ohhh the summer 2013 … MAMA NICOLE UR BDAY MARCH 21st … CAMERON PICKED ME UP TO BANANA STAND TRYING TO GET ME BACK … I WAS CUTE THAT DAY …
anyways I have some extensions in my hair and high school because you Nas is so weird and just care about long hair so I took my extensions out when Cameron and I went on this banana stand date for me. I kind of wanted to get back with him, but I wasn’t gonna push it.
he was definitely trying to get back with me so I basically said yes to the date because it was a banana stand and we watched the Arrested Development and we both became obsessed with it so we went on our date and made a comment about me cutting my hair and I was like yeah I did that shit and he was like I wish you keep it long and I was like well we’re here now so it is what it is
I’m using speech text
but we go out to Manhattan Beach and he also has Berkeley friends out here, white friends who have their houses or maybe it’s old Loyola friends with their rich houses but anyways we hung out at the banana stand. Did our bike ride went on the pier or the little boat fairy , did that for maybe like an hour and a half two hours our little banana flirting with each other and then we went out to dinner where his friends met us and then we went to the beach a little and then we went back to his friends house stay there for the rest of the night and then he drove me back to Nonna’s
We didn’t have sex. We also didn’t talk about getting back together in full, but we did flirt with each other when we ate dinner and his friends came through either either I asked him or his friend mentioned or he mentioned there’s a girl that he’s talking to and trying to figure it out with. …
So I’m looking at like why are you here? Why would you not verbally express that right up because on your Instagram you’re not posting a bitch but you’re posting look warmly a bitch …. And we’re not talking….
——- so that’s March like I said January 2013 excuse me 2014 Preston and I are talking again but not until really like Valentine’s Day and it’s on and off so I’m not tethered to anybody in a boyfriend or sexual way. I’m not even having sex with Preston at that time, we’re flirting and I’m telling him my situation that I just had with Ian and I’m really like expressing how that shit really fucking hurt me…. so he has a stupid what’s that burger shack on Ventura across from the Marshalls he has that job that he’s doing also he’s giving me like I’m trying to focus on me and actually grow up and I’m working XYZ jobs but I still have the same friends, Chris the equipment guy back from when I was 16 hanging out with him, but he lives on Blackburn and Crescent Heights now …… this is pointless to somebody, adding up some details…..
So March happens I come over for Nicole‘s birthday. Cameron and I ended up going on a date. I left my car there. ….. so while I’m at college, I have my 2005 Prius, which is the silver one and then it got totaled in 2015 and I got my Chevy Cruz February 2015 and then I got my Honda Civic April May 2017 and a week after I got that car Cameron and I finally had sex… in the back seat I either picked you up at ur parents house or met you at the walking park but we definitely buss down in the back seat n broke n my near car … then left it at 2020 I asked what u went on ( 2017 U HIT ME to fuck and asked what I was on ) brought up w Jamal March … it’s about me n cams annual time of link up and ya turn me down n I said cool basically but you wanted to press the situation and make me seem crazy I told you I might have made a mistake and still ,gibt be in love*** w you .. but you said you got a nigga you don’t hit me when ur not in a relationship “ and paused thought umm Daniel and I was broken up but living together bc money tight ON MY END HE CHOSE NOT TO LEAVE and Jamal SAME THING but used COVID as an excuse to try n get me back WHEN A NIGGA GAY N NOT FUCKING ON ME WE HAD SEX LIKE 3 TIMES AFTER THE RELATIONSHIP Oct 2018 he basked me to marry him basically … “ DONT freak out imma marry you tho”
That’s weird … me sip corona and say “ ahahah okay” .. ur think “ that is not happening I need to get my spot ASAP”
don’t mind that thought it’s supposed to be a dash for my signed. That’s weird and quotations again text speech but Jamal I helped you while you were living with your roommates Marcus get your poetry photos, your books, your organization for your whatever poetry shit you were trying to do together you were struggling with fucking money , I was struggling with fucking money, but I had Neffy in a weird situation with Daniel and I couldn’t do Postmates for whatever reason because my attention span so I gave you my Postmates and I said OK if you make amount of money a week I will take 10 to 20% so I still get my cut because I have to pay taxes but you wanna make money to go and do a BNC but you also have a DUI but you want to do this side job so here’s my shit for you to use, but give me a cut because I gotta pay taxes ….. - A HELPFUL BITCH.
