Reading more about inrush current control techniques now, all I knew before this was that you use Negative Temperature Coefficient parts to control it without affecting overall efficiency too much.
I've never had to design a board that drew much power, or didn't just use an off the shelf power supply. Power supply design is black magic so even major companies usually just buy certified open frame units to avoid redoing a ton of regulatory work, it's what's best for everyone. All the appliances at First Job just had a 24V Great Wall open frame units jammed in there, plus consumer 12V supplies for the network gear.
You can do some clever things involving having the NTC take itself out of the loop with a relay and a zener diode if you have really high efficiency targets to hit or you don't want to fry your NTC as the current picks up. I love these kinds of self-contained feedback tricks, they're super handy. And of course there's digital current controllers for high precision applications.
Figure 5 shows the relay circuit for a 1kW power supply. The relay is initially turned off. During power up, the input current flows through a 10Ω/10W cement resistor. Once the power supply is energized, a regulated bias voltage, 12V2, turns on the relay to minimize the power dissipation on the current-limiting circuit during normal operation.
Anyway. Reading specs it looks like there's a systematically higher inrush current in computer PSU's when you connect them to 230V, which is probably just Ohm's Law at work. A lot of supplies with really good 110V inrush limiting have utterly dogshit 230V inrush limiting.
An interesting problem I realize this might cause is that, because most tech reviewers are Americans with 110V, they won't pick this up as often. E.g. the highly recommended SF750 from Corsair has fantastic 120V inrush of ~30A but on 230W it's almost 80A, which would definitely trip a lot of home breakers.

Connection of CPM with AMETEK Latching relay
This diagram shows the connection of the AMETEK Latching Relay with CPM Board.
The relay is controlled by the CPM Board contacts. However, because the AMETEK Latching relay needs a high current rated power supply for the coils, the latching relay itself needs to be connected by means of auxiliary relays.
The auxiliary relays are powered by 12V, the 12V voltage is taken from the 4th cell (12V DC) and must be separately protected by a DC breaker.
After the disconnection it is necessary to press the START button to resume the function. There is also the STOP button to make the manual disconnect.
Please note the fusing in this circuit: two main fuses on the DC power line, one circuit breaker on the DC 12V line for the latching relay.

The functions of DC MCB and AC MCB are the same. They both protect electrical appliances and other load equipment from overload and short-circuit problems, and protect the circuit safety. but the usage scenarios of AC MCB and DC MCB are different. It generally depends on whether the voltage used is alternating current states or direct current states. Most of DC MCB uses some direct current systems like new energy, solar PV, etc. The voltage states of DC MCB is generally from DC 12V-1000V.
The difference between AC MCB and DC MCB by only physical parameters, the AC MCB has labels of the terminals as LOAD and LINE terminals whereas the DC MCB will have positive (+) or negative (-) sign on its terminal.
How to connect DC MCB correctly? Due to the DC MCB has a marking of ‘+’ and ‘-’ symbol only, it is often easy to connect incorrectly. If the DC miniature circuit breaker is connected or wired incorrectly, there are possibilities of problems occurring. In case of overload or short circuit, the MCB will not be able to cut the current and put out the arc, this may lead to the breaker burning out.

For 4P 1000V DC MCB has Three wiring methods, according to different usage states, to choose the corresponding wiring diagram to connect the wiring. Does AC MCB apply to DC states?
The AC current signal is continuously changing its value for each second. The AC voltage signal changes from positive to negative in every second of a minute. The MCB arc will be extinguished at 0 Volts, the wiring will be protected from a huge current. But the DC signal is not alternating, it flows in a constant state and the value for the voltage is only changed when the circuit is trip OFF or the circuit is decreased by some value. Otherwise, the DC circuit will supply a constant value of voltage for each second of a minute. So, as there is no 0 Volt point in a DC state, it doesn’t suggest that AC MCB applies to DC states.

Connection of BMS123 with AMETEK Latching relay
This diagram shows the connection of the AMETEK Latching Relay with BMS123.
The relay is controlled by the BMS123 Load Relay NC contact. The auxiliary relay is powered by the DC main voltage and it will create the impulse signal for the latching relay to disconnect.
Since the main coil of the AMETEK Latching Relay is powered by 12V, the 12V voltage is taken from the 4th cell (12V DC) and must be separately protected by a DC breaker.
After the disconnection it is necessary to press the START button to resume the function. There is also the STOP button to make the manual disconnect.
Please note the fusing in this circuit: two main fuses on the DC power line, one circuit breaker on the DC main for the auxiliary relay and the second circuit breaker on the 12V line for the latching relay.

AC Generators are useful appliances that supply electrical power during a power outage from national grid and prevent discontinuity of daily activities or disruption of business operations. Generators are available in different electrical and physical configurations for use in different applications. This work develops a design, Construction and Characterize fuelless AC Generator that generates electrical energy from an alternator interfaced with an inverter. The prime mover is DC electric motor which was connected to the alternator armature shaft. The DC electric motor was powered by rechargeable 24V 75Ah battery, and as it rotates it provides energy to the alternator resulting in generation of AC voltage. Part of the output voltage was rectified to provide 12V for recharging of the battery for it not to be drained. The other part was connected to which was connected to an inverter to provide 220V to the output circuit breaker for the utility load. A control panel was also in cooperated for monitoring and regulation for output voltage. The results were obtained using multi meter to read the output voltage at different load conditions and also measure the voltage output from different components of the control circuit. This gave stable 220V output voltage which was connected to load.
