By the way in case you've been following me since my Clone High days and wondering what happened, this is the post.

Why don't I post about Clone High anymore? There's three reasons.

1. Devil May Cry. It's actually funny how you can pinpoint the exact moment I started to switch fandoms, and that was when I decided to make Clone High OCs based on the historical figures Dante and Virgil, but also based on the Devil May Cry characters Dante and Vergil, but specifically based on their reboot versions.

Anyways, yeah, DMC hijacked my mind and it's all I can think about. Same goes for Power Rangers, though to a lesser extent since I have yet to really integrate myself in the fandom itself. And hey, speaking of fandoms,

2. I'm not sugarcoating things: The Clone High fandom is garbage. The sheer amount of pedophile apologists in the community is genuinely concering, especially given how many of the fandom consists of minors. And no, I'm not giving them the luxury of calling them those self-coined terms they use to hide themselves under, I'm saying what they are because that's what they deserve; No amount of "it's just fiction" excuses posting about how "fun" it is to sexualize minors in a fandom FULL OF MINORS, KNOWING MINORS INTERACT WITH YOU.

On the contrary, or maybe as a result, a lot of fandom members have started witch hunts against others left and right for significantly smaller, bordering on nonexistent, issues. I could bring up how rings4casey is a hypocritical piece of shit who thinks harassment is okay as long as you're on "the good side"... oh wait, I already brought it up. Anyways, it didn't also help that around the same time, yet another Clone High Discord server controversy was happening that dealt with a similar topic; I wasn't in the server for it and I only heard secondhand accounts of it so don't ask me about what happened.

Edit: I'm also not gonna let it slide how racist this fandom can be lol. From redesigns that whitewash characters of color to straight up making nazi OCs, this place sucks for my Mexican/American and Jewish ass

The point is that this fandom was just a hostile environment to be in; You can be the shittiest person in the world and get away with it because everyone is busy punishing someone who went only slightly out of line. But to be honest, I think I dipped at a great time, because...

3. The show's dead. It got cancelled uncerimoniously after season 3 ended on a cliffhanger that'll never be resolved. I already lost hope on the show after season 2, and I didn't even bother to stay for season 3 and was only into the fan content, but now the show is dead and the fandom committed mass suicide.

TL;DR: Why should I churn out content for a series I don't like anymore, for a fandom whose five only remaining members are constantly going at each other's throats, and when I could just focus on the series and fandoms I do like making art for and participating in?

Wait, but what about my Clone High OCs and that rewrite project? I liked posting about that, will they just be abandoned now that I've deleted the sideblog made just for them?

HELL FUCKING NO THEY WON'T. I still love my OCs absolutely dearly, and I definitely have plans to revamp my Clone High "rewrite" into an actual proper series. Just don't expect it to be on tumblr because I kinda hated using tumblr to catalogue my OC stuff lol. Instead, check my dedicated Toyhouse folder for my Clone High OCs, and be on the lookout for an entire page to fill you in on the lore of their universe.

Also, I don't actually know if I still want them to be Clone High OCs. On one hand, I don't like the series anymore, but on the other, these characters being clones of historical figures is literally integral to their stories and the premise is just way too good to throw to the bin.

That's my final statement for the Clone High fandom; I still want Phil Lord dead in minceraft.

I was @heroofthreefaces for ten years. 2/19/23 that blog was terminated without notice or explanation and, at this writing, with no response to the resultant Support contact form sent. Then I was @d0ct0rwh0 for three days. 2/22/23 that blog was deactivated without notice or explanation. EDIT 3/27/23 heroofthreefaces was reinstated without apology or explanation; I elected to retain paulgadzikowski as my primary.

I'll write a proper FAQ here if this blog lasts long enough that the lack bothers me. Otherwise, I'm scarfman at Pillowfort and at Dreamwidth and heroof3faces at Twitter; and my webcomics are Arthur, King of Time and Space and The Hero of Three Faces.

EDIT 3/9/23 Okay, one thing I should probably mention even before I get around to creating a real FAQ is that I now have a sideblog for separating off all the activism and heavy matters reblogs, called @nosuchthingasaburdenonsociety, so that my main is safe for those who come to Tumblr to forget about life for awhile. Except the new text editor has this funny new quirk so posts end up on the wrong blog sometimes. My name's Paul Gadzikowski and I draw the webcomic The Hero of Three Faces, fanfiction crossovers but it's comic strips with stick figures but they're triangles. For nine-plus years I also drew Arthur, King of Time and Space which functionally was, among other things, King Arthur mashed up with my fanfiction.

