Summary: Yodaka skillfully mixes a new drink for the protagonist. With one line from Daniel, they understand his true intention of bringing them to this bar...

Momiji: Wow… Just look at that elegant mixing skill… His handsomeness is only accentuated by the serious expression he wears while working… I can’t seem to take my eyes off of him…

Yodaka: And an orange slice to top it off– Thank you for waiting.

Momiji: Thank you!

Momiji: What a beautiful gradation from blue to orange… The lighting of the bar reflecting off the surface of the drink makes it look like it’s rippling with gold… It’s like I’m holding the ocean in my palm.

Yodaka: I made this mocktail with you in mind.

Momiji: Huh?

Yodaka: Like a ripe fruit that’s been beloved by the sun, your eyes shine, full of life. The serenity you exude with your entire being gently envelops those around you.

Yodaka: I’ve decided to name this mocktail as “The Ocean’s Golden Coins”. I hope this drink will enrich your spirit. Here you go.

Momiji: …!!

Momiji: I can feel my face heating up…

Momiji: Thank you for the drink… Oh! It’s delicious!

Daniel: Right? Yodaka’s skill is the real deal. Well, it’s good enough that it’s worth overlooking the fact he’s a natural-born seducer.

Daniel: Don’tcha think it’d be just fantastic if we could get to drink this every day over at HAMA House?

Momiji: …..

Momiji: I was wondering why he brought me to this bar but…

Momiji: I see, so that’s what you were after.

Daniel: Yep, glad you caught on.

Yodaka: What’s the matter?

Daniel: Go on, explain it to him. For the sake of our peaceful home-bar life.

Momiji: Your real motive is plain as day… Anyways, Yodaka-san, please take a look at this.

Yodaka: This is…

Yodaka: Hm, how unfortunate that this looks too corporate to be a love letter.

Momiji: A l-love letter…?

Yodaka: My apologies, a little lighthearted flirting goes a long way in my line of work, you see. Putting the jokes aside, this seems to be some sort of work proposal.

Momiji: Yes, that’s right. Allow me to explain.

Yodaka: … I see. From my understanding, HAMA Tours is offering “Package Tours” to ensure the survival of HAMA as a designated tourism region.

Yodaka: You’ve been recruiting to fill the positions of the 18 ward mayors, and have managed to find 14 so far.

Momiji: Yes, that’s right.

Yodaka: As for the final Night Team, you want to find members who can provide tourists with a more relaxed experience, with the conditions being that “They must own a store” and that “They must have roots in the local districts”.

Momiji: Yes, those are the terms that our Company President had come up with.

Yodaka: After you were unable to find Nagi at Flower Laundry, a person you already had friendly relations with, the two of you came here at Danny’s suggestion and decided I was the next best choice. I think I’ve grasped the situation.

Momiji: I’m sorry if this seems like it came out of the blue. On top of that, we might have given the impression that we chose you because we failed to obtain our first choice… But please know this–

Momiji: I was convinced the moment I tried your cocktail earlier.

Momiji: This bar, “Ten Nights of Dreams”, is the only place that could provide weary travelers with the best drinks that would heal both their body and soul.

Yodaka: …..

Momiji: Please take your time to look over the documents carefully and decide-

Daniel: Seriously, why do you always gotta be so uptight? Just listening to you droning on is making me all tense.

Daniel: Yo, Yodaka. This is the 17th ward, right. You wanna be this ward’s Mayor?

Yodaka: I wouldn’t mind doing it.

Momiji: Wha–

Yunyun: WHAAAAAAAT!?

Momiji: Y-Yunyun-san!?

Momiji: Somehow he’s more shocked than I am over how casually Yodaka gave the okay…

Yunyun: Just, hold on a sec! This is way too sudden… Nope! This isn’t happening!

Yodaka: What’s wrong? Did you want to be a Ward Mayor as well?

Yunyun: No- That’s not what I was…

Daniel: Weird. I thought you’d be the first one to push him out the door, wanting to spread your wings and all.

Momiji: So that’s how he sees Yunyun-san…

Yunyun: …… A lot of customers come in here hoping they get to talk with the Boss.

Yunyun: If he becomes a Ward Mayor, won’t he be too busy to work here anymore?

Momiji: Ah, you don’t have to worry on that front. We’re planning to have the Package Tour happen right within the stores, so your business would remain the priority.

Momiji: I will take responsibility and take care of the arrangements so that your work won’t be affected. Please rest assured on that end.

Yodaka: Did that manage to convince you?

Yunyun: …..

Yodaka: Danny and Nagi are both good friends of mine. I’m more than happy to take on this request.

Yodaka: …Ah, though we aren’t sure if Nagi will agree to it yet.

Momiji: Now that you mention it, you seem familiar with Nagi-kun. Are the two of you already acquainted?

Yodaka: Oh, I should have said this sooner– Those flowers over there were delivered by Nagi. He drops by once a week to change out the arrangement.

Momiji: I see! So that’s how it was…

Momiji: ……

Momiji: Erm, I lost the timing to react because it took me by surprise but, Yodaka-san agreed to be the 17th Ward Mayor just now, right…? Does that mean…

Momiji: We successfully recruited him!?

