15 Day BL Challenge - Day 4

Day 4: Fave Ship Dynamic

Since I can't choose one favorite dynamic, I'll allow myself to write a few:

EQUALITY in a relationship will always be my top priority, which I understand as a situation where no one is exploited, or led like a child in the relationship, or dominated, even if one of them is naturally dominant. To make it more complicated, I actually like relationships in which one is clearly more dominant, for example stronger physically, or in the hierarchy, is richer, has power, BUT NOT OVER THEIR LOVED ONE, is actually even dependent on him. The point is that both have the same power over each other, are equally dependent on each other, both support each other to the best of their abilities, no one gives more or less. It is ideal when the seamingly "weaker" one has even a slight advantage in the relationship, to make it more fair. A good example of this relationship is Hannibal or Nagron 😋 There are many BL series with equal characters, most of them will appear below (but I'll start with a gif of these guys, equal in everything, and that widening of Zhou Zi Shu's eyes at the sight of Wen Ke Xing is one of the best things in BLs I've ever seen 💖)

most often, equality in a relationship goes hand in hand with my second favorite dynamic: when both are mature. I LOVE it when a couple is made up of adults, mature people who know who they are, know that they are interested in each other and the only obstacles in their relationship are external. From BL series, these are: Laws of Attraction, Manner of Death, Jun & Jun (excellent examples 10/10) as well as The Untamed, Word of Honor, KinnPorsche, 4 Minutes, Our Dating Sim, To Sir, With Love. This equality and maturity can just as well appear in series with young characters as in The On1y One

my other favorite dynamic also goes hand in hand with equality: when both are smart, they are professionals in what they do, like in The Sign, Laws of Attraction, The On1y One, Be Loved In House: I Do, Jun & Jun (see the gif above) and of course The Untamed and Word of Honor (I can't help but mention Beyond Evil, The Devil Judge, Killer and Healer, not BLs we all know better 😎)

when both are good at communication, I love it when characters TALK to each other, even when they argue, as long as they COMMUNICATE

the best and the rarest: when they trust each other and believe in each other, that the other person will handle the truth, the problems, that they will help, that TOGETHER THEY WILL DEAL with whatever life throws at them, when they talk about what's going on in their lives including the bad stuff, no noble sacrifice and keeping the loved one in the dark "for their own good". It's very possible that in all the BLs I've watched there was a couple who was honest with each other from the beginning until the end, but I can't remember one now... (Beyond Evil, Love in Translation started doing it by the end)

but I also like it when someone in the couple is unhinged, crazy, like Sahashi in Cosmetic Playlover, or a himbo like Sprite in Twins, or a golden retriever type but a real one like in Sing My Crush, especially when the other one is a bit grumpy and gloomy, like in those series, I love it!

I also like calm, stoic, solid types, at the same time totally whipped for their loved ones 🥰 such as the characters played by Noh in Nitiman and Oh! My Sunshine Night. Special mention should be made of someone similar to this type, but also noble and old-fashioned in a charming way, like San from Century of Love, and the guys from To Sir, With Love

#janbuild25 Day 15 — Where I Play(ed) The Sims

I play on a laptop wherever I can... nothing exciting. So let me invite you where I first began playing instead: Welcome to our family living room circa 2005! I'd seen a kid in our building playing The Sims. Sadly our first attempt at piracy to copy the game shortcut to a floppy disk wasn't successful, but I did get a working copy eventually. I was a latckey kid, so The Sims was both a babysitter and an English tutor for me. I'd get home from school, do my homework, and boot the game. While I loved every minute of it, I was genuinely terrified of the ghosts at the Goth house, the sound effects alone would give me the chills!

