man i finished the story ive been working on for a year yesterday and now ive got nothing to do like damn. it feels like too big of a milestone to just go into other stuff but i also cant just dump 140k words on my tumblr followers and publishing is definietly hopeless so like what do i do???

So, by sheer statistics I am 100% guaranteed to at least double the wordcount of the original draft. Hmm.

(Math: The next batch to be rewritten is the 5 chapters of arc 5, chapters 30-34. Chapter 29 ended at 122k words in the second draft. The final wordcount of the original draft was 280k. Just based on the general knowledge I have accumulated of how storyboards tend to translate over to actual words, there is No Way I am not hitting 140k within the next 5 chapters since it'd require "only" 20k-ish words. At the point where I have finished arc 5 at chapter 34 I will have 100 chapters left. At 50% the original wordcount.)

sometimes i read back my writing and i'm like "damn do i make them cry too much???" especially when i write men... but then i toss the scene around in my head a bit and i'm like "NO-- FUCK YOU. FUCK OFF." and beat the patriarchy and toxic masculinity creature in my brain to a pulp. the point is, i love boys who cry. i would die for boys who cry. and i will continue to write them as a result. there's absolutely nothing weak, emasculating, or pathetic about expressing emotion and i genuinely think that carries on out into other emotions as well. let your blorbos be upset and happy and smitten and full of laughter and bubbly and remember that even stoic characters deserve to show these emotions at times too. they're allowed to be vulnerable and it's honestly lazy writing to not have them show those emotions. give them a person, give them a safe place and a time, and let them breakdown or let loose a little. it's okay.

Onion’s Granblue Adventures

Daily finals report: 

Not really liking this GW, this is the most honors i’ve ever done on day 1 and I’m barely holding on top 80k.

Didn’t feel like thinking much so I just spent most of the day running Kengo

Lineup was pretty basic, just comfy ougi characters, press Fediel S3 at the start and FA... Wasn’t really optimized or anything but it got the job done.

The Grid was pretty funny and gives you an idea of what I’ve been up to. I’m probably using this for most of GW since I don’t have Eresh and Mars seems to go super easy on ougi spammers.
