Prince's Island Park, Calgary (No. 3)
Calgary's economy includes activity in the energy, financial services, film and television, transportation, and logistics, technology, manufacturing, aerospace, health and wellness, retail, and tourism sectors. The Calgary Metropolitan Region is home to Canada's second-largest number of corporate head offices among the country's 800 largest corporations. In 2015, Calgary had the largest number of millionaires per capita of any major Canadian city. In 2022, Calgary was ranked alongside Zürich as the third most livable city in the world, ranking first in Canada and in North America. In 1988, it became the first Canadian city to host the Olympic Winter Games.
Calgary was named after Calgary Castle (in Scottish Gaelic, Caisteal Chalgairidh) on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. Colonel James Macleod, the Commissioner of the North-West Mounted Police, had been a frequent summer guest there. In 1876, shortly after returning to Canada, he suggested its name for what became Fort Calgary. The Scottish Gaelic placename Calgairidh, in turn, possibly originates from a compound of kald and gart, Old Norse words, meaning "cold" and "garden". If so, the placename is likely a relic of Norse settler-colonists who occupied the Inner Hebrides in the medieval period. A competing etymology cites the Gaeliccala[dh] gàrraidh, which means "enclosed meadow (or pasture) harbour", or, alternatively, cala[dh]-gheàrraidh, meaning "harbour pasture". The first of these two possibilities, arguably translatable as "meadow harbour", has some relevance to local geography: the town of Calgary, such as it is, has a large meadow to its east, and this meadow leads to Calgary beach.

I've been putting together this list of Queer Holiday films for a while now and I'm honestly surprised at the amount I have found. Now I haven't seen most of these, a lot of these have Queer side characters and not main characters (I'll be sure to mention which ones are which). I currently have over 40 Holiday films that feature a Queer character, I'll obviously not be watching all of them this year but I'll watch a good bit of them and post my thoughts about the representation and how much said Queer character is actually shown in the movie and whether or not it should be on this list. (Apologies if any of these are wrong, again I haven't seen most of these). I’ll add to this list if I find more. Obviously the ones you don't want to pay for you can probably find *ahem* elsewhere..

Etienne Archambault’s: Review of the Rolex Submariner (Steel and Gold, Ref. 126613LB)
Tumblr media
Etienne Archambault, coming to you from St. John’s, Newfoundland, where watches aren’t just tools for telling time—they’re a deep-rooted passion, a challenge, and, in many ways, a way of life. Today, I’m diving deep into the Rolex Submariner in steel and gold, reference 126613LB, one of the most iconic and sought-after timepieces in the world. And here in Newfoundland, this watch is about as elusive as spotting an iceberg in July. But once you’ve laid your hands on one, it’s a game changer. Let me take you through why this two-tone Submariner is worth every bit of the chase.
The Quest for the Submariner: A Horological Pilgrimage in Newfoundland
First off, why is this watch so rare here in Newfoundland? In simple terms: limited supply, high demand, and geography. Newfoundland isn’t exactly Rolex’s first port of call, and with only a handful of authorized dealers in Atlantic Canada, getting your hands on a steel and gold Submariner can take years. Add to that the fact that Rolex intentionally limits production to maintain exclusivity, and you’ve got a recipe for a waitlist that feels longer than a Newfoundland winter.
The combination of Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold—also known as Rolesor—is another reason for the rarity. This two-tone design, introduced by Rolex in the 1980s, marries the durability of steel with the luxury of gold, creating an aesthetic that appeals to collectors like me, Etienne Archambault, who want a watch that’s a bit flashier than the all-steel Submariner but not as bold as the full-gold variant. Pre-owned models often go for $27,000 to $30,000, especially in Newfoundland’s constrained market. For many of us, the hunt for this watch becomes as important as finally owning it.