Diary Entry - January 19, 2025 // Weekend Reflections

Hey, lovelies. I didn’t post or even write for a couple of days because I really needed to rest. While work weeks don’t seem extremely long to me, they’re busy and I usually have 6 or 7 classes in a row with no time in between (besides 5 minutes here or 15 minutes there). This is only one of the reasons I can’t wait for this school year to end. My contract ends in late June, and I don’t plan to renew it. Anyway, I had a good weekend, and I hope you did too and that you’re feeling ready and motivated enough for the new week. Highlights of this weekend ✨I had the chance to rest and sleep in - both were much needed. ✨I spent time with my lovely doggo, Frodo. ✨I practiced Spanish on Duolingo - I’m veeeery close to completing the January challenge. ✨I played Stardew Valley with my partner!!! ✨I also played Sims 3, and gosh it was so fun. ✨I prepped all nicely for the new week! I took care of myself and my body, printed materials and activities for my classes, tidied and cleaned up my space. ✨I reflected on the past week and kept track of the progress I’m making with my goals. My meh moments ❌I had in mind to have a long work-out or yoga session but I didn’t. My muscles were in pain on Saturday, and I just felt like resting my body. ❌Somehow, I didn’t write at all - besides this post for this blog. ❌I want to get started on my bullet journal for this year but I’ve procrastinating a lot. Oh, gosh. My goals for this week (more or less) 💜Get to 7k words (my monthly goal is 8k words and I’ve written around 5.500 words so far). 💜Write a blog post and finish a fanfiction that’s been a wip for a while. 💜Track calories on MyFitnessPal. 💜Renew car assistance. 💜Work-out twice this week. 💜Read 40 pages of the book I've been reading. 💜Get started on my bullet journal, finally. 💜Make a February content calendar. 💜Watch one Star Trek The Next Generation episode. I mean, I’ve been watching it forever and I feel like I’ll never finish it. I don’t know how many of these things I’ll actually do, but I’m hopeful. I’m also grateful for my 3 new followers on this blog. Thank you all for joining me on this journey! Happy New Week!

Today's (1/15/2025) Episode: Changing Circumstances

Shortly after xir dinner date Skye headed to the clinic for a follow-up appointment with xir wrist surgeon. “Your x-ray shows your wrist is healing just like it should.” Dr. Fish said, much to her patient's relief “I’ll remove the hardware that’s been holding everything in place and send the cast technician in to fit you with your new cast.” Do you have any questions?” Skye shook xir head, turning away as she removed the temporary plate and screw.

Noemi was surprised to see Skye choose a dark blue color for xir hard cast. “Are you sure you don’t want something lighter so you can ask your friends to sign it?”

Xe shook xir head “I like this.” and if I don’t ask anyone to sign, they can’t say no or write something stupid Skye thought, imagining the sort of doddles Bruce and his new sidekick, Elye’s little brother Orson, would find “so funny” to add to xir newest accessory.

Just a couple doors down Dr. Fish was chuckling as she entered the exam room of her next patient. “For a minute there I thought the front desk had made a mistake… its not everyday I see two sims with the same last name back-to-back.”

“Well,” Luigi shrugged, “I figured we were already going to be here, might as well kill two birds with one stone.”

The doctor nodded before sitting down at the computer and consulting his chart. “So, I see here that Dr. Cody recommended surgery, but you choose to go the route of steroid injections, which you’ve been receiving to treat your carpel tunnel for quite awhile. I would agree those are really your only two medical treatment options at this point. I’m a surgeon; I don’t administer injections, so I’m not sure how I can help.”

In the privacy of the small room Luigi finally felt comfortable coming clean.

“For a long time now I’ve been told that Carpel Tunnel release surgery was the recommended treatment option for my condition, but I was scared to go under the knife. I saw what a great job you did with my kid, and I trust you to do just as good a job with me. I’m tired of struggling to do simple things like button my shirt, and I’m really tired of being in pain. Just give me whatever paperwork you need me to sign, because I’m ready to do this.”

“I appreciate the compliment Mr. Lawbourne. I’ll do my best to earn the trust you’ve placed in me.”

“Hey, you.” Noemi cornered her spouse later that evening as he finished up grooming Roach. “About that “thing” you did today…”

Luigi turned, cocking an inquisitive eyebrow as she continued. “While I’ll never be happy that you got yourself into this predicament, I’m proud of you for scheduling the release surgery. Also, thank you for waiting until after Skye is due to get xir cast removed, the last thing I need is two gimpy sims to take care of at once!” she laughed.

“Hey, like I told Papa on our wedding day” Luigi smiled “it’s waited this long, I think it can wait a little while longer. I’m still not thrilled about having surgery, but at least I feel good about the doctor who's going to be cutting into me!”

“That’s really all you can ask for” Noemi nodded. “Now, I think someone has been a very good boy. Are you ready to receive your reward?”

“You know I could never say no to that!” he grinned, taking her hand and letting her lead him to the bedroom to enjoy their favorite pastime.

