Food and Drink: Food in Pakistan is generally very affordable, with local street food options available for as little as $1-2 USD per meal. A typical restaurant meal can cost between $5-10 USD, while a beer or soft drink can cost around $1-2.
Transportation: The cost of transportation in Pakistan can vary depending on the mode of transportation. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Careem and Uber are relatively inexpensive, while domestic flights and long-distance buses can be more expensive. For example, a one-way flight from Karachi to Islamabad can cost around $50-70 USD.

US citizens are eligible to apply for an e-visa to visit Pakistan. The e-visa is an electronic travel authorization that allows visitors to enter Pakistan for tourism, business, or transit purposes.
Pakistan visa for US citizen online
To apply for an e-visa for Pakistan, US citizens need to visit the official website of the Pakistan Electronic Visa System (https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/). They must create an account, fill out the application form, upload the required documents, and pay online visa fees.
The documents required for the e-visa application include the following:
A valid passport.
A recent passport-sized photograph.
A copy of the flight itinerary.
The visa fee varies depending on the type of visa and the duration of stay in Pakistan.

My Hobbies
By the way, I have many hobbies. But gardening is one of them. Gardening is commonly practiced to grow and cultivation of plants as part of gardening. In gardens, ornamental plants are often grown to show off their flowers, plants or the whole. Useful plants, such as root vegetables, leafy vegetables, fruits and herbs, are grown for use as a dye, or for medicinal or cosmetic use. Many people consider gardening a relaxing activity. There are also many studies on the positive effects of gardening on mental and physical health. From orchards with one or more different types of shrubs, trees and herbs to Tall Boulevard plants, to gardens that include lawns and foundation plants, and to container gardens that grow indoors or outdoors. Gardening can be very skilled, growing only one type of plant, or involving multiple plants in mixed planting. It involves an increased participation in plant growth, and involves hard labor, which distinguishes it from agriculture or forestry. Gardening is best and fun. I have been interested in gardening since I was young. The garden is a place that gives peace of mind and soul. In addition, gardening can be an interesting and rewarding hobby.
Benefits of Gardening: Horticulture takes a lot of effort to grow and maintain. Garden is the only place in the house that calms the senses and gives a pleasant feeling to the mind and body. You can install the platform in the garden and enjoy beauty of your garden when you sitting on this platform. Another benefit of plantation is that you can grow organic vegetables and fruits at your home.  These fruits and vegetables in large quantities so you can share these fruits with your neighbors and establish good relationship with your neighbors. Homemade fruits and vegetables are more delicious and has good taste as compare to those fruits and vegetables we buy from bazaar and street. Moreover, I have a lot of flowering plants in my garden that give off a nice scent that makes the atmosphere light and fragrant. My flowering plants in my garden include different roses such that jasmine, sunflowers, black roses, tea rose, tuberose, lotus, hibiscus, and many more. But my favorite is the open night jasmine whose fragrance spreads at night and makes the whole house fragrance.
Maintenance of the Garden:
Every person understands that planted trees and plants is a simple task and anyone trowel can do it easily. One gardeners and the people who knows gardening those people knows the effort and energy which required in the gardening. Not only water is sufficient for plants they also need fertilizers. Also to keep them healthy and fresh they need caring on regular basis.
Mostly plants are green which means they need adequate sunlight. Many people hire professional gardeners to take care of their gardens but it is more pleasant to do it yourself. It helps us to attach with the garden.
Grow the Garden:
Most of the plants and trees are in my garden are planted by either me or my friends. We are going to the nursery every season to bought seasonal plants and most of the flowering plants are changed  in every weather because most of the plants are died due to climate and temperature change.
After purchasing the plants we plant them in a critical order. So that garden looking more beautiful. I can say that gardening is very fruitful and adequate habit.
It helps to attach with human nature with greenery and love. Also for most of the people the best childhood memories are attached to the garden. The garden is the place where families sitting together, take evening tea and share their conversation that keeps bond strong. A garden is one of the most wonderful paces in the house, no matter what the weather is like.
Purpose of Garden:
Most people have affection with plants and trees that’s why they grow garden in their homes. Garden provides a comfortable atmosphere with fresh air. And on the other hand it adorns our house and gives off a pleasant fragrant that makes the whole house fragrant. Green plants grow better outdoors because outdoor plants need more sunlight to grow than indoor plants. This sunlight helps them make their own food through process called fossynthesis is that they eat.
