Philippines Travel Mart 2017

The three-day Philippine Travel Mart 2017 which has been held last September 1-3, 2017 at SMX Convention Center had been a great avenue for both the public and private sectors of the tourism industry as well as to the tourism market. It had been a great opportunity for everyone to form better network and collaborate in boosting local tourism and the local economy. 

Aside from the wonderful exhibits and booths representing each provinces in the country, different local airline and cruise companies also offered promo fares which the tourism market lined up for while hotels and travel agencies showcased their competitive services at the event and encouraged the tourism market to avail them as well.

GETS Travel had the opportunity to participate in the said event and I was lucky enough that I was with my boss Ma’am Doreen Foo, Operations Manager of GETS Travel. I helped handling inquiries at the booth and help her as well in looking for potential suppliers to tie-up with. I was thankful enough to be there and for that opportunity because it was a new learning environment. I was exposed to different kinds of people, from different sectors of the tourism industry, from different parts of the country.