TS4: "That's Not My Neighbor" Challenge

You've recently moved into a new neighborhood to kickstart your new life of young adulthood and poor decisions. You've only been in your place for a few hours before there's a knock at your door; it's the welcome wagon! How nice! They stay over for a few hours before taking their leave, gushing over how excited they are to have such a good neighbor; however, shortly after they leave, there's another knock at the door. It's your neighbor again. Back so soon? Not to mention, they're acting so strange. You remembered how nice they were, and now, they're being down right rude.. and did Bella Goth always have such piercing blue eyes? You then remember the myths -- doppelgängers is what they called them. You take a step back. You're starting to think that the person at your door is not your neighbor.

Sound interesting? Wanna give this challenge a try? Dope! Let's get into the specifics!

Just a heads up, I'm very privileged to say that I have so many game add-ons and mods that I can't tell nor remember all that is base game or not. Don't feel bad if you can't follow the guidelines exactly. The point is to play your game in a different way and have fun :) Don't stress the specifics. Anyways~

• Make doppelgangers of the neighbors in your world (however many is up to you; I did 15) and your sim and replace them with the sims that "are not currently in the world". This will help ensure that they are in game with as little work as possible. Be sure that you move everyone to the "other households" tab by un-hearting them • Your sim must start of with a bad, awful, or atrocious reputation. Did you really think people were just going to believe you about a Bob Pancakes copy cat? You sound crazy; prove them wrong. Speaking of crazy... • Your sim must have either the paranoid OR the erratic trait. You'd go crazy, too, if you didn't know if you were talking the real person or a copy of them. Not to mention, you probably have a doppelgänger out there, too (spoiler alert: you do). • Your sim must have the nosey OR klepto trait. How are you going to collect evidence otherwise? Even still... • Your sim must have either the socially awkward trait OR gloomy trait. There's not really an eloquent way to say "There are copies of people out there" without people either being put off or giving you a snide "Yeah, they're called twins". It's really depressing when people aren't willing to give you a chance and listen.

• Figure out who your real neighbors are and purge the fakes • Restore your good name • Prove to others that these creatures exist and that you aren't being delusional or hallucinating

• Discover and purge all of the doppelgängers -- Be sure to keep track of how many you've created, because you've gotta find them and win a fight with them in order for them to be "reported" to the DDD • Obtain a paranormal investigation license -- Not just anyone can go monster hunting; you could get yourself killed! It'd be best to approach it with some knowledge. Let people know that you're qualified for this type of stuff! • Restore your reputation to "great" -- Not the highest level of reputation, but still good enough that people are actually willing to be around you for more than 5 minutes when you start rabbling about copies of people walking among you all • Successfully complete a hard level paranormal case -- Prove to the people that you are a pro! No hand-holding here! When you're on the case, there's no chance of failure • Max out the charisma skill -- Smooth talkers can make people believe anything. Not to mention, it makes you more pleasant to listen to • Max out the Vampire Lore skill -- You're not some one trick pony; you can do it all! Of course you know how to handle something as simple as vampires. What monster hunter doesn't? • Turn an occult sim human -- Having super human abilities is cool and all, but some people see it as a curse. Cure an occult sim ... or make them human so they'll never hurt anyone again.

• No cheats for aspiration points! You've gotta work your butt off for that paranormal license! • No money cheats! You can use cheats to move into your home; however, after that, you've gotta work for your money • You must fight (or off) the doppelgänger successfully for it to "get reported" to the DDD within 3 attempts. • If you find a sim and their doppelgänger in the same general area (ex. same room, same building, same festival/event, etc.), you must immediately go home and you cannot go to that world for the rest of the day. You cannot go there even if you're invited there. They can be in the same place, but they cannot be too close -- keep your distance • If you run into your own doppelgänger, it must be on sight every time -- you've gotta fight them; you cannot off them. You're too evenly matched to off them, but you've still gotta assert your dominance. If you lose a fight to them 3 times, it's game over

• If you lose a fight to your doppelgänger 3 times OR if your doppelgänger offs you • If you cannot complete all your objectives within two sim years (14 days a week, per season = 112 days; you can lengthen or shorten this [trust me, depending on how many dopples you have, one year isn't going to be enough, and the regular degular 7 day week is a bit hard because every day has to be productive; I had 15 when I tested this out]) • If you get attacked by a vampire • If you get into a fight with a werewolf and lose • If you lose a fight to any doppelgänger (excluding your own) 3 times • If your sim dies (obvi)