this is so jumpy and out of order and sporadic because I know it’s two different group chats or maybe three or four talking about why are we still on Cashay’s love life and trying to piece together shit leak from the wood where the fuck did you come from because you fucked on Evelyn Mazi Oreos you ain’t never had my pussy so why are you in my group chat with my niggas!?
also, you weirdos in a complementary way you like how I carry my shit with my Nas whether you’re a boo thing or an actual boyfriend of mine because for some fucked hard reason Lee Garlington can’t get it in her fucking head over me and I’ve never had a woman like me in a girlfriend situation so they do dumb ass shit to my face to make it seem like they love me, but behind the scenes, they’re making money off of me off the bitch I’m adopted to who should be taking care of me, but you’re doing defamation on my fucking character to keep me from the legitimate men that you know I should be married …. Which lets me know Lee at some point before my 16th birthday when granny Florence came over for the dinner for my 15th birthday and me and Lexi walked outside with Brandy. She told you about the arrange fucking marriage and you checked your goddamn fucking slavery books and figured out that me and Tristan are the ones to free our fucking family so from that moment on you started interfering with my fucking sex life heavily you already fucked over Alexis through Trisha and didn’t tell Granny.

The Mark Of The Voices
Chapter One: Discovered
“I’ve been hearing voices.” Madison, a young girl, at the age of eight, sat in the armchair that was two sizes too large for her, “They keep telling me to... run and hide.”
Her uncle Jim, A.K.A Dr. Stevenson, who was across from her, looked up from his clipboard and placed his pen down on the little side table next to him.
“You too?” he whispered. Madison stared at him, confusion on her face.
“Show me your hand.” he gently demanded. Madison scrambled to him, hastily pulling off the thin white glove that resided on her left hand. A simple mark adorned the top of her hand.
“Madison, under no circumstances are you to show this to anyone except me, Uncle Andrew, Mama, and Dad.” he insisted, nothing but seriousness on his face, lacing his tone.
She nodded, “I promise.”
Jim opened his mouth to reply, but he was cut off by a ding from his phone. He glanced at it, and his eyes widened as his face lost a few shades of color.
“We need to go.” he said, “Put your glove back on.”
Madison pulled it on and followed Jim out of his office. When they reached their family, Dustin and Rosita, Madison’s parents, stood up. Dustin gave a look to Jim as if asking: “Is everything okay?”
“I just got a text.” Jim started. Andrew, his husband and the co-owner of their company, looked up from his computer.
“They’re coming.” he said, “For me and her.”
He gestured to Madison.
“Shit, we need to leave.” Dustin urged.
“Andrew,” Jim directed his attention to his husband, “wall.”
Andrew’s eyes widened, “That’s right.”
He stood up and with a wave of his hand, all of his stuff was all neatly organized and in his computer bag.
Madison’s eyes filled with awe. She never got tired or bored watching Andrew do magic.
Andrew tapped three times on the wall he was facing, revealing a retinal and hand scanner. He did the retinal scan first, then the hand scan.
The hand scanner was Andrew’s own invention. Instead of just scanning prints, the hand scanner also identified people by their bones. People born with magic had a thin line band of light in their bone marrow. Those who learned magic had a small glow emitting from their finger bones. Everyone born powerless and never studied magic had the norse runes of protection and strength engraved on their bones.
A portion of the wall slid open, revealing a corridor leading to an elevator. Jim ushered Dustin, Rosita, and Madison down the corridor.
“Press the button with the mark on it. We’ve got some things to do.” Jim informed them. Dustin nodded, before herding his wife and daughter toward the elevator. Jim left the corridor and went to grab his things. He reached his office and found his bag on his desk and everything he needed was organized inside. He smiled, internally thanking his husband.
