going 0-500, and they celebrated like it was a Game 7 OT winner.

alright gang! what were your favourite moments this season? i personally gotta vote for the historic empty net delayed penalty own-goal by 2/3rds of our core & the time we went to shootout that lasted so long they were about to start asking for volunteers from the audience to lace up. of course who could forget kris letang in a wonder woman costume that poj had to squeeze him into, or the revelation that sid owns a tiny kitty he is sooo allergic to and he will show anyone all the hundreds of pictures on his phone of him with absolutely no prompting? we got a lot of good moments this season let’s HEAR ‘EM