Travelling:
My another hobby is travelling. I travel to different cities of Pakistan over time by time. Travel gives the opportunity to experience other cultures. You have a culture of your own that you may not realizing is very different from other countries.
Benefits of Travelling:
1. We get peace of mind from travelling.
2. It takes you out of your relief area.
3. Improve your communication skills
Travelling helps us to learn different languages. It’s a great way to use your brain and think and speak in another language. As soon as you feel the slightest change of thought, make journey in the same journey and put it into practice. Most locals are happy to help you learnt the language and value the fact that you are trying.
Travel will help to increase relationship through new events. It does not problem if you have a partner or not. There are many tours in which you can make plugins and make new buddies. Don’t use the justify of not being alone. Travelling may be costly hobby but it refund economic loss. As a hobby travels keep us busy during free time, the best way to use the time.
Unless a person is physically and mentally and physically exhausted. No one can be satisfied. Travel help us to take rest. In a new place curious and interesting to know all the unknown information about this place that he had neither read nor heard before the thrill and wonder which keeps the excitement alive and us encourages travel.
During the journey one comes across many people from many different backgrounds and locations. By talking to them, he also learns about their heritage. If one has a psychological inclination in one’s mind, one’s experience and ability to understand others increases. Understanding human nature is probably the best part of education. Travel fulfils all the requirements of a good hobby. It is absorbing education and refreshment for the mind, body and emotion.

Climate change makes freak Siberian heat 600 times likelier (AP) This year’s freak Siberian heat wave is producing climate change’s most flagrant footprint of extreme weather, a new flash study says. International scientists released a study Wednesday that found the greenhouse effect multiplied the chance of the region’s prolonged heat by at least 600 times, and maybe tens of thousands of times. In the study, which has not yet gone through peer review, the team looked at Siberia from January to June, including a day that hit 100 degrees (38 degrees Celsius) for a new Arctic record.
Mail delays likely as new postal boss pushes cost-cutting (AP) Mail deliveries could be delayed by a day or more under cost-cutting efforts being imposed by the new postmaster general. The plan eliminates overtime for hundreds of thousands of postal workers and says employees must adopt a “different mindset” to ensure the Postal Service’s survival during the coronavirus pandemic. Late trips will no longer be authorized. If postal distribution centers are running late, “they will keep the mail for the next day,″ Postal Service leaders say in a document obtained by The Associated Press. “One aspect of these changes that may be difficult for employees is that—temporarily—we may see mail left behind or mail on the workroom floor or docks,″ another document says. The changes come a month after Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, a major donor to President Donald Trump, took over the sprawling mail service. In a memo titled “PMG Expectations and Plan,″ the agency said the changes are aimed at “making the USPS fundamentally solvent which we are not at this time.″ Postal Service officials, bracing for steep losses from the nationwide shutdown caused by the virus, have warned they will run out of money by the end of September without help from Congress. The service reported a $4.5 billion loss for the quarter ending in March, before the full effects of the shutdown sank in.
Twitter Hack Exposes Frailty of the Digital Public Square (Foreign Policy) Twitter accounts belonging to high-profile business leaders and politicians were hacked yesterday in the biggest security breach in the website’s 14-year history. Fortunately, the goal of the hackers was more con artist than saboteur. Accounts belonging to business leaders such as Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates as well as Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and former U.S. President Barack Obama all posted a version of the same message: A call to donate money to a cryptocurrency account in return for your money back twice over. Despite the millions of followers these accounts have, the scam seems to have convinced very few of them. Only about $120,000 in bitcoin has been deposited to the hacker’s accounts, according to Reuters. Although the refrain “Twitter is not real life” is often used as a putdown toward the social media-addled masses, the website can have an outsized grip on reality. In 2013, a hacker took control of the Associated Press Twitter account and wrote a hoax tweet describing explosions at the White House. The tweet was quickly deleted, but not before tricking high-frequency trading algorithms—sending the U.S. stock market into a flash crash.