Every day that there's an update at Three Faces, the next morning at or about 10:00 (all times US Central) I post a link here to it, which gets pinned to the top of the blog. Every evening at 22:00 I post a link to a "rerun", a cartoon in the archives; the rerun only gets pinned during annual summer hiatus of new updates.

Also I post and reblog fannish things. Doctor Who is my favorite and the Doctor is the primary character in Three Faces, because I've always loved crossovers and there's no better literary and literal device to facilite crossovers than a time machine. The top tier in my pantheon of fandoms consists of all Star Treks, Superman and superheroes (these days more screen than print versions), M*A*S*H, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, Star Wars, and Dracula Daily; but anything I watch and read may show up in Three Faces or here, and lots of what my Tumblr mutuals watch and read too.

As noted above I have the side blog @nosuchthingasaburdenonsociety. I can be inconsistent about parsing which posts go on which blog, especially now that the nusternucking new text editor defaults to whichever one where you last posted, instead of defaulting to your main like the old text editor did. And there are some serious topics which never did migrate to the sideblog, like racism in fandom and the coronavirus. Most posts are queued, on both blogs, unless I want to respond to something conversationally, or I'm trying to be the first with the joke, or I feel like it. Barring unusual circumstances I'm posting (firing my queue) 24 hours a day and I probably seem most active the day after I've been most active.

This is a list of my most significant personal tags. As a rule I'll try to use the same ones here as I did there in the same way, though there are a few cases where I took advantage of the opportunity to revise.

Alright...I’ve been meaning to make this for a while now but I kept blanking on what to say. So I hope these thoughts(tm) I’ve ended up forcing out of my head would make enough sense for you all haha. Apologies in advance for the wall of text.

When I started with this IF project of mine, I will admit that I rushed into it. It was my mistake for being too excited and not giving this a proper plan. I had the plot idea of course, but I’m more so talking about me not putting more care into organizing a blog, or even with the demo. I had shared the first iteration of the demo on the COG forum with only an incomplete prologue for crying out loud.  

And because of these things, I felt like it reflected on Nevermoore’s quality during its development. Like, I could never give you guys the content you deserve because I kept going back to edit chapter 1. But at the same time really I’m super grateful for your patience as I did that since I did want the demo to be as best as I can make it.

Decent progress has been for the next update, by the way. I just finished on my edits/restructuring of chapter 1, and will now move on to chapter 2 which will probably see the biggest changes. For those who weren’t aware, I will be combining most of what I had planned for ch3 into ch2 so you’ll at least get to see some new stuff when the update goes live!

And speaking of the update...I’ve been thinking of giving Nevermoore a new start through this. Yes, I know that I sort of did that already with the ch1 rewrite a few months back, but I want an actual fresh start this time. 

What do I mean by that? Well an ‘official’ proper dev blog for one thing. When the update draws nearer, I will be creating a sideblog that will be Nevermoore focused only (Nevermoore-IF is the name I’m leaning towards). With that blog, that is where I’ll also create the long-overdue intro post and put more effort into answering asks.

As for this blog aka @asteristories, I’m probably going to just turn this into a personal where I reblog other authors IFs, writing tips/advice, and maybe even share some of my art and non-IF writing among other things! There are a lot of old asks here, and many of them have been retconned by now. But for the ones that aren’t, I will either reblog them into the new blog or recreate them in a text post haha. (Oof the number of times I say the word ‘blog’...)

There’s other stuff I’d like to get done for NM as well, so to put it simply, this is what you should expect when Nevermoore undergoes its new cycle (like a Phoenix rising from it’s nonexistant ashes sksksksjkl)

I also considered in making a Ko-Fi, but I’ve decided not to worry about that just yet until I have all of these out for you guys first!