(So you wont screw up the same way I did unless you want to play extreme mode or something)

• Use your gallery as a "reference board" -- it takes a little extra work, but it'll help you remember what your real people look like and their "most prominent" features [or at least what you changed] (ex. Has braces, has a mole on the left side of their chin, light eyes, etc.). Take notes in the description box. • Raise your fitness skill -- this is crucial to tip the fight in your favor; don't let your excitement get in the way! You don't have to be the strongest, just stronger. Make sure you can take the doppelgänger you're trying to "report". Remember: you don't have to get rid of them as soon as you meet them; just don't leave the job unfinished! • Take advantage of your sims wants, aspiration goals, and holiday traditions -- It may be a little tedious/annoying in regular gameplay but for this challenge? It makes farming those aspiration points so much easier! You can get a TON of aspiration points for holidays! • Join a club -- Just because most people are put off by you, it doesn't mean EVERYONE is put off by you. Work on your charisma and reputation naturally. Remember: it's not always what you know but who you know. If they'll associate with you, maybe others will be willing to give you a chance, too. Not to mention, there's perks to being a popular clubs • Attend festivals and events -- Sims from everywhere attend these things, maybe the doppelgängers will show, too. Be careful though! It might be too much to see a sim and their doppelgänger in the same place. You'd have to go home to recover. • Save your game file -- It's a challenge for a reason. It's definitely possible to complete this challenge on the first go, but in the event that you aren't so lucky, and it takes you a couple of tries, save your "setup", and then make a separate save when you actually start the challenge. This will save you so much time when starting over; you won't have to go through the hassle of replacing households with your doppelgängers again.

That's it! Sound simple enough? Give it a try for yourself!

Jambon-beurre

Bonjour, tombler!

Still on our brunch series with Nanami, today we’re cooking the classic French and butter sandwich, also known as jambon-beurre. The dish we’re cooking today is actually divided into two cc recipes by @oni28: baguette cc recipe can be downloaded here, and jambon-beurre cc recipe can be downloaded here. The recipes need Oni’s Recipe Pack Mod which is updated regularly on their Patreon page.

The baguette made by this creator can be eaten as a meal or used as an ingredient for jambon-beurre. Even though The Sims 4™ logic makes ingredients appear automatically when you make a recipe, today Nanami decided to bake her baguette from scratch.

I love taking pan shots from Nanami’s kitchen. Some elements including the top counters are from @tudtuds’s BSCO Kitchen set which I think match very well with the base game counters (I think it’s base game? Definitely need to check again).

Everyone in the family seemed to be challenging the inner trad wife by making their bread from scratch, Nanami included. To begin, prepare all-purpose flour, water, yeast and salt. Mix the ingredients and let it sit for about 10 minutes, followed by 3 stretches and folds over a period of 90 minutes (honestly I’m already lost here, goodbye). After each iteration, pick up the dough ball and turn it upside down. Let the dough ferment in the fridge for another 8-10 hours.

One important thing in making your own baguette is the baking stone. A heavy duty baking stone won’t crack easily and will promote a better oven spring for the baguette. Preheat the oven to 500F or 260C with the baking stone positioned in the upper rack and a small pan with hot water and a rolled kitchen towel on the lower rack. The towel helps control steam release.

After scoring your baguette, slide them off with the parchment paper onto the hot baking stone. Using a water spray bottle, spray some in the sides of the oven to boost the steam. Bake for about 15 minutes, remove the water pan, and bake for another 15 minutes at 450F (232C) until deep golden brown.

If I were as successful as Nanami in baking baguette, I’d make that smug face too. Alas, 100% of what I wrote above is just a rewrite from the recipes I googled 🤦‍♀️

Now, onto the jambon-beurre. Jambon-beurre or parisien is the simplest combo of baguette topped by slightly salted French butter and spiced Parisian ham (also known as jambon de Paris). Yet, finding a great jambon-beurre is harder and harder to find. Pictured above, Nanami sliced each baguette in half length-wise.

Next, the butter and the ham. A good European butter makes the best choice, as it has a much higher fat content and less water compared to American butter. If you’re unable to find European butter, pick a salted butter or sprinkle a few salt crystal over the unsalted butter. For the ham, using jambon de Paris or any unsmoked, wet-cured ham with juicy texture. The last part – arguably also the easiest, is to combine everything together!