Quickly, he snatched it and closed his door, locking it. Andrew had just finished locking the door and tinting the windows when Jim made his reappearance. Andrew pressed a palm to the wall next to him, and somewhere in the back, behind the building, two occupied parking spaces were being replaced by empty ones. Jim grabbed his hand and they ran to the elevator, the wall sealing seamlessly behind them. To everyone else, it would’ve looked like the Stevenson husbands had closed their place for the day.
Jim and Andrew quickly got into the elevator and Jim pressed the button he needed to. The elevator doors shut quickly and, almost immediately, they were descending. The ride lasted a silent ten seconds and the doors opened, displaying the eager face of Madison, the relieved stance of Rosita, and the ‘deep in thought’ expression that Dustin was wearing.
“Uncle Jim, Uncle Andrew.” Madison cried, “You’re okay.”
Andrew pulled her into a hug, ruffling her hair.
“Of course we’re okay,” he joked. “We’re tough. Although, not as tough as you.”
Jim led them down another stone corridor lit by lights hanging from the ceiling. Eventually the corridor opened up into a large room. Jim’s 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and Andrew’s 2017 Mustang sat on top of two massive pedestals in the center of the room. Numerous cabinets lined one wall, full of supplies. A training and meditation area was in the far corner, across the movie space, which had a large flatscreen TV, a wall of DVD’s, and a huge fridge.
Jim dragged Dustin over to the cabinets, pressing a button on a podium that lowered the pedestals the vehicles were on. He noticed his brother biting his lip, a habit Dustin had developed when they were young. That memory brought a small grin to Jim’s lips.
Dustin grabbed blankets, flashlights, a couple tents, and a cooler. Jim noted his brother’s eyebrows were furrowed as Dustin strode to the truck and dumped the contents from his hands into the trunk. Then he went to the fridge and grabbed food and drinks. Putting them in the cooler with a bag of ice, he slammed the cooler’s lid shut.
Madison jumped at the loud noise, and Rosita stepped closer, wrapping her arms around her daughter. Andrew began casting wards and protection spells on Jim’s Chevy and his Mustang. Madison watched in fascination as her uncle continued doing magic.
“Uncle Andrew?” she called out to him.
“Yes, blossom?” he answered, using her nickname.
Can you teach me how to do magic?”
Andrew stopped what he was doing, turned and smiled at his niece.
“I’ll teach you when we get somewhere safe, if that’s okay with your Mama.” He looked up at Rosita, “Is it okay, Mama?”
Rosita chuckled, “It’s okay by me. Just be careful.”
“Of course, darling.” Andrew drawled. That caused Madison to burst out giggling. Andrew, feeling like he accomplished something very important, grinned and went back to his task. Jim and Dustin finished packing up the truck and the Mustang.
“I’ll drive the truck.” Dustin offered. Jim gave him a playful “bitch, please” face.
“I think not! You’re coming with me, but I’m driving.” he sassed. Dustin gave a hearty laugh before kissing Rosita’s and Madison’s forehead. He climbed into the passenger seat, and reclined his seat back.
“Bye, Hun.” Jim kissed Andrew. Their faces were grim, matching Rosita’s, who got Madison situated in the car before climbing in the passenger seat.
“Please don’t get caught.” Andrew pleaded.
“Of course I will.” Jim said, “I do plan on seeing your face again.”
He gave Andrew a small smile before climbing into the truck. Andrew hopped into his sports car. Both vehicles’ engines started and two seperate passageways opened up.
Closing the convertible roof to his car, Andrew gripped the steering wheel, anxious. As soon as the large door disappeared and the passageway was lit, he stepped on the gas pedal and sped down the tunnel. He emerged into an empty parking garage and joined the heavy, day time flow of Tempera traffic. He was good for about a minute, then a black 2019 Cadillac Escalade, with the signature white logo of a hound adorning it, pulled up behind him and began riding his ass. Andrew grit his teeth, trying to remain calm while trying to find a way to get away from the Hounds.