Daniel: Looks like it.

Yodaka: I’m Natsume Yodaka. Let’s get along well.

Momiji: Y-yes! Same here! Woohoo!

Daniel: You’re way too pumped up, your face is bright red right now. Welp, at least this means our job’s done for the day.

Momiji: I mean, I didn’t know we’d succeed so soon! I’m sorry for being so noisy!

Momiji: But I couldn’t help it, I really am happy… Thank you so much for agreeing to it!

Yunyun: …..

Yodaka: …..

Yodaka: Don’t worry, I won’t cause any trouble for you.

Yunyun: —Aw what? I wasn’t thinkin’ that at all!

Yunyun: Right, we gotta settle this with a bang! The treat’s on Hiroshi!

Daniel: The heck?

Yunyun: We got in some rare Japanese whisky recently… You’re a whisky guy, right? Why don’t you book a bottle?

Daniel: Hoo~ A 25-year-old whisky from Koku Province* huh! How much for it?

Yunyun: Aw don’t be so stingy now~ Just agree to buy the bottle ok? Pretty please~

Daniel: How am I supposed to when I don’t even know how much it is, huh?

Momiji: Putting aside Daniel-san getting baited, I’m glad we could cross one thing off our checklist. I think this is a good sign, hopefully the next one will be just as easy…

Yodaka: Those two seem to be having their own fun, so let’s talk, just the two of us.

Momiji: Sure, let’s!

Yodaka: Your straightforward honesty is adorable. Well then, what should we talk about?

Momiji: Um, well… Would you happen to know the places where Nagi-kun might frequent?

Momiji: I suppose it’d be a stretch if the two of you are only business friends…

Yodaka: How exciting, you’re just like a detective. And detectives always have a favorite bar to get their info from, don’t they?

Yodaka: Then I suppose I should provide you with some information, just like a classic bar owner.

Momiji: Does that mean you know where he is…?

Yodaka: Unfortunately, trying to find him would be much more difficult than trying to find a bird that’s lost its way. After all, we’re talking about the man who somehow found himself on the coasts of the Pacific Ocean while trying to get to the convenience store.

Momiji: The Pacific Ocean!?

Yodaka: It seems there is some mischievous God that loves to play pranks on him. I suppose that’s just the kind of star he was born under.

Momiji: Now that I think about it, the pet robot at his shop called him a magnet for trouble… And the last time I met him, he was pinned underneath his own bike…

Yodaka: But speaking of finding missing people, there’s a shop that specializes in taking requests such as these. What’s more, it’s situated in the 15th ward that has no Ward Mayor. Does this information interest you?

Momiji: Woah, please tell me everything you know about that!

Yodaka: My pleasure, Detective.

Yodaka: I heard this story from one of my regulars… Let’s call him Kinniku Morio-san*.

Yodaka: One midsummer night, Kinniku-san was on his way back home from a business trip, carrying a large briefcase in one hand.

Yodaka: As he walked down a quiet path, he came across a peculiar-looking manor. He couldn’t help but draw close, scouring his memories as he tried to remember if such a building had existed here in the first place– And that was when he sensed a presence, shrouded within the shadow cast by the manor.

Yodaka: He approached, quietly, carefully… And then he finally laid his eyes on “it”.

Yodaka: When it noticed the presence of an intruder, it turned around, capturing Kinniku-san’s form within the gaze of its “only eye”. And just as suddenly, it turned its back on him and fled into the dead of the night.

Yodaka: That place is known as–

Yodaka: Angel’s Eye.

Yodaka: Did you know? Amongst the angels, there is one that has only a single eye.

Yodaka: Perhaps, what he saw was an angel.

Location: Fortune Teller’s Parlor “Angel’s Eye”

Momiji: -And that’s why we’re here, at the “Angel’s Eye”. I didn’t know this before but, apparently this fortune-teller is pretty famous amongst the spiritual community. Kinniku-san is also one of their regulars now…

Daniel: That so… It’s pretty big for a fortune-telling place, I’ll give them that. Still shady as hell though.

Momiji: Really? I don’t think it looks suspicious…

Momiji: Let’s see…The entrance is over there.

Momiji: We ended up losing daylight because we got lost on the way here. It’s late now, but I wonder if the parlor is still open…

Men in White Robes: Over here! We’ve found them!

Men in White Robes: Surround them! Don’t let them get away!

Daniel: —…..

Momiji: What’s going on…!?

Notes:

The only hint I got for “Koku Province” is that it’s a region from a Japanese light novel “Saiunkoku Monogatari” set in fictional ancient China.

Kinniku Morio seems to be a play on the name Kintaro as the kanji used mean “gold” and “meat” but put together they pronounce “kinniku” which means “muscles”, terms that are used to describe Kintaro. I thought it was interesting to note as Yodaka seems fond of history and historical figures like he mentioned in his Tanabata voiceline.

Highlights from Appetite for Distortion Podcast with Brendon Small

The tour, movie, and album being released around the same time was a deliberate decision. When Brendon started getting this project together around three years ago, he knew he's be putting together a record, a soundtrack, a movie, and a tour all within the same week.

