Mercedes–Maybach unveils the final chapter of Project Maybach - its cooperation with trusted partner, the late polymath artist, architect, creative director, fashion designer and philanthropist, Virgil Abloh. Unique to the limited-edition S‑Class is a bespoke user interface, which presents the driver with an even more luxurious variation of the Maybach MBUX suite of cutting-edge technologies. Também fornece informação sobre a geometria da estrada ou eventos especiais de trânsito, tais como obras rodoviárias. Este mapa de alta precisão difere dos mapas para dispositivos de navegação, entre outras coisas, pela sua maior precisão no alcance de centímetros em vez de metros e pelo seu cruzamento mais detalhado de dados.

Durante a viagem condicionalmente autónoma, o DRIVE PILOT permite ao condutor tirar a sua mente do trânsito e concentrar-se em certas atividades secundárias, seja comunicando com os colegas através do In-Car Office, navegando na Internet ou relaxando enquanto assiste a um filme. No modo DRIVE PILOT, as aplicações podem ser ativadas no visor central integrado do veículo que, de outra forma, ficam bloqueadas enquanto se conduz.