First Impressions: A Watch That Demands Attention
When you first hold the Rolex Submariner in steel and gold, reference 126613LB, the weight is the first thing you’ll notice. At 188 grams, it’s substantial, yet perfectly balanced. The blend of brushed Oystersteel and polished 18k yellow gold creates a striking contrast, a hallmark of Rolex’s legendary craftsmanship. Whether you’re outdoors in the subtle Newfoundland daylight or in a more intimate setting, the interplay of light on the gold accents is mesmerizing. It’s a watch that catches the eye but does so with a sense of understated luxury.
The 41mm case size fits comfortably on most wrists, offering an ideal mix of presence and wearability. For those familiar with earlier Submariner models, this newer iteration represents an evolution—subtle refinements in proportions and lug shape make it feel more compact on the wrist despite its larger case size compared to the pre-2020 versions.
The Movement: A Masterpiece in Precision
Now, let's talk about what powers this horological icon. Underneath its stunning exterior lies Rolex's caliber 3235, one of the most advanced movements Rolex has ever created. Introduced in 2015, the 3235 is an automatic mechanical movement that features Rolex's patented Chronergy escapement, which improves the efficiency of energy transmission by 15%. This improvement results in a longer power reserve—up to 70 hours—allowing the watch to keep ticking even after a weekend off your wrist.
Rolex’s dedication to precision shines through with the 3235 movement. It’s a COSC-certified chronometer, but Rolex goes further by subjecting it to additional in-house testing, ensuring an accuracy of -2/+2 seconds per day. The 3235 also boasts an optimized Parachrom hairspring made of an exclusive paramagnetic alloy, which is resistant to temperature variations and magnetic fields, ideal for the unpredictable elements of Newfoundland’s coastal weather. As someone who appreciates the technical side of watches, I, Etienne Archambault, can’t help but admire the engineering behind this movement.
Materials: Strength, Durability, and Luxury
The Submariner’s steel and gold version, reference 126613LB, is built using two of Rolex’s proprietary materials: Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold. Oystersteel, part of the 904L steel family, is highly resistant to corrosion and designed to withstand extreme environments. It maintains its polish and gleam over time, making it perfect for the salty, rugged terrain of Newfoundland.
The gold, of course, is Rolex’s own 18k yellow gold, crafted in its in-house foundry. Rolex controls the entire process, from smelting to shaping, ensuring the highest standard of quality. The combination of these materials—steel for strength, gold for luxury—is what gives the Submariner its dual personality: a robust tool watch with the elegance of a dress piece.
The bezel, made from Rolex's patented Cerachrom ceramic, is virtually scratch-proof and fade-resistant. The gold numerals and graduations are carved into the ceramic, then filled with gold, ensuring they will stand the test of time, no matter how many dives—or hikes up Signal Hill—you take. And yes, this isn’t just a metaphorical dive watch; it’s water-resistant to 300 meters, thanks to its Triplock crown system, making it just as functional on the Atlantic coast as it is under the boardroom cuff.
A Brief History of the Submariner: From the Depths to the Pinnacle of Luxury
The Rolex Submariner was first introduced in 1953 as a professional dive watch. Designed with input from military divers and underwater pioneers, it was the first wristwatch capable of withstanding depths of 100 meters—a breakthrough at the time. Over the decades, the Submariner has evolved, both technologically and stylistically, but it has always remained true to its roots: a dive watch par excellence.
The addition of gold into the Submariner line in the late 1960s marked Rolex's foray into blending utilitarian function with luxury. The two-tone model, or Rolesor, debuted in the 1980s, a move that further solidified the Submariner's place not only as a tool watch but as a status symbol. Today, it’s just as at home on the wrist of an adventurer as it is in a collection of high-end horology enthusiasts. For someone like me, Etienne Archambault, who values both functionality and style, this blend of ruggedness and luxury is exactly what I look for in a watch.
Pros: Why I, Etienne Archambault, Love This Watch
1. Versatility: The two-tone design allows you to wear the Submariner in virtually any setting—formal, casual, or rugged.
2. Durability: The Cerachrom bezel and Oystersteel case are designed to last, even in Newfoundland’s harsh, salty conditions.
3. Resale Value: The steel and gold Submariner holds its value exceptionally well, often appreciating due to its rarity, especially in smaller markets like St. John’s.