How Brendon approaches writing the Dethalbum IV and creating Army of the Doomstar:

It's not him working. It's Dethklok literally telling him what to do. He's just a jerk with a guitar doing what Skwisgaar tells him to do. For vocals, he's doing what Nathan's telling him to do. When he's voicing them in the movie, those characters are taking over. He'll do the dialogue but they'll surprise him with improve.

Since Brendon's the scriptwriter and director, he's like an Angry God. He'll be like throwing them into ceiling fans or into a fire to see how they get out.

About Guns n'Roses and Snakes n'Barrels.

Slash has been on the show. Twice. (Birthdayface and Tributeklok) He's one of Brendon's favorite guitar players of all time.

Learning about heavy metal happens at an important age. For Brendon, he was around 13/14. He bought two distinct albums. Def Leppard's Hysteria and Guns N'Roses Appetite for Destruction. He was blown away to the astral plane of the music and aggressive guitar playing. It's still one of his favorite albums to this day. He'll take long walks listening to album front to back, top to bottom.

He thought that Pickles was like Dave Grohl. Like in a band like Guns n'Roses and Aerosmith like rock band before he was in Dethklok. There would be songs where Brendon used a top box to play.

One day, Slash was working on an animation at the same company Brendon worked at. There was a package that came with pedals from MXR Dunlop. Slash was there when that box came and they opened the box together and went through all these pedals. Slash looked at the pedals and pointed to Brendon which was one cool, which one he has and uses. Brendon even shows Slash's wall pedal that he also used on the record.

Now some fan questions.

Will Brendon ever release a studio version of Water Horsey Blues from Snakes n'Barrels I?

Brendon was surprised to hear the question. He's glad that people still listen to it all these years later. He wishes he had the time and resources to make music for these kinds of bands in the Metalocalypse universe. Like a Snakes n'Barrels record, a Dr. Rockzo record, even Toki's whimsical dream songs. But there's no plan as of yet.

Will Brendon ever plan on releasing the songs from Metalocalypse that didn't make it to the Dethklok albums. (please Brendon I'm on my knees.) Same answer. :,) He has no plan as of yet.

About the movie under the cut. Not spoiler heavy and mainly about the music.

Brendon does have a lot on his plate at the moment. He's got not one but two albums: Dethalbum IV and Army of the Doomstar Soundtrack.

To Brendon, the soundtrack album is really such an important storytelling part of the movie. As you watch the movie you'll hear the orchestra and synthesizer. (He got the Budapest Orchestra to play this score).

The movie, the narrative, the characters is one thing.

The Dethalbum IV, that's the brutality and the mystical.

Army of the Doomstar Soundtrack, the score, is the emotional center of the movie.

All three go together. If you plan on getting one, Brendon thinks you should get them all (the movie, ost, and album). They all do something completely different but they all come from the same central DNA.

Brendon is thankful to be able to complete the story. He's basically living the dream as the interviewer puts it.

Brendon's last words: It's fun to be creative on your own and make music for yourself to listen to. But the fact that this [Metalocalypse and Dethklok] came together in the way that it did, is because there's a fanbase out there. Without them, none of this would have happened. Thanks [for] everyone for being so vocal over the years and I'm excited for you to check it out.

Momiji / Kaede: (Wow… what refined mixing skills. He has a serious expression on his face which brings out his good looks… I can’t take my eyes off him.)

Yodaka: And a slice of orange to finish – Thank you for waiting.

Momiji / Kaede: Thank you!

The blue and orange gradient is very pretty. The bar’s lights reflect off of it, leaving golden sparkles – it looks just like the ocean.

Yodaka: I made this juice cocktail with you in mind.

Momiji / Kaede: Huh?

Yodaka: Your eyes are full of energy, just like fruit loved by the sun – a calm feeling emits from your entire body and envelopes everything.

I shall call this juice cocktail “The Ocean’s Gold Coin”. I hope it’ll enrich and moisten your insides. Here you are.

Momiji / Kaede: ……!

(I couldn’t help but go red…)

Thank you… Oh… it’s delicious…!

Daniel: Right? Yodaka’s the real thing. Well, just turn a blind eye to his natural seduction.

Don’tcha think it would be amazing if we could drink this every day at HAMA House?

Momiji / Kaede: ……

(I didn’t understand why he brought me specifically to this bar but…)

So that’s the reason.

Daniel: That’s the reason.

Yodaka: That’s what?

Daniel: Alright, explain it to him. For the sake of our rich home-bar life.

Momiji / Kaede: We don’t need your impure motives. …Yodaka-san, please take a look at this.

Yodaka: What’s this…?

What a shame. That’s one hefty file for a love letter.

Momiji / Kaede: A–A love letter…

Yodaka: Sorry. I tend to have an occupational disease that causes me to be loose-lipped. Putting the jokes aside… This looks like some sort of proposal.

Momiji / Kaede: Yes. Please allow me to give you a proper explanation.

Yodaka: …I understand now. In other words, the Hama Tours company is coming up with package tours in order to maintain special tourist wards within Hama.