Spotting an opening, he quickly maneuvered into the next lane and sped up. The Escalade followed, so Andrew did what he did best. He started trouble.
“Hold on, Madison. It’s about to get real hectic real fast.”
As soon as Madison got herself secured, Andrew turned left sharply, throwing them all to the right. The Escalade still seemed to be able to keep up. A ringtone sounded.
“Answer.” Andrew ordered.
“Andrew, what’s going on?” Jim’s voice was deep and heavy.
“We’ve got a tail.” Andrew said.
“Us too.” Jim asked, “Where are you at?”
“Fifth Avenue and Main.” Rosita answered.
“Rosita. Are you and Madison okay?” Dustin’s frantic voice filled the car.
“Yes, we’re okay.” she assured him.
“Andrew, are you able to lose the Hounds?” Jim asked calmly. Inside, he was freaking out.
“I-I don’t know.” Andrew cursed himself for stuttering. “I can try, but it’ll take a bit of effort.”
“Please, whatever you do, just get rid of them.”
Andrew opened his mouth to answer back when something caught his eye in the rear view mirror.
“Uh, I need to go. I’ll meet you in Ashewater.” Andrew quickly hung up and floored it. Weaving around the vehicles in front of him, he quickly lost the Escalade, but it was easily replaced by two more.
“Shit.” he swore.
“Take the wheel!” he instructed Rosita. She immediately obliged, climbing into the driver seat as Andrew lowered the roof. Casting a spell, muttering the incantation under his breath, he made a huge wall of air rise up in front of the Escalades. Both crashed into the wall and Andrew took back the wheel. Driving with his knee, he cast another spell. He closed the roof and drove out of the city.
He hoped Jim and Dustin were okay. So, he sat silent, driving the seven-hour drive to Ashewater, Idaho. Madison was quiet in the backseat as Rosita stared out the window. The Hounds shook them all up, especially Madison. Andrew pitied her. She was only eight and she was being forced on the run because of something she was born with.
He was outraged. At the stupidity and the nerve of the government for hunting down people with the Mark. What was the point of it all? Were they dangerous? Was there something about them that scared the government? If so, what was it?
Questions flooded Andrew’s head as he drove down the empty highway. Will he ever find the answers?

Title: Under The Midnight Sun Author: Northern Sparrow Artist: delicious-irony Rating: Explicit Pairings: Dean/Cas (minor Sam/Ruby) Wordcount: 130000 Warnings/Tags: Canon-Typical Violence, A/U Within Canon Multiverse, Wingfic, Bisexual Dean, Caretaker Dean, Slow Burn, Romance, Plotty, Action, Minor OCs (friendships only) Posting: 11/28/2018
Summary:
Dean Winchester’s starting his fourteenth season as camp manager of an Alaskan tundra research station. Dean likes his job; fixing the camp trucks, troubleshooting the generators, keeping clueless undergrads from walking into grizzly bears or getting lost in snowstorms — it’s all in a day’s work. It keeps him pretty busy, and this year's busier than usual what with Sam visiting too. So it’s really not any of Dean’s business when some weirdo ornithologist sets up a tent a few miles away, a dark-haired blue-eyed guy who’s doing a “very long-term" study on birds or wings or something, and who never, ever takes off his big lumpy backpack. But then Dean happens to meet him one day out on the tundra and... well, he’s not officially part of camp; he's not Dean’s responsibility; he’s really not Dean’s problem at all, but when a blizzard comes sweeping in, Dean gets worried and goes to check. Thing is, Dean's spent years in the Arctic. He knows all about the midnight sun and the sudden storms, the ice caves and avalanches, the rough-and-ready Haul Road truckers and the even rougher-and-readier wildlife. But even so, what he finds is much more than he bargained for.
Dean fell silent a moment, looking out of Chevy truck cab at the hiker.
This unassuming hiker, who didn't even seem to be wearing proper arctic winter gear, was not only tent-camping somewhere here on the Slope before snowmelt had even started, but had apparently walked over Atigun Pass a month ago. Atigun was the only driveable pass over the Brooks, and the Brooks were gigantic. Atigun was one of the most formidable and icy mountain passes in the entire state of Alaska.