Barbados wants you to work from its beaches during the pandemic (NYT) In the first half of 2020, governments around the world imposed entry restrictions or strict quarantine procedures; flight traffic fell to its lowest level in decades. Many are confined not just to their countries, but also to their homes, as offices were shut down along with travel. But even as the pandemic continues to rage, the government of Barbados, a country in the eastern Caribbean, is sending a very different message: Come here, not just for a holiday, but for up to a year. Bring your laptop. Soak up the sun, the sea, the sand—and forget about the coronavirus. Dubbed the “Barbados Welcome Stamp” and launching this week, the program will allow visitors to stay on the Caribbean island visa-free for up to one year. The aim is to attract remote workers, with a bill to be introduced in Parliament by the government that will remove the local income taxes that normally kick in after six months. The program has unsurprisingly sparked global interest. Considered from a cramped apartment in London or New York, working remotely on a beach has an appeal even to those who know little about Barbados. Barbados is not the only country trying to open up to laptop-toting foreigners. Estonia is to launch its own long-awaited “Digital Nomad” visa program in the coming months, and countries including Georgia, Germany and Costa Rica already have visa programs geared toward freelancers.
A fight over nude swimming marks return of pre-coronavirus banalities in Europe (Washington Post) LYCHEN, Germany—There is perhaps no better sign that people are eager to move on from the coronavirus than the fact that this German lake district town is embroiled in a heated debate about nude swimming, and it has drawn national attention. The local council’s ban on naked swimming—and other activities such as naked yoga—has returned the town to the banalities of pre-coronavirus summers and earned it a spot on the national public broadcaster’s nightly newscast, where it received more airtime than the United States’ spiraling coronavirus outbreak that day. Nude swimming has long been socially acceptable in other parts of eastern Germany and in Lychen, a town of about 3,000 people nestled between glassy lakes. “Whoever wants to swim naked swims naked. And those who don’t, do not,” said vacation home landlord Martin Hansen, 60, who opposes the ban. But in May, after it became apparent that the first wave of the coronavirus had largely bypassed the region, the Lychen town council turned its attention from social distancing restrictions to bathing rules. To some council members, naked fellow residents swimming, doing yoga and playing volleyball had been a growing annoyance. The mayor and council moved to ban all nude activity at popular public bathing spots. The outrage that followed included an anonymous letter to the mayor, threatening to poison the town’s lakes if nudist swimming rights were infringed upon. The police announced an investigation. TV crews and newspaper journalists descended on Lychen. Mayor Karola Gundlach declined an interview request from The Washington Post, citing the excessive media coverage and adding, “It does not help if people from around the world send me emails and tell me or the town what to do, what is right and wrong.”
Minorities under attack as PM pushes ‘tolerant’ Pakistan (AP) It’s been a tough month for religious minorities in Pakistan, and observers warn of even tougher times ahead as Prime Minister Imran Khan vacillates between trying to forge a pluralistic nation and his conservative Islamic beliefs. A Christian was gunned down because he rented in a Muslim neighborhood in northwest Peshawar, not far from the border with Afghanistan. Another Christian, pastor Haroon Sadiq Cheeda, his wife and 12-year-old son were beaten by their Muslim neighbors in eastern Punjab and told to leave their village. The attackers screamed “you are infidels.” An opposition politician was charged this week with blasphemy after declaring all religions were equal. A senior political figure, allied with the government and backed by Islamic extremists, stopped construction of a Hindu temple in the capital Islamabad. Analysts and activists blame an increase in attacks on an indecisive Khan. They say he preaches a vision of a tolerant Pakistan where its religious minorities thrive as equals among an overwhelming Muslim majority. They say that at the same time he cedes power to extreme Islamic clerics, bowing to their demands and turning to them for the final say, even on matters of state.
India virus cases surge nearly 32,700, beach state shut anew (AP) India’s virus cases surged another 32,695 as of Thursday, taking the nation closer to 1 million and forcing a new lockdown in the popular western beach state of Goa two weeks after it was reopened to tourists. The new confirmed cases took the national total to 968,876. The Health Ministry also reported a record number of 606 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking total fatalities up to 24,915. About a dozen states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Assam, have put high-risk areas under lockdowns, only allowing essential food supplies and health services. Goa state’s top elected official, Pramod Sawant, announced a three-day lockdown and a night curfew in the popular backpacking tourist destination, beginning Thursday night. He said people were flouting social distancing norms. Nearly 40,000 people were fined 100 rupees ($1.3) each in the past two weeks for not wearing masks.
