Listen, Dean may have still died, but he died HUMAN. They both ended up together in Heaven, rather than together in purgatory or forever separated in hell or the empty. Sam did make it better! Because they actually got to live free, TOGETHER, even if for a short time.

And then they get eternity in paradise Jack built.

Also, really. If Sam and Eileen can be “sealed-with-a-kiss-canon” after the little we’ve seen of them together, then Cas and Dean should long have gone canon too. I think there are romantic feelings involved between them. But they haven’t gotten a kiss yet and they’ve been developed as a couple for way longer than Sam and Eileen have.

Where is my “sealed-with-a-kiss-canon” for Dean and Cas? I’ve been waiting for over 10 years now.

Let’s talk about Dean’s prayer. I know everyone is, but let’s really look at it, after this gif:

Praying for Dean is the same as begging. So this:

“Cas?  Cas, I hope you can hear me, that wherever you are, it’s not too late. I should’ve stopped you. You’re my best friend, but I just let you go. Cause it was easier than admitting I was wrong. I don’t know why I get so angry. It’s just always been there. And when things go bad, it just comes out. And I can’t stop it, no matter how bad I want to, I just can’t stop it. And I forgive you. Of course I forgive you. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry it took me until now to say it. Cas, I’m so sorry. Man, I hope you can hear me. I hope you can hear me.”

This is Dean BEGGING Cas to forgive him. The raw desperation...

i find the emphasis on the ‘of course i forgive you’ really interesting, it shows me that dean is not only realising he was wrong for being so mad and is apologising, it also shows that he is trying to convey all his emotions to cas without actually saying them, because as i previously mentioned he is scared of these emotions. that emphasis is him conveying everything he’s ever wanted to say to cas, it’s his way of saying ‘you mean so much to me and i love you, i’ll always forgive you, i need you to understand this, i need you to know how much i care’ he’s telling cas that still cares and that he will always care. almost trying to disprove all cas said about him not caring when they first fought in 15x03. but i feel like it’s him also trying to tell himself that he truly forgives cas, in the prayer he also says that he can’t stop the anger no matter how hard he tries, this emphasis could represent him fighting back against his anger that tells him to push cas away, he’s telling his anger that ‘no i forgive cas and i always will’

he’s trying his best to get an ‘i love you’ out, but he’s struggling. hopefully we’ll get one before the end though
