#2023 choose your own bl adventure

Hello everyone! So I’ve been working on something for a good ass minute, and while it is not done (alas that full-time employment), that doesn’t mean I can’t post it. Sooooooo

This year, I have met some really awesome people here through BL and honestly, y’all have made my year so wonderful so I wanted to do something for the BL community here. For the month of December, up until Christmas, I will be using polls to do a Choose Your Own BL Adventure (this is basically just a BL dating sim but we’ll all be playing it together don’t worry about it). There will be some common BL tropes thrown into the story as we progress. Each day, a new poll will go up based on the results of the last poll. I also want to state that it will not always be clear what/who each choice is for, but each choice does lead to a different story. There will not be a specific time for each poll because I can’t guarantee when I’ll be done with work, but I am going to do my best to make sure that the next poll with the next section of the story goes up between 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM CST.

Later today (don't ask me what time I don't know), I will be posting the set up for the first poll. I want to give everyone a day to read the set up before the first poll goes live, which is why I’m posting this today instead of tomorrow when it starts. I will be using the tag “#2023 choose your own bl adventure” for each post related to the game and god willing, I’ll be able to link that tag on my blog.

This is my gift to all of my friends who have made this year truly spectacular and I hope you all have fun with me while this goes on (and there might be a little Hanukkah surprise for y’all later as well). So look out later today for my post that will explain the beginning of the story and I'll try to link it here after it goes up.

Choose Your Own BL - Day 25: Merry Christmas!

You walk up to Gelt, pull him up and over to the mistletoe with you. You hold Gelt by the waist. Gelt’s face turns beet red and you’re sure that you look the same, but you lean in at the same time he does. Your lips meet his and you realize how happy you are to be kissing him. It was a quick kiss, a chaste kiss, but it was perfect. You’re caught up in the moment with Gelt but you hear Snow and Wreath whooping and hollering in the background. You pull back but keep your hand around Gelt’s waist. 

You look over to see Snow and Wreath positively beaming at the two of you. You look down and see that Snow’s pinky is locked with Wreath’s pinky. You make a mental note to talk to Snow later. Clearly you two have some things to catch up on, but for now you turn back to Gelt, place a kiss on his cheek and ask if he wants to go on a walk. Just the two of you. Gelt nods and takes your hand in his. You tell Snow and Wreath that you and Gelt are going on a walk and you probably won’t be back. They look like they’re ready for some alone time, so you say your goodbyes and head out with Gelt.

You never would have thought when you first met Gelt that you two would end up together, but you are so happy things turned out the way they did. It was an adventure getting here with him and you can’t wait to see what adventure is next for the two of you. But for now, all you know is you’ve never been happier than you are, walking down the road and looking at the lights, hand in hand with Gelt.

Thank you everyone who took part in this with me! It was a lot of work but I had a lot of fun. I will likely not be doing a choose your own adventure again but I don’t think I’m done with these four yet. I have plans for later.

Choose Your Own BL Adventure - Day 2

Options:

Accept his offer. Wreath has been so kind and you can ask him questions about university life on the way.

Decline his offer. You’re supposed to be meeting Snow before your next class for a last minute cram session before a quiz.

Offer to walk him to his class instead. His building is closer and on the way to yours.

Choose Your Own BL Adventure - Day 1

Options:

Visit Gelt in the kitchen and return the sweets. Tell him to give them out for free in the cafe today. You keep one for yourself.

Chase after Wreath. Thank him for apologizing for Gelt and being the mediator. Offer to split the sweets with him.

Call Snow and tell him you have sweets. He has a massive sweet tooth and will be able to demolish all of them while sparing you a few.

Options:

Send Wreath away and go shower. You’re capable of at least that much.

Let Wreath wipe you down as you fall asleep.

Grab the towel from Wreath’s hands and wipe yourself down. Thank Wreath for the ride but you’ve got it from here.

Options:

Tell Wreath he can absolutely join. The more the merrier!

Tell Wreath you’d rather no one else witness how bad you are in the kitchen.

Shrug and tell Wreath it’s up to him.

Choose Your Own BL Adventure - Day 3

Options:

Before you leave to go to your own class, you ask Wreath for his number so you can keep chatting and it will be easier to meet up later.

You wave Wreath off before running to your own class. You know you’re going to be late unless you sprint and you don’t want to miss the quiz.

Ask Wreath if he wants to meet up tonight at a local bar for a drink.

Choose Your Own BL Adventure - Day 24

Options:

Laugh and walk back to the table, away from the mistletoe. Join your friends and enjoy the rest of your evening laughing and talking.

Stand there awkwardly and wait to see if anyone stands up to join you.

Walk to where Gelt is sitting, pull him up and back to the mistletoe with you.

Panic and run away back to the bathroom. Splash water on your face a few times before you go back out to your friends. Avoid walking under the mistletoe this time.

Options:

Slowly pull your hand away. You don’t want Snow or Wreath asking why you’re blushing. 

Cautiously intertwine your fingers with Gelt’s but don’t look at him. 

Excuse yourself to the bathroom. You need a moment to compose yourself.

Options:

Shrug it off. Look at Snow and shake your head, an indication for him not to ask.

Pull Snow aside and tell him everything that’s happened between you and Gelt since you were in the kitchen with him earlier. 

Remembering what happened a few mornings ago between you and Snow, pull Wreath aside and ask for advice.

Options:

Thank him and say you already planned to go with Snow after you stop home to change so you won’t need a ride.

Since you’re with Gelt now, ask him if he can give you a ride before you respond to Wreath.

Tell Wreath you will need a ride after you stop home to change.

Options:

Ignore it. Gelt is just helping you and you appreciate it.

Encourage it. Lean into the touches and initiate some of them.

Politely ask Gelt to stop touching you. You’re not comfortable with physical touch.

Options:

Go with Gelt. Tell Snow you know he has homework to catch up on.

Go with Snow. This could be your only chance to see if you can bring up what happened this morning.

Tell them you should all go together since they both want to go and you’re all together now anyway.

Tell them you can’t make it today. You have to study and actually be a good student.

Options:

Thank Gelt for his worry but tell him everything is fine.

Tell Gelt something weird happened this morning and you haven’t had a chance to talk to Snow about it yet.

Look at the message, pointedly look at Gelt, then put your phone down. You don’t respond.

Options:

Tell Gelt yes. You’re starving and ask him where to meet up.

Ask Gelt how he got your number.

Snow is still on your mind after that near kiss this morning. Ask Gelt if Snow can tag along as well.