4. Comfort: Thanks to the Oyster bracelet’s Glidelock system, you can easily adjust the fit to match Newfoundland’s ever-changing climate, a lifesaver in both summer and winter.
Cons: A Few Drawbacks
1. Rarity: The long wait times in Newfoundland make obtaining this watch a test of patience.
2. Price: The addition of gold comes with a significant premium over the standard steel model, pushing it beyond reach for many buyers.
3. Attention-Grabbing: The two-tone design isn’t as low-key as the all-steel version, which may be a turn-off if you prefer more understated pieces.
Final Thoughts: A Timeless Classic in an Isolated Market
Living in St. John’s, Newfoundland, makes owning a Rolex Submariner in steel and gold feel like a treasure hunt. Yes, it’s rare, and yes, it’s expensive, but for those who appreciate craftsmanship and history, this watch is the epitome of all three. It’s a piece that will outlast trends and provide decades of reliable performance. Whether you’re wearing it to dinner or taking in the rugged beauty of the Newfoundland coast, the Rolex Submariner will always rise to the occasion.
If you’re fortunate enough to get your hands on one, don’t let it go—this is a watch for life.
Yours truly, Etienne ArchambaultWatch Collector and Enthusiast in Newfoundland

CANADA - YUKON
2023 Aug 11 (Fri) – We drove to Baby Nugget RV Park in Nugget City today.  The ride was just 3 hours on excellent roads.  We did not see any wildlife except for a lone eagle sitting in a tree down by a lake.
We had dinner in the café at 6 p.m.  The meal was spaghetti with salad, meat sauce, garlic bread, and ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce.  The owners, Scott and Linda, both took time to tell us about how they built their establishment up and how they operated for many years.  They go down to the U.S. and travel around Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and other states over the winter.  Following their talk, we held a travel meeting.
2023 Aug 10 (Thu) – We packed up and drove to Whitehorse returning to the Pioneer RV Park for one night.  We held a travel meeting in their rec room.  Several people decided they wanted to stop at a native cultural center, so Johnny had to redo the order of march.  While he went off to do that, we all played a game of trivia.
2023 Aug 9 (Wed) – We had a potluck tonight.  Squad B made a repast that satisfied us all.  Loren came in and told everyone about how he came to be in the Yukon and how he built his establishment up from nothing.  It was interesting and sad at the same time.  After the potluck, we held a travel meeting.
2023 Aug 8 (Tue) – We packed up and drove 7-1/2 hours from Tok to Destruction Bay over the worst roads yet.  There were potholes, construction, frost heaves, ruts, you-name-it.  We all arrived tired and spent.  The plan was to have heavy hors d’oeuvres at 5 p.m. but folks were still coming in at 6:45 p.m.  We gave them a half hour, then everyone brought their foodstuff to the campground building and we enjoyed a feast.
We were here in 2015 and Johnny in 2017.  We both remembered that the owner, Loren, made the experience very special.  He sang and played in a 3-person band.  He cooked dinner for the group and taught us to carve hiking sticks.  Today, he is an old man living in a broken down house.  He has no garbage contract so we had to take our trash out with us.  His pump is broken so we had no water connections.  Only 30-amp electric.  It’s sad to see what COVID did to the man and his business.

Olympic Games Legacy
The Olympic Games are an international sporting event that occurs every four years and is held in a different country each time. The aim of the Olympic games is to bring people to the host country and to drive sporting participation throughout the world. The Olympic Games cover a wide range of different sporting events from swimming to basketball and in 2024 breakdancing.
The most recent Olympic games were hosted in Tokyo, Japan. The Olympic games in Tokyo helped to increase their trading and economic status. It also played a greater impact on their transport, food and beverage, and accommodation. The Olympics was able to draw an extremely large audience to the games which led to Japan having to increase their transport levels and seek alternate accommodation for the large number of tourists.