YOUR ART IS SO COOL!! also i think if the haunted house au was an actual sjm mod sado's spawn area would be the prison from the hex where lazarus frees sado except you're in the first person pov of lazarus (except you're also not lazarus you're some guy who went into a mansion and now has to face the consequences. maybe instead of hitting the buttons with the gun like in the hex you hit them with the axe), and when you free sado and she disappears suddenly everything becomes dark. everyone in the cells disappears and a hallway that wasnt there before opens up back at the beginning and the lasers disappear (i feel like it would be much easier to explain what im talking about if i drew it but that would require making a hex sideblog so i can show you. and ive been procrastinating making a hex sideblog). i think sado's chase would be like a dark void behind her with eyes in it (like specimen 7's wall. except it wouldnt instakill if you touched it bc i think that would be unfair) and the walls during the chase would also be completely dark with eyes on them (also like specimen 7). i think sado would be able to go through walls quicker like specimen 8 also. idk how much damage she would deal yet or all the other specimen stat stuff they put on the sjm wiki but i hope my rambling isnt incomprehensible im going to go back and make sure theres no run on sentences so its actually readable -sjm anon

UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: In the end, it doesn’t matter, for Morgan will always find beauty even in the unconventional things. At first, she won’t fancy a shorter dude with pink hair and pimples but if she starts loving him, she’ll find him attractive all the same. UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: Thinking being noble equals entitlement to superiority over others, selfishness, too big an ego. So. Heres this old fic from uhhhhhhhhhhhhh I really don’t remember how long ago. Originally I had it split into 3 parts on the posts that inspired it- and it was my first attempt at writing anything along the lines of stuffing, but it kind of ended up more like he was already coming down with something. It was on my first attempt at a fic blog- way back when and it got deleted because I didnt know how sideblogs worked back then and goofed. Thought I lost everything, then I found an old disc with a whole whack of it on there.

At the moment I can only find 2 of the 3 posts of the art that inspired it here and here. I’ll link the missing post as soon as I find it.

“Come on people! When I say I want you all mobilized in fifteen I don’t mean in half a damn hour. I mean twenty minutes ago.” Fury fumed over the intercom from his station on scene. His voice bounced off the inside of the transport van and rung through each individual earpiece. “Rise and shine, ‘cause we are in a fucking war against some baddies if you haven’t all noticed. You are my agents and I am expecting you to do your damn jobs at my order.”

“Load of fucking shit,” the sniper agent to Clint’s left mumbled, “two a.m. wakeup call is horseshit. I just finished a mission and got back at ten last night.”

“Yeah, welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D brother, what did you think this was? Day camp?” Clint double checked his packet was still together. He’d read it once they got to their positions, it was too dark inside the van. He shook his head a bit when the other agent went back to fuming. Running on low sleep was nothing, sure the headaches and fuzziness were a pain in the ass sometimes but it’s not hard to get used to. You have to get used to it in this job. Same with messed up schedules on basically everything. They would get an hour tops to set up and get ready for a long haul on their stations.

What he managed to make sense of before climbing in the back of the vehicle through his sleep-fogged mind was that they needed to be ready for anything by three thirty, three forty five at the latest with the other crew up ahead of them set up. He rubbed his face trying to wake up more, must be all the time he’s spent on normal schedule lately, it was causing a real issue. He wasn’t looking forward to the no doubt shitty and militant type food they were all going to have for breakfast within the next hour either. He was getting soft on the new routine of near-normal sleep and actual tasteful food instead of vacuum packed crap made for boosting endurance.

He leaned back to try and get into the mindset for the day. It was going to be a very very long one. Someone mentioned they might be stuck out there until seven that night. By then they’d have relief agents come in to give them a break, but as Hawkeye, well he was probably expected to stay around. Most teams wouldn’t shelf their best shooter if they could help it. He’d probably get a nap in at some stationed area. Though the accidental nap he got on the way there wasn’t something he completely cursed even though he didn’t like the fact of it.

“Alright, come on move out you all got a lot to go over and not much time.” The voice crackling into his ear is what startled him awake, and the hatch of the van swinging open definitely helped make that happen faster. Keeping near silent, everyone filed out and headed into the building while Agent Hill took control of their transport and directed it to their station a little ways away hidden in a different building.

Everyone was handed a pack; filled with the shitty food and bottles of water for their posts, their weapons if they hadn’t brought any and extra ammo and pieces if they did, additional intel for their briefing packages according to pay grade, and some quick hushed instruction to where they were all to be.

Clint took his without a word and made his way to his post. Abandoned, or purposefully emptied, industrial building and the usual sort of interior. Too much moving about would give away his position on the metal catwalk. He had a few windows to observe through and a railing to his back. He dropped his pack as lightly and quietly as he could and set himself facing the railing to observe everyone being dispatched while he read over his briefing package.

