Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Type K, 1977. The original Firebird Type K was done in 1977 under the direction of GM executive designer David Holls. The first Type K (for Kammback) prototypes were built from fiberglass. However GM's Design VP met with Italian coach builder Pininfarina and arranged to have two metal-bodied Type K’s constructed for show purposes. In late 1977, Pininfarina delivered the twin wagons - a silver one with a red interior and a gold one with natural beige interior. These were 1978 cars, but later converted to look like 1979-80 models.

1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S
The color is Luci del Bosco Metallizzato (Light of the Woods) with Gobi (beige) vinyl upholstery and cloth seat inserts. It’s hard to envision a more appropriate—and appealing—color combination in the era of gold shag carpet and Harvest Gold appliances.
A total of 338 examples of the Miura P400 S were built between 1968 and 1971.

'Space-Age Salon' - the Gerard Bollei Salon in the Galleria Building - Manhattan, NYC (1978)
An excellent example of the 1960s-1970s sleek futurism that would later be revived in Y2K Futurism in the 90s-2000s.
Designed by Allan Hagelthorn and Larry Barcher
Scanned from the Dec. 1978 issue of Interior Design Magazine

Lamborghini Countach LP400 ‘Periscopio,’ 1975, by Bertone. R M Sotheby's Paris Auction in February next year is chock-full of treats. An early Countach, looking just the way Marcello Gandini had intended is being offered. The auction listing is laking in details but the pictures are worth a thousand words. The auction estimate is €750,000 - €900,000 EUR