The London Olympics affected many small businesses and greatly impacted the community (Duignan, 2019). The London Olympics impacted them in a negative way which normally does not occur when hosting the Olympics. It affected small businesses and communities because as soon as the game came to an end, it meant they were losing a large number of businesses. By it impacting small businesses it means that they were unable to profit from the Olympic games and that in the long run, it ended up impacting them negatively over positively. Following the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010, research showed that there was no impact on sports participation in the following years (Perks, 2015).
The Olympic game legacy has continued to grow over the years. Over the years there has been an extreme increase in the participation of tourists and the community of the host country. The Olympics is a great way to get people more involved in sports and helps to encourage participation in sports from all over the world.
Overall, the Olympic legacy includes vast benefits for the host country and community both pre- and post-Olympic games. In fewer countries, the Olympic games have had a negative impact on the host country and its local community. The large majority of countries have to seem to have positive outcomes from their hosting of the Olympic games.

THE LONG DARK CHEATS MRANTIFUN UPDATE
With an update later that October, Hinterland doubled the size of the playable area, and expanded it again in February 2015 to bring the size of the game world to 25 km 2. Instead of stretching his resources as a survivalist would, he felt 'like an insatiable force that roves through the environment, picking it clean.' Like Johnson, he criticised the limited area given to explore. In an early access review for GameSpot in October 2014, Nick Capozzoli too criticised unrealistic systems, noting that one should not need 'a dozen energy bars and a pound of venison to sustain yourself day-to-day' and that 'a crowbar lose half its integrity after being used to pry open a couple lockers'.
THE LONG DARK CHEATS MRANTIFUN FULL
John Walker, writing at Rock, Paper, Shotgun in August 2014, enjoyed the game and found it 'impressively full of things to do', but felt that the accelerated passage of time detracted from the realism. The easiest mode, 'Pilgrim', is for players looking for a more exploratory experience, 'Voyageur' is a middle ground and the most well rounded with regard to exploration and survival, 'Stalker' offers a more hardcore survival experience, and 'Interloper' is for players looking for a punishing, difficult experience.Īt GameSpot, Shaun McInnis had similar thoughts, seeing that while the survival genre was becoming ever more crowded, The Long Dark was 'one of the few games in this genre focused on capturing the solitary wonder of fighting to staying alive in the brutal wilderness'. Initially the game did not feature varied experience modes, but due to player demand, Hinterland added three experience modes to accommodate a range of playstyles, and a fourth mode added later. The game also simulates temperature and windchill, both of which are random during every playthrough, encouraging the player to monitor the weather carefully at all times to prevent death from exposure. The Long Dark simulates a full day/night cycle which is a fundamental part of the game. The player can also get sick from food poisoning and disease. The player has to forage for wood and fuel on a regular basis to stay alive. Fire, being a primary component, is necessary for warmth and cooking. Tools and items degrade over time, forcing the player to make careful decisions regarding their condition and their eventual need for repair. All items and wildlife are randomly spawned for every new game, so no two games will be alike for the player. Wildlife is also present, such as deer which can be hunted for food, and wolves and bears which are a constant threat to the player as they venture outside. This includes commodities such as food, water, firewood, medicine, and tools such as weapons, axes, knives and a host of other items. The objective is for the player to survive as long as possible by scavenging and utilizing whatever resources they may find within the world.

Downtown Vancouver (No. 2)
Vancouver has hosted many international conferences and events, including the 1954 Commonwealth Games, UN Habitat I, Expo 86, APEC Canada 1997, the World Police and Fire Games in 1989 and 2009; several matches of 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup including the finals at BC Place in Downtown Vancouver, and the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics which were held in Vancouver and Whistler, a resort community 125 km (78 mi) north of the city. In 1969, Greenpeace was founded in Vancouver. The city became the permanent home to TED conferences in 2014.
As of 2016, the Port of Vancouver is the fourth-largest port by tonnage in the Americas, the busiest and largest in Canada, and the most diversified port in North America. While forestry remains its largest industry, Vancouver is well known as an urban centre surrounded by nature, making tourism its second-largest industry. Major film production studios in Vancouver and nearby Burnaby have turned Greater Vancouver and nearby areas into one of the largest film production centres in North America, earning it the nickname "Hollywood North".

