Ziam is real, climb on board

For the first time, we’re experiencing a genuine influx of people looking into Ziam, the real relationship between Zayn and Liam. And honestly it’s about time. It’s always been so beautiful and devoted and consistent and visible to those willing to invest and find out for themselves. It’s also been so unseen and dismissed and a bit buried by Larry too. I’m a Larry too, but right now I’m all about Ziam. I’m really happy Ziam is getting there deserved time seeing some light.

I’m not here to convince anyone. Ziam isn’t new, it has been around and discussed and real since 2012 when we believe their relationship started extending beyond friendship. There is an existing treasure trove that can be sought out by people willing to open their mind and examine it, especially from Zayn and Liam themselves. Right from the start and up until present day. 

The truth is we are experiencing a moment we weren’t expecting. First with Liam’s death. Now with Zayn touring for the first time ever as a solo artist. 

People are interested in Liam and that is a normal reaction. People are noticing a lot of things that don’t make sense and are curious and questioning that. People can’t make sense about his relationship with his “girlfriend”, the public PR performance at his funeral of a select group of celebrities (all aligned with Modest, Simon Jones PR or existing narratives regarding the boys) and of course the narrative around his “son” Bear.

Usually when things don’t make sense, there is a good reason, we know this with Larry too, and so in the same way people should look and critically engage. Gaps can’t always be filled when we are dealing with public media narratives that then clearly don’t align with who a person really is consistently as a human. It's pretty hard work for all involved to contain a decades plus closet, in times like this. That is a big part of what people are noticing with Liam. They should question public narratives and media. Liam wanted to be seen and heard for who he really was, and celebrating and talking about Ziam right now is one of the biggest parts of seeing and knowing Liam. Its not disrespectful if you've done the work to see and know, just like with Larry.

Now we also finally have Zayn touring for the first time ever as a solo artist. Seeing him on stage after a 10 year wait is kind of exhilarating and like any of the boys you get a reminder on stage of who the person really is, really leaning in and hearing the lyrics live and seeing his being. Zayn is very definitely coding to us in a way that he hasn’t been able to do so before. He knew we would be looking and he wants to be seen. He is literally telling us that he is honest and truthful in his music. Zayn’s public narrative has never made sense either, it's all the same closeting stuff. Copy of a copy of a copy.

The narrative set up for Room Under the Stairs was actually quite strange, and in reality it translates very poorly to the lyrics and the emotions. So many gaps and things that don't make sense. In the future I will share some analysis on RUTS. I’ve been immersed in the album non-stop since May. The album to me is mostly about his closet - the pain it has caused him, the effect it has had on his relationship, the pain and effect it has had on his long term partner, the ways in which he has had to reframe his mindset to live within the reality of his closet, the ways he has changed his lifestyle to focus on the simple things in life to help his mental health impacted by his closet (and other things). Yet throughout all that heartbreaking pain, he still talks about his person, his lover, he refers to 'they' in many key lyrics, he brings his partner into the lyrics clearly, lyrics that clearly refer back to past and present times. Its the same person, it always has been in Zayn's lyrics. He tells them and us that he wouldn’t change anything despite all that pain, that their love has been worth it, that he is devoted, that their love was like stardust from the start until forever. The most specific songs relating to his person haven't been included on the tour setlist - How it Feels, The Time, False Starts, Grateful, Something in the Water and of course Stardust. They are the strongest songs on the album, the ones that have made me cry non-stop for the last 6 months. I suspect he rearranged the setlist, they would have been too hard to sing live. Instead we see a few B sides we wouldn't have expected on tour. I hope more people will listen to RUTS, it's absolutely devastating, empowering and life affirming and you can really see and feel who Zayn is.

In 2012 C/O Berlin developed a very special publication for the first monographic exhibition in Germany of the work of Larry Clark from 26 May to 12 August. Exhibition concept Felix Hoffman, Publication concept Felix Hoffmann. The catalog is designed as a triptych gatefold album cover and thus reflects the themes of the retrospective in both form and content: youth culture, sexuality, and music.