You’re searching for 18 ward mayors to be in charge of those wards. And you’ve already found 14.

Momiji / Kaede: Yes, that’s correct.

Yodaka: You decided that people who are skilled in providing relaxed hospitality to travellers would be desirable for the Night Group, and have created conditions that they must “own a store” and “have roots in the region”.

Momiji / Kaede: Yes. Those are the conditions the president has come up with.

Yodaka: You decided to pay Flower Laundry a visit, a store you have friendly relations with, but ended up unable to meet Nagi. Then, you chose to select me, who works at the bar Danny frequents. I see.

Momiji / Kaede: I’m sure you’re taken aback by the sudden proposal. I’m also fully aware it’s rude that it seems like we brought the proposal to you as an extra thing following Flower Laundry. But…

I was certain the moment I tasted the cocktail earlier.

The Ten Nights’ Dream bar is the perfect place to provide alcohol and the type of hospitality that will heal the souls drawn by travelling as well as the physical body.

Yodaka: ……

Momiji / Kaede: If you would please read through the documents and take your time to give us an answe–

Daniel: How stiff can you get? My shoulder’s stiffening just by listening to ya.

Yo, Yodaka – this is ward no. 17. You wanna be the mayor of this ward?

Yodaka: I don’t mind.

Momiji / Kaede: Wha–

Yun Yun: WHAAAAAAT!?

Momiji / Kaede: Y–Yun Yun-san…!?

(It looks like he’s even more shocked to see that Yodaka-san had just casually agreed to it.)

Yun Yun: No, wait. You can’t just suddenly ask him to do that… You just can’t!

Yodaka: What’s wrong? Did you want to do it with me?

Yun Yun: No, that’s not the point…

Daniel: That’s surprising. You’re the one who said you could spread your wings when the owner’s not around – I thought you’d be sending him off with a party.

Momiji / Kaede: (That’s the sort of vibes Yun Yun-san gives off, huh…)

Yun Yun: …There are a lotta people who come to this bar to chat with you.

You’ll get so busy working as the ward mayor you probably won’t have time to tend to the bar, right?

Momiji / Kaede: Oh, it’s our goal to have him provide hospitality to the guests here at the bar, so his work as the bar’s owner will take precedence.

I’ll take responsibility in ensuring he doesn’t take on too much work. Please rest assured.

Yodaka: You hear that?

Yun Yun: ……

Yodaka: Both Danny and Nagi are my close friends. I’ll be happy to take on their request.

…Oh, we still don’t know if Nagi will agree to being a ward mayor, though.

Momiji / Kaede: Come to think of it, you spoke of him like you two share a close relationship. You know him from way back?

Yodaka: I didn’t explain. He visits the bar once a week to deliver the flowers in that vase over there.

Momiji / Kaede: I see!

(Um, I didn’t get the time to react but… Yodaka-san, he said yes to being a ward mayor, right…? Which means…)

He signed the contract…!?

Daniel: That’s what it means.

Yodaka: I’m Yodaka Natsume. It’s nice to formally meet you.

Momiji / Kaede: L–Likewise! Hooray!

Daniel: You’re way too excited. Your entire face is red. …Well, I guess our work for today is over.

Momiji / Kaede: I didn’t think you’d agree so quickly…! I’m sorry for making a fuss!

But I’m really happy. Thank you so much!

Yun Yun: ……

Yodaka: ……

It’s okay. I won’t cause any trouble for you.

Yun Yun: …Geez, that’s not what I’m worried about. What’re you saying?

I know, let’s celebrate today! All drinks will be on Hiroshi!

Daniel: Say what?

Yun Yun: We’ve got some rare Japanese whiskey that came in the other day. You prefer whiskey, right? So how about it? Should I set the bottle aside for you?

Daniel: Ohh~ That one’s aged 25 years from Kurosu! How much is it gonna be?

Yun Yun: Don’t be like that~ Come on, just buy out the whole bottle~

Daniel: You’re telling me to buy it out without giving me the price?

Momiji / Kaede: (Putting Daniel-san going off topic aside, that’s one ward mayor confirmed for now… Maybe this is a good sign. If only we could get the next ward mayor to say yes this quickly too…)

Yodaka: It seems those two are having a good time by themselves, so why don’t we do the same with some chatting?

Momiji / Kaede: Sure, what would you like to talk about?

Yodaka: You’re honest – how cute. Alright, what sorts of topics do you prefer?

Momiji / Kaede: Umm, then… would you happen to know where Nagi might frequent? Like, you’ve seen him here or there.

You’ve only seen him when he’s delivering flowers here so it might be a long shot but… I figured I might ask just in case.

Yodaka: Oh, that’s nice. You sound like a detective. And a detective always has a specific bar they visit for information.

Then, I suppose I’ll provide you with some information like a real bar owner would.

Momiji / Kaede: So you might have some ideas…?

Yodaka: Unfortunately, knowing his current location would be more difficult than trying to find a lost bird. After all, he’s the man who crossed the pacific ocean just to get to the convenience store.

Momiji / Kaede: T–The pacific ocean!?

Yodaka: It seems he’s favoured by a mischievous god. Maybe he was born that way.