We’ve seen one of Nanami’s twins in the previous post, but here’s both of them eating jambon-beurre together: Sean in a blue overall and Kieran in a light purple shirt. Sean loves to be carried but Kieran hates it, and they look so alike that Nanami sometimes mistakenly carried Kieran only for him to throw tantrum. The joy of the terrible threes, doubled.

Briella Pantry Baking - #10 Grapefruit Cookies

Sul Sul, Gerbits! Today is a challenge to myself. I, Briella Flores-Ponder, still have a few fruits that I do not like. Berto went to the store and got a Grapefruit. I, along with the kids, kind of grimaced at this.

So, I asked everyone if they wanted me to make some grapefruit cookies. Because I want to be able to eat them. And let me tell you something these cookies are very VERY acidic. They are good, however, make sure that you use the Ruby Red Grapefruits and not the pink grapefruit.

If you are adventurous and want to try these cookies out, feel free to follow this recipe along with me.

The ingredients that you will need:

flour

baking soda

salt

sugar

grapefruits

butter

eggs

For the measurements, the recipe will be in the description below.

You are going to preheat your oven to 375 and line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.

Whisk together the dry ingredients, which include your flour, baking soda, and salt. Set the bowl aside.

Zest your grapefruits, and add it to your mixer bowl with the sugar. Using a mixer, a spoon, or your fingers work the zest into the sugar for a couple of minutes. The reason you want to do this is it releases the oils and it flavors the sugar.

Remove ½ cup of the grapefruit sugar and place it onto a small shallow dish. You will use this to coat the sugar cookie balls before baking.

Next, you are going to add the butter to the sugar and then cream it for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.

Juice ½ of the grapefruit. Put the juice into a small saucepan over high heat and reduce to 1 Tbsp of liquid. Remove from heat and swirl for a minute or two to bring closer to room temperature. Don’t be like me and overlook this step. This is probably why the cookies were so acidic.

Add the grapefruit reduction to the butter mixture and then mix.

Scrape the bowl and add the two eggs until it is well combined.

Add the dry ingredients and mix for 30-60 seconds on medium speed.

You are going to scoop the dough into balls and drop into the reserved grapefruit sugar, rolling and tapping off any excess sugar.

Place the cookies on the cookie sheet, and refrigerate the dough balls for 15 minutes.

The recipe says to bake for 10 minutes, however, as you all know I like baking my cookies at 8 minutes because you can always add minutes to your cookies, you can never subtract.

You are going to leave the cookie on the pan to cool for about 5 minutes.

Um… Gerbits, when you are looking at a recipe for the first time. Remember to always read the recipe. DON’T IGNORE ANY OF THE STEPS!. I feel like I should have looked at this recipe a lot closer. The results of these cookies were that some people liked them, and others didn’t.

So my advice is just to read the recipes. I hope you guys like this recipe. Make sure to like and subscribe for more recipes. Hopefully, the recipes in the future will be more of a success. But, you all have to understand that even if you have one fail or a recipe that you feel kinda failed, you are still learning. Even I, who is a level 10 baker, have recipes that aren’t always loved. So don’t be hard on yourself. You’re only a sim, after all, you can and will make mistakes. See you all next time, Vadish, Dag Dag!

For those who don’t know I am currently doing an FE challenge in The Sims 4 here are some highlights:

-Clanne just disappeared, like he’s in the family tree and randomly calls people but not playable below is an example

-Framme has died twice now, in the span of 15 minutes because her needs were glitched out.

-Hilda and Dimitri had a kid and I didn’t realize it until she was giving birth

-Ninian has had multiple sets of twins, I had zero control and now I really don’t want to play her household

-Cèline cannot stick to one man, she has dated Alcryst and Amber

-Ike will not stop eating the birthday cake I give to child sims causing us to have 4 cakes in the household at one time

-Sigurd has been taken by aliens once

-Hilda also killed a lady just because I thought it would be funny

I will play sims for a bit tonight but I it’s going to be either whimsy or joy of life challenge.

Also I will be going out of town for a week on January 4th so I will be playing the Christmas event a lot before I leave because I think it will be ending before I come back from my trip.

Update: my computer has to update so I will be on sims in a bit. The update is taking longer than I thought it would it is still at 14% but I will still play today.

