Sharing some of my retro tech.

I did a live stream on YouTube for the first time. It's not very good, but here it is. The point of the live stream was, essentially, to test live streaming to YouTube using analog video equipment. It mostly worked, though there is a lot of room for improvement.

The topic of this video is, vaguely, my video editing setup, and how I went from DVCAM to Betacam SP. This is fairly niche, pointless 90s video editing nuance that is probably uninteresting to 99% of people, so as an added bonus I shared a found-footage video tape from a midwestern computer show in the 1990s.

I always really liked this one! The Sitar, Steel Pans and Ney were my top 3 favorites, but this is another one I would say was in my top 10.

I hope someone sees this and remembers Encarta, I loved it so much, I played it after school every day in 3-6th grade, then I got an N64 in 1998 so I still played encarta but also started playing Mario games.

I got this when I 9 for Christmas and it was one of my favorite computer games! This music section sparked my love of sitars and steel drums (which I played in middle school bc somehow our small Catholic school had a whole set of steel drums and it was the best!!) I hold so much love for Encarta 97 and it's touching that I got to watch this again all these years later and still remember how it all sounds and how much 3rd grade me spent hours on this and enjoyed every second! It also encouraged me to listen to Arab music since my dad's side is Lebanese and Syrian.

I have a bunch of stills I took from the video I downloaded from youtube, so if anyone remembers and likes this, I'll be posting a lot more.