Momiji / Kaede: (C–Come to think of it, the store’s pet robot also mentioned that he’s a “trouble magnet”... He was also stuck underneath his motorbike the last time I met him…)

Yodaka: By the way, I know the perfect place for people who are searching for someone. Thanks to some twist of fate, it’s also located in ward no. 15, which doesn’t have a ward mayor at the moment. Would I be of help if I told you about that place?

Momiji / Kaede: Oh… Please give me the details!

Yodaka: Of course, if that’s what you wish, Detective.

The customer that frequents that place… Well, let’s call him Morio Kinniku… this is a story I heard from him.

At the dead of night one evening, Mr. Kinniku was on his way from work, rushing home with a bag in one hand.

As he approaches the quiet street, a rather odd manor comes into view. He walks closer to it, wondering how there could be such a manor here, but just as he does, he senses there is something hiding in the shadows of the building.

Timidly, he takes a look and that’s when he sees “it”.

It turns around, aware that it’s been noticed. The “One-Eye” notices Mr. Kinniku… Lightly turns around and disappears into the night.

The name of that manor is…

“Angel Eye”.

Did you know that, apparently, there is something that bears a single eye inside of an angel?

Maybe that’s what he saw.

Momiji / Kaede: So, this is Angel Eye. I didn’t know but it’s apparently a pretty well-known manor in the fortune-telling industry. Even Mr. Kinniku is a regular here…

Daniel: Hmm… It’s a big building but also seems pretty old.

Momiji / Kaede: You think so? I disagree, though.

(Um, the entrance is… over here.)

(We got lost on the way and it’s now evening, though. They’re still open, right?)

Man in white: Over here, I’ve spotted them!

Surround them! Don’t let them get away!

Daniel: ……

Momiji / Kaede: Huh…!?

1. Who is your favourite character in 2?

Oh no not this😅 Don't wanna start off totally indecisive but In all honesty Aziraphale and Crowley are such a package deal I've never been able to decide who I liked more so both it is!

2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?

Probably Frank Morgan since he's meant to give everyone the creeps and totally untrustworthy but if we're talking main cast then Ray because everyone else is just too good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3. What's your favourite episode of 4?

Episode two THE beloved my one and only 🥺💖 12/10 would gladly watch Owen and Tom sit around chatting and mirroring the cafeteria vibes either as Lokius or themselves for the rest of my days

4. What is your favourite season of 5?

Gotta be S2!! All the earlier seasons are gold so was very tempted by the latter half of S3 but S2's like a tour de force

5. What's your favourite relationship in 3?

Baxter and Quinn would an obvious one since John and Phil are married in every role and this is no exception but the dynamic between Baxter and Rick is so weirdly fascinating?? They just clash so instantly, usually to great disaster but will never stop themselves or learn from their mistakes, absolutely obsessed tbh

6. Who is your anti relationship in 2?

Oh man as much as I adore Psych I'm stuck between Life on Mars and Good Omens on this one... Oh this is the worst, okay, I'm going... Life on Mars! When taking the point of how much I love both main pairs out of the picture there are more elements of and characters in LoM I think I enjoy more

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?

I've watched both fully through multiple times but Life on Mars just edges by with having more episodes so that'll be the one!

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?

Loki or Ravonna just for sheer proximity of how much time would be spent around Mobius lmao, literally my only primary consideration

13. How would you kill off your favourite character in 5?

Laughing so hard at this because ironically my favorite character in Psych has pondered many scenarios potentially resulting in his own death lmao. If necessary he'd probably prefer a blaze of glory gunfight but I don't think he'd mind being taken out by his favorite land mine going off?? "Sweet music. And then…nothin' but red mist." 😂

14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?

Not necessarily unless you mean would it work in terms of turning me on in ways I've yet to experience in this life because yes, yes, and YES 😳😳

15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.

Idk if it would be the most unlikely but Sam and Chris would've been cute and I always enjoyed how earnestly Chris ended up admiring Sam's approach to the work and who he is as a person

16. Overall, which show has the better cast, 3 or 5?

I mean Mad Dogs is my favorite show of all time in part because of how talented the cast is in balancing their roles and I can't see that changing plus I'd follow those guys anywhere

ATLANTA VERSUS TOUR DATE

The day had finally come: Lily and Alex were meeting the Sturniolo Triplets. Although it hadn't been long since they both started watching their videos together, they had been happily expecting this day for the past few weeks and in only a few hours, they would see them. Their flight would take less than two hours which meant that the girls would arrive on time to start queuing. Given that they were going to attend the Meet & Greet with the triplets before the show, they were supposed to arrive around noon which was perfect for them: their plane was landing at ten o'clock, it would take them an hour to go to their hotel from the airport and the venue was easy to go to by walking.

Although they had woken up at half past five, the two girls couldn't feel tired as the excitement was filling their brains. They were currently packing their clothes while dancing to songs from their collaborative playlist that was playing upstairs.

"Alex," Lily called from her room. "Which team colour are you gonna wear?"

"I mean, as a Chris girl I should wear orange but in case I feel a last minute decision, I packed all three colours".

