Schneeber 1st part

The Schneeberg, with its 2,076-metre (6,811 ft) high summit Klosterwappen, is the highest mountain of Lower Austria, and the easternmost mountain in the Alps to exceed 2000 m. It is a distinctive limestone massif with steep slopes on three sides.

On clear days, Schneeberg can be readily seen from parts of Vienna, some 65 km (40 mi) away (as the crow flies) and even from Bratislava in Slovakia.

It is a beautiful mount and beautiful town called Puchberg am Schneeberg with a pound and a playground in the center.

The town looks as neat as a dolls town.

There is a train station. There are only two lines - one is up on the mount and second one is to Wiener Neustadt.

Hiking is an option to go up on the top, but not for me. And honestly, not many people choose it. Most of us, humans, shoose Salamander train.

It coasts around 15 e per child (6-15) and around 30 per adult. The journey takes 40 mins up and 38 down. It stops on a halfway on Baumgartner station for 5 mins.

There's a restaurant and a take away window where you can take delicious Knapfen or whatever they call it. You can stay there and wait for the next train, they come every half an hour. By the way I did stay to enjoy the landscape.

Unfortunately it was a cloudy day, but nobody told me that cloudy day is a really cloudy day.

I enjoyed my trip but unfortunately I could not see anything further than 10 meters, saying nothing about views and panoramas. Any way I went to Fischerhütte, which is only 20 meters lower then the highest point. Why I shoosed this destination? Because you can eat there! If you try really hard, you could find a house on the picture.