Exact sort of thing he expected since they woke him up. Nothing too big, but big enough to require a lot of force if anything went bad. He was given another radio code with instructions to call the other Avengers if things turned too ugly. And it was going to be a long-ass day. No break in sight until afternoon if they were lucky. He ripped open the first package of… well. He opened the first nutritional packet and set to work on it mindlessly while he kept reading and rereading. This was coded, but memorizing it and burning it was always his procedure.

By the fourth read through he was nearly done the second pack. Best to eat as much as he could, as much as he hated it and was off-put by eating at such a strange time after the Avengers got together. Professional agent Clint Barton, code name Hawkeye, sharpest shooter as they came- but totally useless without a sugar rush to start him at this time of night, and hell to deal with if he crashes afterward. Carbs, protein, sugar. The three biggest and most annoying things to eat right now, low on time and rushing to compensate for his mental sluggishness at this hour.

He startled himself with a small belch and nearly dropped everything. He did a quick scan and everything seemed normal. Confused for a second longer as to the origin of the sound, he came to the realization when he hiccupped. Ah. Right. He was eating, and apparently at the speed he was reading if the blooming discomfort in his slightly distended abdomen was anything to go by. He took a swig of the only soda from his pack, no doubt put there as a favor from a very sneaky woman. He let it fizz up in his mouth before swallowing it.

New diet. That’s another thing he reminded himself to update S.H.I.E.L.D on before the next mission. He downed some more soda and let the carbonation work its way back out in a few more small burps. It was definitely a good feeling. He just had to work the rest of the air out before the mission started. No big deal.

“Relax Barton,” He shifted in his new ‘nest’, “nothing you haven’t had to do before. Good to know I can still get mission jitters, heh. Maybe this’ll be fun.” He wanted it to be. He definitely wasn’t expecting this call when he decided to turn in early last night. He tried to tell himself the slight trembling feeling, not that he’d let his hands shake at all if it could be helped, was from nerves. Big man in the world now, sure, but unexpected missions always had excitement to them. Sometimes it left you a little shaken in the best ways. Not that he was sure how good this sort of shaken felt yet, all he could say for certain was that it was strange.

He shrugged his shoulders and straightened out before packing away the left overs and digging out a lighter to burn the paper with. The wind howled a little outside, bringing to his mind the chill of the night.

An hour later had him leaning lazily at a windowsill; nothing happened yet that needed his attention or intervention. He kept flitting his eyes about in a restless sort of way, glancing about but never focusing too long and trying to keep that trembling, tingling feeling filling him up at bay. He thought back to the night before, and about being so tired.

“See anything?” Another agent’s voice crackled through his earpiece. He pressed down on his microphone button to reply.

“Not a damn thing,” he drawled, “Anything from your sights?”

“Nothing yet,”

He let up off the mic and sighed. He felt his body buzz again in a wave under his skin and couldn’t help but shake his shoulders trying to get it out. Part of his mind nagged at him with a reminder of feeling distinctly unwell last night.

Drinking. Stark roped us all into it. Thinks just because he has a miracle liver means we all do.

Though it was harder to remind himself of that when he had to shake his shoulders and head again to fight off a wave of fuzziness.

It wasn’t for another forty-five minutes, and three updates from Fury himself, until Barton had something to hold his attention. He was crouched low at his post and grabbed at the shirt over his stomach as another wave of pain and sudden nausea shot through him. Sure he’d started idly rubbing his stomach a little earlier; he was getting butterflies was all. Usually something happened by now when they got this many people out that fast. He was getting more nervous the entire time, who didn’t when it came to performance issues? He was still having trouble focusing on the vast nothingness happening today by the time the butterflies started. But now this was throwing him off.

“Any news yet? Getting real bored up here,” he clicked the mic off after and waited.

“Nothing. Should be another hour at most. Getting antsy there, a little flighty? Ha.”

“Ha. Leave the jokes to someone who can handle them, Keith.” He turned down the radio and double checked the microphone was off when he curled up tighter into himself and put his head against the sill as another wave of discomfort washed over him.

Eventually, he had to get back up and in proper position. He felt a bit better after some time elapsed and figured as long as he didn’t over do anything and stayed relatively well hydrated he’d be good enough. He turned the radio back up and opened his water bottle as he slid back into the favored hiding position he found where he could stand full height without being seen. Another hour tops and he’d have something in his sights…

Hawkeye swallowed hard and backed away from his post. This was getting a little ridiculous. He stepped back until the guard rail pressed into his back. He hazarded a quick glimpse over before having to go back to staring at part of the wall to calm his roiling stomach, but his eyes didn’t miss a thing. All S.H.I.E.L.D’s other snipers were still focused at their stations. No other agents or personnel were in the area. He figured it was safe enough to sit down for a little and wait this out. Again.