Flooding in Bangladesh (Foreign Policy) As much as one-third of Bangladesh is now underwater after the country’s heaviest rainfall in a decade, according to Al Jazeera. As we reported last week, the floods began in part because of the overflowing of the Brahmaputra River. In the neighboring Indian state of Assam, at least 50 people have been killed as a result of the flooding.
Mysterious Fires Scorch Iran (Foreign Policy) Iran, already ravaged by U.S. sanctions and the coronavirus pandemic, now faces another scourge: A wave of mysterious fires torching the country, including a blaze that burned seven ships in Bushehr, a major port city, on Wednesday. The fires include a July 2 explosion at an underground fuel enrichment plant in Natanz that the New York Times reported was part of a covert effort to undermine the Iranian nuclear program. The incidents have sparked fears in Iran that the United States and Israel are increasing sabotage operations directed at Tehran. No deaths were reported from Wednesday’s fire. Officials in Iran have blamed some of the fires on sabotage, but others appear to have been caused by accidents, equipment failures, and inclement weather, the Times reported. The fires may raise fears of military miscalculation between the United States and Iran. The blazes come as the United States failed to convince allies on the U.N. Security Council to extend an arms embargo against Iran set to expire in October, as Foreign Policy reported. The Trump administration faces opposition from allies in its efforts to continue its so-called “maximum pressure” campaign—a definitive effort to scupper the 2015 nuclear deal. A website close to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Nournews, said this month that an attack on Natanz could cross a “red line” and lead to “fundamental changes” in the Middle East.
China becomes first economy to grow since virus pandemic (AP) China became the first major economy to grow since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, recording an unexpectedly strong 3.2% expansion in the latest quarter after anti-virus lockdowns were lifted and factories and stores reopened. Growth reported Thursday for the three months ending in June was a dramatic improvement over the previous quarter’s 6.8% contraction —China’s worst performance since at least the mid-1960s. But it still was the weakest positive figure since China started reporting quarterly growth in the early 1990s. China, where the coronavirus pandemic began in December, was the first economy to shut down and the first to start the drawn-out process of recovery in March after the ruling Communist Party declared the disease under control.
Taiwan holds military drills against potential China threat (AP) Taiwan’s military fired missiles from the air and the island’s shore facing China on Thursday in a live-fire exercise to demonstrate its ability to defend against any Chinese invasion. Assault helicopters launched missiles and fighter jets dropped bombs on targets at sea, while tanks and missile trucks fired from a beach to deter a simulated invading force. The drill was part of a five-day annual exercise that ends Friday. China regards Taiwan as a breakaway province that is part of its territory. The self-governing island of 24 million people lies 160 kilometers (100 miles) off China’s southeast coast across the Taiwan Strait.
Japan “extremely concerned” as 136 COVID cases reported on U.S. bases (CBS News) The biggest coronavirus outbreak within the U.S. military anywhere in the world continues to grow. U.S. Forces Japan confirmed Wednesday another 36 infections among troops on the Japanese island of Okinawa, bringing the total to at least 136 since the U.S. military reported its first cases there last week. Until then, all of Okinawa had seen only 148 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since February, with Japanese authorities managing to contain the spread of the virus that causes the disease. In a sign of the growing tension between Japanese officials and the U.S. military in Okinawa, Defense Minister Taro Kono has pointed to “several problems” with the U.S. response to the pandemic. He notably avoided giving specifics when pressed by reporters earlier this week. “Okinawa residents are extremely anxious” about the spread of infection at U.S. military bases, said Okinawa governor Denny Tamaki, who flew to Tokyo Wednesday for a meeting with Defense Minister Kono to air his island’s grievances.

#RoyalVisitPakistan Review
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has come to an end after five days of engagements, fashion, and last-minute weather disasters. This was the Cambridges’ most high-ranking and complex tour yet, as they visited the country while they are in a state of near-war with India.
