Okay I can’t be the only one who is in LOVE with the idea of a Moulin Rouge AU (the more modern musical version) of Ducktales (2017) where (young) Scrooge is Christian, and (young) Goldie is Satine. And The Duke would be (a younger) John Rockerduck???

I can’t be the only one who likes this idea 😭

Like young Scrooge would be Christian because he’s still trying to make his fortune - he’s new in America.

Goldie would suit Satine because yk, Scrooge love interest, but ALSO because she has the whole ‘diamonds are forever, love is not’ sorta mindset.

And Rockerduck is there as the Duke because Glomgold isn’t ‘attractive’ enough for that role (if that makes ANY sense) and I feel like that’s something Rockerduck would do more than Scrooge.

Not to out myself as someone that’s been on tumblr for too long, but I’m so sad to see this new trend of people saying “I like this thing, even though the show isn’t airing anymore.” Like? That’s how things work! Keep enjoying them! Art doesn’t just vanish when it’s not airing, and it wasn’t made to be exclusively viewed live! 10+ years ago, the idea of saying “Ah, I’m still here in this fandom 2 years after the show was cancelled 😳” would have been BONKERS!

Yeah so I've actually never drawn Ducktales fanart but this ask made me want to do that so uh. Here.

It was tricky lol, I'm not the best at drawing anthro characters in general (the turtles are basically the only exception haha) and god their beaks ugh. It might've been easier if I tried copying the show's artstyle, but I wanted to incorporate more of my own style so eh. Whatever, I still had fun!
