HISTORY: Michelle Mai was an aspiring actress in California who never found much success. Often plagued by rejection, she strove to express herself on the silver screens of Hollywood, but never found proper work outside of cheap productions of well-trod tales of Shakespeare, Sondheim, and Webber. Frequently having to do menial labor around her hometown as a cleaner and housemaid to make ends meet, she lived a quiet and largely unhappy life with her sister, Sharona Mai. Around 1999, however, her life took a sudden and sharp turn towards the bizarre. In the summer of 1999, her sister became very ill very suddenly - acting very oddly for a few hours one late evening and staggering about in a panicked daze. Sharona suddenly started moving with uncanny precision, saving two people from potentially-lethal accidents, and rescuing a dog from the speeding car of a drunk driver - before collapsing with unnatural fatigue.

When Michelle asked her sister what was happening, Sharona swore she'd just relived the same hour of her life four times, and became delirious and unresponsive from then on. No doctors were able to identify a cause, and Sharona fell into a strange coma - her entire body perfectly still as if frozen in time.

In the years since then, Michelle had been contacted by the international Speedwagon Foundation and told that her sister had awakened to a strange power, known as a "Stand" - a spiritual embodiment of one's mind and soul. This unusual awakening, they said, was a means of protecting herself from seemingly-unrelated events on the opposite side of the world. Through the blood connection to her sister, Michelle had also felt an awakening within herself at this time, manifesting an unusual ghostly Stand faithfully to her side. To better assist the Mai sisters, the Speedwagon Foundation took Sharona to a special facility in rural Nevada for protection and observation. Not wanting to be far from her sister, Michelle relocated her life to the nearby small town of San Gilberto, a suburb of Las Vegas. As she had been told, and so it has seemed lately, Stands attract Stands - and so this new daily life is plagued by events both bizarre and dangerous as she now strives to find a cure for Sharona's unusual condition. PERSONALITY: Michelle is a person aching to be inventive and creative, stifled by the route repetition of the daily work needed to maintain her life. Frequently mentally exhausted, she is sour-faced and cold to most despite her well-meaning nature. She is deeply methodical, bordering on obsessive about things being orderly and in their proper places - particularly fixated on maintaining parallel lines, multiples of 5, and even numbers. This strict methodology manifests inwardly as extreme perception of her surroundings, taking in even the smallest of details with her thorough observations. Though she often has much to say, she usually holds her peace in conversations, contributing only what she feels is simplest to explain - adding to the sense of coldness and seriousness others get from her. Her creative and artistic nature comes out in short bursts among close company, often in the form of short witticisms or jokes that seem wildly out-of-character for her to those who only see her as steely and curt. Michelle's hobbies include television dramas, comic books, and gun assembly.

STAND ABILITY: [COHEED & CAMBRIA] (localized name: Cambrian Coffee) is an artificial humanoid Stand that creates holes. By making a specific gesture with its index and/or middle fingers, C&C can punch a perfectly circular hole in any surface, but the maximum depth, width, and destructive power of the holes it creates are inversely proportional to its proximity to the target. That is to say, the further away C&C is from a target, the more destructive it is. At 50 meters, C&C has created a hole the width of a golf-ball through a human body. At less than 2 meters, C&C can only create perforating pinholes.

In activating its ability, COHEED & CAMBRIA creates a nearly-invisible bullet-shaped construct of Stand Energy which accelerates endlessly the longer it travels, starting from approximately 500 km/h. Contact with the directional force of this "bullet" causes a hole to immediately form in whatever it touches, and the "bullet" then dissipates. While this projectile is incredibly difficult to see, and harder still to avoid at any range where its had time to build speed, it is possible for this "bullet" to be deflected, blocked by another object, or dodged. The bullet cannot be controlled by C&C, but can be redirected by ricochet off of another Stand or Stand-affected object. C&C can create multiple "bullets" at a time, although the rate of creating them is limited by the gesture the Stand needs to perform. These bullet-like projectiles are part of the Stand, and are often de-manifested mid-flight if C&C misses its target.