Day One - Arrival
Number of engagements: 1 (Arrival at Nur Khan Airbase)
The Duke and Duchess arrived in Pakistan at 9:30pm, local time on Monday 14th October, where they were received by the British High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (His Excellency Mr Thomas Drew). The Duchess wore a Catherine Walker ensemble, which appeared to have been inspired by the Pakistani shalwar kameez. She also wore her Rupert Sanderson ‘Malory’ Heels, Zeen Woman Earrings, and carried her Zeen Woman Clutch.
Day Two - Education
Number of engagements: 5 (Visit to the Islamabad Model College for Girls; visit to the Margalla Hills; called upon The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Mrs Arif Alvi; called upon Mr Imran Khan; attended a Reception at the Pakistan Monument given by the High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan)
On their first full day in Pakistan, the Duke and Duchess remained in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. Their first visit was to the Islamabad Model College for Girls (a public school for children from nursery-age to adult), where they learnt more about the Teach for Pakistan programme. Teach for Pakistan is modelled on Teach First, a programme which focuses on improving quality of teaching in schools in the UK. They then went to The Margalla Hills, which is found at the base of the Himalayan Mountain Range. They helped children set up a leopard camera trap, and identify different species of plants. During these engagements, the Duchess wore a Maheen Khan shalwar kameez in Royal Blue, as well as her Zeen Woman Earrings.
The Cambridges then met with President Arif Alvi and, later, Prime Minister Imran Khan. While meeting President Alvi, the Cambridges learnt about Mrs Arif Alvi’s work with breast cancer, and the Duke had the idea to wear breast cancer pins in the photos released from the events. After meeting with Mr Khan, the couple remained and enjoyed lunch with the Prime Minister. Catherine wore a Catherine Walker tunic (in Pakistani green), as well as trousers from Maheen Khan and a Satragni dupatta. She also wore her Zeen Woman Earrings, Emmy London ‘Rebecca’ Shoes, and she carried her Emmy London ‘Natasha’ Clutch.
For their final engagement of the day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge atteneded a reception at the Pakistan Monument. The reception was celebrating the very best of Pakistani music and culture, as well as highlighting the UK-Pakistan relationship. William shocked everyone by wearing a Pakistani sherwani, while Catherine wore a sparkly green Jenny Packham gown, as well as Jimmy Choos and new Onitaa Women Earrings.
Day Three - Conservation
Number of engagements: 5 (Visiting a retreating glacier; visiting Bumburet village; watching a Search & Resuce drill; meeting with Kalash people; meeting with General Qamar Javed Bajwa)
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge travelled to Chitral, in Northern Pakistan, for a day focused on the climate and on conservation. For their first engagement of the day, the Duke and Duchess visited a glacier in the Hindu Kush mountain range. There they learned about how climate change is impacting the glacial landscapes. They then travelled to a Bumburet Village, which suffered from severe flash flooding as a result of nearby glaciers melting. William and Catherine then watched a drill conducted by volunteers from the local Emergency Response Team, which is supported by UK aid, as well as a drill by a local Search and Rescue Team, who demonstrated their ability to evacuate casualties across a river. Before leaving Chitral, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a settlement of the Kalash people, to learn more about the Kalash community and their unique heritage and traditions. During these events, the Duchess wore an understated outfit made up of two different UFO dupattas, as well as a UFO skirt and a pair of UFO sunglasses. She also wore a Mint Velvet dress (as a shirt), her Really Wild waistcoat, and her Really Wild boots.
After returning to Islamabad, the Duke and Duchess received General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff, and Mrs Qamar Bajwa.
Day Four - Communities (Culture)
Number of engagements: 6 (Arrival in Lahore; SOS Children’s Village; National Cricket Academy; Badshahi Mosque; meeting faith leaders; Shaukat Khanum Children's Cancer Centre)
For their final full day in Pakistan and the best day of their tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge travelled to Lahore, a city known as Pakistan’s city of culture. After arriving and being received by the government of Lahore, the day began in earnest at SOS Children’s Village, a charitable organisation in the heart of the city. The village, which is attached to a school, provides a home and family structure to over 100 children. The Duchess gave her first speech on the tour during this event. The couple then visited the National Cricket Academy, where they joined a match with children who are participating in the British Council’s DOSTI programme. During the morning, the Duchess wore a Gul Ahmed shalwar kameez, along with a Maheen Khan Shawl, new J Crew Pumps, her Asprey Oak Leaf Earrings, and she carried her Mulberry ‘Bayswater’ Clutch (she changed into Hampton Canvas trainers for the cricket match).