He dropped slowly and cautiously, trying not to upset anything further, and dropped his legs over the side. He pressed his forehead to the cool metal of the guard rail and tried to focus on breathing evenly. At least if it all went to hell, it would go right the hell off his platform. Damn, even some personal snark wasn’t helping anything.

He shut his eyes tight and willed himself not to moan out-loud. Getting seen and getting heard were two ways to royally fuck up in this job, and now were also two ways to grab unwanted attention and ridicule over his gastric distress. His snaked one arm around the bar running at chest level and pulled his head down to lean heavily on it, holding it for dear life if his whitened knuckles were anything to go by. Clint’s other hand rested lightly on his stomach, too nervous to even try and ease the nausea by rubbing or curling up this time. By how ragged his breathing sounded, even trying to call in now wouldn’t work. His jaw felt glued together anyway, he really didn’t trust opening his damn trap for anything. Static fizzled over his earpiece and some other agents gave short updates.

After a few minutes with no relief Clint resigned that he might just actually lose it here. He shoved the microphone back and double checked it was switched off. Still on the right channel so just in case they did need him it was easy to radio back, he couldn’t back out but like hell he could get up right now. His stomach lurched and gurgled, leaving him coughing a little into his hand to stifle the sound and hopefully to help keep everything down. He felt a rush of stifling heat and sweat beaded on his neck.

Did he mention this was going to be a long-ass night?

“Got someone moving.” Clint perked up as best he could in this situation. Not the best idea, he shuddered and folded forward a bit more. He groped blindly for the water bottle he had been taking sips from to help quell the nausea with until now. He popped it open with his teeth and waited for someone else to give up more information. Nobody would realize he wasn’t looking right now, they’d all be too busy searching their own areas and figuring he was either doing the same or trained on the target already.

“Can’t see them.” Clint groaned aloud, unable to help it. He took another sip from the bottle, but just ended up spitting it out.

“I swear I will never say anything bad about anyone ever again…” he started mumbling to himself disjointedly. Promising things to any deity he ever heard of, cursing them all out.

“It’s the Director. No worries, everyone,” Agent Hill came over the comms. “He and I are double checking parts of the perimeter. The targets shouldn’t be this far back at all.”

“Fuck. Fuck everything and the damn horse it rode in on,” he swallowed hard and tried to ignore the burning at the back of his throat.

“Confirmed. It is Director Fury and Agent Hill.”

Radio silence returned for another stretch of time. Felt like almost another hour. Clint spat down on to the floor below again. Finally giving in to the urge to wrap his arm tightly around his middle, he rocked himself slightly to see if it helped. It did for a small moment. He let out a shaky sigh and glanced back over at the windows where the sun was now creeping up through the clouds of dirt and grime on the glass. He considered moving back a bit and laying down before radioing in his distress, but not before he was sure it was something he could handle. After a few more intense seconds he decided that was the best plan of action.

After about four more seconds his stomach decided that was a stupid idea and he needed to keep his ass very still right the hell where it was. And less than a second after that, Barton was parting with a good portion of his stomach’s contents. There was no elegant or quiet and stealthy way to cover that. He retched. He shut his eyes and shook a little harder after the fact. Resting his head, defeated, on the railing again, he Clint tried to work up the strength and his voice well enough to call it in if someone wasn’t already beating him to it.

“Damnit Barton,” Fury’s voice vaulted up to where Hawkeye was slumped, “What the hell?!”

Clint opened his eyes slowly, he shook a little more in some vague form of terror that filtered through his sickened mind. He scooted back a bit, ignoring the wet dripping of his own vomit onto the floor below. He pulled the mic piece down and flicked it on.

“Sorry sir, Agent Hawkeye reporting,” his voice shook, wavered and cracked a little, but still carried over the radio and down from his nest, “I think I’m a little under the weather.”

“Well no fucking shit.” Agent Hill had retreated a number of steps from Fury and the mess surrounding him. She pulled her clipboard up and started flipping through pages while putting out a radio call for a med truck and a replacement. If he had felt any better, Clint would have laughed at the absurd sight, but unfortunately he was back to fighting to keep down what was left in his stomach. “If you’re gonna do that again I’d like some damn warning.”