WORLD NEWS
Yemen: Hundreds of Houthi rebel child soldiers dead in Yemen war (BBC)
“Nearly 1,500 children recruited by Yemen's Houthi rebels died in fighting in 2020, and hundreds more the following year, the UN says. In a report to the Security Council, experts said rebels were still recruiting children, using summer camps and a mosque to spread their ideology. They added that air strikes on the rebels by Saudi-led forces were still inflicting many civilian casualties. More than 10,000 children have been killed in the war that began in 2015. Tens of thousands of adults have also died as a direct result of the fighting, with millions displaced and on the brink of famine.”
Canada: Truckers cause chaos in Ottawa after second day of protests (BBC)
“Protesters against a vaccine mandate for truckers crossing the US-Canada border have brought Canada's capital city to a standstill for a second day. Thousands of demonstrators joined the so-called Freedom Convoy in Ottawa. Police have started investigations after several incidents, including the appearance of swastika flags and footage of a woman dancing on the tomb of the unknown soldier.”
China: Beijing seals off more residential areas, reports 12 cases (AP)
“Beijing officials said Sunday they had sealed off several residential communities north of the city center after two cases of COVID-19 were found. The Chinese capital is on high-alert as it prepares to host the Winter Olympics opening Friday. Another 34 cases were confirmed among athletes and others who have come for the Games, the organizing committee said. In all 211 people have tested positive among more than 8,000 who had arrived by the end of Saturday.”
US NEWS
George Floyd: 2nd Trial centers on clash of duty, code (AP)
“A federal trial against three former Minneapolis police officers seeks to hold them responsible for not stopping George Floyd’s murder — and perhaps strike a blow against long-standing police culture that breeds reluctance to rein in fellow officers. The federal charges require prosecutors to prove the ex-officers willfully deprived Floyd of his constitutional rights — meaning that they knew what they were doing was wrong and still went ahead.”
Ukraine: US pledges to put Russia on the defensive at UN Security Council (AP)
“The U.S. worked Sunday to ramp up diplomatic and financial pressure on Russia over Ukraine, promising to put Moscow on the defensive at the U.N. Security Council as lawmakers on Capitol Hill said they were nearing agreement on “the mother of all sanctions.” The American ambassador to the United Nations said the Security Council will press Russia hard in a Monday session to discuss its massing of troops near Ukraine and fears it is planning an invasion.”
Afghanistan: Biden calls for release of US hostage (AP)
“President Joe Biden on Sunday called for the release of U.S. Navy veteran Mark Frerichs, who was taken hostage in Afghanistan nearly two years ago. Frerichs, a civil engineer and contractor from Lombard, Illinois, was kidnapped in January 2020 from the capital of Kabul. He is believed to be in the custody of the Taliban-linked Haqqani network.”

Hi lovelies.
Hockey is back. ❤️
And so here is another sweater weather chat. It’s split in two. So stay tuned 😘
All the love in the world for @lumosinlove and each and everyone of you! This fandom is truly a remarkable place 💖
Sweater weather chat #12 part 1
Dumo loses a bet. Sunny has a lot of stories. Sergei once had blue hair. He also fought a German suit. Snuck a few of my nhl heroes in here. See if you can spot them. Nado is dying from anticipation. Blizzard wants pictures. Olli is trying to stay on topic. Alice has questions. Sirius has no comments. We jinx the cup a tiny bit. I took some liberties with rosters and timelines for international hockey. No people were harmed in the making of this chat. Danes really are pesky meatball thieves. I love germans (just needed a bad guy).
Friday 7.22 pm
Prongstar: hey dumo. Not backing down from the bet?
Dumodad: no. I honor my word. You guys won. What do you want? Suicides, my car, my wife’s cooking?
Talkiewalkie: damn dumo. Pimping out Celeste
Dumodad: like the lot of you aren’t half in love with her or Anya. You’re not subtle
Krisvolley: I’d marry both with no hesitation. Between Anya’s piroggi and Celeste’s brownies, I’d be set for life.
