When transporting huge cargo over long distances, a heavy-duty pickup truck is the best option. The 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty is a member of the same family as the most popular vehicle in the United States and is one of the most competent pickups available, with a maximum hauling capability of almost 22,900 pounds. Additionally, it can transport 4,260 pounds of load in the bed; is 't it astonishing?

Well, before you buy a used Ford F-250, you must read this comprehensive guide by Ford Crossroads.

Ford F-250: why one should buy?

The F-250 is one of the most capable big workhorse trucks on the market today. The Ford pickup needs a special chassis configuration in order to carry and tow very heavy loads. However, the ride comfort is severely compromised due to the solid rear axle and leaf springs, which contribute much to the vehicle's strength and flexibility.

The F-250 has always been a part of the F-Series lineup, and Ford Crossroads managed to compile the series below; 

Ford F-250s from the early 2000s

The first generation F-250 was equipped with a 5.4-litre Triton V8 producing 255 horsepower as standard, with a larger 6.8-litre Triton V10 offering 310 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque as an option. 

Ford F-250 (2008) 

The production runs for the second-generation F-250 ended in 2010, only two years after it began. This F-250 was only around for a little while, but it brought a lot of upgrades, including the brand-new 6.4-liter PowerStroke diesel

Ford F-250, (3rd Generation) 2011 

The third-generation F-250 was produced from 2011 to 2016, making it the second longest-running F-250 model. If you're in the market for a pre-owned used ford pickup truck, this will help you save money while still getting many of the features and safety aids found on newer models.

Newer model Ford F-250s 2017 and present

The 7.3L gas engine will be an option starting with the F-250 Super Duty, going all the way up to the F-750 and F-53 & F-59 stripped chassis