All Hawkeye could manage for warning was a quick ‘move-aside’ hand motion before leaning through the gap in the rail again and vomiting once more. By now everyone in the building knew what was going on and were switching radio channels and trying to ignore the sounds of Clint losing it all over the cemented floor.

After a third bout of being sick, Clint was left dry-heaving and limp against the fever-warmed metal. Too shaky to even hold the water bottle that hadn’t left his side today, leaving it to fall below him too when he tried to grab it. Within minutes two medical technicians were helping him down from his nest. He felt so shaky and wrung out he didn’t even attempt to fight them over being taken out on a stretcher. He just laid on his side and curled in on himself as they pushed him past Hill and Fury, who was still cleaning himself up.

“Next time spare us the damn show and call it in before the firework finale, alright?”

“Got it.”

A Brief Q & A with Luke

;; Okay, since I’m apparently becoming more popular than I expected I would because I am honestly garbage, it has been brought to my attention that I should write up a sort of.. Q & A post, to help people understand me, and how to interact with me, just a little bit better. So here goes.

1. Are you a selective rper?

Not intentionally. I can be a little bit sometimes, but I honestly do my best to at least give everyone a fair chance before saying, ‘hey, you know what, our styles don’t seem to be matching up too well, and it’s just not working for me’. By no means is this a way of saying I don’t want to still be friends, though. I don’t like to exclude anybody, but it does happen sometimes on account of my own personal preferences and comfort level. I have social anxiety, so it does happen sometimes, but I do not ever mean to be selective.

2. Do you rp with self-insert muses?

This right here, is a bit more of an interesting question, because.. Yes, and no. See, this is where some personal preferences come in, and so.. I don’t really rp full, lengthy threads with self-insert muses. However, I would absolutely love to receive in-character asks from your self-insert, and have some fun, short conversations that way. Maybe build up some interaction through the inbox, before getting comfortable enough to try a thread. Again, I don’t like to exclude anybody, so I would of course give you a chance.

3. Can I ask your muse about canon events?

Um, hell fucking YES!! Please do! Ask Varian about the science expo! Ask him about how he felt when Rapunzel ‘broke’ her promise to him! Ask him anything about canon events, I love these kinds of asks!

4. Am I allowed to ask about a thread I liked reading?

OF COURSE!! It’s not canon events, technically, but it goes along the same lines. If you want to ask Varian about the events of a particular thread, or ask him things in a particular verse, you can absolutely just go for it!

5. I saw you made a design for the Moondrop Flower, and it looks so pretty! Can I use it in a fanart I’m making?

Holy carp. If you want to do this, I would honestly be honored that you even ask. My Moondrop flower design is absolutely free for anyone to use in fanart regarding @ghosta-r‘s Moon Theory. All I ask is just a little note of credit for the design and we’re all good.

6. I really like the _____ thread you’re doing with ______! Can I draw fanart of your thread?

I admit no one has asked me this yet, but.. OH MY GOD. If someone wanted to illustrate one of my threads, I would probably scream, and cry, and want to hug you for the rest of eternity, because holy carp, that would mean so much to me. I love getting asks, and feedback on my threads, but getting art is like, such a high honor! If you want to illustrate one of my threads, you don’t even have to ask, just go for it!

7. Do you have any other blogs?

Yes. Like a million of them. Too many to list here, I’m pretty spread out across a lot of fandoms, sometimes with multiple blogs in a fandom. But.. If you want some of my OCs, I can put those here at least. Arsene, Jasper, the Ascension Crew, Kaelan, Joker, Krampus, Artimaes, Darrow, and my Lion King OCs are the main ones I can think to add for this.

8. Do you have any other blogs for ______ fandom?

Regarding other fandoms besides this one, it’s always a good idea to ask about a specific fandom you’re looking for, since there is certainly a possibility I have a blog in that fandom too. As for the Tangled fandom in particular, I do actually have a few other blogs and they’re actually all sideblogs on this one, so yeah! Those are Maximus, Quirin, Varian’s mother (who I’m calling Isabela), an OC named Kaspar (Old Man) Jenkins, and Owl.

9. Can I draw fanart of your OC?

Yes, please. Like I’ve already said, I love getting gift art. So if you want to draw Old Man Jenkins, or any of my other OCs as linked above, please feel free to do so.