And "a month ago" had still been hard winter. There'd still been a true night then; the sun had still been legitimately setting, for several solid hours each night. Night-time temps would have been twenty below or lower.
Dean said, slowly, "Over Atigun in March? On foot?" The hiker nodded, and Dean had to shake his head in amazement, saying, "You must be one hell of a tough dude."
"I'm really not at all," the man said softly. For a long moment their eyes met, right across Sam.
The blue of his eyes was really quite shockingly intense.
He was really rather attractive.
And his frickin' ability to hold a stare was really pretty unnerving. Dean soon found himself stammering, "Um, anyway, ah, we just pulled over to see if you wanted a ride or something. There's a bit of weather up north, and it's supposed to come down this way later tonight. Not a real blizzard, just some light snow, maybe sleet. Couple inches, maybe an ice crust. Not too bad but it'll be getting cold."
"I'll be all right," the hiker said. "I'm used to the cold. It doesn't bother me. Well...." He hesitated, a doubtful expression crossing his face. "It doesn't bother me much. I'll admit I seem to be losing some of my former... abilities. I have felt the cold sometimes, a little bit, this year."
"Happens to the best of us," said Dean, with a grin. "Things get tougher every year, you know?" As the hiker nodded thoughtfully, Dean scanned the guy's face again, wondering now about his age. Faint crow's-feet at the corners of the eyes and the edges of his mouth.... bit of a life-weary look to the expression in his eyes. Late thirties, or early forties, maybe? Hard to say. (Whatever his age, he wore it well. Quite well.)
Dean added, "Anyway, you got some layers in that backpack of yours?"
There was a short pause.
"I... do," said the hiker slowly. "I do have... a layer. In my pack. Um, one layer."
Sam prodded, "A warm layer?"
"Um.... Yes." Again the odd hesitation. "It's warm, yes, if I... fold it around... or, I mean, extend... well, yes, it's pretty warm."
"Well, if cold bothers you at all," said Dean, "you're gonna be glad you got that. Even so, you should get back to your camp pronto, I think." He'd already made up his mind about the next step: "We can give you a ride."

General life update stuff. Good things :)
So before I stopped posting on here I mentioned I moved in with my boyfriend. I met him at a call center I was working at. At first we were both nervous as hell but then everything clicked. He’s the most thoughtful and caring person to ever enter my life. Very supportive and empowering. I also love his passion for music and things of old. Whether it be listening to vinyl records, or his classic Chevy C10 from 1971. He asked me once after talking about my past, our then current situation.. He asked if I’d ever marry him, and I had no hesitation with responding with yes. His name is Ed, and he told me once that the first time he saw me it seemed to him like all the lights were shining on me. He could also tell that I was hurting. It took me a while to get things out about my past, because sex was, and unfortunately still is difficult for me. This man made me realize the positive things to myself that I didn’t know where there. He’s made me actually want to live my life and words cannot express how lucky I feel to have him. It’s also funny when we hold hands in public. I’m 24 and he’s 26, yet looks a lot older than that. While I’ve got the opposite problem and look young. So you can imagine this results in some pretty hilarious looks that we get in public when holding hands. We got married on August 26th , 2018. My dad couldn’t make it, and I didn’t want my mom there. So the only blood family I had there was my sister. Despite that, it was still the most beautiful day of my life. I still haven’t talked to my mom for almost 3 years. Mostly because she is a toxic person and I just don’t want to deal with it. Not so much a hate thing. It’s hard when your mother has this toxic victim mentality and twists everything you say, and I simply have no interest in partaking. Ed’s family isn’t perfect but they’re super loving and supportive. We plan on moving to Oregon at some point when we have money saved up. Overall, I’d say life is good.

Harley-Davidson vs. Millennials (from the POV of a Millennial)
As of late, there's been a lot of talk about the scourge of Millennials and how they're ruining everything from bars of soap to lotto scratchers.