In the afternoon, the Duke and Duchess visited the Badshahi Mosque, the most iconic Islamic site in Lahore. The couple toured the mosque and courtyard, before joining a discussion with faith leaders to understand how they are promoting interfaith harmony within their communities. Afterwards, they travelled to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, a state-of-the-art cancer facility located in the centre of Lahore. The Duke and Duchess visited the children’s ward to spend time with patients undergoing treatment at the hospital, and will spoke to a number of their families. Catherine wore a Maheen Khan shalwar kameez, her Catherine Zoraida Fern Hoop Earrings, and the J Crew Pumps she first wore that morning. While at the hospital, Catherine also donned her only tiara of the tour.
Day Five - Military
Number of engagements: 2 (Army Canine Centre; Departure from Pakistan) THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WHEN THE CC IS RELEASED
The final day of the tour was disrupted somewhat, after the Cambridges were forced to spend the night in Lahore due to an electrical storm. Because of this, they were forced to miss a planned trip to the Khyber Pass. The Duke and Duchess were sighted leaving Lahore in the morning, with the Duchess wearing an Elan embroided kurta, J Crew pumps, a Maheen Khan dupatta, Accessorize earrings, and carrying her Smythson bag.
For the new first engagement, the Duke and Duchess visited the Army Canine Centre, where they joined dog handlers as they train dogs to recognise and scout out hidden explosive materials. They then supported some of the puppies who were undertaking the an agility training course. Shortly afterwards, the Cambridges departed from Nur Khan Airbase. Catherine had changed into a Beulah London coat and Russell & Bromley shoes, while still wearing her Maheen Khan dupatta and Accessorize earrings.

50 Questions for your Sim
I was tagged by the incredible @izayoichan ☺️😄 thank you!
And I chose Maya Feldman to do this tag cause she’s so gorgeous and sweet and on of my fave sims, plus I based some of her on me (the anxiety part, the being Pakistani part, the awkward and tending to ramble part, etc.) also those pics are of her thru the gameplay
1: How old is your sim? Oh man, I’d say 23 cause (for my own sims game since everyone has different aging) I just assumed that once my sims turn into young adults their aging slows down, plus I have MCCC so Maya has 1000 days left of being a YA
2. When is your sim’s birthday? June 23 ♋️
3. What is your sim’s zodiac sign? Cancer 🦀

Danish Aziz Awan. Week 2. Warp speed.
#susi2019 @ecaatstate @umassdonahue @susi2019
Week 2: Clap Clap
Day 1:
This week kicked off with Mr.Tom discussing about U.S History at Wrap Speed. Followed by Mr. Douglas Rice’s talk on civil rights. It was fascinating to see how many years it took for the oldest democracy in the world, to further strengthen their justice system. A lesson we can take to make Pakistan’s system more efficient.
Roaming on the streets of Downtown, singing and dancing my lungs out.
Walking with 3 people from our group, talking about our goals when we go back home, establishing connection with each other, solving domestic issues here.
Day 2:
Mr. Sibi brought out the hidden abilities in us, A-Z of being a leader. The whole session was a joyous ride. “Lolly-Pop moments,” and what not. I am now a firm believer that a leader is someone who does the little things for people he/she interacts with. Sense of humanity, emotions, ability to lift up the mood, good listener, extremely tolerant, someone who can kill his ego for the sake of someone else’s happiness. I am more than ready to spread this kind of information back home.
Part 2 of the day, Role of media, U.S and Pakistan, two very different nations, yet united by this genre.
It was interesting to see how much similarities we share in terms of media coverage.TV channels divided by political views, Television monarchy’s etc. But where U.S had the better stats was, out of hundreds of brave journalists, only few experienced some sort of resistance. This speaks for Freedom of speech itself.
Spending time with 6 more people, sharing my achievements, hearing theirs, motivating them to work for Pakistan. Asking them to be more tolerant towards everyone and spread positive vibes.
Karaoke night as always, more bhangra on English songs and more walk back from downtown.
