Do you have book recommendations for someone wanting to have a good time reading
Depends on what you like! I used to work in a bookstore and the one thing I miss about it is being able to read as much as I wanted for free (we basically got library privileges unless we damaged whatever we were borrowing).
One of my very favorites (I have a tattoo inspired by the series, and visited some of the irl locations mentioned in the books) is the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire. Urban fantasy, faerie detective/PI protag, but also an endlessly unspiraling delight of worldbuilding and character development, plus a expansive examination of what it means to be family. Seanan is a master architect and I love rereading to see the all the little hints that you miss until many books later when they become relevant again.
For what it's worth I love many other parts of Seanan's oeuvre, but Toby is my fave (well, the Luidaeg really, but y'know). So if this particular series isn't for you, another one may be! Don't miss anything written by Mira Grant (alt/pen name for genre delineation) if you like more science-y thriller type stuff!
Of course I'll always recommend The Locked Tomb books by Tamsyn Muir, especially to my Tumblr pals. Ultimately an exploration of the many terrible and complex ways that broken people love each other (and/or die trying). Hella queer in multiple dimensions, sometimes deliberately oblique and infuriating, and absolutely enchanting in audio format, if that's something you're into.
Last but not least, if you're willing to tolerate a certain amount of faffing about and sometimes awkward writing, I do love The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. It was the first of his stuff I'd read, never really being into horror. But it's much more fantasy, though there's definitely horror elements. I had the wildest dreams the first time I read them! Also good in audiobook format though most people are partial to one narrator over the other (they recorded with one guy and then he died before reading all of them).
Or if you don't want to commit to visiting the Tower just yet, 11/22/63 is probably the best modern King, imo. With a hat tip to Joe Hill for the ending, of course. (We love Sai King but endings aren't his strong suit, shall we say)
Thanks for the excellent question! I hope you might find some good recs in here. :)

My July Reads Ranked
I don't see myself finishing a book in the next two days.
Prince's Gambit by C.S. Pacat: It's one of the best books I've ever read.
King's Rising by C.S. Pacat: It's my cousin, Charls!
Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat
The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells: This took me by surprise, I did not expect to love this as much as I did. I HATED Killian at the beginning of this book, and by the end of it, all I could do was keep trying to picture his thighs. It was such a fun time. My only gripe with this book was the use of the word cream, but other that, super fun book.
His Curvy Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells: This is the 4th book in this series, and I ended up reading all 5. This was pretty fun, but it didn't quite hit the same as the 1st book.
11/22/63 by Stephen King: I think if my expectations had been lower going into this book, I would have liked it more. But I don't regret reading it.
Barbarian's Rescue by Ruby Dixon: Not my favorite Barbarian book, but I still had a good time.
The Lone Wolf's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells: This was the 3rd in the series, and I didn't like it. But I liked it more than others. Some of the situations and themes were not it for me. It felt like, after the 2nd book, she started writing for a different audience.
Love Potion for the Alpha by Alice Coldbreath: I read a lot of werewolf smut this month, and this was short and fun. This book is funny.
The Heir Apparent's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells: The love interests had little to no chemistry; their convos were kind of weird.
The Stone Wolf's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells: It felt like Wells wanted to write a period piece in the modern world she had already built. It didn't hit for me.
Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean by Shiloh Sloane: I did not like this book, and that's fine. I have an entire shelf and kindle collection dedicated to books I don't like because it's as important as books I do like. It gives me insight into myself, and I like to pick apart everything I read. It's also fun to rant about books I don't like.
I learned this month, that I really like paranormal romances based on fated mates, so next month I'm going to do a fated mate Merman book. I like fantasy books with romance, but I do like political intrigue as well, so I'll be reading The Stolen Heir duology by Holly Black and One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig. I loved the sci-fi elements in 11/22/63, so I'll be reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir because I am so down for an epic sci-fi adventure. I keep trying to read dark romances thinking they'll take, so I'm going to try Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton, but I wouldn't be surprised if I dnfd it.

The Losers club/reddie thoughts:
Considering the book 11/22/63 Novel by Stephen King exists. It's canon than there's an version of events in the stephen king multiverse where Richie and Eddie get to be happy and together. There's a version of events where all the losers are together and happy. Where they can grow old together. The one we got in the it book is just one version of events that ends unhappy. There's a universe where Stan and Eddie lived. Where the losers didn't lose or forget each other.

Finally finished Oathbringer! If I’m being completely honest I’m gonna take a break from Stormlight archive. I’m sad that *spoiler*
Kaladjn and Shallan didn’t end up together so I’m taking a break out of spite lmao.
I’m a few chapters into 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Paperback. Heard it’s one of his best. Wanted a fun beach read bc going into a holiday weekend trip :)

Because the past isn’t just obdurate; it’s in harmony with both itself and the future.
Home is watching the moon rise over the open, sleeping land and having someone you can call to the window, so you can look together. Home is where you dance with others, and dancing is life.
We never know which lives we influence, or when, or why. Not until the future eats the present, anyway. We know when it's too late.
For a moment everything was clear, and when that happens you see that the world is barely there at all. Don't we all secretly know this? It's a perfectly balanced mechanism of shouts and echoes pretending to be wheels and cogs, a dreamclock chiming beneath a mystery-glass we call life. Behind it? Below it and around it?
Chaos, storms. Men with hammers, men with knives, men with guns. Women who twist what they cannot dominate and belittle what they cannot understand. A universe of horror and loss surrounding a single lighted stage where mortals dance in defiance of the dark.

So funny to think that in this Alternate Universe Jake sayed in Derry a few years to teach there. Obviously would mess up the whole plot of 11/22/63 but it's just for fun <3