"That's actually smart, thanks. I'm gonna do the same". Lily replied as she added an orange tank top and a purple sweater to the blue shirt that was already in her suitcase.

Luckily for the girls, they were only leaving for a couple of days which meant that they didn't have too much luggage with them, except for the "just in case" clothes that were mandatory for every trip – what if one of the girls suddenly was on her period or peed on herself everyday? As they finished packing, they didn't have anything else to do and decided to directly head to the airport so they could take their time through security and maybe have a small breakfast.

Atlanta, here they were. The sun was out and the excitement was high as Lily and Alex were leaving the airport to look for a taxi that would take them to their hotel where they would get ready for the show.

Once they arrived at the hotel, the girls checked in and went to their shared room to change.

As Lily was scrolling through Instagram, she stumbled upon Nick's Instagram story and let out a gasp. Alex peeked her head through the bathroom door and asked what was happening.

"I hadn't seen Nick's story," Lily started while rummaging through her suitcase. "He said to pull up to the Atlanta show in purple so now I wanna wear purple for him!"

As she found the purple sweater that she had packed earlier this morning, a smile grew on Lily’s face. This was truly one of her favourite articles of clothing and she wasn't regretting at all to have brought it with her. To confirm her loyalty to Nick’s team, Lily even asked Alex to try and draw some bats with her purple eyeliner.

Alex had decided on her favourite triplet’s team: Chris’s. She put on an orange crop top with a black heart on it and hoped to draw his attention with a deer themed headband she had found at the airport. To not exclude Matt by not having his colour on, Lily and Alex chose to wear blue jeans in order to express their support for him as well.

When they deemed themselves ready, the two Sturniolo Triplets fans left their hotel room and started getting to the venue which was luckily close by walking. When they arrived, they noticed that not many people were here until they realised that they were actually looking at the VIP queue and not the regular one. Indeed, the people who only had general admission tickets wished to come early to still get the best view possible even though they would be at the back of the venue.

Lily and Alex smiled at a few girls they passed and joined the end of the vip queue where they belonged, thanks to Alex’s brother who had managed to secure “Diamond Package” tickets. This meant that the two girls were going to meet the triplets before the show, get to “small talk” with them, take a group picture and finally see them again after the show in the backstages. They were forever thankful for this experience and knew to find the best birthday present for Alex’s brother when it would be his time to get older.

People were finally getting into the venue as it was time for the small talks to begin. Alex and Lily didn’t care to have been amongst the last ones to have arrived – only a handful of fans were behind them – as they were not in a rush to meet the triplets. It would still happen nonetheless so they simply used their waiting time to relax and be the least nervous possible. Although usually very emotional, Lily and Alex were surprised with the way they were handling the situation when they entered the venue and could see the triplets from afar. Turns out that their mind was just not accepting that it was real which therefore tricked their brain into thinking that it was a normal hangout with absolutely not famous people they admired.

When it was the girls’ turn to go meet the triplets, Lily let Alex go first just to see the excited smile on her face as her best friend walked up to Chris. The youngest triplet welcomed Alex with a hug and asked how she was doing. Lily exchanged a quick glance with Alex and watched them talk before the two took pictures together and it was time for Lily to take Alex’s place who then walked to Chris.

“Hi, how are you?” Chris asked as Lily came up to him.

“Heyy, I am feeling great! How is your day?” Lily replied as Chris pulled her into a hug.

“Great as well, your friend was funny,” Chris laughed. “She was close to freaking out but saw you being all smiley at her and immediately calmed down.”

“She’s so cute,” Lily said as she quickly looked at Alex who was talking to Matt. “Girl is meeting her fave and she’s caring about me.”

“Glad to know I'm at least one of yours’ favourite”, Chris joked as he had noticed Alex's orange outfit and complimented her on it

During their quick chat, Chris signed a photocard before taking pictures with Lily. She thanked him before saying goodbye and moving to Matt’s table.

“Hey,” Lily said with a sudden soft voice as she was kind of intimidated by Matt.

“Hi there, how are you?” Matt asked with a soothing voice to make her comfortable, which worked.

“It feels surreal to meet you guys but such a great experience so far, are you good as well?”

“Yeah I am too.”

Lily didn't know why she ever thought Matt would be the hardest to talk to as he was actually the kindest human being. She thought about how calm he was and was impressed with the way he was able to do all of those shows despite his anxiety.

“Sorry my friend and I are not fully clothed in blue but we wore blue jeans to show appreciation and support for the sharks!” Lily explained as she put her hand on Matt's shoulder.

As Matt quickly looked at it, Lily thought she had done something wrong and removed her hand when Matt had only been surprised by how outgoing the girl was. It was refreshing to see someone close to his age – he assumed – that was acting like she was friends with all of them.

“You're good, don't worry.” Matt reassured Lily with a genuine smile. “Pictures?”

Lily nodded and Matt thus took their pictures after signing the photocard like Chris had done. They then said goodbye and it was now time for Lily to meet the last triplet as Alex went on the side to wait for her.

“Helloo! How are you doing?” Nick joyfully asked.

“Hi, I’m awesome! How are you?” Lily was reciprocating the same energy which Nick looked happy about.