"Millennials aren't buying diamonds."
"They don't eat Big Macs."
"No of them watch cable."
And my favorite: "Millennials are killing Harley-Davidson."
As a Harley rider born between the years of 1981 and 1997, I feel obligated, no entitled, to lavish the internet with my opinion on the topic. Oh, coveted opinion, the most valid of all arguments.
I'm a new rider and when my bike search began, the choice was clear from the beginning: Harley-Davidson. I don't know if that decision is attributed to my obsession with Orange County Cycles when I was 13 or if I watched Terminator 2: Judgement Day one too many times as a kid, but nothing said motorcycle to me like a chopper. Long, relaxed, powerful. You had the perfect DNA for a mile-eater. A highway hauler. You had an American classic.
It was that image - that mysticism of the open road, that promise of freedom - that pushed me toward my nearest Harley-Davidson dealership. And that's when reality sunk in. For those that don't know, Harley-Davidson is the antithesis of cheap. Don't get me wrong, they're amazing, reliable machines, but when an Ultra Limited costs more than a new Camaro, you need a large quantity of disposable income to justify the purchase. Definitely not a comfort I can claim, so I relegated my options to the smaller models and stayed away from the more 'luxury' cruisers.
And when you come to think of it, every item listed at the beginning of the post is considered just that, a luxury. Diamonds, Big Macs, shit, even cable isn't really considered a necessity for survival - and motorcycles are no exception.
As a Millennial, I'm a big proponent of minimalism. Belonging to the generation that popularized tiny houses, it's probably no surprise that I live in a 300 sq ft studio apartment with my girlfriend and our dog. For context, that's like fitting your kitchen, closet, bath, living room and bed into a master suite. Far from palatial. Along those same lines, I only own a small selection of consumer goods. You can't own much when you don't have a place to put it. Due to the fact that I'm limited on quantity, I emphasize quality in the things I choose to buy, which are predominately American-made (Wolverine Boots, Gustin Denim, etc.).
I grew up in a blue-collar family. My grandfather was a baker, my uncles moved furniture, and my grandmother delivered party supplies for a living. While I've only held white collar jobs (film industry), I want to do my part to support that dwindling workforce in this country, to support the communities I came from. I guess my allegiance to the MoCo [1] is based less on nationalism and more on classism. All that to say, when I saw H-D's prices, I figured, "you’re paying for quality labor," but that type of purchasing pattern and reasoning isn't shared among my cost-driven, globally-minded peers. Couple that fact with the influx of urban dwelling in the past decade and you have a perfect storm for Harley sales.
Due to the elevated level of congestion in major cities, Millennials have taken to more nimble, handling-oriented motorcycles that can slither through stagnant streets. In LA traffic, it's practically impossible to squeeze a big bike between lanes. The other day, I knocked a lady's side mirror off with my Sportster, and my bars measure 24 inches in width! If I had a Softail, I would have been the meat in a vehicle sandwich. Because of these close quarters, this environment makes perfect sense for an FZ-09 or KTM Duke 690. They're perfectly suited to the urban landscape with their sleek design, technological controls, and standard ABS, which explains the recent shift toward that streetfighter style.
In the time of the Boomers, the motorcycle field in America was much more limited. Not only were the options minimal, but America was the land of highways, stretching over 2,600 miles, coast-to-coast. With hundreds of miles between cities, choppers were the perfect tool for the job, not to mention the ultimate self-expression on two wheels.
Nowadays, there are hundreds of brands to choose from and even more classes of motorcycles: Sport, Touring, Electric, Adventure, Scrambler, Literbike, Naked...GROM (just kidding). Back in the day, more people could also afford to live in the suburbs, allowing you to safely store your bike in a covered garage. But in the city, you have to worry about parallel parkers, drunk drivers, and thieves (I've seen 3 Softail theft ads in the past month in LA). You almost don't want to buy anything "too nice", including large $15,000 motorcycles.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to price. That's something on which Millennials, Boomers, and even Gen-Xers can agree. With the death of the Dyna (RIP), Harley has essentially erased the only Big Twin [2] attainable by blue-collared folk, while the new Softail pricing only appeals to those with six-figure jobs without six-figure student loan debt.

