A Super Cool Look: The 1969 Camaro looks super cool even today! It's sleek and has a tough appearance that makes people go "Wow!" You could get it as a regular car or as a convertible, and you could choose cool stuff like stripes, spoilers, and special wheels to make it stand out even more.
Strong and Powerful: Under the hood, the '69 Camaro had lots of options for engines. Some were small, some were huge, but all of them were strong! The fastest versions, like the SS and Z/28, were like race cars for the streets. They were really quick and handled great!

Some of the Rarest and Most Expensive Chevrolet Impalas Ever Made
Tumblr media
One of the most well-known American automakers, Chevrolet has produced a variety of iconic vehicles, including the Cavalier, Silverado, Camaro, and Impala. The Chevrolet Impala, introduced in 1958, is one of the company's highest-selling vehicles, with more than 13 million units moved from its inception until 2000, including 1.05 million alone in 1965, when it was the best-selling car in the United States. US News & World Report ranked the Impala as the most affordable large car in 2014, but Chevrolet has produced several high-priced luxury editions of the vehicle over the years.
The Impala Z11 is one of the rarest and most expensive editions of the vehicle Chevy ever produced. Boasting a 430 horsepower engine with 575 pound-foot of torque, Chevrolet designed the Z11 as a racing vehicle for NASCAR and other competitions. It was primarily built out of aluminum to reduce its weight and, thus, increase its speed. It also doesn't have many typical interior features that the average driver demands, such as a radio and heater. Chevy only built 57 Impala Z11s. One of the two black versions of the vehicle was sold for $432,000 at a Mecum Auction in Kissimmee, Florida, in 2017.
The Chevy Impala Super Sport, released in 1961, was a mid-year upgrade option with power steering and power brakes, chassis reinforcements, and metallic brake linings. The SS 409 was the most popular of the models, featuring a 348 engine with a Carter carb, aluminum intake, and four-speed manual transmission. Chevrolet only sold 142 first-year SS models and discontinued the vehicle in 1969. Today, a good-condition 1961 Impala SS 409 is worth about $200,000.
Chevrolet produced a higher-performing SS in its final year of production in 1969. The 1969 Impala SS l72 was rated at 425 hp and featured 427 cubic-inch powerplants. Chevrolet made fewer than 2,500 units of the 1969 Impala SS, and fewer than 600 customers opted for the L72 engine, making the vehicle a valuable commodity today. In addition to its impressive engine performance, the vehicle featured a revamped grille with deep-mounted dual headlights and a unique body shape with its fenders obtruding around the wheel wells.
The 1958 Impala Rochester, which debuted the maligned X-frame Chevies with high-end sections as opposed to a traditional perimeter-style frame, is another relatively rare Impala. Featuring a W-Series V8 Turbo Thrust engine capable of producing 315 hp, the beautiful Fuelie convertible was sold for $484 when introduced. Today, it can fetch upward of $150,000 at auction.
The 1973 Impala ACRS is another limited edition vehicle, although not one that might command a high sale price at an auction, which is especially noteworthy because there is believed to be only one still in existence. Chevrolet made only about 1,000 units of the experimental vehicle, which was designed to test the effectiveness of General Motors' first airbag - the Air Cushion Restraint System (ACRS). However, most of them were used for crash testing purposes.
Someone tried to sell an Impala ARCS at a Bonhams auction in Greenwich, Connecticut, in 2009. Bonhams gave it a pre-auction price estimate between $70,000 and $90,000, which was more than 20 times its original sale price, but the vehicle didn't meet its reserve.
Chevrolet discontinued the Impala model in 2020.