(Distances here are insane)
Day 3:
Just when I thought, the week couldn’t go any better, another thing struck. Mr. Mike’s case study class, I read the case study for 40 mins before class. Yep! Divided into the groups, my group got the role of the, “Greedy Capitalist,” where we did a fine job. Proud of you guys. This experience changed my perception of looking at things from different sides. One of those cases where one problem can effect almost every sector, i.e. Economy, freedom of speech, environment, general population etc.
Part 2 of the day, got on Dodge minivan with Avery and Sean. We stopped for gas and there began the journey of peace to, “Bridge of Flowers.” Serenity! The town was so peaceful, people welcomed us with open hearts, and showed interest in learning about Pakistan.
Spending time with another set of people from group, again discussing how we can make Pakistan better after this.
Hours of shopping, buying make-up for my one and only sister. I had to put nail paint on too. Worth it!
Day 4:
July 4th, sunny day. I was anxiously waiting for this day. I tried to dress as American as possible.
(Shorts, Polo shirt, American flag color shades, American flag pin and Cow-boy Hat.)
As we were making our way towards the parade venue. It felt like we were a part of Protocol or something. Led by Mr. Mike himself. Huge line of mini van’s. Go Civic Initiative!
Anyway, the venue was handled by members of local community, the police were so active. Everywhere you look, you’d see people walking in orderly manner, carrying flags. Showing how an educated and civilized nations behave.
The best part about the parade would be that they appreciated everyone involved in the community service. It is absolute necessary to appreciate the people for what they do! LOVED IT! SO TAKING THIS IDEA BACK TO PAKISTAN!
Fireworks and long walk back home.
I will be honest, fireworks in Islamabad have their own taste of excitement. This was a fire cracker compared to it. Nevertheless, again huge gathering of people and extremely organized people.
Days like these remind you of the cost, the nation has to pay for freedom. Be it U.S.A or Pakistan. Freedom is built on blood and sweat of countless soul.
Again, more discussion with group members!
Day 5:
Jummah (Friday) is one day, most of us were looking forward too. Hampshire Mosque has conquered our hearts. Peace of mind. That’s it.
Miss Sam, gave us the insight of religion in USA and I was shocked to see how much of a wrong perception we have of religion in USA back home.
I think it made me more empathetic to people of different religions.
More exploring of Downtown area.
Day 6:
Weekends are always fun, because who doesn’t like to get up late!
Trip to Book Mill will always be a memorable one, small area of few shops, on a bank of stream.
I bought a book for the 2nd time in my life. “Sustainability” which is my favorite area, and I will be dedicating my life to it. Bathing in cold stream was life time experience!
Crazy house party at Tea’s house. Her family was so welcoming and they organized such a nice gathering. We got chance to interact with more American Students, who were younger than us but I would say more aware about certain things.
3 hours of dancing, the after effects are still here! (Where can I buy new legs?)
More walks around campus with a friend who really needed help this time, because of home-sickness. A time well spent!
Day 7:
Sunday was more of me hanging out with me, sleeping and giving time to family back home.
All in all, 2nd week was eye opening. Life in America has its own challenges, but then again, the world is not perfect, we can only try and make it better by putting in the effort.
So far, our mentors have been amazing in facilitating us, the academic side as well as social side. It’s a fairy tale wrapped with reality checks.
I have forgotten so many lolli-pop moments of this week. Haha.
I feel blessed to be here. I love challenges and this place keeps giving more and more. LOVE IT!

Travel to Madhya Pradesh | The Experience
Travels through the Jewel of India, Madhya Pradesh in the summer season.
Tumblr media
The heart of India, Madhya Pradesh is also called the jewel of India because it covers maximum forest in terms of area and is home to some of the best places to visit or vacation. I have now developed a fondness for the jungle life of Madhya Pradesh as I frequent the wildlife sanctuaries, such as Pench National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park or Panna National Park, etc. Though, this time instead of just visiting the wildlife parks, I may peek into the historical places, to make other people's journeys content.
The first time, when I acquainted myself with findyoursafari.com, I witnessed an amazing flow of itinerary execution and management at its best. Now, after 5 trips to various wildlife sanctuaries across India with them, I have gone addicted to their hospitality because I just have to focus on the adventure part and not the booking fees, safari arrangements and timings, accommodation, etc. This time as well, I hope they have arranged a fantastic trip for me to the wilderness of Madhya Pradesh.