On top of that, I have numerous friends that are entering the most terrifying and financially taxing stage of lives: parenthood. When all is said and done, motorcycles aren't even the main mode of transport for most people, especially if you have a kid on the way (that’d be something). I know a lot of buddies/peers that expressed wanting a motorcycle after I purchased my Sporty, but unlike me, they don't lead a careless, Peter Pan-esque lifestyles. Some things in life you just don't get to plan, certain stages have to take priority over others, and if that means waiting until your midlife crisis to buy that new Road King Special, then the MoCo will have to wait.
All this to say, Harley-Davidson bikes are luxury items. They are, as Blockhead [3] recently referred to them, the Apple of motorcycles. They utilize classic design, adopt technologies later than most, deliver less capable specs than competitors, and upcharge the consumer. They're a luxury brand selling a lifestyle, a culture, an image. They cram nostalgia into new packages and sell it by the thousands. They charge $40 bucks for a t-shirt, $400 for a quarter fairing, and $600 for a 10K service. They're as boujee as they come, they just happen to dress up in a greasy mechanic's shirt.
But with all that off my chest - and damn, it felt good - as long as Harley's providing blue-collared American jobs, I'm buying. If my peers understood that it's not just the bike you're purchasing, it's the intangibles that come with it, would they do the same? If they realized that there's an entire community that comes with the motorcycle, would they want one? If they could comprehend the fact that every time I've pulled to the side of the road another Harley rider has made sure I don't need any help with repairing the bike, would they throw a leg over?
I guess, only time will tell, and over the next 10 years, H-D plans to release 100 new models. That means a drastic overhaul of their entire lineup, and if the new Softails are any indication of what's to come, they're headed in the right direction. For evidence of that, we need to look no further than the American auto market. In the early 2000s, Chevy, Ford, and Dodge delivered muscle car essence in a modernized package. The fervor around those heritage pieces helped the auto companies recover from the recession and stabilize.
If the MoCo can cater to the tastes of new riders while developing new technologies, there should be a healthy forecast for their future. With a new electric bike arriving in 2019 and models like the Bronx and Pan-America on the horizon, it feels as if Harley is listening to their fan-base and diversifying their portfolio.

America is a large land full of people that buy diamonds or sapphires, that eat Big Macs or arugula, that watch cable or Netflix, and the more Harley branches out, the more people will be able to enjoy it.

RITA ORA FT. CARDI B, BEBE REXHA & CHARLI XCX - GIRLS
[4.00]
Tag yourself I'm...
Pedro João Santos: It's 2018: the world's grown more colorful and "I Kissed a Girl"'s pseudo-sapphism has been duly revised. Yet somehow those involved in writing "Girls" didn't think it would open up a can of worms to repackage just that. Surprise: it did and Rita Ora's second era is now a landscape of chaos. (She did say "take me anywhere.") Other elements are, rather than offensive, flat and uninventive. The trap-lite, synthetic backing comes off as a perfunctory rehash of Lily Allen's "Our Time," Rexha's contribution is actively grating, Cardi's verse is, amusing, if not her best; Ora is really just there. XCX's palatable hook is of note, but even its simplistic nature belies her admirable pop nous. What's most insensitive about "Girls" is how it nears pop indigence. [4]
Alfred Soto: Writing about Ricky Martin and Elton John + George Michael a few days ago, I noted the existence of songs written about women by queer writers whose experiences with women extend no further than their own material. Whether anyone in the credits has experience with queerness matters less than the Bush II-era garishness of the approach. No one knows what the hell she's doing or what she's supposed to express except the most vaporous solidarity. [1]
Stephen Eisermann: I didn't think Rita had entered the queer-bait for controversy part of her career, but here we are. It's too bad that this half-baked, too-many-cooks mess is how she chose to drum up controversy, though. [2]