10. Your threads and ask replies are all so well written! It’s like I’m actually watching an episode of the series!

Not really a question, but it’s been a consistent compliment I’ve received a few times now, and it still just makes me really happy to get compliments like this. I, like Varian, often crave praise, so yeah. Your compliments are always welcome.

11. I’ve seen you mention that you’re a novelist in your free time. Is there anywhere I could read one of your novels?

If anyone were to actually ask me this, I would die. I am certainly a novelist in my spare time, and if anyone is interested in reading my books, and if you don’t mind that they’re mostly unfinished/currently being heavily edited, then just ask me and I can toss a link your way!

12. I’m not actually an rp blog, but can I rp with you anyway?

Um.. No? I mean, you can send asks and things like that, but if you don’t actually have a muse, it’s very difficult for me to have a thread with a personal blog. Personal blogs are different than self-insert muses, and this goes for sending me rp prompt asks too. If you don’t actually have any sort of muse, please don’t send these.. The symbols and things for my muse to react too.. Can’t be reacted to without another muse there to react to.

13. Are you an exclusive rper?

Not really? I may give priority to people who I consider my mains for a certain muse, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to rp with someone else with the same muse as another mun I rp with.

14. Do you rp with duplicates of your muse? I have the same muse and I would like to thread with you.

Sorry, but I don’t do duplicate rps. I just can’t logically wrap my head around these kinds of threads, so for my own comfort, I just don’t do those. Nothing against you, of course, I love that there are other people who love my muse just as much as I do, and everyone’s portrayal is certainly unique! You’re of course allowed to send asks and stuff and make friends with me, but.. Just not in character, please.

15. Have you been ignoring my asks? I haven’t seen you respond and I’ve sent them several times.

Please don’t ask me this.. I will never intentionally ignore anyone, unless they start acting like this. Don’t send me repeat asks just because I didn’t get to you over the course of a few hours. Jeez.. And it’s no excuse to be a brat about it either, by the way. I am a busy adult with other things to do in my day, so just because I didn’t answer at the speed of light, it doesn’t mean I’m ignoring you.

First post

Hello! This is Hapuriainen’s Attack on Titan sideblog, joining the other equally terribly named fandom side blogs. I'm not yet sure what it will end up being, but for now there's been too much cool SNK stuff on my dash to archive that I don't want it clogging my misc blog, so it started to feel like a good idea to have a separate blog for them. At least the content should now be easier to search with proper tagging.

I only read the manga as a whole a few months ago so I'm super late to the game. When the series became big with the first season of the anime back in 2013 I obviously learned about its existence and learned to recognise the main trio, Colossus Titan and Cleaning Levi, but it never really interested me on any level. For starters anything that even remotely resembles zombies is an instant interest killer for me, and "teenagers in a gritty dystopic setting" isn't exactly my cup of tea either. Plus there's the fact that I really enjoy it when all the characters have a super iconic and memorable design that stands out and is easy to modify for AUs, like if you think of something like Disney Princesses or My Little Ponies for example, you can tell who is who just from colours or themes or symbols alone. But in SNK everyone wears the same thing and looked pretty samey to me. And most importantly the most prominent discussion on it I saw was teens fangirling over how hot Levi is or gushing about how the series is so dark and edgy, so it was too lowly for my elitist tastes to even consider giving it a chance.

Then a few years ago I saw some early manga volumes in a library and thought I could descend from my ivory tower to finally check out what everyone was talking about. Didn't go too well; I still couldn't care less about the concept, and Isayama's shortcomings as an author (the art not being so good, pacing issues, unclear scene transitions) didn't help. That combined with the fact that I had long breaks between the volumes (because I had to wait for the previous borrowers to return them) made me forget who was who and what was going on, so I quickly lost interest and didn't make it further than volume 6 or 7. I think it's somewhat telling that what left the biggest impression on me was not any of the drama or action or world building but the Potato Incident. Later I only had very vague memories of what I had read, but I've never forgotten Sasha's name. Truly the MVP of the series.

Then jump to last March when I was in the same library and spotted the manga again. Since this time there was a lot of volumes available for once and I had walked almost an hour to the library and couldn't find anything else to borrow I picked them up, and became hooked pretty fast once I managed to actually read the story in a way that I could actually remember the events of the previous volumes. I ended up marathoning the series in week or two with ch 91 being the most recent chapter out at the time I got to it, and the reading experience has to be one of the most emotionally exhaustive ones I can remember. Now SNK has dethroned One Piece from its almost 2 year reign as my Most Obsessed Thing.

