The way in which John later said that "Dig a Pony" was a garbage, nonsense, gibberish song of his own that had no meaning, yet some people suspect it was him writing to Paul about Paul (the things that he admires most about Paul, and the things that also frustrate him about Paul)... and in the Let it Be recording sessions Paul told him that he loved it when John first played it for him, and John drily said something back along the lines of "well I love it too, sometimes." 馃 HMMM... it really makes u think...

LYRICS
As I walk along, I wonder
What went wrong with our love
A love that was so strong
And as I still walk by, I think of
The times we've had together
While our hearts were young
I'm a-walking in the rain
Tears is falling and I feel the pain
Wishing you were here by me
To end this misery
And I wonder
(I, I, I, I wonder) yeah, baby
Why (why? Why? Why? Why? Why?)
You went away
And I wonder where you will stay
My little runaway
Run, run, run, run, runaway (play it, James)
I'm a-walking in the rain
Tears is falling and I feel the pain
Wishing you were here by me
To end this misery
And I wonder
(I, I, I, I wonder)
Why (why? Why? Why? Why? Why?)
You went away
And I wonder where you will stay
My little runaway
Run, run, run, run, runaway
Run, run, run, run, runaway
Run, run, run, run, runaway

[END OF THE SONG, ELVIS TALKING]
They said to give 'em a minute, so I'll, I'll recite something
Forescore, nah, forget it
Everybody ready?
didn't get the chance to hear the future is a foreign land in the credits so i just listened for the first time and apparently haven't cried enough to ghost in the past 24 hours
Going insane today over the implication that I heard in the above podcast that "I Want You" was not written by John about Yoko originally, and that the song was perhaps instead about how much he wrestled with wanting to be with Paul, as the "she's so heavy" part was originally a separate song that was only combined with it later on during the Abbey Road recording sessions.
In my bones I just feel that this is likely the case. The whole dark, ominous, lusty feeling of the song just seems way more like something you'd write about somebody who you were not already with in a totally reciprocated sense and that you struggled deeply over your desire for, you know what I mean?
The four nations participating in the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship for Final 4 (Spain, France, Netherlands, and England) also tied for winners of the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest, however, instead of England, the winner was the United Kingdom.