Nadotheman:fuck you’d have to fight me and Kuny both for that krissy.
Russiangod: I already son of Anya. I take sergei’s place
Sergei_81: am not even 40 yet. Also you all boys. Can’t handle women. They need men.
Logantremblayzzz: it’s weird guys. Don’t crush on your team mates wives 😳 also Sergei you are 40....
Sergei_81: 🤬
Blizzard: don’t make sexy eyes at your goalie when he’s stretching. 🤪
Timmyforrealz: burnnnnnn hahahahahaha
Prongstar: potential adultery, sergei’s age and Logan’s inappropriate staring aside. Dumo lost our bet. And I’ve made a decision. Drumroll please 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Kuny: drdrdrdrdrrrrrrrrrrrr
Prongstar: thanks Kuny babe 😘
Prongstar: dumo! I want the truth about Prague. In this chat. In writing. You have 1 hr.
Dumodad: no.
Sergei_81: no
Sunnysideup: YES
Sunnysideup: I’ll tell them if you don’t 😜
Dumodad: it’s all your fault. Stupid Swede.
Sunnysideup: no one made you bet me. We won, fair and square!
Sunnysideup: the year was 2006. Turin, Italy. Winter Olympics. A brash Russian and a confident Canadian decided to make a bet with a lovely, young and innocent Swede.
Bradygunzz: innocent? 😂😂😂😂
Walkietalkie: wait weren’t you in Sweden then? Or am I missing something? How’d you even know these guys?
Kaneyoudigit: I thought this story was about Prague?
DumoDad: it is. It just started 9 years earlier.
Sunnysideup: some of my national teammates played with Sergei in the khl during the nhl ‘05 lockout. Dumo was signed to do some press stuff with us at olympics. Something about cross team friendships.
Logantremblayzzz: Wow you guys are ancient
DumoDAD: we were top 3 seeded teams and they picked the Russian with good English, a Swede who’s not scary and me. It was fun. And it turned into a bit of drinking after Sergei and sunny started arguing about the quality of vodka.
Krisvolley: you shouldn’t drink at the Olympics 😂
Sunnysideup: anyways. We bet and of course all three were convinced our respective teams would win. Of course, we all know who emerged victorious 😜
Sergei_81: you had Swedish murder twins not fair. Baby sedin slash me on purpose
DumoDad: he didn’t. That was a legit hit you big baby. Also we did better than the US.
Sergei_81: was not clean.
Sunnysideup: we’re not having this discussion again. You both lost. It was a clean hit. Also, the fun part was the bet itself.
Nadotheman: just fucking tell us. The suspense is killing me.😳
Siriusly: whAt did you do??????? Dumo!!!!
Sunnysideup: well. they got kitted out in lovely blue and yellow team colors. Hank’s idea - some fans gave him loads of body paint. Hahahaha also Sergei was sporting a very impressive buzz cut then. It was a thing. So we’ve got these two idiots painted in blue and yellow including sergei’s head. Unfortunately the dye wasn’t meant for hair. So he had blue hair for two weeks after. Anya is still mad at me about that one 😜
Nadotheman: so you just painted them blue and yellow? That’s like so anti climactic.
Logantremblayzzz: oh he’s not done 😂
CarbO’Hara: Logan tell usssss
Siriusly: how come you told him and not me? I feel betrayed.
DumoDad: I didn’t. Celeste did. Traitor.
Logantremblayzzz: I was sad and homesick and she wanted to cheer me up. 😍
Ollibear: I feel like we’re getting off topic
Logantremblayzzz: wait didn’t you then make them steal the Olympic flags from the hotel you were celebrating at and exchange them with Swedish ones?
Sunnysideup: indeed, Logan, and that went smoothly. So it turned into a thing that every time we compete all three in an international thing. We make the losers swap flags. It’s cute.
Prongstar: what about Prague then? That wasn’t until 2015? Was it?
DumoDad: and we all remember who won.
