ongoing solarstorm research is telling me that this is the furthest south that auroras have been seen (in the northern hemisphere) since 1921

and I'm suddenly reminded of that little detail about the solarstorm in 1921 that I didn't quite manage to work into This Isn't A Ghost Story

#for those of you who have read Ghost Story: there was a massive aurora event like the one we've had this weekend #during the weekend of May 13-15 1921 #biggest one in the 20th century. and it's recorded as having been visible in Egypt #so. you know. that was also going on during that pivotal moment in the plot #I just couldn't find a good way to mention it. I had a sentence about it in Clara's journal but it was superfluous to the plot #so even tho I ended up cutting it please know that in my head that first meeting in the Cairo museum was always against the backdrop #of once-in-a-century auroras visible in Egypt. because of course it was.#and I found that out *after* I picked that date for a host of other reasons lol #spooky science research is spooky #process thoughts #2024 mood #2020 mood #1921 mood #This Isn't A Ghost Story

I feel like this has only aged better and better since May 2020.

Just watched Glass Onion, would love to reblog all the gifsets and such but very much do not want to spoil anything. But it's so good. Even if you haven't seen Knives Out (though you should see that, too), please consider checking it out.

Not a spoiler, but something I didn't realize until I was watching it - its the first piece of media I've seen that's set in 2020, and fully acknowledges the pandemic and even uses it as a tool to give more insight into characters. Someone shows up in a mesh mask? I literally laughed, bc what a simple but effective way to show us a bit of who they are. There's so much more, but... just see for yourself.

I can't remember if it was in reference to adhd or just some sort #of general execcutive functioning issue type of thing - but the idea that things have to be ''just right'' before you do something. like #'oh i need to do this task. but i have to wait until XYZ first' or 'oh i can do this but only if X specific condition is met' or etc #The fact that I even have to be in a Specific Mindset to post. or sometimes will delay posting on social media because like 'oh well #I'm going somewhere tomorrow. somehow this matters. i cannot spend 5 minuts posting TONIGHT. clearly it will interfere #somehow schedule wise with the doctor appointment i have 15 hours from now. yes. yes. i must wait until my appointment is over #tomorrow afternoon. THEN i shall post' or etc. etc. lol. NOT even taking into account the many days #I just genuinely and physically sick and it's not even a mental thing. I just physically dont feel like sitting at the computer lol..#ANYWAY.. trying to get back into it. trying to get a business bank account.. make a proper paypal so i can start selling sculptures again.#selling clothes and sculptures.. posting about such things then of course as one must. etc... chanting to hype up and motivate myself lol #But yes. this is my favorite outfit out of the bunch so I am posting it first I guess.. maybe others later..#Also the purple dress says its from shein. which I've heard is bad fast fashion stuff. but maybe okay since its second hand?
