tuesday 2.18.2025. i have complaints for the university and city at large for its failure to cancel class and borderline neglect to salt and plow the roads. i left right before peak rush hour and not a single main street, residential street, or highway was plowed except for the main road in my neighborhood. my commute was not fun and it was all for naught!! the in-person oci i drove to campus for was moved to zoom. right when i entered the building. horrible luck and i was stuck in a suit all day for no reason :((( but good news, i finally got my refund for the boots i returned over a month ago! i didn't even get an apology for them not responding to any of my 3 requests for an update but it's ok bc they refunded the return shipping :) my oci tomorrow was rescheduled so hopefully (i am crossing my fingers so hard and might put a spoon under my pillow or whatever it is) the weather will be as bad as it's predicted and i'll get to stay home for zoom classes.

total study time- 10 hours 50 minutes

4 hours 30 minutes in class

2 hours in interviews and prep

45 minutes preparing for an employment law exercise

2 hours 45 minutes reading legislation and doing practice problems

50 minutes reading crim pro

“Dean!”

Both your voice and Sam’s intermixed with a clap of thunder as the hunter rolled along the aisle of headstones. With a crunch, his head collided into a bundle of roses next to the cement piece, and then he laid still, face-first in the dirt.

“Dumb little shit,” The demon wrapped a long hand around her hair before bending to spit out a wad of blood and mucus, “You two as dumb as he is?”

Anger boiled inside of you, vibrations tingling down your arms to the knife in your hand. You desperately wanted to take a step, run over and check on Dean, and you sensed Sam was in the same boat. First, you had to deal with the small gang, especially the one still holding Bobby’s arms behind him.

“Don’t even bother,” Turning her black eyes to stare you down, the demoness smirked. “You saw me beat the shit out of him. He’s dead.”

“Bitch,” You hissed.

“Oh, I’m the bitch? Who was the one who called dear sweet little Deany-Pie at the first sign of trouble? When he was safe, in his bed where no one could hurt him.” She strode forward, her teeth clashing with every word. “He’s dead because of you.”

“Don’t,” Sam started, his voice low, but two minions barreled into him and knocked him onto his back.

“They’re all going to be dead.” With a lurch of her hand, the demoness strangled your neck. A squeak came out of your mouth as you tried to breathe, clawing at her arm and only succeeding in making her laugh. “Every. Single. One.”

The skies opened at that moment, sending down bone-chilling rain to dampen the earth. White clouded your vision as your air supply lessened and you hoped that at least something good would come out of this nightmare.

Two hands wrapped around your waist just as the demon shrieked, her head thrown back. Bobby clutched the edge of the demon knife, thrusting it further into her spine. Your legs gave out as you panted furiously but Sam supported you. Two of the remaining demons gaped in fear before opening their mouths wide to disappear into different bodies.

“Come on,” Sam muttered.

Adrenaline gave you enough strength to run over with him, collapsing onto your knees in front of Dean. Sam helped roll him over, his face covered in blood and dark soot. You instantly went for his chest, turning your ear and praying to hear any sort of movement.

“Dean!” Sam’s bellow could have woken the dead, his deep voice riddled with pain.

“No, no, no, no, no…” You clasped your hands, pounding into Dean’s sternum in an unsteady rhythm, unaware of your murmurings. Instinct took over as you formed your mouth over his, pinching the bridge of his nose and sending a blast of air into his lungs. Then you went back to his chest.

“Y/N, he’s…”

“I DON’T CARE!” You screamed, pushing harder and harder. Slowly, Sam put his hand on your shoulder as tears blurred your vision. You sat back, sobbing.

Dean’s hand twitched. He coughed. He moaned. He rolled over onto his side.

“Sweet mother…” Bobby whispered.

You pounced, wrapped your arms around Dean’s torso and burying your face into his shoulder. Dean lay onto his back, bringing a hand up to your hair. You wept openly over him, not able to stop yourself even after Dean whispered into your ear and hugged you tighter.

“I think you’re suffocating him, Y/N.”

“I don’t care.”