Lauren Gilbert: As a Certified Bisexual™, I would like to affirm that getting drunk on wine and wanting to kiss girls is indeed Bi Culture. More seriously, this song has attracted all kinds of controversy for its portrayal of bi women, but a) it's a jam, b) I feel like it accurately depicts a queer version of the same party-all-the-time-get-drunk-and-kiss-some-hot-people sexuality that Rita Ora (and Charli XCX) have made a career out of. This isn't Serious Queer Content; it's a gender-switched "Boys" with all the objectification that implies -- a "Boots and Boys" for the queer eye. It is not a bisexuality of late night crying of girls who will never love you (not that I speak from experience), but of "when I think about the bliss / of looking at the girls." It might have some cringe-worthy lines that imply sex exists for a male gaze, but the same can be said about many songs written by men and sung by women. If this song existed in a wide continuum of songs about girls who like girls, it would likely have attracted little attention. But we don't live in that world; Hayley Kiyoko is the exception rather than the rule. I am not sure that it is this song's fault, though; it is Fun, even when the lyrics are Questionable. It isn't "Bloom," and that's... fine by me? Pop songs can go pretty far on cringe-worthy lyrics and a decent hook, and the perfect (representation of queer culture and of queer lives) need not be the enemy of the good-enough. Queer girls need ludicrous party jams, too. [7]
Alex Clifton: Look, I'm glad we're getting more queer music overall. I'm here for songs that use same-gender pronouns unabashedly, and in that sense "Girls" has nothing to hide. It's unapologetic and sugary and loud. But it's also kind of boring. Repeating the word "girls" seventeen times in the chorus feels generic overall. I get no sense of these girls that they want; they're just nebulous ideas, flitting away. It's like a summer dream with the haze of "kush lovin'" floating over it; that seems better articulated than any of the girls sung about in the song. Quantity is good and needed, but I want the quality to be up there too, and sadly "Girls" feels like it's lacking in spirit. [4]
Juan F. Carruyo : A line-up reminiscent of the '69 Mets devote a paean to a late night hangout with friends that suddenly turns sexy. A lot of the lyrics just seem readymade for instant memeification ("'68 chevy, just rolling j's") which is a bit of drag. But the sentiment is honest and the production is adequate. Hoping for the male remake now. [6]
Mo Kim: I'm more offended by the laziness than the sloppiness of the subtext (which, to be fair, is a byproduct of the laziness): "Girls" lands like the debrief of a party even the teller only attended via Snapchat, such a simulacrum of queer joy that even the choice of car is most significant as a pop culture callback. And whereas the lyrics are light on substance, the performances are lethally leaden. Take it as a peculiar kind of equality that bisexual women like Rita Ora get to have their mediocre summer hits too. [4]
Will Adams: "Girls" shares a problem with "2002" in that its references are deployed carelessly and, as such, create implications that are at best questionable and at worst harmful. "Red wine" was the sticking point for many, but the kicker is that it has absolutely nothing to do with the song. Substitute anything else with two syllables -- Big Red, key limes, cheese puffs -- and nothing changes. But like Malibu or Chevy '68s, red wine is evocative of something, so red wine it was, which made listeners connect the dots from that to "cherry Chapstick" even more quickly (though it doesn't help when the artist makes the connection for you). I sympathize with Rita Ora's desire to write from her own experience, but "I'm fifty-fifty and I'm never gonna hide it" is an awkward way to go about it. Really, the most detail we get is the first line: "her name is Laura." The rest is a song that can't decide, per its co-stars, where it belongs: a giddy-yet-hazy crush song from True Romance (Charli XCX), dominance via a lion taming metaphor (Bebe Rexha), or unfazed, detached swagger (Cardi B). Rita's apology was heartbreaking for several reasons, most of which being the realization that as lead artist of the song the burden of the backlash fell on her -- a woman attempting to explain her sexuality -- instead of the fact that there were too many cooks, in writing and in artist billing, all trying simultaneously to be relatable to everyone and ending up nowhere. Sometimes we just wanna fit in. [4]