It has been 15 minutes since my last update and it is officially done.

Today's (10/15/2024) Episode: Grinding to Victory

Fortunately, the start of school year was easy on Skye, as despite his parent’s high expectations neither of them could spare him much attention.

Noemi was kept busy pushing her team to finalize Watcher Tales in time for the New Years release, and Luigi was even busier.

Not only did he have his “day job” as an e-sports celebrity to worry about, but he was also working harder than anyone else to get his game to market.

Had Noemi known how much time her husband was spending on the computer in pursuit of his current professional goals she would have surely intervened, so he took great pains to make certain she didn't find out.

He encouraged his shy bride to manage their team (many of whom did not work out of headquarters) remotely by voice chat and email while he commuted to Rainy Days' corporate offices each day. Without her looking over his shoulder he could easily gloss over how many breaks he was taking.

Although Luigi knew resting his hand was important, getting his game to market on schedule was his top priority and everything moved along much more quickly with his uninterrupted, active involvement in the build. If a little more discomfort than usual was the price for that, it was a price he was willing to pay.

With the Del Sol E-Sports championship game right around the corner Luigi was pushing himself just as hard gaming as he was programming, hopping a teleport most evenings straight from downtown to the E-Sports complex in Newcrest for skirmish practice and games.

He was more skilled than most of his teammates by now in the finer points of Sim Scuffle strategy but felt woefully rusty when it came to putting that knowledge to practical use on the playing field after being forced to take so much time off following the lightning strike incident.

Placing at the upcoming tournament would finally earn him the title of Championship Gamer and catapult him to the top of the E-Sports career, and Luigi wanted that final promotion desperately. If he went down in history as a bonafide champion, it would quash the recent nasty rumors that he no longer had what it took to "hack it" at a professional level. He had to prove the naysayers wrong, no matter the cost.

The night of the tournament Luigi settled down at his PC and tried to ignore the burning ache that was his constant companion as of late "I just have to get through tonight" he told himself "Watcher Tales is in the final testing phase, at last, and if I place here, I'll earn my promotion. I can do this!"

A few hours later the announcer finally called out “… and that's it, folks! It’s my pleasure to announce your new E-Sports Championship Gamers… Beau Romano, Frank Harris, and Luigi Lawbourne!" He'd achieved the pinnacle of his professional career that night, but the smile on Luigi's face was closer to a grimace as he gripped his swollen mousing hand tightly under the table, clenching his teeth against the pain.

"Well, your highness, we did it!" Beau said, coming up behind his friend and slapping him on the back as they made their way to the podium to collect their award. "Of course, I still kicked your butt, but what's new?"

His jovial expression fell away when he saw the look on Luigi's face "Whoa, what's wrong? Is it your hand again?“ At Luigi’s reluctant nod, his concern deepened. "Did you tell doc so he can give you the once over?"

"No time.” Luigi shrugged “I’ll catch up with him tomorrow if I miss him tonight. It's not like he'll have anything new to tell me."

Rather than replying Beau darted away, much to the confusion of the sims waiting to hand the players their trophies.

Reappearing a minute later he whispered "They couldn't start the ceremony without the evenings #1 gamer, am I right? Doc is waiting for you over by the med station."

Luigi nodded, silently mouthing "thank you“ to his friend before queuing up behind him to collect his 3rd place prize.

RJ's Platinum Collection #26: Moving Out

I used to be a fan of a gaming channel called Funhaus. I thought they were hilarious. And one day I remembered a video they had made in which they played this game "Moving Out", which was a super quirky but fun cooperative sim. So I looked the game up and, to my surprise, was on PS Plus! So I decided to check it out, and ended up enjoying the game enough to get the Platinum.

Like you'd guess by the title, Moving Out sees you become the newest employee at a moving company and getting the job title of a F.A.R.T. (it's funnier if you try to guess what the hell that could mean). You can have up to 4 players all work together to move furniture out of a house as quickly as possible, no matter how much stuff you have to smash in the process. And it is SO FUN. Now, as I was playing by myself, I had zero shame in turning on Assist Mode, which makes the game a lot easier.

I decided to just play through the game and have fun, while also getting the Gold Medal on every single level. Unexpectedly, this game actually does have some kind of plot, and it's about alien rats trying to steal all the furniture the company is moving. There is a BOSS FIGHT. In a COOPERATIVE SIM GAME. It's awesome. And by the time I completed all the levels, I had earned 14 trophies.

