This is Emerelda.

She's my 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7.

You may have seen her in my videos. She's my only car. My daily driver.

My son Logan and I have been restoring her for the past 7 years (since he was 14) and we're mostly learning as we go as I knew NOTHING about cars when this whole thing started.

We've driven her all over Tennessee together.

Especially when Logan decided he wanted to learn how to cosplay, and joined the 501st as a First Order Snowtrooper.

Other than having to replace the engine 10 months into owner her... she's been really reliable.

We named her after Harvey Fierstein's character from my film Animal Crackers.

My son is away at college now and he's on his way home for the summer where he's already got a list of things he wants to fix on her.

It's been a great experience learning alongside him.

I still know so little about cars... but who cares?

We're learning together.