In the two outside pockets are lavishly produced color poster collages; in the middle pocket is a 24-page booklet with a text by Felix Hoffmann, Curator of C/O Berlin, as well as other pictures and collages.

Adolescent beauty, sexuality and drug-induced action—Larry Clark radically and realistically documents the everyday life of US teenagers, transgressing bourgeois moral concepts. From the drug scene in his hometown of Tulsa in the early 1960s to contemporary skaters in Los Angeles his works capture extremely intimate moments. The authenticity of Clarke’s images expose the consequences of a dysfunctional society and question the social responsibility and moral stance of its members.

The revolutionary and unique aspect of his photographs is—to this day – the closeness and intimacy between him and the documented persons and situations. As opposed to a classical photo-journalist who views an unfamiliar world from the outside, Larry Clark does not only take an interest in the life of his protagonists. Far removed from any form of voyeurism, he himself is a fundamental part of the scene he photographs. It seems as if he has a familiarity with the persons portrayed rather than just observing them. Without Larry Clark, photography would not have freed itself from the constraints of objectivity. Hardly any other photographer has ever achieved the same degree of intensity with which he immerses himself in his subject. It is here that the artist revives his own youth—each time with new protagonists.

I have exactly one comparison that ticks both of the boxes. I think so at least. TVXQ were a highly successful five member boy band before things happened…. There was way more in play than shipping but it was an interesting factor. The divorce is still talked about at length and all the lore is simply amazing. It happened slightly before 1D tho, they disbanded in 2010/11.

Oh wow anon - that's completely wild. Thanks so much for sharing this it's really useful contextual information. I loved learning about the Dangerous Love episode and the fanfic contest. Such a different approach to shipping bandmates.

I'm belatedly getting back to a conversation from November as new people were being exposed to the Larrie canon as the result of increased attention to 1D.

It's been clear since the pandemic that what I've come to call 'the Larrie canon', a collection of fan curated video clips made between 2010-2012, had real power. That people would keep seeing that set of videos and keep being convinced by them.

In November, I started to wonder what it was about them that made them so compelling - and whether there were other examples of other set of videos. A lot of compelling moments come when they're not performing for the cameras - and don't seem to be used to the fact that they're on (it's why videos of radio interviews are such a big feature). It was about a particular historical moment when cameras were more common, and it was very easy for video to be saved, but nobody was used to that fact yet.

From what I've seen TVXQ weren't quite the same. They were significantly earlier than 1D - and so the footage that was captured of them all looks intentional - it all looks like they knew they were being filmed and performing for the cameras. I'd be interested if I'm wrong, but that's what I got from the link.

I'm still interested if there is another ship out there that has a fan canon like Larrie.

blog opened in april 2012 and i started off as a zayn blog

in 2014 i ventured into the 5sos fandom

2015 onwards i was into kpop and then mainly bts

kept up with 1d's solos (mostly harry and zayn's because they were my favorite) but nothing more than that

since november 2024 i am Back and this time.... Larry lol

did i ship larry during my 1d fandom days? a little... but i never really believed they were in a relationship. i knew either one or both of them were probably gay and may come out in the future but not much else. it's so much fun to look back on old interviews now and certain moments have new meaning to them??? (before i just thought they were super cheeky and joked around a lot)

Tbh I kind of agree with your Larry post except I don’t think Harry was in love with Louis or that they were actually in love with each other, or that they necessarily did~ anything with each other. I think at the very beginning of 1d harry was infatuated/had a crush on Louis. I do believe Harry is sexually fluid (since he doesn’t label himself it’s the only terms that fits imo) and as someone who was around for the peak 2011-2012 days especially there were some genuine weirdly intense moments that I can remember between them. However like you said larries and tinhats have always taken it way too far

Yes, as we can see, Harry was nervous and more so because of the kiss that Louis gives him in the original video, he tells him that he is very cute. I firmly believe that Louis fell in love with Harry first and managed to win him over, since later Harry would do many things for him.