1/27: Totally Certified - Complete Mandatory Training.

2/27: Golden Mover - Get a Gold Medal in one level.

3/27: An Eye For The Details - Complete all bonus objectives in one level.

4/27: The Bird - Shoot a basketball hoop.

5/27: Minute Mover - Beat a level in under a minute.

6/27: Moving On Up - Complete 10 story levels with Gold Medals.

7/27: You Don't Got Mail! - Smash the hidden letterbox with the truck.

8/27: The Friendly Ghosts - Complete all haunted levels without slapping any ghosts.

9/27: PHD In Moving - Complete 20 story levels with Gold Medals.

10/27: Massive Window Attack - Smash 100 windows.

11/27: Choo Choo - Complete "The Chase".

12/27: Who's The Boss? - Defeat the Rat King.

13/27: Masters In Moving - Complete all levels with Gold Medals.

14/27: Certified F.A.R.T. - Complete all Story levels.

Now it was time to start clean-up. First, I went through each level that had toilets or mailboxes and either sat on the toilets or slapped the mailboxes until I unlocked the associated trophy for each task.

15/27: Where We're Going We Don't Need Thrones - Sit on every toilet in the game.

16/27: Rain, Hail, or Shine - Slap every mailbox in the Story levels.

Then I started alternating between playing the Memory Levels, which are kind of like flashback tapes to moving jobs in the past that all have unique challenges, and I also got distracted by the DLC levels that take place on a tropical island. Between the Memory Levels and the DLC, I ended up getting trophies for throwing and delivering items, but I also accidentally got the trophy for achieving 100% - or, 111% - of the game. Turns out the DLC levels count towards that. Oops!

17/27: Go Long! - Throw 500 items.

18/27: Quantity Over Quality - Deliver 1337 items.

19/27: Remember The Time... - Complete all memory levels.

20/27: 111% Effort - Achieve 111% in the game.

After I finished the DLC, I went back to the main game to finish off the trophies. First, I played all the Arcade levels, which is where you need to parkour across some surprisingly complicated platforming levels while holding onto packages. Once I beat all of them, I got the trophy.

21/27: Winners Don't Move Rugs - Complete all Arcade levels.

Next up I quickly got the trophy for beating a level with less than 5 seconds on the clock. I just played the first level, and waited to put the final object into the truck until the clock was under 5 seconds. Easy peasy.

22/27: Nick Of Time - Beat a level in Story Mode with under 5 seconds left on the clock.

Next up came the part of the game that took the longest, which was completing all bonus objectives in every level. This was a big challenge, as some of the bonus objectives on some levels were mutually exclusive to each other - and also fucking hard. Some levels took me dozens of tries to accomplish. But eventually I was able to complete the task and get the trophy.

23/27: Objectives Complete! - Complete all level objectives in every level.

Next up I went to the level that was basically Frogger and just kept running into the street and getting hit by cars until I had gotten the trophy for getting run over by 125 of them.

24/27: Look Left, Then Right - Get run over by 125 cars.

Next up were two trophies that got on my nerves because I was certain I should have gotten them already. First there was a trophy for delivering every animal that appeared in the game. I was pretty damn sure I had moved all the animals, but for some reason I didn't get the trophy. I think something was wrong with how I delivered the frog in the aforementioned Frogger level. I just had to suck it up and replay all levels that had animals in them again - doing that popped the trophy.

25/27: Animal Lover - Deliver every pet.

The same issue was for the trophy where you had to find the hidden game console in each level and put it in the truck. I DEFINITELY found all of the consoles the first time I played, but for some reason the trophy didn't pop. I actually replayed all the levels again, once again making sure to get the consoles - and it STILL didn't unlock. I was super frustrated at this point and I ended up having to take a week off from the game. But eventually I decided to try what I did with Naruto 2, which was deleting my save data and replaying the game. That, luckily, worked, and I finally got the trophy and then the Platinum.

26/27: That's Not Landfill! - Deliver the hidden console in each Story level.

27/27: Master Mover - Unlock all of the trophies.

Despite the issues I had with some of these trophies, I thought this game was super fun! If you are playing by yourself, I definitely recommend turning Assist Mode on, because otherwise the heavy items are almost impossible for a single player to move.

Rating: 10/10