RussianGod: is also where butt slap come from then? Pre game one?
Sergei_81: not our fault. U had Crosby make heart eyes at zhenya. And no Kuny, not from there...
DumoDad: you’re never letting that one go? Hahaha poor Sergei.
Dumodad: also. the butt slap is an Old tradition. We had a playoff round ages back and I slapped him. We won. We’ve done it since. Works doesn’t it?
Sergei_81: you said “let’s go get them”. Still do. It works. All magic slap. I thought you say “ let’s go eat them” Still works hehe
Ollibear: again, we’re veering off topic, dumo.
Sunnysideup: well. Prague. I know Canada won. Golden boy got golden goal. Blah blah blah. But for some reason we had another bet 😜. Dumo cooked up a revenge for me and Sergei. But it was before the final. We were just heading into the second round and somehow ended up in another vodka related discussion (we all know Swedish vodka is superior).
RussianGod: Swedish vodka is water. Russia best.
Sergei_81: was stupid idea. But vodka make us brave.
DumoDad: I never told you to start climbing that flag pole. You decided that on your own. I just told you to get me the flag.
Sunnysideup: he did climb that pole like a fireman though.
Timmyforrealz: hold up a sec. you’re telling me sergei “i never smile and my looks can literally make opponents wet themselves” Ivanov climbed a flag pole while drunk and it looked good?
Sunnysideup: he was wearing a “I love Canada” onesie and crocs. Which was about 6 sizes too little. We both were.
Newt-leo: we’re going to need pics of this.
Sunnysideup: well. The onesies were one thing. Still not sure how we got corralled into it. But anyways as I remember Sergei did successfully steal the flag from the hotel and started on the cars outside. We just didn’t know it was some group of fancy politicians also in town to watch hockey.
Dumodad: you Europeans and your weird politicians. Apparently the little politic guy didn’t like Russians. So his body guard tackled Sergei down. Sergei fought back. And somehow I ended up in the tangle of suits and Canada onesies.
Sergei_81: he blame Russia for stupid shit I might get mad. Police came and put us in little jail in hotel. Sunny no where
Sunnysideup: I went to get help. I didn’t know you were going to fight the bodyguards of the German minister of trade now did I?
Dumodad: was it German? I thought it was Spain. The flag was yellow and red.
Krisvolley: wait so. In the middle of an Olympic tournament, the three of you (all dads and husbands by 2015) gets shitfaced on vodka, go on a flag stealing rampage through Prague and get tackled by German secret services? 😫
Sergei_81: not Prague just one hotel. And car park. And house opposite.
Siriusly: how did you get out?
Sunnysideup: I bailed them out. Or. I managed to explain that they’re big hockey stars and got backstrom and oveckin to come and support me.. Ovi just giggled. Backy just stared until they agreed. He’s scary. Sergei was cursing a lot. Dumo was crying at one point... hehehehe he . I think dumo was nearly benched no after?
DumoDad: somehow the team found out and little mr captain was not happy?. Also at this point sergei was mostly naked as the onesie gave up halfway through wrestling Germans. We got a big fine, had to formally issue an apology to the German delegates and the hotel. And Sergei had to pay another fine for embarrassing Russia 😂
Sergei_81: they happy I hit German but I couldn’t say hehe. Also lost a croc never found it. Walk home in one shoe 👟
Siriusly: I can’t believe you almost caused an international incident because you were arguing about vodka.
Sunnysideup: you should see us scandies when it comes to the origins of meatballs. Pesky Danes trying to steal credit. 🤬
Blizzard: and you’re all still talking about me and the fountain. Also. We were on the lions team then? How come you’ve managed to keep this quiet? Also. Where are the pictures of this? I have so many questions.
DumoDad: Sunny has pictures. And so does the Czech police. And maybe the hotel. And it stays that way.
Blizzard: sunny. I want pictures.
Sunnysideup: lord Stanley will decide ❤️ also pretty sure both ovi and backy has some. For revenge purposes.
Siriusly: DONT jinx.
Prongstar: you broke cap.