We went to 2011 this year I love it because Harry and Louis were inseperable although Louis had a girlfriend so remember that Louis got married in 2011 and that's when the complications would start since there were surely fights I'm not saying it's just that it can happen that out of jealousy or ect. We all remember the One Direction interview that was done in Dallas in which Louis says that many fans believe that he and Harry are dating. High School Love - Larry AU Fic Update

Back in 2011-2012, if you happen to be around my age or were someone who spent a lot of time online, you might remember how fanfics were incredibly popular on YouTube during that time. It was such a big trend, and many people, including myself, got involved in creating and sharing these kinds of stories. I ended up publishing one myself, and to my surprise, it gained a fair bit of attention and traction among viewers. It was a project that I was really proud of back then, and it seems to have stuck with me ever since. Now, years later, I’ve been revisiting that story and working on rewriting it to give it a fresh new feel while still holding on to the essence of what made people enjoy it in the first place.

At the moment, it consists of 30 chapters, and I add new updates whenever I have the time to work on it. However, my primary attention and effort are directed toward my other series, which is my main focus right now.

If you’re a fan of Heartstopper and enjoyed its story, there’s a good chance that you might really like this story as well.

Hi! That last anon made me think about H with women and what issue may be here.

For me, it can be a bit tricky. I noticed that ppl who left his fandom, or have an issue with his public relationships, can push this narrative that he has some problem with women, because let’s be clear here, his dating history and how he allegedly treats his “girlfriends”, is very messy. At least Louis’ had some moments when “he” defended E, like in the airport, or on twitter (we know it wasn’t him tho) or during interviews when he looked uninterested as hell, yet managed to say that Larry rumors offend E or whatever. We know that if you look deeper, you can see some inaccuracies here, but with H you can’t genuinely believe that he is dating any of those girls, without painting him as a prick or bad boyfriend, cause he just does his jobs with beards and then, he’s done.

E supporters or het Louis stans use those scripted moments to show that L is straight or whatever, and the fact that compared to H he still hasn’t had that many beards (still too much tho). The thing is, you can’t think that any of them is dating those girls, without thinking that they must hate them, or just tolerate them with the way they are moving. H completely ignores his gfs, he never defended any of them and gained a homewrecker status as well during Holivia. Louis who even tho ppl outside of bubble call uninterested in hookups, allegedly hooked up with a groupie who he has a son with.

With H you get beard after beard, and he can’t “last long” in those “relationships”, and each of them looks the same. He’s in his 30s, yet his public persona looks childish when it comes to dating, cause what do you mean this man can’t keep up a longer relationship or defend his “loved ones” from the public backlash? It looks like, he has some issue when it comes to dating and being loyal or whatever, or is “sex addicted”, cause he can’t talk about those girls with love in his eyes, or address them at all. Yes, he denies those claims and if you look closer, something’s off, but those girls are still here, and they come and go.

Yes, if you look closer at every relationship both H and L has been in with women, it's very apparent that they're loveless, the narratives sourrounding the relationships are full of plotholes and that they make no effort to stay in these relationships.

Harry was branded a homewrecker long before Holivia. That happened back in 2012 with Lu*y Horo*in. I don't know how much longer H can keep jumping from relationship to relationship and not really make any effort or sacrifices to make the relationship last, before people catch on to his fake scheme. He's in his 30's now and the number of relationships he's been in is staggering. I also wonder how long Louis can go without being connected to a woman before people start asking questions. They're both mia now and i really wonder how this next era for them both will play out. We'll have to wait and see.

He carried a white kerchief and dabbed the sweat on his forehead, playing part of a gracious southern gentleman, tipping his hat to lady passers-by. I am sure he is doing the same in heaven, or something a lot like heaven."

"Larry's great talent in filmmaking was partly his ability to get emotions from the scene in the editing room. His touch would bring out the soul and magic. He did an edit on the bonfire scene at Puyre in Human Highway that he cut to my song 'Goin Back'. It was magical to me.