COHEED & CAMBRIA also has a secondary ability - [FAVOR HOUSE ATLANTIC] (Localized name: Good Eye Sniper) - which allows it to focus its vision onto the tiniest of targets, or extend its vision to inhuman distances. At maximum magnification, FAVOR HOUSE ATLANTIC allows C&C to see clearly out to about 1.6 kilometers (1 mile), or focus its vision down to seeing cells and bacteria like a microscope.

Hey howdy hello. So I, like any sane college senior, dedicated my summer to writing a self-indulgent and absolutely insane JJBA fanfic with an original character and Rohan mfing Kishibe of all people?

How I got here, I don't know.

It's being finished this Friday, with an epilogue and two spin offs coming soon as well.

Full disclosure, your girl hasn't written a fanfic in like 10 years, so she's rough, but I got urged to put it up here so here we go I guess.

If you guys want, I can post the actual FIC here too, I just need time to figure that out because I've never really POSTED on tumblr before. So... yea uh.

Simple enough question ahoy;

What are each of the Batfam’s favorite Godzilla movies, both Toho and Monsterverse?

Oooh, thank for the excellent ask! I will take any chance I can get to use my abundant, yet useless, knowledge of Godzilla. My apologies upfront. I can a little... pedantic about these things.

Bruce - He loves the Millennium era movies, particularly Godzilla vs Mech-Godzilla (1999). 

There’s  one specific line you can only get in the dubbed version, “Too many meetings can change a man’s destiny”. It’s a motto inscribed in Bruce’s heart. He loves to mumble it to Alfred as he heads out the Wayne Enterprises for a Board Meeting.

Dick & Tim - These two are on the same page and adore the campiness, bad dubbing and dreadful special effects of the Showa Era. 1969′s All Monsters Attack is their favorite for sheer over-the-top lunacy. 

There’s Daddy Godzilla, kid Minizilla, some strange Japanese child in shorts with an overactive imagination and (wait for it) bank robbers. Tim has been known to get laughing so hard he snorts Zesti through his nose when Dick starts inserting his own dialogue or singing love songs to various Kaiju. 

Jason - He will always default to 1998′s Godzilla done by Roland Emmerich.

It’s partly because he knows everyone else hates the movie. Jason gets a big kick out seeing New York City thoroughly trashed - especially Madison Square Garden. Seeing the home of the hated Knicks go up in flames never fails to make him smile. 

Cassandra - At first she was confused about cheering for a large bizarre lizard who caused more property damage than Bane on a bender but eventually warmed up to the big green guy. She is currently enamored of the Reiwa era film, Shin Godzilla (2106). 

She likes the fourth evolution where he can shoot lasers from his mouth, spines and tail all at once. It’s very efficient. And pretty.

Damian - Dami considered himself a Godzilla purist, so nothing but the original Godzilla (1954) will do for him. 

He appreciates the subtle cinematography and the idea of Godzilla representing the atomic bomb.  Although he’d never admit it, Damian does get a kick out of seeing Godzilla rise from Tokyo Bay to level the city. 

Stephanie hates everything about the movies. Tim once dragged her to a retro film festive that showed all the Toho movies. In order. For two full days. Just the sound of Godzilla’s roar is enough to make her run for hills.

Barbara likes the modern Legendary movies best, particularly Godzilla King of The Monsters (2019). 

Why? Because as a college student she spent one miserable summer in Boston going to seminar at Boston University. She lived in a cramped, un-airconditioned dorm room that smelled like feet. Watching Godzilla, King Ghidora, Mothra and Rodan level a good swath of the city feel a little bit like karma for her. She’s been known to cackle in an unhinged manner when Fenway Park gets stomped. Dick finds it vaguely unsettling. 

Duke - He’s not really up to date on all of the various versions of Gojira, but he’s let himself be talked into going to the midnight premiere of Godzilla Minus One when it comes out in December.

Dick and Tim are planning to do cosplay, so Duke isn’t quite sure what he’s gotten himself into.