“Great as well.” Nick pulled Lily into a hug before double checking her makeup. “I. Absolutely. Love. The. Bats.”

“Thank you! My best friend, whom you just met, drew them for me. I had to show everyone who I’m rooting for. And I love you guys’ outfits by the way, I didn’t tell the others but you’re all showing your colours today.”

Nick thanked her for noticing and complimented her again on her makeup while he signed the photocards. Nick then offered to take pictures to which Lily agreed.

“We both do photography but I trust you so much more to take a decent selfie.”

“No problem, don’t worry I got you,” Nick replied with a smile as he took multiple selfies and 0.5x pictures of him and Lily.

“Thank you so much. I’ll see you later, bye!” Lily waved at Nick before joining Alex who was waiting for her a few metres away.

The two girls directly hugged and fangirled about how nice the triplets were, as well as how easy it had been to talk to them – despite the stress felt from the security hurrying them to move.

“Girl, I managed to record you and Nick!” Alex excitedly said. “So cute, you guys seemed to vibe a lot.”

“Yeah, he is such a mood. Love that guy so much.”

They kept talking about their first VIP experience as they moved towards the line that would allow them to take group pictures with the triplets when the small talks were over.

While waiting, Lily and Alex got to meet another pair of best friends a bit younger which led them to immediately wanting to adopt the two middle schoolers. The line was starting to move when the four girls were exchanging about their favourite videos. They didn't see the time passing by as it was almost time for the two duos to have their picture taken.

“Which pose do we wanna do?” Lily asked Alex.

Because the girls had two tickets allowing them to take pictures, they had decided to both be in each instead of having their own solo picture with the triplets after asking if it was possible.

“Hmm, we can do one with hearts and then let them do whatever they want for the second?” Alex suggested an idea which Lily agreed on.

For the second time today, Lily and Alex hugged the Sturniolo triplets. Lily took this opportunity to give them the friendship bracelets she had made a few days prior as she wasn't sure whether she could have given them during the small talk – she had seen that most people gave their gifts during the group picture time and preferred to do the same. As they thanked her, the brothers asked how the girls wanted to pose. Given the colours that they were wearing, it felt obvious that Chris would be on Alex's side while Nick would be on Lily’s and they asked Matt to be in the middle. They all did hearts with their hands and Alex then told Nick, Matt and Chris to choose for the other picture. They all simply decided to smile and Lily held up a peace sign as her signature move which made Alex smile at how her friend could never take multiple pictures without making a peace sign in at least one of them.

The girls then thanked the triplets and they all told each other to enjoy the show. They left the photography area and were guided to the pit so that they could wait until the show started.

Dads. People's dads were currently on stage with Nick, Matt and Chris. It felt hilarious in the moment as no one had been expecting the triplets to switch up who they were bringing with them on stage. It had only been young fans until that point and seeing three grown adults enjoying the games was wonderful in Lily’s eyes. The girls had a pretty good view due to their VIP tickets and Lily could see Alex’s smile stretching to her eyes, which made Lily even happier to be able to share this moment with her.

Although Matt had won the popular vote and the painting game thanks to his teammate Mark, Chris took the lead during the Trivia game and was ready to win his nth basketball game. Then, as it was time for the last game of the show – Jenga, Chris was on the verge of victory and it got confirmed when Matt, once again, knocked down the tower. As the show was over, there was a round of applause for the triplets’ teammates and the coronation of the winner started. Each team received a medal and took pictures before Chris eventually got crowned for the fifth time since the tour had begun.

As Nick was concluding today’s show, Matt threw his shoes into the crowd which made all the fans cheer. Finally, Chris asked for everyone to call out Tril’s name. Tril – also known as YSB Tril or Trilly – was the triplet’s friend and a singer who had been invited to do a small concert at the end of some of the shows as he was living on the East coast. While Alex knew a couple of his songs, Lily had no idea that he was going to be here today but the two girls enjoyed it as the atmosphere was incredible.

Both the show and concert were over, but it wasn’t time for Alex and Lily to go back to their hotel room as they had backstage access and were currently being guided there where they would see the triplets for the third time today.

“That shit feels kinda sketchy for real”, Alex started. “But after everything we’ve experienced today I don’t care like– we could be kidnapped or murdered, I can die happy.”

“Damn bro, I wish I could say the same but we only lived twenty years so I hope we get a bit more”, Lily objected while laughing.

They were now waiting in line to go talk to the triplets and realised that they were the last ones, which made them hope that they could maybe get more time as no one would be waiting behind them. When there were only a handful of fans left in the room, Lily and Alex were called to start a conversation with any of the brothers. While Alex directly went to Chris to congratulate him on his victory, Lily decided to go see Nick as she saw that Matt was still talking to two girls.

“Nick heyy! How’s it going since earlier?”

“Bats girl hi! Awesome and you?” Nick was absolutely digging Lily’s energy.

“Quite sad purple team didn’t win but I got to meet you guys so that’s enough for me. And I got your merch so I’ll remember this forever!” Lily unfolded the purple shirt to show it to Nick.

