Am I The Asshole For Having My Best Friend Break Up With My Boyfriend?

This happened months ago but it's been bugging me like crazy

I(14u) started dating my friend (15m) after my friends found out about my “crush” on him and set us up. After we found out we both mutually liked eachother he flatly stated "oh, so want to start dating?" and i agreed because this was only my second relationship and that had worked well for my first. I at the time identified as a lesbian but started calling myself bi due to my attraction to him. It was a big joke in the friend group that I had turned sides just for him.

Flash forward to summer I started quickly losing feelings at a rapid pace and realized this was just another comphet (this happens to me all the time especially since I only just recently figured out I have a purely sexual attraction to men). At this point I decided I had to break up with him as to not string him along. He doesn't have a phone due to having a strict mom on those fronts so I couldn't text him this. Even then I wouldn't have had because I broke up with my first partner over text and they still talk about how that hurt them.

So the plan was to tell them at our next meet-up, but that ended up getting canceled which lead to our next meetup being my friend's birthday party. This obviously wasn't going to work as I've had my parties ruined by people doing shit like that. So, I decided that I was going to plan a meetup after fathers day (the next day) but then my best friend, who knew about all this, had plans for fathers day with him.

My best friend(14m) offered to do it for me but I turned him down cause I thought that would be low. But at the party, my bf told me he was going to summer camp the day after fathers day. Now panicked that I was going to lead him on for longer I begged my best friend to do it on the fathers day meetup and he agreed. It worked out in the end because they ended up getting together and are still dating but I still feel like the asshole here. He since expressed he was bummed over summer camp due to the breakup but I still feel like it's better than letting him believe he is in love with someone mutually when he not (it's happened to me it's horrible). Am I the asshole?

Preview to 2024 14u Softball League

Hey guys!! I am so excited to announce that I will be playing with my team, Sunflowers 14u! We will be playing in the Studio Party Amazing Blast League. We start games next week and I will be keeping you all updated on our games! Please stay tuned for our Studio Party Amazing Blast League!!!

In the Studio Party Amazing Blast League there are 8 teams, including mine! The other teams are

I am most excited to play the Normalize Loving Beatboxing Ballers in this league because I’m pretty sure they can all beatbox. That will be so much fun to hear!

The positions I will be playing each game may vary, but that’s what makes a good athlete. Versatility. I really love the outfield, but first base in my passion. I love catching the ball and am excited to chat with the coaches from the other team. They’ll be standing right next to me! I already KNOW the Country Twangers coach is going to be so much fun. He’s been all over my TikTok page recently. 

I am most scared to bat, I’ve worked really hard at practice. I don’t know if I will be able to even see the ball when pitchers are throwing. The Studio Party Amazing Blast League has some really good pitchers, especially the Believers pitcher.