Being so late to the party feels a little lonely, but on the other hand with such a huge fandom there is now an endless supply of brand new content for me to discover. And since I'm like five years late everyone has probably discussed everything I might have to say ages ago, but I won't let that stop me in case I come up with something to write down.

How would your enemies describe you? Again, I am not sure. I have plenty of flaws but I wouldn’t know if enemies would pick up on those or invent stuff to hate me for :P

Who would you take a bullet for? this is a hard one. if I was actually presented with this situation I might be rendered completely frozen even if the people I loved most were in danger.... or might be willing to throw myself in harm’s way for complete strangers. I think it would depend in the moment.

If you had money to spare what would you buy first? How much money are we talking here? If I had the space I’d want to get myself a proper desk and two-screen set up for art and vidya games. If we’re talking a LOT of money then I’d like to buy my own house or something ;D

Song stuck in my head: this is a funny question bc last night when I was trying to get to sleep I had like 8 songs stuck in my head but now I can’t remember any of them? The heme from ‘heartbeat’ has been rattling around my brain for the past week bc I keep watching it with my dad. I really like Bastille too, so a lot of their new stuff keeps popping up in my brain from time to time!

What are you wearing right now: thermals leggings under fluffy pj bottoms. thermal socks under fuzzy slipper socks. a portal/bioshock infinite graphic tee under my dressing gown and also a weird snuggie thing. It’s cold. I hate the cold :’(

When did you create your blog: this one was actually called something different and used to be used as a dumping ground for pr0n gifs ;) It became an overwatch blog in July, so 6 months.

What kind of stuff do you post: This is my overwatch sideblog! I post some of my own gameplay videos from time to time as well as reblogging whatever I fancy. Lots of meihem <3

Why did you choose the URL: Lucio’s my favourite hero and I also used to p much auto-pick him. Anyway, I had a lot of run-ins with Reapers because of this and became very bitter very quickly at how they could kill me in like 1/2 shots and found that something I liked to do was bother them -  as in boop them away so their shots become less effective and make them have to wraith away when trying to flank etc. (video evidence here) Anyway, yes I am a proud reaper botherer ;D

Average hours of sleep: at the moment I’m dealing with p bad chronic fatigue so am sleeping like 12 hours a day -__-

1. Why did you choose your url?

I wanted something evoking the feeling of calmness, serenity, peace of mind. I think my original choice was whispering-winds, but it was taken

2. Any side blogs?

a bunch, more or less active. I have the Critical Role sideblog for the show, a private diary/journal one where from time to time I write letters to myself (it’s a nice form of practicing self-love), I have one that’s basically an online forest @silence-of-earth, which I haven’t updated in ages, but the vibe is very nice, it has forest sounds playlist and all. it does take horribly long to load properly unfortunately, but it’s full of nice calm forest pictures and gifs and running streams. I also have like three scrapped ones with various mixes of reference pictures etc.

3. How long have you been on tumblr? 

my first blog that lasted like 2 months was created sometime in early 2014, then this one came to life in october the same year.

yeah, it’s “q” and it’s full of art

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? 

a friend in my graphic design/advertisement school showed it to me saying this is The Place for arts and fandom

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

it pleases my mood and aesthetic

7. Why did you choose your header? 

out of frustration as the second best option after I’d spent 20 minutes unsuccessfully trying to crop a vertical photo of some berries in a way that would not go totally wonky in every other header view except the one into which I loaded it originally. never again.

8. What’s your post with the most notes? 

I almost said it’s the Slavic Languages Gothic, but that one was long ago left in the dust by that shitpost screenshot I took of two fanfiction works side by side with two extremely different ratios of words to the nubmer of chapters.

I have no idea. I am fairly certain it’s at least more than 10 tho, bc that’s how many I could recall off the top of my head and my memory is terrible

966-ish bc it’s been fluctuating between 960-970 for what feels like years now

it’s a semi-unconsious habit at this point, almost like opening the fridge out of boredom

I try to quietly sit in my own corner bc this is the one place where I can avoid having to confront people. unless we’re talking about the proper ways of making mizeria. or what do you call the action of going outside in polish

No. fuck that. I’ve had a lifetime of guilt-tripping and I do not need this shit here in my relax space.
