Going on one date with Al means nothing. Adella went on like 4 dates with different people in September and nobody is talking about that. I don’t see why Aquata would have to make a comment considering Al and Adella have clearly both moved on. How about instead of speculating about people’s love lives you focus on the real issues of the election?

Because this is WAY more fun!!!!!!

Also it’s absolutely relevant. If I were Reza or Shock, I’d want to know why just a few weeks before Aquata’s grand campaign debut, her sister was seen with former board member Al McWiggin. It literally could be nothing-- just a date after all, maybe she was asking Al for tips for Aquata, completely oblivious to Al’s intent to run again. If it is innocent, I don’t see why Aquata can’t simply clarify. 

Especially considering Aquata’s running on such a pro-magicks platform. 

And Al is not. 

If I were thinking about voting for Aquata OR Al, I’d want to know. :)

Ooooo I’m glad you asked! 

So yes, Adella has been living that swipe life and getting results. How do I know? Well, let’s just say that someone told me they saw Adella having a romantic dinner with... Al McWiggin. 

Yes. Al McWiggin. Aquata’s competition. Of course, this was before the campaigns kicked off, but one has to wonder about the timing of it all! Was Adella picking Al for information anyway? Or was there an actual romantic connection that grinded to a halt b/c of politics? OR are they still seeing each other behind closed doors? Does Aquata know? 

As for Marzel, last I saw him was getting cute and cozy with Minnie on the ferris wheel during the fall carnival. Is love in the air for everyone’s favourite Swynlake hospital nurse?? Do people ship it?

swynlake_spill: the greatest SHOCK of this debate so far is that only mcwiggin is wearing colours et tu shock adamson??? 

swynlake_spill: ok but I don’t actually hate this-- tbh Shock is playing smart by dressing up without losing her off-the-cuff approach. Love that she traded in a blazer for a turtleneck, totally hit the perfect middle ground. Could have used more accessories though. 8/10

Thoughts on the candidates after the first debate?

Reza needs to highlight his assets better. I mean, I’m not saying he should wear a beautiful royal purple suit but I’m also not saying that it wouldn’t enhance the richness of his skin and the sexy dark shine in his curls. Like, Reza, you have a real chance to stand out from the crowd with a bold statement suit! Think branding! 

This is all I have to say about Reza during the debate, as I do not remember a single thing he said. 

Meanwhile, I think we can all agree that the most daring thing about Al McWiggin was the outfit. He otherwise played it very safe, but some people really like that and I guess if he wants any chance at all at getting undecided voters, it’s his best bet. 

Aquata Triton is sexy-brained, I think.

And now my case for Shock: 

Shock Adamson is a genius but Swynlake isn’t ready for her. The worst moment of the night for me was watching Shock say Hey, let’s throw a fundraiser for vampires, and then Swynlake losing their collective shit until Aquata Triton said the same thing but, like, with sexy-brained-language, and then took literally all the credit. Also the thing bout feeding people to animals-- I think once again people failed to realize that Shock was using satire to expose the value of the question itself. Aquata did something similar in a previous question, but again, used the sexy-brained-language. 

Once again, I’m not saying that people don’t like Shock because she’s “less” “educated” and from out of town maybe, but I’m also not not saying that. 

My point here is that throughout the night, Shock was 100% genuine, did not fuck around, never strayed from the question and actually pushed Aquata Triton to take a hard, controversial pro-vampire stance in front of all our eyes. Isn’t that kind of the point of a debate? To push your fellow candidates? 

I don’t think she’s going to win the election, but she’s exactly the kind of energy this election needs.

Shock deserves the spotlight this week for actually making me pay attention to the elections this year lol

You and me both! Whether or not we think she’s serious, she has brought some much needed energy and youth rep, wouldn’t you all agree? 

Though at the same time, I don’t think she’s reached her full potential yet. We’re only at the beginning. Personally, I am really hoping she does some kind of huge public demonstration though, like chain herself naked to the graffiti’d bench in the park as a demonstration of her support of free speech.

Which of the board candidates is most likely to have a big scandal come out during campaign season???

The obvious answer is Shock, which is why it won’t be her. Think about it: Shock is too stupid and too shameless to hide some kind of mass conspiracy. Also, she’s basically harmless, all she does is raise Mr. Moon’s blood pressure and encourage Phillip Knightley. I mean. Is she probably on drugs. Sure. Aren’t all politicians on drugs? 

SO that leaves us with Reza, Aquata, and Al. 

MOST LIKELY TO HAVE A SEX SCANDAL: Reza, obviously. Am waiting for the sex tapes or the nude pic. It’s coming, it’s only a matter of time. 

MOST LIKELY TO BE BRIBED: Aquata. Her family is loaded, and as we all know, we cannot really trust any rich person 100%. Someone do an audit on those Tritons’ financials, maybe they’re taking special interest money! 

MOST LIKELY TO BE CANCELED: Al, another very obvious choice. He’s already skating pretty thin ice with the whole #SwynlakeForAll thing. I mean I don’t personally find it offensive, but I think we all know the Mei Q’s of the world are not impressed.

F: Reza. As noted before, he is nothing if not exceedingly handsome, and people have been elected for less. Would he maybe try to talk my ear off about his policy while we canoodle? Yes. That’s a sacrifice I have to mak... wait actually no I’m killing Reza, Shock would not talk my ear off while we canoodle. 

M: Al and Aquata. I like both these people. I especially like how Al has learned to listen to what women tell him. It makes me believe that I too could make him do whatever I please. Meanwhile, Aquata is the frontrunner in this race and I like winners

K: As I said, I think I must kill Reza. He is so, so hot, but keep the politics out of the bedroom!

Delighted. 

I understand your confusion though. I didn’t even know she qualified, but then again, maybe she just bribed someone on the Board to accept her application. Personally, my favourite part of her application is how it seems to be the human equivalent of exactly what Aquata Triton vows to stop-- i.e. shenanigans, naughty jokes, general chicanery-- and therefore I am betting that by the end of this they end up wrestling on the floor of town hall.

Now that’s an idea! Why can’t we just throw our candidates in a mud pit and vote for the strongest??

ANYTHING for you! This is based on updates on Twitter/people’s comments in my inbox/my own personal experience

Reza’s Dinner: Absolutely, despicably boring. Not a single scene was started. Where was the Magick protest outside?? Why weren’t ppl interrogating Reza to the third degree?? Where was the long-lost relative responsible for the initial article leak, come now to get his revenge and reveal Reza’s stash of objectifying fairy porn or something?  I was really hoping this would turn into one giant game of Clue-- we’d find Reza murdered in his own house, get locked in one giant room together, and yell at each other until one of us cracks under the pressure. It was Toulouse by the stairs with the leg of mutton! No, it was Phineas in the kitchen with a giant bottle of curl-fortifying shampoo! Alas, there was not even One Murder.  

Al’s Potluck: Sweet and Cute and Good For Your Health. We saw a lot of flirting at this event tbh-- I’m looking at you Lachlann and you Seamus, but also Haru and Jun, both disturbing concepts I don’t want to think about anymore!!! Who knew that potatoes could be such an aphrodisiac? 

Shock’s Haunted House: A rip-roaring good time! 10/10, though there was ALSO a suspicious lack of murder! Really the only newsworthy thing that happened was Ashle Boulet going in with Candy... and never coming out again ;) JK, they did, but this is not the first time they’ve been seen together, which makes me think that Candy is Assimilating into the Ashley Hive Mind. Wonder how Phineas is gonna feel about that? 

Aquata’s Walk-a-Thon: Surprisingly ok because of # of cute dogs, could have used less walking.
