Early Staffordshire Figures have a certain charm, different to the later Victorian types.... we have a good number in stock at present, enough to host an entire gallery just for the early ones..... see banner on our home page (right side). #mooraboolantiques #moorabool_antiques #geelong #antiques #antiquesaustralia #aaada #antiqueshop #antiquedealersofinstagram #antiquesarecool #antique_interior #interiordesign #decorating #centralgeelong #VisitGeelong #VisitGeelongBellarine #australianceramics #antiqueceramics #antiquepottery #18thCentury #18thCenturyBling #18thCenturyPottery #GeorgianPottery #StaffordshireFigures #GoFigure #FineFigure https://www.instagram.com/p/BmGER8wD3f_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ehpcgnttaf4

A pair of tin-glazed bough pots, initially thought to be French, but much more interesting: they bear the 3 crescent mark for #Hannoversch-Münden, Lower Saxony , Germany. This town was in the realm of the English Hanoverian monarchs, and George II granted them a concession for a "Porzellain Fabrique" with the exclusive production privilege for #Münden and the surrounding area in 1755. They also bear a handy painters mark , ‘K’ - and while I had dated them circa 1780, this mark verifies it- it was used by Karl Friedrich Krause, active between 1777 and 1786. Bingo! These were part of our #freshstocktuesdays release today on Moorabool.com, see them in the ‘Premium’ section. #mooraboolantiques #moorabool_antiques #geelong #antiques #antiquesaustralia #aaada #antiqueshop #antiquedealersofinstagram #interiordesign #decorating #centralgeelong #VisitGeelong #australianceramics #antiqueceramics #germanantique #germanantiquepottery #antiquepottery #porcelaine #flowervases #18thCentury #18thcenturyPottery #18thCenturyBling (at Moorabool Antique Galleries)