Day 1 – Arrival in Bhopal
Bhopal being the capital city, it becomes easier to navigate through it, so I could reach every destination with certainty.
I checked into the hotel and ordered dinner.
I went to bed early because the next day was going to be crucial to start the journey.
Tumblr media

Day 2 – Bhopal Nearby Places
Checked out after consuming a healthy breakfast.
Started the trip to the first destination of the day, Sanchi Stupa.
Ever since I have studied Sanchi Stupa, I always wanted to visit this historical monument.
Sanchi Stupa is just 1-hour drive from Bhopal, and it was a smooth ride. This majestic monument was made by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd Century BCE. Everything about this monument was wonderful, mainly the architecture.
After Sanchi Stupa, the next stop was Vidisha, which was only 9 km away.
Vidisha is known to be the old city of the Ashoka dynasty and is carved out with endless beautiful sculptures. Now there is a very small settlement near the ruins, a small village.
The third and last stop for the day was Islamabad Fort, which was a 44 km drive from Vidisha.
The fort was built in 1715 under the emperor Dost Mohammad Khan, and certainly speaks volumes of glory and grandeur through magnificent infrastructure and unique design.
It was already 7 pm, so I decided to go straight to the hotel room and grab dinner.

Day 3 – Bhopal to Pench National Park
It was time to move towards at least one National Park, and it must be Pench because it was the nearest, 4-hour drive from Bhopal.
Early morning delicious breakfast at the property and then started the journey for Pench National Park.
It was a 4-hour drive, so I had to grab lunch in between the highway, though it was not delicious but was good enough to fill my tummy.
As soon as I reached Kanha, I checked into a beautiful Safari lodge with a wood cabin and was surrounded by the shadows of huge pine trees.
This had to be a useful day rather than just a journey, so I decided to go for Gypsy Safari. The safari is where y personal space belongs and propels me to be at peace.
Right after the strenuous safari ride in the evening, it was almost dark. This was my clue to come back and grab the dinner.

Day 4 – Pench National Park to Bandhavgarh National Park
It was already day 4 and I hadn’t even covered two national parks. So, I decided to keep short of the long visits.
After grabbing the breakfast, we kept our course running towards Bandhavgarh National Park.
The drive was 2 hours only, but it took us 3 hours to reach.
Checked into the hotel room and went straight for the lunch, so I can move on to the next task.
I had a very special thing planned in my mind, so without wasting any time in the hotel I went straight to hire a Hot air Balloon, which is the only Safari Transport in the entire nation currently.
Then I went on to visit the Baghel Museum, which is absolutely a piece of art. They have accumulated ancient to newest things to exhibit.
After the museum, I went for Shesh Saiya. A place where Lord Vishnu’s sleeping statue is situated.
Though I wanted to visit the ancient caves also, I couldn’t as the day had already ended, and I was tired.
I now rested in my room after a hearty dinner in the restaurant with a group that came from Kerala. Such lovely people.

Day 5 – Bandhavgarh National Park to Kanha National Park
After visiting 2 national parks and the nearby places I was ready for the third one, which was Kanha National Park because it was only 3 hour drive from here and one of my favourites.
Started the day with a healthy breakfast and checked out of the hotel to continue my journey to Kanha National Park.
As soon as I reached Kanha, I was checked into a magnificent Safari lodge. This was the second time I was staying on this property.
After grabbing the lunch, I and my driver went out to explore all the nearby places, and the first destination was Kawardha Palace, home to the royal Kawardha Family.
The next destination had to be Amar Kanthak, as it was the most infamous thing I heard somewhere. This is the place where the Narmada River originates and is called Teerthraj.
This was the time I needed to return for the evening Safari.
After the high tea, I decided to one nearby place while on the safari, which is Bamni Dadar, the place where the sunset is just heavenly unreal.
This was the destination that I needed to cover and now the trip has come to an end.

I returned to Bhopal by taxi and boarded the flight for Jaipur, Rajasthan, and took a real experience in visiting the attractions which make a place worth visiting.