“Great choice, I obviously approve,” Nick nodded as he took the shirt to sign it. “Are you still in need of a photographer?”

“Oh my god yes, a hundred percent still trusting your skills.” Lily laughed as she gave her phone to Nick so that he could take pictures.

“Thank you so much,” Lily said as she got her phone back and hugged Nick. “I hope you enjoy the last shows and that you win at least one more time!”

“Let’s hope so yeah, byye!”

The two new best friends waved at each other as Lily went to take Alex’s place with Chris while the blonde walked towards Matt.

“Hi again!”

“Hey, have you realised now that you should have chosen the same team as your friend?” Chris teased as he pointed to his crown.

“Hmm,” Lily feigned to think. “Maybe but I have faith in Nick, he gotta come back.”

“Fair enough but I won’t give up easily.”

Lily felt really happy that Nick and Chris were able to remember fans they had met earlier and that they were still as outgoing as they were before the show even though they must feel really tired. As Nick did, Chris took pictures of him and Lily before she thanked him.

“If you win tour, I’ll name a dessert for you at my café”. Lily said as she extended her hand to Chris.

“Bet”, the youngest triplet agreed as he dapped Lily up and hugged her quickly. “Gotta taste like orange, remember?”

Lily nodded and laughed as she bidded Chris goodbye before going to where Matt was standing.

“Hi Matt!”

“Hey, everything good?”

“Yeah, how about you? Still the most popular I saw?”

“Always, I guess it’s easier for people to dress in blue.” Matt reasoned as most people did own more blue – it being a primary colour – compared to purple or orange.

“I promise next time I’ll come in a full blue outfit!”

“You’re coming to see us again? Which show?” Matt asked as he felt comfortable talking to the girl.

“Well… I don’t know yet but I’ll try to get tickets for at least another show because I need to enjoy another one with my friend!”

It was true, Lily now wanted to find tickets for one of the Florida shows she had failed two months ago with her friends. She was thinking that the dates being so close now meant that she might have more chance at getting resale tickets, which always happened right before concerts for instance.

“Good luck then, and I hope to actually see you supporting me if you guys do come back. Also, don’t hesitate to bring other gifts.” Matt playfully said.

“Oh yeah, did you see the one we brought?”

“Yes and it looks incredible to be honest, can’t wait to get it from the box when we leave”.

Matt was being a hundred percent genuine as he thought of the picture he had seen on Alex’s phone. She had made a painting depicting the triplets as Pokemon trainers, each with a pokemon of their team colour next to them. Matt had a Piplup, Nick had a Sableye and Chris had a Buizel at his side. Lily was amazed with Alex’s talent and had always found her artstyle breathtaking, whether she was painting abstract things, landscapes or people.

“I hope the others like it as well, she was so happy to paint this for you!” Lily was Alex’s first fan since the blonde became interested in art towards the end of middle school.

“Well it was nice to see you again”, Matt started saying goodbye as he was going to take Lily’s last pictures of the day. After he did so, he and Lily hugged for the third time today. “Get home safe and have a good night.”

“Thanks, you too Matt.”

As Lily and Alex had indeed been the last fans in the backstage area, the three brothers guided them back to the exit before saying a definite goodbye and thanking them for coming.

“Wow,” Alex started as she and Lily were outside the venue. “I don’t know how to describe today.”

“Magical, unreal, amazing?” Lily rhetorically asked. “I’ll never forget that day.”

Alex agreed and the girls began to walk back to their hotel. When they arrived in their room, they ordered food and Alex went to shower while Lily immediately grabbed her computer. The brunette had grabbed her camera so that her friend would think she was going to look at the pictures she had taken today, but Lily actually wanted to look for resale tickets so that they could go to another show.

After twenty minutes, Lily had managed to find someone who had been reposted on Instagram by sturnioloteam and was wanting to sell two Silver tickets for the Orlando show as she couldn’t go anymore. Lily had just sent a message to the person and closed her computer as Alex was done showering, meaning that Lily could go while waiting to get a reply.

When she got out of the bathroom, Lily was surprised at how quick she had received an answer and was delighted to see that it was positive. The girl, although living in Orlando, was not able to go see the Triplets as she got sick with her sister who was supposed to go with her. She was selling the tickets for almost half of the original price as she just wanted someone to enjoy the show instead. Lily immediately replied that she was buying the tickets and the two girls agreed on the sale.

It was happening: Lily and Alex would go see the triplets for a second time in Orlando. However, only one of them would be aware as Lily decided that she was going to surprise her best friend with a secret road trip in three days – it was enough time to prepare everything. In the meantime, Lily would obviously still try to find tickets for maybe one of the two other shows in Florida as they wouldn’t be that far from home in any case – at least they were in their state.

“By the way, please send me your pics from today when you’re done editing them.” Alex interrupted Lily’s daydreaming. “I know your cam is a thousand times better than my phone.”

“Of course babe, we can look through them together so that I can edit your favourites in priority.”

This was thus how they spent their evening: admiring Lily’s pictures of the show and eating the most delicious fries they ever had. Now, only a few more days remained before the girls would live almost the same day once again and this time, a pleasant twist would be added to the Versus Tour experience.
